As much as I hated it i stripped,then put on the suit Law wanted me to wear,Doflamingo made It though,and I can't help but admire his craftsmanship,he's a better cook,but he's also really good at making fancy attire.I looked in the mirror,the suit was white with a long coat hanging off my shoulders,it also had i red cravat and a red rose.I thought it was a bit much,it was just to….fancy for my taste.
"That looks nice on you Luffy!"Viola said in an attempt to raise my spirits,it didn't work but I appreciated it nonetheless.
"Thanks Viola,but it's just not really something I like wearing….." I sighed and turned towards her and she walked up to me and straightened out my cravat.
"I know this is hard for you Luffy,none of us particularly like Law,but to go against him would be suicide,you know that."Viola did have a point,why do I always get stuck with insane individuals that I have no chance a beating?Even if I train for years they will still be stronger then me.A few moments later someone knocked on the door,and didn't bother waiting for an answer,so it wasn't a servent.
"Are you almost done with him Viola,his majesty is getting antsy." Marco,of course it had to be f*cking Marco,anyone would have been better then him.Does Law find it amusing to always send him to get me since we hate each other.
"Yes master Marco he is ready."Viola bowed to him,I always forget Marco is of a very high status.
"Then why isn't he already down in the ball room,we have five minutes before it starts!"Marco yelled,I looked at the clock and he's was right we took so long that there was only five minutes till the ball.
"Sorry master Marco,we just got finished before you entered." Viola was slightly panicking,but I can see why.
"Luffy!You tried postponing this didn't you!"He yelled as he aggressively grabbed the collar of my shirt.
"Let go,i'm sure Law would be pissed if he found out you touched something he sees as his."I don't belong to Law but I knew thats how Law saw it,and he would be mad if anyone touched his 'belongings'.Marco let go but shoved me a bit in the process.
"You're lucky,if Law didn't care about you i'd kill you right here right now."I knew he would,but I know he can't.He grabbed my wrist and dragged me out the door,Viola a few feet behind us.His grip surprisingly wasn't painful,it was just…..carful,like he was trying to leave no marks.I guess what I said earlier really got to him.
After walking a few minutes the ballroom came into view and Marco let go and just stood next to me,like a guard.Viola also stood close I could tell she was trying to comfort me,it was a sweet gesture,but an ultimately pointless one.If Law or Marco sees her being to friendly to me they might kill her,so I brushed her off,and I could see on her face that she understood why.
I saw Law a bit a ways from me scolding Zoro for getting lost, which was normal.But Zoro was right,Law didn't look like he was In a good mood,and there were more guards then I thought there would be,I estimated about five hundred.There were over a thousand,I could tell Law was being cautious,and I understand that completely,someone stole and idem that was sealed off by many barriers with ease,and it happened to be made of the only thing that can kill him.
I looked around,there were so many monsters,and the food….. well for me it wasn't edible,im no cannibal.Eventually I locked eyes with Law and he started walking towards me,he seemed aggressive, eventually he was right in front of me,he put his hands on my shoulders and his mouth was next to my ear.
"Did you steal that sword in the treasure room?"His voice was sweet but venomous.
"No,how could I,one i've been locked in my room all night, two if I was able to break that barrier I would of been able to remove the ring,which you've already seen that I can't."He sighed and stood up straight,he took my hand into his (eww)and led me to the other side of the ball room,where there was a huge banner with a strange symbol.
"What's that?"I pointed at the banner. Law looked up at it and smiled.
"It's my personal symbol,never seen it before?"Law replied a bit mockingly."No i've never seen it before,I wouldn't of asked other wise,but I was mainly asking why did you choose this symbol to begin with?" I was genuinely curious.
"Oh that's easy,it's like a momento,from the very first person I ever killed,my father Rosiante." I looked at him in horror,how could anyone do that?! Well I guess it is Law be isn't the most friendly of people,I can totally see him killing his dad.I looked down from the banner and grumbled a bit under my breath.Which Law apparently heard,if the painful hand squeeze wasn't an indicator.He the roughly dragged me to the high platform below the banner.
Every part of me told me something bad was about to happen but I didn't know what.I mean nothing about this is good by any means but whatever this feeling was,was telling me that it was going to be something big,starting with the disappearance of the sword. Who ever stole it was strong,and as of right now is very capable of killing Law,but who stole it?Is it someone in this room,or the castle itself,or was it an outsider,maybe a rebellious citizen? Are they good, are they bad,do they want to help me,or do they want to kill me. My mind was doing loops,and I couldn't land on a single conclusion.
That's when something occurred to me,Coarpse,I haven't heard him since yesterday,to test my theory I called out in my mind,I received no answer.What,but how? Coarpse is a part of me,there is no way that he became real and stole a sword and is planning on killing Law,that's just not possible,right?Now that I think about it Coarpse never really made sense to me,he's always mean to me yet he's very protective of me,he has this weird connection to Shanks,and for some reason he gives me every single power-
Wait,if Coarpse isn't here he would let me get hurt,I pinched myself to test my theory,nothing happened to stop me, no remark on my stupidity or my hand stopping without my want.Coarpse isn't with me!Where did he go,what is he going to do,how did this happen!
Law and me were now in the center of the platform,it was just me and him.The moment we got to the center,the whole crowd looked at us,some looked at me hungrily,others had looks of pity or sympathy.
"Welcome everyone to this years blood moon ball,now I know some of you don't know this but I'm getting married in a few days, to this little guy here!"He put his hand on my shoulder and I glared at him,everyone stared at me then they all cheered.Their cheers were like nails on a chalkboard,annoying.Eventually they all stopped and waited for Law to continue.
"As you all know I have a curse on me,which can only be broken my marrying into the other two royal family's,and this little guy just happens to have their blood running through him."I felt my blood run cold,every monster in the world attends this ball,which means even if I do escape somehow,i'll be hunted by not only Garp and his men,but Law and his,there was also still Shanks to worry about,this is bad,i'm becoming a worldwide target!
"If I marry him I can leave this island,and we can start our own utopia,we can make a garden of food so we'll never go hungry again,so give this little guy a huge cheer and let's celebrate!" Everyone started cheering and dancing,I however was mortified. He wants to make a garden for monster to eat all they want,well monsters eat any creature that isn't another monster,like mystics and hybrids.So every one would become their food,I have to stop this somehow!
Everyone went back to partying,Law and I were still on the stage with him having a strong grip on my left wrist.Something caught my interest though,there was a high pitch whistling sound coming from outside,just when I figured out what it was it hit the castle. It was a nuke,someone was attacking,normally a nuke would just destroy everything but monsters work differently and Law had put up many spells around the castle.
"Some one dares to attack me,men find out the culprits and kill them,they're probably here for Luffy.Marco secure the perimeter, Shiliew make sure no one broke into the castle,and Luffy you're coming with me."Law yanked me along with him,I had no idea where we were going but I didn't like it.He led me down a flight of stairs which led to a secret cellar,we got to the bottom and he opened up a heavy steel door,and he threw me inside.
"Sit tight in here for a bit,i'm not taking any chances with you,i'll come back when the enemy is delt with."With that he slammed the door shut,it was pitch black.There was no torches or windows,and when I patted the walls there was no light switch.It was cold,freezing even,and with Coarpse gone I couldn't regulate my body temperature,so I found a corner and curled up into it,hoping my body heat with heat up the wall and therefore keep me at least a little warm.
I was in this room for what felt like hours,who knows maybe it was,it was quiet,i'm not used to quiet,i've always had Coarpse to talk to,even if he wasn't the best company.
Then I heard the sound of quiet footsteps and whispering,it didn't sound like Law or Marco,but the voices were familiar.I heard the lock rattle then the sound of unlocking,the door slowly opened and there was a small amount of light that peaked through. It took a minute for my eyes to adjust but eventually I was able to make out the faces of Zoro,Doflamingo,and Viola.What are they doing down here i'm sure Law will be pissed once he finds out they're down here.
"What are you three doing here?"I asked bewildered,Doflamingo rolled his eyes.
"We're here to get you out of here,Chopper told King Newgate that a young boy was kidnapped by Law so they used a spy to figure out who it was."Zoro explained,I was still confused,why would Chopper tell King Newgate about something like that?
"I'm that spy,once I found out you're heritage I told king Newgate immediately,and correlated an attack." Another person spoke from behind them,it was someone who like a little older then me with a long nose and curly black hair.I was still shocked they could pull something like this.
"We must leave now,before King Law comes back."Viola spoke up, she's right there's no telling when he'll return or send someone to make sure it still here.I slowly stood up but I was so cold it was hard to do so.
"We need someone to carry Luffy,this room is to cold for a hybrid,you guys don't feel it because you're monsters."The spy spoke up.Doflamingo ran over to me put a cloak on me and lift me onto his back.Then we all started running up the stairs,I could still hear explosions above us,it took awhile but we got to the top of the stairs.
"Ok once we open this door all hell will break loose,evey monster in the country will be after us,and the main entrance is a no go they already blocked that off,so we have to take a different way out,though it's still risky,especially with Luffys body temp being so low,in fact we're going to have to find a way to warm him up before we take it,since it's a water way,hypothermia would kill him before we escape."The spy explained to the group,he was right though, if I went I into water with the state i'm in i'd die.
"I can make a fire with a lighter I have on me,we can use that to warm him up." Doflamingo suggested."That's a great idea Doflamingo ,let's just hope no one comes in here in the mean time."The spy said,Doflamingo then sat me down and set a stack of clothes on fire,it was slow but the heat from the clothes warmed me up and I was ready to go,I threw the hood over my head in hopes it might temporarily throw them off,the straw hat Soul jammed on my head was a bit of a pain but the hood was tight and made the rim of the hat bend to the shape of the hood.
We all then ran out the door,all of us had hoods on so it wasn't to easy to spot me.There went many monsters in the halls but there were a few,Doflamingo and Zoro fought them off,we stayed in lesser used halls,so there weren't many monsters in the way.It seemed that everything was going to go our way,that's until he showed up.
"And where exactly do you think you're taking the prince?"Marco, it just had to be f*cking Marco,at least it wasn't Law.
"What are you talking about isn't the prince hidden somewhere, why would he be here."Nice one Zoro,but Marco wasn't buying it.
"Luffys the only one here with a straw hat,you aren't fooling me Zoro,how dare you four betray his majesty,your lives end here." Marco then changed at us but Zoro drew a sword and blocked his attack.
"GO GET HIM OUT OF HERE,ILL HOLD HIM OFF!"Zoro yelled, Doflamingo was upset by this.
"ARE YOU NUTS HE'LL KILL YOU!"Doflamingo shouted obviously upset by Zoros decision,and I had to agree,i'm sick and tired of people I care about dying,I really don't want Zoro on that list of people.
"I'll be ok,we'll meet up later,JUST GO!"Viola grabbed Doflamingo's hand and the spy grabbed mine and we began running once more. Marco was to busy fighting Zoro he couldn't chase us,and eventually we were out of his line of sight.
We continued to run until we got to the water way entrance, Doflamingo went in first,I was second and then spy and Viola came down shortly after,luckily for me my feet still touched the bottom,so I don't have to worry about swimming yet,we went deeper in the tunnel until eventually there was a drop,my feet weren't touching the ground anymore and I was having trouble staying above water, Doflamingo must have noticed this.
"Luffy can you not swim?"Doflamigo asked a bit panicked.
"I can but i'm really bad at I-"I was cut off by sinking in the water a bit,someone lifted me up,it was Doflamingo.
"I'll swim with you,ok Usopp led the way."I finally got the spy's name.Something about his name reminded me of one of Shanks men,I think it was just because they have similar names,is probably just a coincidence.
We started swimming,it was easier to do with Doflamingo helping me out.I don't know why but water always made me a little weaker, I thought it was just Coarpse messing with me,but Coarpse isn't here, i'm really worried about what he's doing or what happened to him.I could still hear explosions and fights happening above us,which reminded me we weren't out of the castle yet,so we still weren't in the clear.
We got further into they water way and someone blocked our path,another one of Laws men we didn't want to face, Shiliew. I'm guessing Marco informed him of me escaping,I wouldn't be surprised if Law himself knew,or maybe they haven't told him yet.
"You guys aren't taking him anywhere,Doflamingo,Viola,and Usopp how dare you betray his majesty!"He drew his sword,this isn't good, how are we going to get around him while swimming.
"Viola,Usopp,Luffy hang onto me tight."Doflamingo whispered to us.
"What ever plan you have won't work,give it up!"Shillrew shouted, we all grabbed onto Doflamingo tightly like he said,and he dove under water and he was going really fast,that's when I noticed he wasn't swimming,he was stepping on the water and pushing himself forward which made us go faster.We successfully went under him,but Doflamingo didn't go up yet,probably to get some distance. After about twenty for seconds of being under water Doflamingo finally surfaced,and Shiliew was no where in sight.
None of us spoke,we just breathed as quietly as we could and continued to swim forward,a bit faster this time in case Shillrew caught up to us.There was finally light at the end of the tunnel,as we approached we heard nothing it was quiet,but it wasn't a chilling silence,it was a peaceful one,but I still didn't lower my guard. Anything can happen once we exit the tunnel,and I was fully prepared to fight this time.
