Exploring with New Girl for a Favor
"By the way, isn't that new helper supposed to be with us right now?" Welf said after he cuts down one ogre with his sword.
"Oh yeah, now that you mention it. Where did that scaredy little cutie go?" Risty wondered as she looks around. And noticing there aren't any more Ogres coming at them for the moment.
"I know she was right behind us. Don't tell me she suddenly got lost on our way here." Lili sighed as she knew this would happen.
"No wait, I think I see her coming towards us now!" Leina pointed in the direction of the entrance and saw someone coming towards them.
"Oh good, I was starting to get worried." Bell sighed in relief.
"Hey! What's the big idea of suddenly falling behind like that when you were clearly close and behind us until now?" Lili asked the new girl.
"I'm very sorry! I got distracted by some pretty gems on the walls and then I thought I saw something scary in the walls and hid for a while only to realize I lost track of you guys and hurry on over here." The new girl explained.
"Well, the important thing is that you're safe now, Mirim and we are grateful for that." Leina said.
"Yeah, just try to stay close to us make time and just look around the scenery while walking with us at the same time, but not too much or else you'll trip and such." Risty advised.
"Okay, I promise to do my best!" Mirim promised a little strongly.
Mirim is a young woman with viridian hair tied in a braid style and reaches down her hips and blue eyes. Mirim wears an armor that is similar to the one Leina used to wear when she first met Cattleya and left it to her for some repairs, except this one is red for the color scheme and had a pink-red transparent skirt for her legs level. Breasts sizes: E-cup.
"Well, she got the high spirit for one." Risty chuckled.
"Remind me again why we're taking a farm girl into the Dungeon with us?" Lili asked with a deadpan expression.
"Because the three of us promised Cattleya that we help her out with testing the armor and help give Mirim some experience in fighting monsters that are outside the city." Welf answered.
"That was certainly out of the blue like that." Bell commented.
(Yesterday)
"Hold on, before you go off to get ready for the Dungeon. There is a little favor I would like to ask you three to help me with." Cattleya clapped her hands.
"A favor?" Bell surprised.
"This is unexpected coming from you. Is there something you're having trouble with?" Welf asked.
"Yes, you see, there's a client who wishes to have an armor that can protect her from all threats that comes her way. To be specific, she wants an armor that can create a forcefield for that protection which is something I've been having some difficulties making it." Cattleya explained.
"Wow, this client must really want to keep himself safe from any danger in the Dungeon." Welf said.
"Actually, the client is a farmgirl who lives outside the city." Cattleya revealed.
"Are you for real?! She's not an adventurer?!" Welf gasped as Leina and Bell are surprised as well.
"No, but she does admire Adventurers a lot that she wishes to at least spend one day being one and going down the Dungeon for the experience." Cattleya explained about the girl.
"So, what do you want us to do with her?" Leina asked.
"Well, I finish making the armor though I'm not really sure if it will work fully as it should, and I'm worried about sending her with some group that may not treat her well." Cattleya concerned.
"I see, so you want to put her with us since we are the more trustful people to know you." Leina guessed where the mother blacksmith is getting at.
"Exactly, I'm glad you caught up on that." Cattleya nodded.
"I also thought it would be good for Mirim to make some new friends such as you guys." Cattleya added.
"Well, we can definitely help with that." Bell smiled.
"Yes, we will be sure to give Mirim a good experience of exploring the Dungeon with us and protect her with our lives if we must!" Leina determined.
"Thank you, and hopefully the armor I made will help though I don't expect it to last long since I just met it." Cattleya said.
"I'm sure it'll last; this is you we're talking about!" Welf believed.
"So, how do we meet Mirim?" Bell asked.
"You guys usually go in the morning for Dungeon exploring, right? I'll meet you right at the entrance of the Dungeon along with Mirim so you can all meet her." Cattleya planned.
"That's fine with us, I'm sure Risty and Lili wouldn't mind having some a few extra people tagging along with us." Leina proclaimed.
"Wonderful! I'll let her know about the arrangement right away!" Cattleya smiled.
"Well, we better get ready for our trip too." Bell said at Leina who nods.
The three leaves the blacksmith shop with the two Adventurers of the Hestia Familia said their goodbyes to Welf until tomorrow as they leave to return home.
"Do you think Mirim will get along with us?" Bell wondered.
"I'm sure she would be thrilled with Adventurers like us. Cattleya did say she admires them." Leina pointed out.
"That's true, but I'm a bit worried about bringing a farmgirl with us to the Dungeon." Bell said.
"Then we'll just have to work twice as hard to protect her." Leina stated with a smile.
"Yeah, I guess you're right!" Bell nodded with his own smile.
(The Next Day)
"You got to be kidding me…?" Lili glared at Bell and Leina for making such a decision without talking to the rest of the Familia first.
"Sorry, we wanted to be a surprise and hope you guys don't mind that we help Cattleya out." Leina apologized.
"Just as long as the girl doesn't get in our way, then I'm sure we can get along." Risty said.
"Hey, we're here!" Welf called out getting the group's attention to him and Cattleya walking with Mirim.
"Look, that girl with them must be Mirim." Bell noticed the new face with them.
"You better not make us regret this, Master Bell." Lili warned.
(Present)
"So, how have you been experiencing the Dungeon so far?" Leina asked Mirim.
"Well, it's scary with how dark areas can be, but it's still amazing that we have gotten down so much and there are still dozens more to go!" Mirim answered with a smile.
"Yeah, I was surprised about how deep this Dungeon can be as well." Leina nodded.
"Although you could have at least let her be in the action instead of just keeping her on the sidelines through every monster as come across." Risty pointed out.
"She's right, weren't you supposed to help Cattleya test out the armor?" Lili asked.
"Sorry, guess I gotten a little worried for Mirim since she's not into being an Adventurer." Leina chuckled blushing a bit.
"That's okay, I'm also glad to meet the two famous rookies I've been hearing about at my family's farm." Mirim amazed.
"Oh, are we really that famous?" Leina asked.
Suddenly an ogre came popping out from the ground and charge at Leina to attack with the intent for kill, Mirim spotted the skinny and scary monster becoming scared herself, but her body moves on instinct pushing Leina out of the way to take the attack.
"Mirim!" Bell gasped as the others are shocked as well.
But when the skinny ogre seems like it's about to tackle the girl down to the ground, a red forcefield appear stopping the ogre and sending it back like it was pushed by a mighty force.
"Whoa, did that really just happen?" Risty asked shock.
"I think it did." Lili said.
"Wow, so that was the forcefield I asked for!" Mirim surprised.
However, the ogre got back up trying to attack the girl again along with two others coming back jumping at Mirim at the same time, all three tackle the forcefield and were push back only she also got push back by two feet.
"I got you!" Leina jumped in and destroyed them with one swing at the same time.
"Are you okay?" Leina asked, checking to see Mirim is hurt anywhere.
"I'm fine, scared when those ogres suddenly came out, but I'm fine." Mirim answered with her legs shaking a little.
"Man, Cattleya did a wonder including that forcefield magic! She must've used a special magic stone to put that in the armor." Welf inspected the armor.
"Be careful or you might be mistaken for a pervert looking for a taste of sweet little girl." Risty teased.
"Hey! I am not like that!" Welf yelled with his face red.
Bell laughs at the scene until another monster came out as it rolls its way to the Hestia party, and he reacted quick to fire a Firebolt which easily took out the rolling monster in one shot.
"Bell, I didn't know your magic had become that strong!" Leina surprised.
"Me either!" Bell surprised of his own strength too, thinking that he may have gotten stronger too.
"So, do the monsters really become these crystals whenever you defeat one?" Mirim asked picking up one stone.
"That's right, we trade them in at the guild for the money depending on how many you have, and the size is important too. It's important to gather as many as possible so you'll be good for a while on your living days." Lili explained as she has Mirim got the magic stone in her bag.
"Well, look at you, giving a lesson to the new kid." Leina giggled.
"I'm only doing that so she can be prepared if she decides to come explore the Dungeon again." Lili stated.
"So, being in a Party sure is a blast, huh?" Welf asked Bell.
"Sure is, I'm also learning that the group's behavior changes if you have more people." Bell said.
"Exactly, glad to see you're learning fast." Welf commented.
"Hey look, another Party group just arrived." Risty informed.
"Guess we should get going." Leina said, but she saw something odd sparkling from Bell's right hand.
"Bell, why is your hand glowing like that?" Leina asked.
"Huh? I don't know." Bell puzzled of this.
Suddenly they heard screaming that got most of the Hestia Party group to turn seeing another Party running for their lives, and that did not mean well for them.
"What's going on?" Leina asked.
"Run! It's a dragon!" One Adventurer screamed past Bell's group.
"A dragon? That's not good." Welf worried.
"Wait, where are Lili and Mirim?" Bell asked looking around.
The good news is that those two are still close by, the bad news is that the dragon is close to and right in front of the girls after it had smacked away one Adventurer with its tail.
"AAAAAHH?! It's huge and scary?!" Mirim screamed.
"Come on, we got to get out of here!" Lili grabbed Mirim's hand, and they start running.
However, they only gotten away about twenty-five feet as Lili trips causing her to let go of Mirim's hand.
"Lili!" Mirim gasped and saw the dragon closing in on them.
"N-N… No! I won't let you hurt her!" Mirim yelled standing her ground with her arms apart, trying to protect Lili from the dragon.
"Don't be stupid! That dragon is very strong, I don't think even your armor's forcefield will hold it back!" Lili stated knowing how strong these dragons are.
The dragon launches down its head to attack the girl only to be suddenly stop by the forcefield which Mirim hopes it will push the dragon back like it did with the ogres, but she soon learn the hard way that the dragon is way stronger than those little monsters as it only took seven seconds to break through and sending Mirim crashing onto Lili along with the armor breaking.
"Shit! You're gonna get eaten!" Risty tried to make her way to them, but Bell was already charging in and holding out his sparkling right hand.
"Firebolt!" Bell shouted firing his magic blast, which was a lot more powerful than his normal ones that it destroyed the dragon in one shot.
Everyone is shocked of how Bell just easily destroyed the dragon in one blast almost like he's super charged with the power, even Bell is completely surprised by this, and he has no idea on how that could even happen as he looks at his hand.
"Bell, I think we're gonna need to check in with Goddess Hestia about this." Leina said.
"I think you're right." Bell nodded, but then just remember about the girls.
"Lili, Mirim, are you two alright?" Bell asked.
"Huh, yeah, I think so?" Mirim groaned.
"What were you thinking standing there like that. You could've died, you know?" Lili scolded the new girl.
"I know, but I just didn't want to see one of my precious new friends to die." Mirim smiled making Lili blush from this.
"Well, I'm glad you two are… are… are—AAAAAAAAHHH?!" Bell screamed with his face turning completely bright red and steaming.
"M-M-Mirim… Your armor is… You're exposed!" Bell informed while trying to cover his eyes of seeing Mirim's almost naked body.
Mirim was confused at first until she looks down seeing her breasts out in the open and her armor is almost destroyed with the rest of her body being seen, she blushes redder than a tomato and screams while trying to cover herself with her arms.
"What happened? Where did the armor go?" Mirim asked, feeling embarrassed.
"Must've broke when the dragon tried to bite you." Welf guessed, meaning they'll have to report this to Cattleya once they get back to the surface.
"Hey, don't look at her!" Lili yelled aiming her armband crossbow at Welf.
"I'm not looking! I'm not looking!" Welf promised as he quickly turns around.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to see you when you're… you're… I'm so sorry!" Bell apologized and slammed his forehead right onto the ground.
"Okay, I think it's time we call it a day and head back up." Leina suggested.
(Hestia Church Home)
"What? Bell unlocked a new skill?" Risty asked shock as everyone is eating their dinner.
"Yep, that right there was his Argonaut skill. It gives him the opportunity to turn the tables." Hestia nodded as she looks at Bell's skill chart.
"Amazing, to think that skill would help Bell to one shot a dragon!" Melpha amazed.
"You could also call it a shortcut to being at your strongest for a moment, like when you want to be a hero." Hestia said.
"I'm not sure if shortcut is the right word." Lili said before eating her sandwich.
"Just know that whenever you find yourself when the odds are all stack against you, you can still be able to win with the small bit of power you have left. That's what we like to call a Hero shot!" Hestia explained with a smile.
"A hero shot that does fit perfectly with Bell!" Leina believed and Hestia agrees.
"Hey Goddess Hestia, did you by any chance heard about this Welf Crozzo guy and his family?" Risty asked.
"Well, I know about the Crozzo family used to make magic weapons, but that's all I really know about them. Welf Crozzo in particular, they did tell something about the shop. Apparently, he can make magic swords too." Hesita informed shocking her children.
"But I thought the whole family lost their talent to make magic weapons?" Leina puzzled.
"It seems he's the only one who still has it, I guess, and I never heard the weapons he makes are like ridiculously super powerful. The rest of his Familia also refers to him as the Unuse Treasure." Hestia mentioned.
"The Unuse Treasure? Why give him a nickname like that if he has the power and skills to make magic swords?" Lili asked.
"Because the dummy never actually makes them. I'm sure he could easily have all the fame and riches he could ever wanted if he made a few, but for some reason, he refuses." Hestia explained.
"So, we made a contact with someone who has incredible talent but refuses to use any of that." Leina said, feeling a bit sad for Welf.
"It seems like he has a personal reason to not wanting to make magic swords." Melpha guessed.
Bell looks up at the ceiling as his mind wonders why Welf doesn't use his talent and just makes normal strong swords.
