"Are you ready for dinner, Ben?" Rey asks behind him.
He turns towards her and his heart stops. His eyes gaze at Rey in a beautiful, flowing dress of yellow and orange. She looks down at the ground and blushes with a shy smile. Ben stands and walks to her, taking her hand in his and lifting it to his lips.
"You take my breath away, Rey," his voice purrs as he kisses her soft knuckles.
She blushes even more and giggles as his breath tickles her skin in between his kisses. He interlaces his fingers in her own and they walk towards the door and out to dinner together. It is in the hotel restaurant, which they both feel thankful to be keeping things a little more laidback on the first night after their long flights. They order their food and enjoy chatting the night away as they finally revel in being together in person at last. Once they finish a delicious shared slice of chocolate cake, they each reach for the bill and giggle when their fingers brush together. Ben insists he pays and Rey makes him swear she'll be the one to get their next meal.
Rey and Ben walk hand in hand to the elevators to head back up to their room. Once they are back inside, they sit on the balcony together and watch the most incredible sunset, holding hands the entire time. When the sun sets below the ocean, the stirs and stands up to walk towards the edge of the balcony. Ben watches her curiously as she holds onto the railing with the wind blowing gently through her hair. He feels his heart racing as he gazes at her.
"Do you hear it?" she asks.
His ears try focusing in on what Rey has picked up. Ben stands up and walks over to the railing close to her. He listens and hears some music playing down below.
"It sounds like…La Vie en Rose," Ben says.
"Yes!" Rey breathes.
She turns to him with a wide grin before turning back to listen to the song play. He returns her smile and feels his heart flutter as he sees her start to sway to the music. Then he feels his heart beat faster as he hears Rey singing along.
"Hold me close and hold me fast…the magic spell you cast…this is La vie en Rose," she sings.
Rey feels Ben's eyes on her and she turns to see him staring at her. A blush creeps across her cheeks as she shakes her head shyly.
"I'm sorry, I can't help it," she says, her blush growing deeper.
"No, no, I…I love hearing you sing. You have the most beautiful voice," he says with a smile.
She blushes even more and grins up at him. Her eyes lock onto his and she feels her heart dancing wildly beneath her breasts.
"Rey, I…"Ben replies, stepping closer to her.
She steps closer to him as well, sliding her hand into his as she looks up at him. Her smile makes his heart burst.
"I'm so happy you're here and we're here," Rey says softly.
"I can't begin to tell you how happy being with you at last," Ben agrees.
He brings his hand to her cheek and caresses it tenderly. His fingers carefully tuck a stray curl behind her ear as he becomes lost into his eyes. She sighs and nuzzles her cheek into his hand as he gazes right back at him.
"Tell me what you're thinking," Rey whispers.
"I'm thinking about…how much I want to kiss you. How I…how much I've been wanting to kiss you for the longest time," Ben breathes.
She giggles and blushes, something Ben loves and knows he'll never get tired of. His breath catches as she leans into him.
"You must have been reading my mind, Ben," Rey purrs.
It's his turn to chuckle and he closes the distance, sighing as their lips finally meet for the first time. As they deepen the kiss, the song finishes with the lyric, "Give your heart and soul to me…and life will always be…La vie en Rose."
