Running of course I was running. That never changed,but this time I wasn't fast enough.Someone caught me,and the only ability I could use at the moment was my stupid slow slow ability .It's been useful in the past but the guy I tried to hit with my slow slow beam happened to have the mirror mirror ability so instead of the beam hitting him it bounced off the mirror he made and hit me instead.
It was like I couldn't move,and the guy that was chasing me caught me and tied me up with power ropes(like sea prism stone). Once the affects wore off I started fighting back,but with my wrist and feet bound together with power rope I was helpless.
"Should I turn you into Garp or should I use you as a slave?Hmmmm,I think I'm going to turn you in with your insanely high bounty I'll be set for life hahahahaha!"The man boomed with laughter.Garp did put a high bounty on me,55 billion berries for someone to turn me in,but the catch was I had to be alive or they wouldn't get a single berry."
"How about you let the kid go, and walk away and we'll let you live!"
A voice yelled. I looked up and saw five people standing on top of a building.
"I see you want his bounty too,to bad I'm getting that money!"The man who kidnapped me shouted. He grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder like I weighed nothing, and then he started running. I saw the people start chasing us. Would people just leave me be,I did nothing to them!
"Let the poor kid go!"I heard one of the men shout.Poor kid,they aren't after me,they're trying to save me? That doesn't make any sense for three months people have been trying to capture me for my bounty,I never imagined someone would try to help me!?
I guess my surprise must have been written on my face,one of the guys with white hair in the group look sad for a moment,but It was quickly replaced with a determined looked,as if saying everything was going to be ok.I won't lie a few tears slipped out,with my new powers my tears were different,and so were my eyes.My right was red and was crying blood,my left was gold and was crying REAL gold.And I always keep my right eye closed anymore,it reminded me to much of Coarpse.
I felt a jolt as we turned a corner we kept turning multiple times.I could tell he was trying to lose them. And it seemed like it was working, shortly enough we were in an alley way."Hah,seems like we lost them."The man whispered.I was scared but that didn't stop me from putting up a brave face.
Those people were willing to save me, I can't just sit here doing nothing!Theres also one thing I've learned about power ropes,since people keep using them on me.They can't contain my powers for long,and Corpse didn't want me to go back to Garp so he'd let me go all out.
"Hah,looks like we lost them!" The man was laughing insanely. He put me down against a building and put a gag around my mouth that way the other people couldn't hear me if I were to cry out for help.He started to stare intensely at me,his eyes started to look glassy as if the was no life in them.
His eyes didn't look like that before,somethings wrong.He continued to look at me with a creepy smile.I decided to retreat into my mind to see if Corpse did something.
"What did you do?"I said angrily. I couldn't see him but I knew he was there in the darkest corner of my mind."Well due to the fact that they're my powers not yours,they aren't suited for your body and therefore cannot be controlled. Not even by me the owner of the ability's,but the one that's affecting him now is the lust lust ability."
"Wait you're saying that even if you wanted to you couldn't help me!"I yelled,and he started laughing like a mad man."Help you,why would I want to do that,you clearly don't understand what it is that I want!"I was confused I never even thought he'd want anything from me,after all I don't have anything.
"Unfortunately for me though your fathers words replay in your mind and your bound to find out." He said sulking.
The words my father said?Does he mean when dad told to not give into the voice?A few moments went by and the man was still starring at me. What is this guy going to do to me,and what's this lust thing Corpse was talking about?
Then the man got closer to me. Worry found it's way into my heart, what is happening.I was terrified,I didn't even notice I was backing away until my back hit a sturdy wooden wall.The man got so close to me I could feel his breath as he whispered in my ear.
"You know I could have a little fun with you before I turn you into Garp."
His voice was clouded with something I couldn't recognize,I've never heard anyone talk like that before.I was confused and uncomfortable.
I was frozen I couldn't move out of fear.Then I felt something wet tracing my ear lobe,was he licking me?! I didn't know why but that sent shivers down my spine,my gut began to churn and I felt like throwing up,what this man was doing,I didn't know what it was all I knew was that it was disgusting.
He had me in a firm grasp so I couldn't defend myself as he slowly made his way down to my neck and licked it too.He then grabbed a fist full of my hair and then proceeded to BITE and suck on my neck.It hurt and for some reason I've never been so disgusted.
I was thrashing violently now Determined to get away from this sicko.I closed my eyes trying to pretend this was a nightmare and not reality.
I was surprised when the man stopped and fell to the ground DEAD. What just happened,then I heard a buzzing noise,it sounded like a chainsaw?I slowly opened my eyes and saw one of the guys that was chasing me earlier,from the group that was trying to save me.
"Sorry We couldn't get here earlier kid I bet that was terrifying." His voice was rough and scary sounding but I can tell he didn't have any Ill intent. I then looked at the man that was touching me in any uncomfortable manner and found him laying in a pool of his own blood,death isn't uncommon around here.In fact it's actually uncommon for someone to have a kill count of zero.
The guy that saved me took the gag out of my mouth and untied the power ropes.I stood up and looked at him,I bet he could read the confusion on my face,yet he kept a smile.
"What's your name kid?" The man asked.I stared at him intently for a few moments."Ummm….. it's….. Luffy, What about you?"He smiled brightly."My name is Inazuma I'm a member of the Revolutionary army on this island."A revolutionary? "What's a revolutionary?"
"His smile faulted a little but quickly came back."A Revolutionary is someone who fights against the system when they think something is unfair and try to break that system."
"So are you guys fighting against Garp?"I asked. He looked at me and smiled brightly."You bet,that man has got to go he's evil and corrupt,and he has hurt many people he needs to be brought to justice!"He sounded so passionate about taking Garp down,I felt like I found someone I trust.
"Inazuma did you find the kid- oh you did, great job!" A very jolly voice echoed from behind Inazuma. "That's Smoker his the current leader of our base.He's kinda childish but he's cool."Inazuma said while looking from Smoker back to me.This Smoker guy finally caught up and had the rest of their small group with him.
"Hi kid,you're ok I was scared that guy was going to give you to Garp."Smoker said while patting my back.Yep just like Inazuma said this man Is VERY childish.But honestly it was heart warming to see a cheerful face in a place like this.
"Guys this kids name is Luffy,he seems like a nice kid,how old are you squirt?"Inazuma asked."Oh I'm 11 years old." I was kinda surprised they even asked.
"Wow your 11 what are you doing out here by yourself don't you have a family?"A girl with dark blue hair and glasses asked."I got separated from my family 7 years ago,by……Garp."
I looked at the ground unsure of how they were going to react.
"It's always Garp isn't it."Smoker said angrily,but I could tell he was mad at Garp not me.The biggest man in the group started to talk and I could tell he was a very gentle person I could see it in his eyes.
"Smoker you have to keep a cool head don't act out of anger."The big guy said.Smoker just stuck his tongue out and pouted.
"My name is Kuma by the way,and this young lady is Tashigi."His voice was so gentle when he talked I instantly liked him.I looked behind all of them and saw the last person of the group,he had strange hair,it looked like something I saw in a book once I think it was called a pineapple.He was standing there watching his friends talk,but so far hasn't engaged much,he looked deep in thought.
"Hey Marco aren't you going to say hi?"Smoker asked him.The man with the pineapple hair now known as Marco finally looked up and looked at me.He looked like he was calculating something for a moment but seemed to disregard it.
"Oh sorry,I was lost in thought,my name is Marco like Smoker said." He smiled warmly,and I couldn't help it I smiled back they all seem so nice. But I should probably get going I don't want to cause them anymore problems.
"Thanks for saving me but I should get going I need to find shelter before the blood moon."Just as I finished saying that Smoker looked a me with a firm look, that I didn't know he was capable of.
"No can do kid,we're not leaving you here by e with us we have a base not to far from here."Smoker said a matter of factly.
"But if I go with you it'll cause problems,Garps after me and he's not going to let up simply because someone's protecting me."I looked down at my feet and sighed.
"Kid Smokers right we aren't leaving you out here, especially since Garps after you,I already told you we're revolutionaries we go directly against Garp,he's been trying to get rid of us for years,having you with us isn't going to change anything." Inazuma looked at me and smiled. I just stared shock was probably obvious on my face.
"Come on Smoker and Inazuma already made up there mind and so have the rest of us,we aren't going to force you to do anything you really don't want to do.But at the same time you're a little kid and it would be irresponsible for us revolutionaries to leave you by yourself."Tashigi put a hand on my shoulder,I could tell she had a soft spot for kids.
"Ok I'll go with you guys."I said soundly defeated.At least I'd have a place to stay.Smoker beamed and grabbed my hand and started dragging me to their base.I could hear the others laughing at a Smokers antics.
Did I really find a place I could go,people that cared for my safety, people that were going directly against Garp.For the first time in seven years I felt safe.
