"Ah at last…the night Captain Ren has come home," the man's voice rings out.
Rey watches as Kylo bows deeply towards the man before he stands back up to his full height. She can't help but take in his awesome stature as he addresses the seated man.
"Captain Snoke, we have come with your cargo as requested," Kylo states, ushering Mitaka forward with a sweep of his arm.
"Breezing right past pleasantries I see, Ren," Snoke remarks with a cocked eyebrow.
Rey sees Kylo shift his stance slightly and picks up nervousness from him. With all the stories she's heard of this great pirate captain, she would have never thought he was capable of such a feeling. But one look at Snoke makes her not doubt any nervousness Kylo feels at all. Kylo doesn't respond to Snoke's words and presses on with the task at hand.
"As promised, this is the last cargo run you have requested. Now my crew and I will be on our way," he says with a flat but commanding tone.
"Oh Ren, you're not staying? Please, you are my guest in this fair port town. At least stay the evening," Snoke presses, waving off Mitaka once he has his precious cargo in hand.
"With all respect, Captain, my crew and I would like to be on our way," Kylo replies, trying to stay firm.
"Kylo, stay the evening. It's the least I can do to thank you for this…last cargo run," Snoke says again in his oily voice.
A deep sigh rumbles through Kylo as he looks at the man who's stolen most of his life. He can't seem to get away even when he's completed his very last task. But perhaps acquiescing this one last time will finally allow him to be free.
"Fine, we will stay the evening. But we leave at dawn," Kylo mutters.
Snoke claps his hands together in triumph and sets about distributing keys to various hotel rooms available at the tavern. At first Kylo thinks to turn them down, wanting to stay on his own ship rather than under the same roof as Snoke. But feeling it might be best to follow suit in order to truly be let go, he takes the hotel keys in hand and turns to move with his landing party out of Snoke's chambers.
"Ah, just a moment Captain Ren," Snoke calls out.
Kylo's shoulder hunch in frustration as he slowly turns around to face the man. His men rest their hands on their weapons as does Rey on her own sword. Snoke stands from his throne and strides over towards the group.
"You forgot to introduce me to this lovely lass," he purrs.
Rey's eyes narrow and she shakes uncomfortably when Snoke lays his eyes on her. Kylo shifts to stand in front of her, shielding her from the dark man's hideous gaze.
"She is a new member of my crew. That is all," he replies cooly.
"Uh huh…well, enjoy yourselves and all Port Crait has to offer. You deserve it," Snoke says with a daring smirk.
Kylo quickly bows and leads Rey and his group out of Snoke's chambers as quickly as he can without seeming to be too hasty. Snoke watches them leave and raises a finger to one of his guards. The guard comes over and salutes at him.
"Follow them. Make sure they don't leave Port Crait," he snarls at the guard.
