I woke up to the sounds of people screaming outside,I got out of bed,but I immediately fell to the floor.Turns out that while I was being tortured,they cut a muscle that's nesesary to walk,It was almost all the way healed,but I forgot about it and got up to fast. The sound of me falling woke Ace up,and he was immediately next to me trying to help me up,after I was up we both just stopped and listened. It seemed to be coming from the looby area right next to this room.
"I heard you guys took in a couple of young boys,are they in this room,if you tell me I won't kill you?"That voice was,familiar, but where have I heard it before.Ugh whatever,whoever it is Isn't friendly,so I went to one of the desks grabbed a piece of paper and started writing 'thank you for taking care of my injury's,me and my brother are leaving,also here's some gold to pay the medical fees'. I still cry gold even with Corpse gone,so i worked up a few tears and left several drops next to the paper.
Ace looked at me and then to the door,I shook my head and opened a portal,he seemed to understand,after all we've been in this dimension long enough,none of this was meant to happen, so we better leave before we mess it up further.
We jumped through and I closed it once we landed on solid ground.We seemed to be in the middle of some kind of town,but it was much bigger then what I was used to. There were buildings that went so high I couldn't see the top,there were also so many people me and Ace literally had to hold onto each other to not get separated.This world was just to different from ours,and everyone was looking at us funny,and I realized it was because of our clothes, this dimensions clothing style was completely different from ours.
"Ace how about we find a place to get some new clothes and then check out a library,so we can better blend in.I had to think fast with that portal and I was already tired,it could be weeks before I can open up another one."Ace nodded and we walked around the huge town,i over heard someone call it a city,I asked someone what city we were in and apparently we were in a city called New World City.
I was also able to find a huge clothing store,me and Ace ran around looking at all the cool clothes,but then something came to mind.
"Ace I don't think we can pay for any of this,this world's money is completely different then our own."Ace then looked down in thought.
"What was that you were paying with at the clinic?"Right he doesn't know about that.
"Oh that,I don't know why but once I hit 11 I started crying gold in my left eye and blood in my left,why?"Was he trying to tell me I should have paid with something else.
"Luffy this is perfect,just like in our world gold here is probably extremely valuable!" He's right,on our way here I heard a lady talk about her gold bracelet that was worth a lot of cash but where would we exchange it for money?
"Do you think this world has pawn shops or appraiseries?" We decided to leave the shop,then a map appeared on front of me though it seemed only I could see it,must be my powers then.
"Luffy what's up?"Ace saw my puzzled expression.
"A map of this world appeared in front of me,it looks like it has a search engine,oh cool I can search with my mind."I looked up pawn shops looks like there's one a few streets away from us,I pointed in the direction,and I marked this shop on the map.
It was farther then we thought it was,it was almost an hour away, Ace ended up carrying me,he said it wasn't a big deal since I was really light,and do to bring part dragon It felt more like carrying air. We finally got there,we were in luck the store was an hour away from closing.Before we went inside I grabbed a bag and put have of my face in it,carful not to suffocate myself.
It stopped crying and pulled away from the bag to see how much gold we had,to my shock the bad was full,and really heavy. Ace gave me a sad smile,I know he doesn't like me crying,but if it helps us,then it's ok.We entered the shop,and an old man was standing at the counter with a bored expression.
"Excuse me sir,we would like the exchange some gold for money." I spoke up.
"Gold you say,bring it over and I can tell you how much its worth,i will have to check if it's real though,to many scammers out there." I gave him the bag and he dumped it onto the counter,he looked shocked.
"How did you lads get hold of this much gold!"He seemed a bit shocked,he also had the face of doubt,so he probably thinks it's all fake,but he checked.I could see the shock on his face when he discovered it was all real.
"Well boy this is a lot of gold,i'm not going to ask how you got it since it's not my business,but I can give you 11,000 for this much gold."He still seemeded shocked at the amount of gold we had,maybe I over did it.I decided to search just how much 11,000 was,when I received my answer I was shocked,I really did over do it, just a few tears would of been fine.He gave us the money,when was kinda hard to carry,we left the shop and went to an empty ally way.
"Where are we going to put all this?"Ace seemed concerned.
"Take 8,000 of it and go in my wing and put it in a draw,that'll be the best way to do it."Ace did as I recommended,I had to be careful no one saw me pop a wing out,in fact I couldn't put it away while Ace was in there since he wasn't all the way in.I sat on the ground next to a wall,in an attempt to hide them best I could.
A few moments went by and Ace emerged from my wing,I quickly closed it once he was out,making sure no one saw us
"Let's go back to that clothes store,does your weird map tell us when it closes,or what time it is,because i've lost track."I did as Ace asked and checked when it closed,and the time.
"It's,10:30pm right now it closes at midnight,by the time we get there it'll be half an hour till closing,so how about we run a bit this time,so we have more time to look around."Ace nodded and we started running,luckily for us we are one- faster than regular people, and we have dragon lungs so we don't run out a breath easily.Not that I knew this until recently though,I had no clue I was part dragon,I only learned some of this because Usopp explained it to me,grandpa Garp didn't show signs of being a dragon, or a mystic at all,WHAT IS HE!
Me and Ace had to slow our pace a bit more then we would have liked to,but we can't let the people of this world to know we aren't humans,but it still took us half the time it originally took to get there,so we had an hour to shop.We entered the store again,it was a little less crowded then it was earlier so that was nice. Me and Ace looked around at the clothes they had, most of the male stuff they had were dress shirts and plain Tshirts.
"Luffy how long do you think it'll be until you can open up a portal again?"Ace questioned,I thought for a moment before answering.
"I'd say maybe a week,im not used to my powers yet,so best not to risk it."Ace nodded in understanding."Then we need to get more then just one set of clothes,and we need a place to sleep." I looked at him oddly,because I was confused.
"Why can't we just wear one set of clothes while we're here?" He looked at me like I was nuts,then he leaned in close to smell me which I found strange.He also gaged a bit which I found rather rude.
"L-Luffy when's the last time you changed your clothes or showered?"Odd question why does that matter.
"Umm,I changed my clothes about a month ago,and the last time I bathed was a couple weeks ago,why?"Ace didn't answer,instead he started grabbing a bunch of random shirts with logos and shorts,he also grabbed tennis shoes,which he gagged again when he took off my boots to measured my feet.I dont understand the gagging, is he sick?
Soon we we up at the check out,a bunch of people looked at us oddly,and others in disgust.What,do they think they're better then us,because they most certainly are not if they are that closed minded.By the time we payed and left the store I was mad,and quite literally stomping with my arms crossed while we walked.
"Whats everyone's deal,why are they looking at us like we're a bunch of weirdos!"I shouted in anger,I looked at Ace and he looked at the ground awkwardly.
"Umm,bro they were just looking at you…."Huh,why me and not him, and how does he know it was just me?I looked at him confused,and he looked like he felt a bit bad for me.
"Bro you smell AWFUL! Like a lake viper that died came back from the dead just to live in a trash hep thats on fire,and bathes in its own feces!"I looked at him dumbfounded.
"I SMELL THAT BAD?!"I shouted loud enough for everyone on the same street to hear me loud and clear.I got a few dirty looks,but hey I don't really care,i'm used to being looked at like i'm crazy.
"Sorry,I didn't really know how to tell you,anyway we need to find a place to sleep,are you able to look that up on your little map thing?" I really need to come up with a name for it,because little map thing just sounds stupid.Though I did look up places to sleep, what popped up was places called hotels and Inns,I selected one and I showed the price of 100 a night,apparently you have to book a reservation through.I remember Ace told me i'd have complete control over another dimension if I got better at using my powers.
After many failed attempts I finally was able to rewrite time and make it where we had a reservation for a room at a hotel not far from here.I told Ace of my success and we started heading that way. Once we got there the lady at the desk didn't look to happy to be working her job.
We got our room keys and went up the elevator to the fifth floor, we went in our room and we were amazed at how fancy it was, well it was fancy to us,the the people in this world it's probably mediocre.
"Ok first things first,Luffy go take a bath,i'll find us something to eat I promise i'm not going far,heck I don't even like the idea of you being out of my sight."I nodded in understanding,I didn't like the idea of him being out of sight either.
"I promise I won't be long,if anything happens scream red,call it a safe word."He looked at me smiled and nodded then I went into the bathroom hopping everything would turn out okay.
