All I could see was darkness,was I dead.No I can hear someone asking me to wake up,Could I?I felt something pounding on my chest,but I didn't move,there was sand everywhere it was uncomfortable.The pounding didn't stop,at some point I could feel something trying to breathe air into my lungs and then pound on my chest again.And I shot staight up nearly headbutting the person who saved me.Well I wouldn't call them a person,they looked more like….a raccoon dog?
"I don't think that's a thing Luffy."Well I don't know what he is so….
"Oh thank goodness you're alive,I thought I lost you."The small raccoon sighed out.
"Who are you,where am I?"I asked.
"You're on nut case island and he's you therapist."I hate you.
"You're on a monster island called Dressrosa,not a safe place to be. Do you have any way to leave?"He squeaked out.
"No I was fleeing from a pirate ship that kidnapped me,so I have no way to leave,but I should still have a map on me."I shoved my hand into my pocket and was relieved to find the map Smoker gave me.
"You will need to stop at Baltigo first,if you head straight for your grandpas island Soul with easily find you."Why do you care, normally you'd be thrilled that i'm suffering.
"How far is Baltigo Island from here?This is my first time looking at a map."I handed him the map since he seemed trust worthy,I mean he did save my life,He looked at it.
"It's about a three days trip by boat from here,but you don't have a boat,and it's impossible to get a boat off this island without outside help."He then handed me the map back.
"What am I going to do then,I mean I guess I could try swimming." The Raccoon dog looked at me in horror.
"You are a horrible swimmer,let's do it."Theres the a*hole I know and hate."You're welcome."
"Are you KIDDING you almost drowned,are you crazy,no you can stay at my place until we find a way for you to leave the island."
"Really?"He nodded."Wow,thanks raccoon dog."I smiled at him,but he seemed offended.
"I AM NOT A RACCOON DOG IM A RAINDEER!"He yelled at me.
"Told you."Ok fine you were right.
"Oh,i'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you,i've just never seen a raindeer before,my bad.Thank you for saving my life and letting me stay with you by the way."I smiled at him,and he started to do a happy dance.
"Your welcome,but don't expect me to be happy about it." He said with a cute smile.Was he really mad I thanked him,I couldn't tell.My thoughts then drifted to Soul,did he survive too?If so is he and his crew looking for me.Honestly i'd rather not know and just move on,and avoid him.
"That's easier said then done,Soul doesn't let things that he likes go easily."What is your history with Soul anyway,did Soul steal your bottle as a baby and now you hate him?"Luffy,it's best you stop asking,you don't want the answer,trust me…."
"Anyway, my names Luffy,i'm 14 going to be 15 next week,what about you Mr.Raindeer?"He smiled up at me.
"What was the point in telling him your age exactly?"Shut up I just felt like it!"Oh,ok so I guess you can also tell people you're royalty because you feel like it?"No that's stupid."And you think telling someone you just met your age when you don't know if they are friend or foe,isn't stupid?"Ugh I guess you have a point there,that was kinda dumb.
"It's Chopper,it's nice to meet you Luffy,i'm a doctor on this island and i'm 13 years old,I treat those who are wounded."Well that is what a doctor does,but doing that at ten ,he must be really smart.
"Is it something in the water,he didn't need to tell you his age EITHER,he doesn't know if you're friend or foe either!"
"Anyway Luffy like I said before this island is dangerous,here put this on for now."He pulled out a cloak from his bag,and I put it on.
"Are you back to hiding again,man this blows!"Stop wining,you want me to get away from Soul don't you?"Well yeah it's just…. never mind do what you want,i'll be here if something goes wrong,which knowing you something will."Rude!
"Lead the way Chopper."
We walked down a forest trail until eventually a city came into view.It was massive,i've never seen such tall buildings before,but at the same time it had a more eerie feeling then Garps kingdom,I didn't like this place,not one bit.I could see monsters scurrying every where,I mean i've heard tales of them,but to see them up close was scary.We walked a bit further into the city till eventually we landed up in an ally way,there was a door at the end of it which Chopper opened and I followed.
It was a nice space,it was more like a clinic space.Chopper locked the door and took a seat in his doctors chair.I just sat on the bed,everything was so clean and organized,and this kid said he was ten,i'm impressed.Soul's ship was a disgusting mess,like no one cleaned for weeks.So this was a nice change,even if I was only with Soul for two days,my time there did scar me a bit,I mean i'd rather see Garp then Soul again.
"This isn't really my home,but you can stay here for the time being, i'll bring you food whenever I get the chance.I have this friend who is a great cook,I wish you could meet him,but he's a vampire so it probably wouldn't end well…."Duely noted,I don't want to find anymore trouble,and i'd rather stay undetected for awhile,so I don't want to draw attention to myself.
"We'll I have errands to run stay put,this place is crawling with monsters that have no problem hurting people."Good thing i'm not really a person,heck I hardly know what I am.I look like a normal person but i'm two completely different beings with royal blood. I have no idea what I am!But I just nodded as he left,now I didn't sleep the previous night so I decided to just go to bed.
3 days later
I woke up after a ten hour nap to Chopper opening the door,slightly panicking.He locked the door and started to walk back and forth talking to himself.
"Something spooked him."No duh Coarpse!
"Is something wrong Chopper?"He jumped probably forgetting I was there.
"Oh Luffy,sorry I forgot you where here."Like I thought.
"He's such a big airhead."Leave him alone.
"Is something going on?"I asked again,he looked down and sighed.
"King Laws right hand came back from his secret mission a few hours ago.He keeps tabs on all the citizens,he even knows of this place,i'm worried he'll find you."Now I wasn't expecting that,what do I do now,I can't go back to the beach,Soul's crew might still be around and might see me on the shore.
"Is there anywhere else for me to go?"I looked at Chopper and he just shook his head.
"I told you this is a monster country,where you are right now is the safest place to be."His expression was grim.
"What if I pretend to be a visiting relative?"
"Great idea and while you're at it pretend you have half a brain! That's not going to work you idiot!"Jerk.
"That won't work,as I said he keeps tab on ALL the citizens,and if someone were to visit we would have to report it to Shiliew.I'm sorry Luffy,we're both pretty much screwed here,i'm sorry you didn't wash ashore on a different island….."He looked like he was going to cry.
"Kids these days and their water works!"What are you trying to say you never cried as a kid?"No,im just saying I didn't cry as much as this!"
"Hey Chopper it's ok don't cry,"I soothed"I'll pretend to be a burglar that way you don't get in trouble."He looked up at me.
"But what about you,he'll kill you!"He was freaking out.
"He has a point Luffy,but as long as i'm alive you aren't dying."
"Hey shush,it's ok,i'll figure something out,for now I want you to leave this building,and if I hear the guy i'll start taking things,to make it seem like i'm stealing from you."He looked conflicted.
"Fine,just don't do anything dumb,if he tells you to do something just do it."His voice was starting to crack,and I felt bad for him.But this didn't bother me,I've been hunted down all my life,this is nothing new.I watched Chopper leave and listened for anything out of place,nothing,which means Chopper got away safely.
About three hours passed and I heard foot steps,this is it.I threw my hood over my head and started to shove things in a bag I found. The door was locked but i'm guessing this guy had a masters key. As the door opened and I looked at the dude,I froze,it was Marco! I completely forgot he was king Law right hand man!
"How did you forget something like that?Soul literally told you that not even a two days ago!"Im sorry I forgot!
"Who are you,you're not supposed to be here,stat your name and business."I was terrified,and pissed,this guy killed my friends,but I have to act as if I just got caught in a robbery.And Chopper told me to do everything he says,but I most certainly ain't telling him my name!
"I'm Raymore,I was robbing this place."He studied me for a moment,and I did the same back.He was wearing a completely different outfit then i'm used to.He was wearing an all black soldiers uniform with King Law's emblem.
"Well then your under arrest,take off the cloak."I backed away a bit not wanting to take the cloak off.
"I will not repeat myself,you have three seconds,1 2-"He stopped at two when I took the cloak off.He stared at me in shock,I just stared in anger.
Coarpse why did you make me do that?!"Because it's funny." No it's not!"For me it is."A*hole.
"Luffy? How are you alive?Soul should have killed you,and there is no way he would have missed you,you never left base so you would have been easy to find!Unless he kept you alive for some reason,there is no way to this island besides by boat,and flying isn't really an option.You would have been killed before you even got this far,which tells me Soul took you with him on his ship."Dang Marco is way to smart sometimes.
"So what are you going to kill me,since he didn't?!"I wasn't particularly scared to die,but I wasn't eager either.He looked at me unimpressed.
"Idiot I already told you with me you CANT DIE."So what because of you i'm practically immortal now,is that what you're saying?" YES YOU IDIOT!"
"I just said Soul kept you alive for a reason,he would have killed you otherwise.So no I won't kill you,not yet,I want to know why he didn't kill you.So you are coming with me."Did he actually believe i'd give up without a fight.I stood in a fighting position.
"Kid you really are an idiot.I can tell Soul took your power,it looks like he even got ride of all the junk on your face.And do you seriously think you can fight me?"He said calmly,then he was across the room in an instant,"who do you think taught you how to fight in the first place",and he punched me straight in the gut.I fell over his arm,and couldn't move,I felt him shift me over his shoulder and leave the building.But I didn't stay Conscious for long and passed out once you went through the doorway.
"Wow that was pathetic."Shut up.
