Luffy
Me and Ace went to bed about an hour after we cried together, there was two beds,but we decided to sleep in the same bed,we didn't care if it was weird.We just couldn't bare to be apart.
I woke up in the morning to being completely sprawled out on top of Ace,I thought that position would be uncomfortable,but it wasn't,and I found that I slept better then I have in years. Even when I lived with the Revs I didn't sleep well do to Coarpse. He would often keep me awake with a migraine,he always would say evil never sleeps so neither should you.He's never been particularly nice to me,but it feels like a piece of me is missing with him not present,it's so quiet.Thought I guess I'm a way i'm happy he's gone, I mean if he were still with me I probably never would've ran into Teach,and therefore Ace.
I went to the living room, it wasn't very big,but it was cozy.I sat on the couch and stared at the clock,a habit I picked up on at Gōmon Shisetsu.I had nothing better to do,they didn't give me anything to waste time with,so I wasted time by watching time. An odd concept I know,but it's just something i've grown used to doing. After about 55 minutes(yes i've been counting) Ace was up and in the living room,he sat down on the couch next to me.
"Whatcha doing?"Ace asked,clearly confused on why I was just sitting on the couch staring at the clock.
"Watching time go by."I simply said,as there was nothing else to it.
"Isn't there anything else you'd rather do,like watch tv?"I looked at him confused.
"What's a tv?"Ive never heard the term tv before,Ace looked at me like I just kicked him in the nuts.He then pointed to the big black thing
"Tv is a slide show of pictures or rehearsed recordings of people, it's a source of entertainment."Ace explained as he grabbed s stick with buttons on it from the table in front of the couch.
"It would be easier to show you."He pointed at the tv and pressed a button,I jumped off the the couch in shock as something started to play on the tv and sounds were coming out of it.I watched it for a bit trying to understand what was happening,and I found myself engrossed with the story.I watched it for maybe an hour before it ended,as it turns out there's these things called adds that try to get you to buy stuff in between your 'movie' as Ace called it.After the movie was over Ace turned off the tv and I heard his stomach growl.
"Let's go get something to eat i'm starving."He got up and stretched,gone was his cowboy hat and normal attire, he was now in a gray t-shirt and blue jeans,with a pair of white sneakers.I was wearing was a white t-shirt,blue jeans,and black sneakers.It wasn't what we were used to but we needed to fit in.We started heading towards the door when I felt a sudden change in this world,and it was happening right behind us,I turned around since Ace didn't seem to notice and a portal appeared,strange,I know I didn't make this one.
I tapped Ace on the shoulder to get him to turn around,when I pointed at the portal he looked just as confused as me.Then suddenly someone jumped through it,they had blonde wavy hair, a blue top hat and tail coat with that looked to be gears for eyes, for some reason he looked familiar.
"Sabo!How did you manage to get here?!"Wait….Sabo? Wait,wait, as in our other brother Sabo?"
"A portal opened up in front of me a few days ago and I fell through it,but for some reason it took me to a really long hallway, when I got to the end there was a portal, I jumped through and here I am.As for Doll she'll be out of commission for awhile, she's not dead but nearly."I couldn't believe it both of my brothers are now with me,if this is a dream I never want to wake up!
"Anyway whos the kid you have with you,you know it's dangerous to talk to strangers?"Sabo asked Ace and pointed at me,I felt my heart break,of course he wouldn't recognize me,it's been nine years.The only reason Ace knew I was me was due to Teach.Doesn't mean it didn't hurt though,and I guess I let that hurt show as I started to cry,but not soon after I started crying I got angry.
"I see you haven't changed much,still as rude as ever."I spoke to him in an angry tone,then stormed off and locked myself in the bathroom.
Ace
"Whats his problem?"Sabo asked without seeming to actually care, which pissed me off,I mean sure I didn't recognize him at first either but he could have gone about asking that a little differently. Though Luffy did seem to overreact a bit,i'm going to guess it's from trama.
"Idiot,he just so happens to be the brother we've been looking for, for almost ten years!"Gone was Sabos cold exterior,he now looked like he was going to have a panic attack.
"Shit!"He had released his mistake and ran over to the bathroom door and knocked lightly.
"Luffy….. look i'm sorry I didn't realize it was you,please come out." It was odd behavior of Sabo to be so gentle.Luffy didn't respond but my the small barely audible footsteps I knew he was still in there. Sabo tried again but no avail,I tried and no answer,I was starting to get worried,but about ten minutes later Luffy finally opened the door.He looked at me and Sabo teary eyed.
"I'm not mad at you Sabo,i'm just happy to finally see you again, to have both you and Ace right in front of me,it feels like a dream. Also sure I was upset,but that's not why I ran off to the bathroom."Now i'm a bit confused.
"Then why did you run off to the bathroom and not answer us when we tried talking to you."Sabo sounded just as confused as I was.
"I had to pee really bad,and I didn't hear you guys do to the fan,it's also pretty sound proff in there."Luffy explained to us,and we both relaxed.
Luffy
It wasn't sound proff and there was no fan,I just couldn't find it in me to talk or move,it is true I had to pee though.Ace and Sabo both accepted my answer and didn't question me further.
"Where are we anyway?"Sabo suddenly asked,and I realized that Sabo had no clue what's going on.
"We are in another dimension,the portal you went through was one of mine that I made by accident,which makes me wonder how many others did I make,and did anyone else go through them?" It was more a question for myself,but I asked it aloud anyway.
"That is kinda worrisome,what if an enemy went through?" Ace spoke in a worried tone.To be honest I didn't even think about that,what if an enemy went through?
"If they did go through,it's possible they landed in a different dimension."I wondered aloud.If Garp,Law,Marco,or Soul went through it could mean trouble,and I can make another portal till my energy returns so till then we are stuck here..
"Let's hope thats the case,but another question,how are we getting home?"Sabo looked at me and asked.
"I would need to make a portal to get there,but i've made so many at once,it'll take awhile till i'm able to again.I also don't know how to navigate dimensions,so if I were to make a portal,it would just lead to a random dimension."Why are my powers always so complicated and confusing,I wish it were just simple.It was quiet for a few seconds,then I heard Aces stomach growl,which reminded me that before Sabo showed up we were going to eat.
"Let's go find something to eat first and then figure it out."I suggested,and I could tell by there faces that there were no objections.So I grabbed the hotel keys,Sabo changed into some clothes that Ace brought,and we headed out,once we were outside I could tell Sabo was amazed by how different this world was from ours.
"There are so many humans,you don't think they will attack us do you?"I stared at him dumbfounded.
"If they were going to attack us they'd of done so already,come on let's go i'm starving!"Ace then grabbed me and Sabo and started dragging us through the crowd,until he stopped at a sign that had pictures of what looked like a type of meat.We went inside and it was some kind of dining area,Some lady walked up to us.
"Three of you tonight?"I knew that none of us knew what that ment so I quickly looked up properly reply's.
"Yes."Sabo and Ace looked so lost.
"If you would follow me please."She led us to a booth table.and we sat down,Ace practically forced me to sit on the inside of the right seat while he sat next to me on the outside,and Sabo sat on the other side directly across from me.The lady then put the menus in front of us.
"What would you gentlemen like to drink?"That was the million dollar question,none of us know what any of the drinks even were, or tasted like.So I decided to get her suggestions.
"I don't know it's so hard to choose,what's good here?"She smiled.
"Personally I think the root beer and strawberry lemonade are really good."I guess that's what we'll go with.
"I'll take a root beer."Ace and Sabo said in sinc,I just giggled.
"I'll have a strawberry lemonade please."She wrote it down then walked away.All of us studied the menus,Sabo didn't look like he was having much problems,but Ace looked like he was constipated.
"Ace are you have trouble reading the menu?"Sabo asked in a knowing voice.Ace looked down and slowly nodded.Sabo then showed him his menu and they both just decided to get the same thing.I saw something call hot wings,with different levels of sauce. I decided that's what i'll get,i'll just pick the top sauce.The lady came back with a smile.
"Are you gentlemen ready to order?"We all nodded and Sabo spoke first.
"Can me and him get the chicken burrito wrap with fries."Sabo Odered his and Aces.She then looked at me,and smiled.
"And for you dear?"Dear?Whats that even mean?
"Umm,can I get the hot wings with hot buffalo sauce."She wrote it down and walked away.We all kinda just sat there for awhile waiting for our food,none of us knew what to say,besides we come from a different world,I highly doubt the topic of our own world would be considered appropriate in this dimension.
"Do you guys want to explore this city after we're done,I mean it's a pretty nice place."I suggested,I mean I wasn't to keen on spending all day sitting in our hotel room.
"Sure,but on one condition."Sabo gave me a serious expression, and Ace looked interested in what he was having to say.
"What's that?"I asked skeptically.
"Tell us everything,what happened when you went missing,what happened after,how long,and other expenses.In the simplest terms tell us what you've been through."I suppose I should of been expecting this question,but I don't know how to properly explain,should I just simplify it,or go in detail.Would they be able to handle the truth,will I even be able to get the words out without breaking down.I've been through some pretty traumatic shit. Though I guess,it would be better to tell them,besides we've been apart for so long,I barely know them and vice versa.
"Ok,i'll tell you before we go to bed,it's a very exhausting topic,and please if it seems I can't continue anymore don't force me,i'll tell you at a later date."My words came out shakily,and I wasn't quite breathing right,I felt dizzy.How was I even going to get a word out tonight?It seems Sabo accepted my answer,with the way his shoulder relaxed and expression softened.
"Sorry for the wait,here is your food gentlemen."I didn't even notice the waitress was there until she said something,she actually kinda scared me.She sat out food on the table and we started eating.My food actually tasted pretty good,i'm glad it's a sense I still have,but for some reason it felt like I was choking after about the second wing.Ace and Sabo both noticed and stopped eating for a second.
"Luffy are you alright?"I didn't answer and just grabbed my lemonade and took a drink.
cough cough *
"Yeah i'm ok *cough* I don't know why I started choking."I took another bit out of another wing and immediately started choking again.Ace put his hand on my back and rubbed a bit.
"Luffy can I try one of your wings real quick,I want to check something."Why would Ace want to try one of my wings?I nodded and he took a bit out of one and paused.
"Trade me plates Luffy."He didn't even ask,he just told me to do it.
"What why?I actually like my wings."Ace shook his head.
"Luffy these are spicy,I can handle them,but it's clear you can't,you're face it really red,and you're eyes are puffy,and you keep choking."I didn't even realize my eyes were watering.
"What is spicy?"Sabo looked at me in shock,but Ace understood.
"Spicy,means a hot kind of food that leaves a burning sensation,the spicier the hotter,not a lot of people can even handle eating spicy things,and some have such a low tolerance they can pass out from the pain alone."I've never even heard of such a thing,but if it's a type of pain no wonder I didn't notice. I pushed my plate towards Ace and he did the same with his.
"Luffy how did you no notice it was hurting you."That's right,Sabo doesn't know yet.
"I already told,Ace so it would be unfair to tell you,I don't have any pain receptors,i'll get into that later tonight,I didn't even tell Ace all the details regarding that."Ace look a bit shocked,I mean I told him a small part of what happened,but not all of it,he must have thought I told him a lot.Sabo seemed to understand and didn't push any further.We got done eating,paid our bill,and left.
We held onto each other as we made our way around other people and busy traffic,as some people keep calling it,I still don't know what those boxes on wheels are called.Eventually we found ourselves in a big building,the sign said 'New World Mall' it was huge there were so many small stores in here,but most of them sold clothes,books,jewelry,makeup,and stuff like that.There we're also a few restaurants,but no grocery stores.
"If we buy anything it has to be able to come with us,don't leave anything in this dimension,that goes for the money too Luffy."Sabo looked at me with a serious expression.
"Don't worry,I can store stuff in my wings,so whatever we get we can just put in there,after all look at all this stuff,it looks so cool!." Sabo just sighed,basically saying he admits defeat.
"Come on,book store!"Ace looked like he was going to cry,while Sabo looked quite happy.We went in the book store and looked at quite a few books,admittedly I grabbed like 34 books,Sabo told me I was only allowed 10 as anything over that was to much. I was upset and threw a slight fit but complied and put the other 24 books back.Sabo grabbed only 3 books,and the only thing Ace grabbed was a glow in the dark bouncy ball.Sabo rolled his eyes at this and I just laughed.We explored several parts of the mall,we looked at clothing lines and even did a small fashion show,though we did get some odd looks.We also went into a store that had swords and various blades,we didn't buy anything there but just looked around.
There was also a slushy shop,and I got a slushy from there,but I got something called brain freeze from,apparently it's one of the few pains I can feel. I gave the rest to Ace,and I pouted for a bit,I mean how can something taste so good but hurt so bad.I guess i'm learning a lot about pain food can cause today,I didn't even know food could cause pain.Ace then brought me something called a pretzel,At first I was skeptical,after all two food hurt me so far,but I took it anyway and tried it,it tasted really good and it didn't hurt so I deemed it safe and ate the whole thing.
At some point we went to a small shop that had a bunch of electronics,and for some reason Ace and Sabo started to agure about a game called call of duty as they called it.I'm guessing this is stuff that we have in our world that I just haven't seen before. Apparently It's some kind of competition that Sabo supposedly cheated at.For some reason watching them fight made me feel warm inside,like everything was right in the world.I finally felt at home,I thought the revolutionaries gave me a home,but this is different.I wanted to protect my brothers from anything that could harm them,they are all i've got left now.
