Chapter 24 and Intermission 3! Here we go! Enjoy!
Everyone entered the break room and almost immediately spread out. Eating, chatting, or just messing around(Thankfully with no Pumbaa farts this time).
Kopa got an idea and began to sneak up on Kion. Closer and closer he crept, until finally pouncing on him! "What the-?!" Kion yelped and the two began tussling with each other, rolling around on the grass.
"Gotcha, little bro!" Kopa laughed, giving Kion a noogie. "Ah, Kopa!" Kion giggled, trying to squirm free. The duo ended up barreling straight into Kiara, who joined their melee. All three royal siblings messed around until Kiara pinned down both of her brothers at once. "Pinned ya." She smirked, sending them and herself laughing.
Simba and Nala watched happily from nearby. "I never thought we'd see all three of them get to play together." "Me either. He should've been with them on the trail to udugu." Nala sighed. "I know." Simba nuzzled her comfortingly.
Suddenly, music began to play from somewhere. Everyone looked towards the sound to see Spirit and Dusty sitting at a DJ booth and wearing sunglasses. "Alrighty, who's ready to party?" Dusty called out. He and Spirit started messing with the sound system, and gradually everyone started getting into it until almost all were dancing(except the unreformed bad guys).
The couples danced with each other, friends were dancing in groups, even a few stubborn animals were tapping their feet/paws/etc. Bunga even climbed up onto the siblings' station and did a stage dive, but ended up face planting on the ground since no one caught him. Thankfully he was fine.
Some animals were really getting down. Timon and Pumbaa were doing some funky breakdance moves but the former got stuck in a split. Ouch. Mufasa, however, was a bit of a klutz and accidentally knocked a few animals over while, uh, dancing.
The party lasted several hours until everyone was exhausted. Spirit and Dusty turned down the lights so that everyone could rest and cast temporary silencing spells on the snorers present.
"That was fun. We'll all nap for a bit before we go back to the theater." Dusty yawned. "Yeah. The next scene is going to be fun to watch, so we'd better not fall asleep during it." Spirit concurred. With that, the two siblings curled up together and went to sleep.
