Three years later
Time seams to have moved so fast i'll be fifteen in a week,my last birthday didn't have many mishaps,besides the one,so maybe this one won't either. And the group did find out when my birthday was and decided that they were going to celebrate.I wasn't excited at first,but with them all running around trying to keep the party a secret,I found that I was actually getting excited.
Everything has been peaceful for two years maybe I can relax for once.I saw Smoker running up at me.
"He Lu the group is going on a last minute supply run we'll be back in an hour,stay out of trouble!"And just like that he ran off,it was something he did often.The group went on supply runs like this a least once a week.So after he ran off I went to my room to take a bath.I learned from the first time taking a bath,to not use to much bubbles in the tub.Instead I just filled the cap and poured that in, which still gave me plenty of bubbles,which I found fun to just play with.It's kinda funny,for the first time in several years I finally was acting like a kid.
Most of the Revs found it odd that I act like I was several years younger then I actually was.But it was nicer then acting like I was older the I was.
I got up and changed into my shirt and pants,which I changed a couple months ago,Now my shirt was a purple tank top with a u neck and both sleeves where detached and I had belts on both ends of the sleeves and two belts crossed at my waist.And my pants were pretty much the same brown baggy pants.
I put on a normal par of boots that were just calf high and didn't have any equipment.I also stopped wearing my cloak and goggles around base since there would be no point.I already know everyone here and I trust them.I mean they are fighting for the same reason I want to fight.
When Smoker and them get back I want to talk to them about perhaps going with them again.I mean they were already trying to convince me to leave base for at least a little bit,since i've become one of their strongest members.But Marco would always say it was to soon and I was to young,and that I wasn't ready,I mean I don't really agree,the only thing I agreed on was I wasn't ready. Since the last time I left i've been to scared to leave,with Robin looking for me and Soul stealing my necklace I just wasn't prepared.
I walked around the base for a bit,nothing of interest,I decided to go back to the library,which was completely empty.Even the grouchy librarian was no where in sight.Which was odd since it's in the middle of the day.Even the clock at her desk said I was only 10am.She should be here,she doesn't take her lunch until 11am. Maybe she's in the bathroom,that's the only place I could think of her being I mean Hina was always on time for everything.
I decided not to think to much on it and went to go look for a book.About ten minutes passed and I still haven't found a book to read.Then I heard a loud alarm go through out the entire base.
INTRUDER ALERT INTUDER ALERT EVERYONE IN COMBAT POSITIONS, I REPET INTUDER ALERT EVERYONE IN COMBAT POS-*
The alarm was so loud and I just kept repeating over and over again.Then all of a sudden it stopped,but it sounded like it just died. Who ever broke into the base must have cut the wires.
A couple minutes later the lights went out,I was on high alert. I left my goggles which had night vision in my room,and I can't really depend on my abilities.But I could still fly,so I flew up slowly and traced the book shelf as I went up,and stood on top of it,no way am I going to let someone catch me off guard in the dark!
I listened for any movement,there was none,the only thing that I could depend on at the moment was my hearing.I stayed put and listened,still nothing,not a single sound,then I heard it.A scream,someone died,was it the intruder or was it one of the Revs. Either way I wasn't moving,I wanted to help people but I couldn't unless I could see!
Then I heard someone enter the library,I went deathly still and didn't move.I heard them walk down the Isles,they didn't seem to be trying to keep there presence a secret.A couple shelves down from me I heard the foot steps stop.And for awhile I heard nothing.
The sound of some books falling caught my attention,who ever this was somehow got closer to me without me noticing.Then the book shelf I was on shook and I lost balance and fell on my face,which no doubt the person heard.But I didn't hear anything so I just stood back up in the darkness.Where did they go?Surly they heard me. It was then that a felt a pair of arms go around my waist.I clawed at them in an attempt to pry them off but to no avail.
Who ever this was jumped down from the book shelf with me held firmly in his grasp.I struggled against his grip,I tried to head butt him,kick him in the dick,anything!But nothing worked.He then switched me over to his right arm and held me up under his armpit. How strong is this dude he ain't budging! I tried using my powers to break free only to realize that they weren't working.My powers were just gone!It must have something to do with whatever this guys powers are.I still was trying to claw my way out of his grip.But what I didn't notice at first was his arms were hard and I wasn't do any damage!
Eventually I had enough and started to shout at him.
"LET ME GO!PUT ME DOWN!" I punched at him and tried to throw him off balance.Anything,and the most annoying thing he refused to talk to me,I still couldn't see him due to the darkness.So I have no idea who i'm dealing with.It can't be Garp or his men,they are all to arrogant and would give themselves away immediately. And whoever this was wasn't giving me anything to go by.I'm up against an unknown enemy in the dark,ALONE,and he is currently kidnapping me with little to not effort at all,it was annoying
Then in the distance I could hear people talking,they didn't sound familiar really.Then I saw a small lit up room in the distance,and judging by where we just came from,I know that room.It was mine, why were there people I don't know in my room?Well I guess i'm about to find out since that's where he was taking me.My door was wide open and I could see peoples shadows in the doorway but they weren't in front of the door.We got to the door and went through.I looked around it was the people from Dead Man's Bar!
The man then roughly threw me on my bed,I quickly got up and looked at him,and I was horrified.Standing right in front of me with a smug expression,was none other then Soul.I glared at him hard core.
"What are you doing here!"I yelled out in anger,he just stared at me for a moment,then pulled out my locket,I looked at him with shock and then pure anger.I got off the bed and looked straight at him with the most rage i've ever expressed.
"Give.That.Back."I said with venom,he looked at me a laughed.
"I don't think I will,it's a fine piece of jewelry." I glared daggers at him.
"Though I have found that there is a seal on it,and i'd like to see inside,and given that you were the owner i figured you would know how to undo the seal.Would you do that for me Luffy~" I went to punch him in the nose but was caught off guard when the bartender caught my hand and pinned me to the ground.Soul then leaned down.
"That wasn't very nice Luffy,I just wanted to see the contents of this here locket."He swung it back and forth in front of my face to mock me.
"I'm not opening it for a bastard like you!"I shouted in his face.
"Wow Luffy,I just asked you to tell me how to open it,the way that you said it was for you yourself to open it.Tell me Luffy are you keeping this seal in place?"I wanted to wipe that smug expression from his smarta* face.
"As if i'd tell you sh*t yo-"He roughly grabbed my jaw.
"I don't think a kid you're age should be cussing at his superiors,now either you open the locket,or this gets ugly."His expression changed from smug to pure anger.
"F*k you."Was all I said in retaliation.He slapped me hard in the face.I mean i've been slapped before,but he had the heftiest slap i've ever experienced .The bartender then dropped me on the ground and Soul kicked me in the face and then pulled on my hair.
"Come on Luffy it can't be that hard."Soul said with an almost sweet smile,he makes me sick.
"Why do you want to see inside my locket so bad?!" It didn't make any sense,he doesn't even know me and he's trying so hard to get into my personal idems!
"We'll at first I thought it was just a pretty necklace and wanted it,but I noticed that after I took it you never came back out of the base,I waited patiently.And that got me thinking what's so important about this here locket that would make you so scared to leave base? I think you're trying to hide something."He leaned in next to my ear and I backed away until my back hit a wall.
"Undo the seal,and maybe i'll show you a bit of mercy."
"No chance in hell am I opening anything for a sadistic f*k like you!" He looked pissed beyond belief,and then his faced darken as he smiled insanely down at me.
"Luffy~ I do believe I told you not to,"He picked me up and threw me in my bathroom,where one of his men have already filled the tube up with water,"CUSS AT YOUR SUPERIORS!"He then shoved my face in the water and held me down.I squirmed in his grip and I struggled to get up to breathe.
He pulled me up only to push me back down again,he did this at least ten times before roughly pulling me out and dragged me out of the bathroom and tossed me at the ground.I was coughing up large amounts of water.
"Are you going to tell me now or do I have to convince you in other ways~"I could tell what he was implying.
"You wouldn't dare!"I rasped out,His men started laughing,and Shanks did as well."I would dare,heck we could all take turns with you~"His men start to hoot and holler.A look of absolute fear and terror crossed my face as Soul grabbed the helm of my pants.
"Fine i'll open it."I sighed out,my locket had different sections on it,the only picture that they would see if I opened it was the one of me and Nami,the one of my family was hidden.So at the very least they won't know i'm essentially the prince of the world.His men looked disappointed,which scared the tar out of me,these absolute perverts! I opened the locket and Soul looked at the picture of me and Nami.
"Oh i see,you didn't want anyone to know about this so no one could rat you out,are you the kid Doll is looking for?" I slowly nodded,and he smiled.
"What does King Garp want with you,if you were just a plain experiment then he would have just let you go,it makes me wonder~"
"I don't really know the answer to that,he never gave me a reason for anything he did….."
"We'll regardless i'm going to keep you,now would you be a dear and put these on~" He got closer to me.
"NO,STAY AWAY FROM ME!"I tried to get as far away as I could but it didn't seem to do anything,and to my utter dismay Soul grabbed both my hands,put them behind my back and locked the handcuffs in place.He then secured my necklace back on my neck.
Two of his men then grabbed and arm each and lifted me off the ground,and started to head for the exit of the base.I still struggled but it didn't do anything.Eventually we made it to the elevator,which still had power do to it being on another power grid.Soul started to hum happily as we got into the elevator.Then he started to laugh insanely,and all his men joined in.I'm stuck with a bunch of mad men and I can't use any of my abilitys.
"Do you think Garp would be mad that we got to him before him?" One of his men laughed out,the big round one.
"Maybe,I mean Garp was looking for his pretty little face~"Soul laughed out while pulling on my cheek and wiggling it,He then left go.
"Screw the Kings anyway,since they won't be in charge for long!"Soul cheered with a smile.
"That's insane! I don't care how strong you are you can't take on all the Kings!"I shouted at him,and he just smiled warmly at me.
"As a matter of fact I can,All I have to do is touch them and I win the fight,well it wouldn't be much of a fight."He laughed out at the end.The elevator reached the top,and the doors open I was practically blinded by the sun light,I haven't been outside in two year,so my eyes are very susceptible to bright lights.
"What about my team?Where are they?"This was the first time I didn't shout,I was genuinely concerned about them,they should have been back by now.
"Oh them,psh,they have their own problems to deal with right now that have nothing to do with us."Soul just brushed me off.
"They're my friends,at least tell me what's happening with them!" This time I abandoned the soft approach,and yelled out in anger, these are my friends that have been taking care of me for two years! I need to know if they are ok or not!
"Are you sure you want to know that?"Soul had an evil gleam in his eye as he said this.
"YES,I want to know!"
"Ben could you gag him?"Ben was then in front of me with two pieces of cloth.
"NO,stop I-" I couldn't even finish my sentence, since Ben shoved the gag in my mouth and tied it.I really hate these guys.Soul then approached me and grabbed my cheek.
"You wanted to know so bad,this is the cost of knowing, I mean we can't have you screaming out to them."Screaming out to them, to what, help me? They couldn't take this guy down I know that,all he has to do is touch them and their powers are gone!
They then started dragging me into an alleyway and walked down in for about ten minutes until I could see a clearing in the town,Where I saw all my friends fighting…….. Marco!Marco betrayed us,and is trying to kill the group.
"Marco payed me a good some of money to get rid of the Revs at the base while he took care of them.But he doesn't know that we're keeping you,he thinks we were going to kill you."Soul explained as I watch in terror as Inazumas body exploded.I tried to scream out but couldn't with the gag.
"Don't be stupid kid,this guy thinks we killed you,wouldn't want him to know you're still alive.He is King Laws right hand man after all.
Marco was working for Law,all this TIME!I was pissed off,and yet could do nothing as I watch all my friends get slaughtered,until Smoker was the last one standing.Marco just stabbed him in the gut and walked away,knowing he'd eventually die from blood loss.Soul took out my gag as soon as Marco was long gone.
"Let him go he isn't going anywhere."Soul stated knowingly, and he was right I wasn't running away,I just want to hold Smoker.They even undid my handcuffs,which kinda shocked me,but Soul's expression said I wasn't going anywhere,they all followed me as I ran to Smoker.Eventually I was sitting next to him,I saw him smile weakly at me.
"Sorry Luffy Marco got us,he was just to strong,that dang trader." He breathed out angrily,as I slowly picked him up.
"Don't talk to much Smoker."I said while silently crying.
"And Marco wasn't the only one to betray the army….." I whispered to him.
"Who else?"He managed to rasp out,then I heard Soul and his group behind me,and Soul whistled.
"Dang,Marco did a number on you guys,then again none of you were very strong."Soul and his men laughed,and I wanted to strangle him.He couldn't even at least show some sympathy,all of my friends are dead and one is dying in my arms!
"Soul….."Smoker spoke with so much venom for someone who was dying.
"All the Revs are dead Smoker,Luffy is the last one."Soul was clearly thrilled to rub it in Smokers face as he was dying.I barely paid Soul any attention,and instead hugged Smoker closer,not caring that I was getting his blood on me.Why,why does it always end this way?!Would it be better to just not get close to anyone all! They always end up dying,right before my eyes and i'm powerless to do anything.I still can't use my powers,if I could I would have already kicked Soul and Marcos butts and i'd be a able to heal the group.But for some reason they were still gone.
"What are you planning on doing with him…?"Smoker glared at Soul,even harder then I have.Which I didn't know was possible.
"What do you think we're going to kill him?"Soul asked with a laugh and a smile.Smoker looked like he wanted to say yes but was too weak now to say it,he's almost gone.
"No,no Luffys fate is one worse then death,he gets to spend the rest of him miserable life being my toy,until i'm tired of him~"Soul sung out in a crazy tone.Smoker looked shocked,and clearly pissed,and he grabbed on to the collar of my shirt.Soul decided to leave me alone with him in his final moments.At least he has some respect,be it very little.
"Listen Luffy,I know things aren't looking good right now,but you need to find a way to escape.As you've probably already seen, Soul is a very cruel man…."Smoker then pulled a map from his pocket.
"Here I just got this before we were attacked,it's a map that will lead you to all three kingdoms take it and hide it.Whenever you get a chance jump ship and swim to king Newgates island."I nodded,but what does he mean by swim,I mean the Revs gave me a few swimming lessons but it wasn't something I was good at.And jump ship?What ship,is Soul taking me out to sea?!
I could feel Smokers grip loosen.
"I Love you Lu."His said as he took his last breath.
"I love you too…."I cried ad Smoker died in my arms.
