Saki found himself in his dorm room almost as if no time at all had passed. He gazed at the clock on his wall. The hands seemed to twist and turn in an unnatural fashion. The minute hand suddenly sprang forth and tilted upwards at a 55 degree angle. Saki looked up at where the minute hand was pointing. The ceiling? It's... a ceiling. Flat, uninteresting. Just as typical as any ceiling you've ever seen. He blinked.
The clock was back to normal. Now showing 7:30 in the evening.
-"Where'd the time go?" Saki murmured to himself.
The clock was gone.
Saki, admittedly was a little unnerved by what he was experiencing. He decided his best course of action was to seek companionship. He left his dorm and started walking through the halls of his dorm building. Doors and doors and doors and doors everywhere he looked. Numbers seemed to go as high as your imagination can conceive, and just as low too! Nevertheless, he searched onward. Walking until he reached a familiar door.
7 0 1
He reached his hand out and knocked. A moment passed, followed by some muffled movement. Eventually the door lock clicked and the door opened.
-"Hey Saki! What brings you here?" A warm, friendly voice welcomed, accompanied by the shuffling of a wagging tail.
-"Loneliness, Jack. Something only you boys can help with." Saki answered, giving Jack a hug. As he wrapped his arms around Jack, something drove him to move his arm upward. Up and up it went till it reached the collar of Jack's shirt. He grabbed it and squeezed. He felt control. After a moment he did notice what he was doing might be perceived as odd, so he let go of Jack's shirt.
-"Always happy to provide company. Come on in!" Jack motioned towards Saki to come inside. Saki obliged.
Dorm 701. A room full of canines. At least it used to be. It was remarkably empty, save for Jack.
-"So uhh... Where is everyone?" Saki asked, confused by the sheer emptiness of the space he occupied.
-"Well..." Jack started explaining. It's weird, Saki could see Jack's mouth was moving and his hands were gesturing, but there was no audible sound. Saki focused on Jack's mouth.
Teeth
Sound returned.
"And Legoshi's still at the drama club." Jack finished.
-"What a captivating, busy group of friends you have." Saki commented, cracking a smile.
-"All except for me I guess..." Jack lowered his head.
-"Nothing wrong with not having much to do. Look at me, what do I do?" Saki reassured, Jack gave a slight chuckle. Saki kept staring at him.
"No, seriously. What do I do?" Saki repeated, not breaking eye contact with Jack. Jack stared back at him for a bit, before looking away, clearly uneasy. Saki blinked
"Sorry. I'm not really feeling like myself. One of those days I suppose. Do you wanna play video games or something?"
-"You had me going there for a minute, hah. Sure, we can play something." Jack gave a sigh of relief.
Time passed. The room was filled with the sounds of video game fun and joy. A few swear words here and there cause man, Saki sure did suck at video games. Jack eventually sighed.
-"Boy, Legoshi sure is taking his sweet time at that drama club, huh?" Jack noticed, deciding to start up some conversation.
-"Exclusive pricks. You know you need an invitation to even join?" Saki groaned.
-"Really? I heard you just gotta be good-looking." Jack commented, giving Saki a certain look. Saki didn't recognize the expression Jack was wearing.
-"Nah, can't be true. Legoshi's there. Although he's on backstage duty..."
Jack stared at him for a bit, tilting his head as if he didn't get it.
"What? It's a joke. Am I not funny anymore?" Saki grumbled.
The two suddenly heard the doorknob turn behind them. Their ears perked up, and they turned towards the source of the noise.
The door opened slowly, and Legoshi dragged himself inside, staring at the floor.
"Oh! There he is!" Saki exclaimed. Legoshi quietly walked towards his bed and sat down.
-"Something wrong, Legoshi?" Jack asked, noticing the even more than usual quiet and shy Legoshi.
-"I'm just tired." Legoshi sighed.
-"Aren't we all?" Saki commented. "I didn't get into the drama club by the way, you could've mentioned that you need an invitation."
-"I must've forgot." Legoshi replied, rubbing his forehead.
-"Oh well. Least I talked to Louis again." Saki reminisced, filling up with joy.
-"Oh, Louis. What's he got to say?" Jack questioned.
-"Apparently he's asking around about Legoshi. And meeee." Saki giggled, much like a schoolgirl would.
-"You seem...excited about that?" Jack asked, his ear flopping down.
-"Course I am. He's really something. Didn't think he'd even see me from that pedestal everyone's got him on."
-"You think you got a shot?" Legoshi asked, flopping down on his bed.
-"Early to say. We had a nice lil' smoke break. Said I owe him a cigarette."
The gears in Jack's head suddenly started turning. After a moment he looked at Saki again.
-"Saki do you uhh... Like Louis?" Jack asked.
-"Maybe."
-"You do know that odds are-"
-"Don't." Legoshi interrupted. Saki perked up.
-"What?"
Jack was silent.
"Odds are?"
Jack sighed.
-"They're not exactly in your favour. He's got a lot of fan girls..."
-"I know but... I'm... It'll be fine." Saki quickly replied. The room was quiet.
"I'm gonna go now. Legoshi, you up for lunch tomorrow?"
-"Not tomorrow, sorry. I'm having lunch with Haru." Legoshi replied, scrolling on his phone.
-"Sure, pick your girl over me. I don't mind." Saki cut back. Legoshi rolled his eyes.
Saki left the room.
