I walked into the bar,it was so loud,it didn't feel much different then the first time I walked in here in my vision.I looked around and saw Soul's group,and I saw the fat guy that made fun of my mom. I wanted to punch him so bad,but that wouldn't be appropriate, Marco is outside with their buddy,and I don't think Soul would give out anymore info if I start a fight with their group.Not that i'm allowed to anyway,since that was one of the conditions of me coming with them.
Which made me think,why did Marco just go along with what Soul wanted even though the group said i'm not allowed to be alone.I mean the dude is scary, that I can plainly see,but still I don't understand,what was it Soul wanted to know but couldn't have me there for it.Was it something inappropriate,I mean I read a lot of books In the library,there were plenty that explained sex.So was that what he wanted?
I'd rather not think about it,as I got further into the bar,I noticed people were starting to stare at me.I paid them no mind and continued towards a table in the Conner.I learned the best way to gather info was to listen and not ask for it.But I forgot Soul told his buddy's to keep an eye on me,so to my dismay that fat man from eailer came to sit with me.
"Hey kid the boss told me to keep an eye on you."He said as he sat down.
"I don't know why I can take care of myself I don't need anyone to watch over me."I said clearly pissed,He just kinda laughed at me.
"Well since we're both stuck here,let's at least try to pass the time." I sighed there was no arguing with him,and he refurred Soul as his boss.And in this world a group of people don't call you boss because you're good at trading info.No this means that this Soul guy in charge of a group,and to be in charge of a group in our world means your really strong.Best to play it safe for now.
"I'll start my name is Lucky Ro what's yours?"He smiled down at me, I couldn't see his eyes due to his tinted glasses.
"It's Luffy."
"What about your last name?"
"I don't have one."That wasn't true but giving anyone my last name is a death sentence.
"Aww that's sad,do you have any family?"
"Yes,but I haven't seen any of them in years."
"How old are you?"
"I'm 11 year old."
"What's your ability's?"
"I have three,a crystal sword,floating,and barrier."I have a lot more then that.
"How did you meet the Revs?"
"They saved me from being sold into slavery a few weeks ago." I was making some of this up,I don't care who you are I am not giving you sensitive information!
"Where were you born?"
"Heck if I know."He didn't seem to pleased with my answers,well what did he expect,i'm not just going to open up to someone simply because they asked me to.But if hes asking me questions i may as well ask a few myself.
"Why did your boss want you to watch me?"
"He said you weren't supposed to be on your own,and that a kid alone in a bar wasn't something he wanted."
"He lies."
It was at that moment the door into the bar swung open and Soul walked in.But Marco didn't?He spotted me at the table with Lucky Ro and waved at us,and beckoned me to come outside with him.I followed and once outside I saw Marco with a troubled expression.
"Me and Marco are done,both of you should return to your group. Oh and Luffy,don't even think about asking what we were talking about."I froze at his almost evil demeanor.
"Fine whatever."At this point I was done being scared of him.He tricked my mother into who knows what,I didn't trust him from the start.And I sure as heck wasn't going to listen to him.But I know Marco wouldn't tell me anyway so there was no point in asking.
But what Soul did next shocked me,he walked up to me and gave me a hug.No one has hugged me In years.But I do still know what a hug should feel like.It should be warm and comforting. This felt cold and threatening,I didn't like it.He let me go and held onto my shoulders and gave me an Erie smile.I don't like this man,not one bit!He then let go and started walking away and put a hand up.
"See you later Marco,and I hope to see you again Luffy." And with that he went into the bar and was gone.
"You shouldn't of let him do that."I know now shut up.
"What was that about?"
"I believe Soul said not to ask." He was glaring at me hard core.
"What! I wasn't talking about that I was talking about the weird hug!"Marco seemed to have calmed down as I said this.
"Don't think to much about it,Soul is a strange man he probably just wanted to freak you out,he did the same thing to me when we first met.Anyway we should get back to the group before the sun sets or else were going have night crawlers on our backs,let's get moving."I followed Marco as we walked towards the same place we all broke off at and we were the last ones there.
"Ok,let's get back to base, if anyone did find anything it's best not to talk about it in the open."Smoker stated and everyone started heading back to base.Once we were back we all shared the information we gathered.Marco told them what we found out and they told us what they found out.
"Who do you think Doll is looking for,she doesn't normally leave the Castle unless something happened." Inazuma thought out loud.
"Did anyone find out when she started doing this?" Kuma asked. " Someone said about six months ago,she was just doing it on the low,now she's more active about it."Tashigi piped in."Well whatever the case we need to watch out for her.And Marco,Soul didn't take anything from you did he? He's been taking random stuff almost every time we bump into him." Smoker asked Marco.
"Not that I know of."He started patting himself down."No I still have everything nothing is missing."
"Luffy what about you?"Marco asked
"I don't know,what's there to take?" I started checking myself over, then a thought struck me.Soul hugged me,and when he hugged me his arms were under my armpits and his arms went up my back,but I never felt his hands.He must have taken something then, but what?"
"Luffy didn't you have a locket necklace when we left?" Tashigi asked me concerned.
"Well yeah,what about" I reached to where my necklace should have been but it was gone"it………,CRAP, this is bad this is REALLY BAD!" I started freaking out and normally i'm able to keep my freak outs inside but this time someone took something that could be the end of me!
"I told you you shouldn't of let him do that."
"That locket is the most important possession I own!"It had two pictures that would make me an even bigger target,ones of me and Nami,the outfits we are wearing in that picture are from Gōmon Shisetsu,so it would be obvious i'm a run away slave.But the other one was the one that would have me screwed,it was the one of my parents and brothers which my parents clearly are Garps son and Newgates Daughter. This isn't good,and it's in Soul's possession right now which is,in my mind,the worse case scenario!
"That is the worst case scenario."
"Luffy calm down,are you sure he took it?"Kuma asked.
"We'll 'm not a hundred percent sure but he's the only person I could think of that could have taken it…."I calmed down a bit,I do remember putting a seal on that necklace,i'm the only one who can open it.So even if Soul does have it he cant open it.So that put my mind at ease.
"Why is that necklace so important Luffy?"Tashigi spoke up.
"Because if Soul can open it you'll be in danger."
"It was the last thing someone important to me gave me before they died….,is there any way to get it back.?"I looked at all of them hoping there was a way.
"I'm sorry Lu,Soul never stays in the same place for long especially if he took something.And even if we were to find him we wouldn't be able to get it back unless he didn't want it anymore. So until he gets bored with it he won't give it back."Smoker explained.
"Thats true."How do you even know Soul?
"What if we just take it back?"I was desperate and wasn't thinking clearly anymore,that necklace was the only personal idem I had left!
"Sorry Luffy there is no chance of that,Soul is stronger then everyone in the Revolutionary Army combined,and that includes those at HQ.He just to powerful,surly you noticed that when you met him."Marco look at me with sad eyes,which to me looked like he was just telling me to let it go.
"Fine i'm going to the library to be alone for a bit."And with that I flew off,not wanting to talk with anyone at the moment,I just need some time by myself.I should have never left base.
Nine months later
Today is my twelfth birthday,and honestly I didn't wanna celebrate like every one in the Revolutionary army seems to do when they have a birthday.Heck I didn't even tell anyone my birthday was today,I just stayed in the library like I normally do. I haven't left base since the first time,which was driving me nuts. I was trying to distract myself with anything I could.
Someone in the army died this morning,with no explanation too,it was unsettling,why does this always seem to happen on my birthday?
The group left this morning to look for supplies and information,I listen in on the information they get,since they only share it at base.Sure i'm not supposed to listen to these conversations,but I felt it was necessary.I was listening to see if Soul ever came around,which he hasn't since I first met the dude.
But today when the group came back,that was a different story. Soul did show up again and for some reason he was looking for me.Did he want to give me my necklace back,I mean I can tell my seal wasn't broken so he hasn't been able to get into it somehow.
I listened in more to their conversation,I felt bad for ease dropping, these are my friends after all.They feed me,put a roof over my head,and they actually care about me.I long since forget my mistrust in Marco,he didn't seem like a bad guy at all,in fact he's the one that normally helps me train.He's taught me more how to fight then anyone in the army.Tashigi and Kuma often play board games and read me stories at night.Smoker is the same as always,I trust him and he's always there whenever I need advice. Inazuma ended up being in charge of my schooling,which got a little akward when he had to teach me sex Ed.
That was a week i'd rather wipe from my brain,I mean I already had an idea for what sex was but I didn't want to know it in detail. How can two people do that to each other,YUCK! I liked everything else though,history was my favorite to learn,they all even decided that's the one they should focus the most on since I knew nothing about the world around me.But I have a much better grasp on the world now then I did a year ago.
Back to there conversation,they were saying that they weren't going to tell me about this,since they thought I might freak out. Which honestly I wasn't,i'm used to being hunted down,one more person wasn't to big of a difference no matter how strong they are,I mean Garp is still looking for me and he hasn't found me yet.
I decided to leave after they were done talking and I went to the library.Which was empty,no shock there.I flew around and looked for a book to read,I still haven't read even half the books in here yet, there were so many.I decided to read a book called'The Night Theif' it wasn't very exciting and quite frankly it was boring.
I left the library and went to the training room where I found my group.
"Lu come join us!"Smoker shouted at me.
"I'm coming!"I yelled back and walked towards them.
After all these years I felt like I had a family,and I never wanted to let them go.
