Abhijeet nodded and HQ people left. Team stood there saying nothing. Daya came forward put his hand on Abhijeet's shoulder and asked him –

Kuch khayoge?

Abhijeet (sarcastic tone) – Kha toh liya!

Daya (ignored that) – Abhijeet!

Abhijeet (dry tone) – Abhi waqt nhi h Daya… bhut kuch sametna abhi bhi baaki h… tum log Dr. Salunkhe ko dekh lo aur ghar le jayo.

Daya (in hurry) – Tum chlo mere sath 2 minute ke liye… (To team) tum log Salunkhe sir ke paas jao… main aata hun.

Team nodded and Daya almost dragged Abhijeet with him. He took him to the canteen and quickly ordered a 2 coffee and a sandwich. He forwarded it towards Abhijeet silently and hmself started sipping his coffee. Abhijeet ate his sandwich and drank his coffee. He was really hungry. He didn't eat since 2 days. He knew arguing would only waste time. Further they both didn't have the energy for an argument over food. After eating all he said –

Kll Sunday h aur maine aaj ki chutti ki request ki h sbke liye… Tum log ghar chle jao aur Monday ko bureau aana. Koi case report hua toh Special team handle kr legi. Monday ko sb log 11 bje tkk bureau aa skte h.

Daya nodded. After that Abhijeet left to complete the formalities of the mission while Daya left for Salunkhe's cabin. He entered inside the cabin only to find everyone weeping. Seeing him Salunkhe said –

Mil aaye apne dost se. Jao Daya tum usi ke paas jao… hum dekh lenge apna.

Daya knew saying anything will be fruitless for now. And taking Abhijeet's name will only worsen the matter. So he said in a soft tone –

Sir… main Abhijeet se milne nhi gaya tha… main toh DIG sir ke saath tha… unhone sbki 2 din ki chutti approve krdi h… sb log Monday 11 bje tkk bureau report krenge. Koi pressure nhi h kaam ka. (with teary tone) Aur sir Acp sir mere liye mere pita se km nhi the… aapki tareh.

Listening this Salunkhe's facial expressions softened. Daya came forward and hugged him tightly. They shed their tears on each other's shoulders. Abhijeet was seeing all this from glass door but didn't come inside. He felt a little relieved seeing Salunkhe with Daya. He left from there immidiately while wiping his tears. Daya seperated from the hug and said –

Main Dr. Ashutosh se discharge ki baat krke aata hun.

Salunkhe nodded and Daya left. He reached Dr. Ashutosh's cabin knocked a little and entered inside. Dr. was sitting there with very serious face. Daya knew this. Ignoring all that, he sat on the chair present there and said –

Voh Dr. Salunkhe ka discharge…

Ashutosh (serious tone) – Han le jayo unhe yahan se… ye na ho k unke rehte yahan fr se koi tamasha ho jaye aur kisi ka mazaak bn jaye.

Daya – Ashutosh… Dr. Salunkhe bhut takleef mein…(interuppted)

Ashutosh (angry tone) – Aur Abhijeet! Uski takleef…ek mazaak. Voh yahan maze se nhi baitha h.

Daya – Ashutosh main sb smjhta hun…(again interuppted)

Ashutosh (same tone) – Tum kuch nhi smjhte Daya… Dr. Salunkhe ne usee bhre hospital ke saamne thapad mara h… uska collar pkda h… apne dukh ki aad mein kisi ko humiliate krna galat h… Aur mere dost ko humiliate krna main kbhi bardasht nhi krunga. Unhe usee thapad nhi marna chahiye tha Daya.

Tum is CID team ko pariwaar kehte ho na… Ye hota h pariwaar. Sbke saamne usee beizzat kiya aur(chewing tone) tumhare pariwaar ke kisi bhi member ne aage aane tkk ki himmat nhi ki. Mera dost koi khilona nhi h Daya jise jisne jb chaha use kr liya aur fenk diya. Jaante bhi ho jb voh yahan aaya tha sbko lekr uski kya haalat thi. Shukr mnao ki uski dhadkane band nhi hui us waqt. Tumhare pariwaar wale jb ji chahe uska mazaak bna dete h… use humiliate krte h aur phir jb voh yahan se jaana chahta toh usee jaane bhi nhi dete… Na jeene dete h na jaane dete h…(interuppted)

Ashutosh stop!

Ashutosh and Daya looked from where the voice came and found Abhijeet standing there on the cabin door. Ashutosh stood up and said –

Mujhe chup krane se sach nhi badal jayega.

Abhijeet (serious tone) – janta hun… lekin jise suna rhe ho voh galat h… Daya mere saath khada h Ashutosh. Thodi der pehle mujhe khana khilane le gya tha… ye jante hue bhi k Salunkhe sir pr is baat ka kya asar hoga… iski koi galti nhi h Ashutosh. Aur vaise bhi ye waqt saath khade reh kr hmare badon ko sahara dene ka h. Dr. Salunkhe ko smbhalna ab hmari zimmedari h… Bhool jao jo bhi hua.

Main baad mein milta hun… abhi mujhe kaam h.

Saying so he left. Ashutosh signed the discharge papers silently and handed over to Daya. Daya left the cabin and later left the hospital with team and Salunkhe after giving a last supportive glance to his buddy who was standing far away with an officer and discussing something very serious. Team came back home with crying faces. While Abhijeet was just moving from hospital to bureau to HQ. He completed the case files of the mission, did all the necessary paperwork and arranged gaurds for officers rescued.

Next day

Salunkhe went to Acp's house. He went inside started watching photos of him with Acp. He sat there on the couch and cried. He was remembering the times when they chatted there for hours, had foods together, had so many fights hugs smiles laughter and what not.

Kyu chle gye tum Pradyuman! Kyu!

He was crying but stopped feeling a soft touch on his shoulder. Looking up he saw Daya standing there with a teary face. He asked him –

Daya… tum yahan?

Daya (teary voice) – Han sir. Bs pta nhi main apne aap ko rok hi nhi paya yahan aane se. Jaise mere kadam hi kheech laye mujhe yahan.

Salunkhe – Baitho yahan… Main chai bnata hun aaj. Pradyuman toh nhi h ab yahan…(stopped with a lump in his throat)

Slowly the whole team gathered there without knowing about each other's plans of coming there except Abhijeet. He was still busy with so much work. He had to handle media people as well which was more than a headache for him. He still didn't get time to express his grief. He returned home very late with a terrible headache. He took a medicine and slept on the couch itself waiting for next stressful day.

Next Day

Team started arriving bureau one by one and started their working. No one was talking about anything. Abhijeet too came there. Team members were looking very tired and not interested to work but on the other hand Abhijeet looked quite fresh today. This was surprising for Daya as he was expecting a tired Abhijeet. His face expressions were normal. Daya knew Abhijeet returned home very late. After sometime, HQ people arrived there. Abhijeet informed the team as –

Main conference room mein hu. Ek meeting ke liye. Koi case aaye toh Daya tum handle kr lena jb tk main meeting mein hun.… aur meeting se free hone ke baad main dekhunga. Aur hum logon ko koi disturbance nhi chaahiye.

Saying so he went inside the conference room with HQ people. Daya knew there would be lot of meetings now which Abhijeet would handle as acting head. Soon a case was reported and Team started working on it. After 4 hours the meeting was finished and HQ people came out with Abhijeet and left the building after giving a glance at bureau. Abhijeet returned back and took the update on the case and started working on it immidiately. He assigned team works regarding the case. He asked Daya to come along to the forensic lab. Entering the lab, Salunkhe gave him a disgusting glance, which he ignored and asked a few questions. After that he himself went to the crime scene. Though Daya knew Abhijeet was keeping himself busy but his this normal attitude was bothering him. He knew Abhijeet was feeling really guilty for behaving badly with Acp sir that day. He is ashamed of his behavior now. He remembered the day when all this started.
