Eddy, Takashi, and Kohta were looking outside of the balcony. Eddy and Takashi were just enjoying the night sky while Kohta acted as spotter/sniper for any hostiles.

"Bad news, guys." Kohta suddenly said, snapping Eddy and Takashi out of their daydreaming as they turned to see him handing binoculars to them, Takashi taking them and scanning the area.

Approaching from all directions was a loose horde of zombies. Takashi quickly turned around to call for someone, but Saeko was already there watching with her own binoculars. They looked into each other's eyes and she nodded before leaving to turn off the lights in the house.

"Why's she turning the lights off?" Eddy asked.

Takashi offered him the binoculars. "See for yourself."

Eddy scanned around a bit, and I could tell when he'd seen what Takashi meant. Random survivors were going up to houses that had the lights on and were begging for shelter, yelling and screaming in some cases.

Those that were refused were soon made into dinner from the noise they were making which was only slightly better than the ones who were let inside. They had drawn the dead too, and once the door was opened the zombies made to follow so the whole house was soon lost.

On top of that, a few crazies were running around with guns blazing, quickly becoming overwhelmed because of the dead attracted to the noise they were making.

"Jesus, this is bad..." Eddy frowned.

"It's tribalism, Pipsqueak," Matthew said, walking up beside his little brother. "Keep your group at a sufficient size to ensure proper resources are available to you. Start adding more people and the resources don't spread as far and danger is invited. Best to keep your group as small as possible.

"McGee-Sensei is right, we're barely holding it together with the few dozen we have now. Start letting in everyone and before you know it, we're the ones being pushed out so that the ones we helped can take what they want: food, guns, the girls." Kohta pointed out.

Takashi grimaced "I don't want to let them die, but we have to think about what is best for our group...still, we at least have to do something as decent human beings!"

"Maybe we can…" Kohta muttered.

"Whatcha got?" Eddy asked.

"Look towards the river one street to the right." Kohta gestured as Eddy looked with the binoculars.

"Okay."

"See the police car with the dead officer in the driver's seat?"

"Yup."

"Car seems intact. What do you think the chances are that the driver still has the keys?"

Eddy grinned deviously as he got what Kohta was saying. There was even a small fishing pier thirty yards away from it that he figured was just wide enough and more than strong enough to hold the car.

"I'll take those odds. Tak, I'm gonna go provide some community service, you in?"

Takashi cocked his shotgun. "You know it. What's the plan?"

We're going to give the dead something to go after."

"I shall come as well. You could use some close-quarters skills." Saeko said, stepping up.

Matthew ruffled Eddy's head. "Can't have you messing things up, Pipsqueak. I'm going along for the ride as well."

"I'll keep watch over everyone," Ben said. "Besides, you guys need your time to shine."

"Thanks, buddy!" Eddy smirked.

Shizuka was asked to move the bus so the team going out would bring the Humvee to play. Everyone topped off their ammo and was about to head out when they heard shots from the balcony.

We were about to leave when we heard shots from the balcony.

"Hirano! Report!" Takashi called out.

"Civilians in trouble down the street! There's a little girl. I couldn't just let them die."

Eddy and Takashi climbed up the Humvee and immediately saw what he did. A little girl could be seen through the open gate crying over the body of what I assumed was her father. A little puppy had arrived to protect her and was barking at some approaching zombies, but that wasn't what surprised them.

No, what surprised them was a teen jumping into the fray and hacking the zombies that were getting too close with a hatchet in his hand. Eddy's eyes widened as he easily recognized who the young man was.

"ROLF?!"

The boy's hair was navy blue and long in the back while the front only covered his forehead. His body was similar to Ed's but only more built and slightly taller. He also wore the school uniform from Fujimi Academy except the sleeves of his jacket were ripped while blood covered most of his clothes.

"Hey, isn't that the weird foreign kid who's friends with you that recently transferred a few months ago?" Takashi asked.

"GET THAT GATE OPEN NOW!" Matthew called out as he jumped into the Humvee's driver seat, Saeko taking shotgun while Takashi and Eddy hung on the gunner's port.

A few of the others hurried to open the gate and Matthew grinned as he pulled the clutch into Drive.

"ROCK AND ROLL!"

After power sliding onto the road, the squad gunned it for the girl and Rolf's location. There were too many zombies on the road to avoid so they didn't bother, running down any in their way.

"WHOOO-HOOOOO!" Eddy cheered as he held on tight.

The trip down the road was short and Saeko and Takashi jumped out to beat down nearby zombies and grab the little girl. Eddy jumped out with his new Boomstick and joined Rolf and the little puppy's side.

"Ah! Greedy Ed-Boy! Rolf is pleased to see you again!"

"Same to you, Stretch! How did you even get here?!" Eddy laughed as he stabbed a zombie with the pitchfork part before firing the shotgun part, blowing it in half.

"Rolf shall answer questions later! For right now, let us purge the undead menace from our sights!"

Matthew quickly moved over to check on the little girl, who was crying over the body of what he could only assume was her dad.

"Hey squirt, we gotta go!"

"But my daddy! We can't leave him!" She cried.

Matthew looked over her dad as Eddy, Rolf, Saeko, and Takashi held off the horde with some sniper assistance from Kohta back on the balcony. Takashi's new Ithica 37 Riot Shotgun worked wonders as the spreading buckshot took out multiple zombies with each pull of the trigger.

"Luckily, this wound isn't fatal," Matthew noted. "But he's gonna bleed out real fast if we don't get him to Shizuka."

Matthew quickly got to work, grabbing a shirt and a pair of leggings from a nearby drying line, and tying a rough patch over the wound.

"Come on, we're getting you out of here."

Matthew heaved the man to his feet and dumped him in the back seat. His daughter and the puppy joined him as he and Saeko got back in. Matthew stomped on the gas and we broke through the encroaching horde.

"Come with us, Stretch! We can make it back to the house!" Eddy said as he, Takashi, and Rolf tore their way through the horde back to Shizuka's Friend's house.

"Safe haven at last!"

Meanwhile, Matthew was driving the Humvee to the initially planned destination of the police car by the river.

"We have a quick stop to make and then we're taking you back to our place."

"You've already done more than I could have hoped for. Thank you." The man they had rescued said, still weak from blood loss.

Matthew drove to the river, and it didn't take long to find the police car. He quickly parked and got out to check up on it. The cop inside was definitely dead with a hole in his head and his gun in hand.

"Guess he just couldn't take it, poor bastard." The Older McGee Brother sighed, shaking his head as he took his gun and the spare ammo and pulled him out of the car before burying him in a small grave.

After he was finished paying his respects to the poor soul, Matthew checked the police car. Luckily the keys were still in the ignition and the engine turned over on the first crank and the fuel tank was also nearly full. Matthew got in and drove the car carefully onto the fishing pier and parked it near the end.

"Alright, here goes nothing."

Matthew turned on the sirens and left the car running in Park with the emergency brake on. With the dinner bell rung, he hurried back to the Humvee and made his winding way back to the apartment.

The other students hurried to open the gate for the action group and shut and blocked it after they were through. Shizuka came out and she brought the wounded man to the living room to treat his injury. Naomi and Kawamoto helped her and he was soon patched up and he and his daughter were moved into the master suite to rest.

Kyoko sat with them to bring the man, well-known reporter Shota Maresato up to speed on everything while also comforting his daughter Arisu, who immediately trusted her as soon as she found she was a teacher. She also took care of the poor girl when she admitted to peeing herself in the back of the Humvee, not that anybody could blame her.

"What do you think you all are doing?"

Everyone turned to see Shido standing there with a disapproving look on his face. Matthew scoffed as he approached the sleazebag.

"We rescued a man and his daughter, that's what we did. What were you doing? Stroking your tiny-ass dick all night?"

"We don't need any more people in this group. By bringing them here, you took valuable supplies from the rest of us."

"Mr. Shido, don't you think that's a little harsh? She's just a little kid." Tsunoda said, even a jackass like him drew the line at leaving children to die.

"Have you forgotten what I told you a long time ago?" Shido asked his student. "It's survival of the fittest. The weak have no place in this new world-"

Suddenly, Shido was punched hard in the face by none other than Ben, the man's blood caking the boy's armored fist as he crouched down and lifted the snake up by the neck.

"You know, you do have a point. We DON'T need any more people in this group...people like YOU!"

Rei smirked and Kohta also grinned. This was a moment they had been waiting for so long to see come to reality. Shido was about to get FUCKED.

"You don't think I can hear your weasely little thoughts, Shido? That you want to try and take over this group so you can make them into your little peons that'll eat up every piece of shit that flies out of your mouth?" Ben asked, tightening his grip as Shido struggled. "Well guess what, nobody is gonna take your crap. If you really believe in survival of the fittest...then clearly, you don't belong in this world."

Ben dragged Shido, kicking and screaming before bringing him to the garage, taking out some chains, and then wrapping them around his wrists tightly before pinning him to desk. He then opened the garage door to show there were still some undead clambering at the gate, even after many of them had been drawn away by the police siren.

"What are you doing?! Let me go! You can't do this!"

"I already have. By tomorrow, we're heading out...and you're not coming with us."

"No! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Shido screamed as Ben went back upstairs and locked the door behind him, leaving Shido to struggle desperately to break free from his bindings.

Double-D yawned as he heard footsteps outside of the room that he and Yuuki were sleeping in. Carefully, he made his way out of the bed without waking Yuuki up. Before he could leave he saw his clothes on the ground.

"Oh good lord, we actually did it..." The sockhatted boy thought, his pale cheeks flushing pink as he quickly shook his thoughts away and picked up his clothes to put them back on.

After he was finished dressing, Double-D came out to see Shizuka tending to Mr. Maresato while Arisu was being made something to eat by Saeko. The little puppy that had come along was also napping on Naomi's lap as she stroked it affectionately.

"Ahh, you're up, Double-D." Saeko smiled. "We picked up a few other survivors. I think you might know one of them."

"Hello, Head-In-Sock Edd-Boy!" Rolf greeted as Double-D gasped in delight at the sight of his foreign friend.

"Rolf! You're here! Thank heavens you're alright!"

Meanwhile, Eddy was watching from the balcony as the police car was already drawing zombies from all over. Masses of them were surging forward to get to the noise, pushing those in front of them off the narrow pier to their doom in the river below. He could even see some on the other side of the river staggering towards the noise. Many of those were losing their footing on the steep bank of the far side and a few landed on their heads and didn't rise again. Those that did get back up kept moving toward the noise, lost their footing in the strong current, and were carried away by the swift river filled with large rocks.

"Man, those things coordination is for SHIT!" The de-facto leader of The Eds cackled in delight.

"Oh, if you're wondering where Mr. Shido is...let's just say he finally outlived what little usefulness he had," Rei said smugly as Kohta grinned wickedly, just as glad as the girl that the man who made both their lives hell was getting his just desserts.

"Torekuroshi-San?" Mr. Maresato asked as he recognized Ben after he deactivated his nanosuit. "Goodness, I almost didn't recognize you."

"Heh, been a while since that incident with those thugs. You know your interview got my friends some good publicity at school." Ben chuckled.

"ROLF! YOU ARE ALIVE!" Ed cheered when he saw Rolf there as well.

"Ah, Bundtcake-For-Brains Ed-Boy! Rolf is happy to see you amongst the living as well!" Rolf smiled as he and the lovable oaf gave each other a bro hug.

What none of the Fujimi Survivors realized through everything going on was that there had been an occupant in the Torekuroshi Apartment. A family friend some would say. He came from Russia and had been an old squadmate of Ben's father back in their youth. Right now, he was passed out drunk in the guest bedroom, which not even Ben had thought to check in all the commotion.

"Ugh...alright, who crapped their pants?" The man groaned as he got out of the plain bed and stood up, scratching his armpits lazily as he went over to the bathroom and looked at his reflection in the mirror.

He was a middle-aged man with war-torn features. He had a mustache and goatee combo done in a Van Dyke style and he was wearing a white tanktop and black boxers. His body was quite well-built with scars over certain parts.

"Urgh...I need to cut back on the Vodka..." The man grumbled, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he went to get dressed. However, he heard groaning and looked out the window to see some of the zombies shambling across the street, his eyes narrowing.

"The undead? Rising from the graves? Has the apocalypse finally come?" The man pondered before sighing. "If I had known, I would have drunken myself to death so I wouldn't have to deal with this crap..."

The man luckily had his stash saved up in case of emergencies such as this. Being a family friend of the Torekuroshi Clan had its perks, after all. Finding a locker with his name written on it, he punched in the personal emergency code on the keypad and swung it open before gearing up, putting on an aviator cap with goggles and some body armor over warm clothes as well as gloves and boots.

Next were the weapons; a Rottweil 72 dubbed 'Olympia', an AK-74u, and an AUG. He also pocketed an old Russian Sickle that was a little personal memento of his. He also holstered a few fresh bottles of high-quality Vodka from the fridge.

"Guns loaded, Vodka stashed, time to put the dead back in their graves."

He immediately made his way over the border to Rika Minami's duplex and swung open the door, fully decked out...and saw a group of young kids already there, along with one person he recognized above all else.

"Nikolai?"

"Ben?" The man questioned before beaming and running over, hugging the boy. "Мой мальчик (My Boy)! You are here!"

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Ben asked, though he was happy to see the man as well.

"I was drunk, too much Vodka last night. Your mum and pop took me home and laid me to bed. Woke up and I see the undead running around out of their graves! What happened?"

"We...honestly don't know what caused this." Toshimi nervously admitted. "Um...w-who are you?"

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Nikolai Belinski, an old squadmate of my dad when he was starting out in the army." Ben introduced.

"I see we have big party here." Nikolai noted as he looked over all the survivors. "Who here wants a shot of Vodka in these troubled times?"

"I do!" Shizuka cheerfully said, raising her hand before being smacked over the head by Kyoko.

Bet none of you expected Nikolai Belinski from the Call of Duty Black Ops Zombie Saga to show up! Yeah, this fic is 95% Crack now but I don't give a shit, I'm having way too much fun with this!
