In a matter of days, a journey that would've spanned weeks, brought them remarkably close to the enigmatic Farlands. Throughout their expedition, they encountered a breathtaking array of ever-shifting landscapes, each more diverse than the last. They ventured through vibrant jungles teeming with life, eerie swamps enveloped in thick fog, scorching deserts searing under the blazing sun, and bone-chilling tundras cloaked in icy stillness. Traveling along the perilous edges of ravines and clinging to the rugged sides of towering mountains, their path occasionally obstructed by intense thunderstorms, yet other days gifted them with crystal-clear skies blanketed under warm sunshine.

"Are we there yet?" Peter asked, his voice filled with impatience.

"We should be getting close!" Villager replied optimistically. "I can feel it!"

"I hope so, I can barely move in here. My feet are killing me!" Martin groaned, his discomfort evident.

"I know how you feel, I can't wait to be able to get out and stretch my legs!" Petra replied sympathetically.

"Hopefully it'll be soon!" Digit moaned.

"That might be sooner than you think!" WordGirl suddenly replied, her voice filled with alertness.

"What makes you say that?" Peter asked curiously.

"You guys might want to see what's up ahead!" WordGirl exclaimed, her finger trembling as she pointed into the distance.

"Woah!" Matt exclaimed, his eyes widening in disbelief. "She's not joking!"

They stood together, a combination of awe, astonishment, and unease filling their expressions as they stared ahead, struggling to comprehend the looming sight before them.

"Well, we're here! The Farlands." Jesse replied. "And they are just as unsettlingly breathtaking as I remember!"

"Woah! Look how tall those mountains are!" Digit gasped.

"I-I don't know what to say or feel about this!" Stewie said. "It's… impossible!"

"And yet, here it is!" Martin continued, his voice filled with a mix of disbelief and fascination.

As the minecarts reached the end of the rails, coming to a gentle stop, the group cautiously stepped out, their hearts racing with anticipation. Slowly, they made their way towards the wall of surreal, jagged cliffs, stretching out far beyond the eye could see.

"Well, this is it..." Inez whispered, her voice trailing off as she broke the silence.

"So… Do we go in?" Peter quietly asked, feeling perplexed.

"Well, the crystal should be somewhere in here, so..."

"Wait a minute!" Steve interjected, his voice filled with concern. "Let's not forget how big this place is. How are we going to find the crystal in all of this?"

"Hopefully it shouldn't be too far from here!" Inez replied.

"And what makes you entirely sure?" Steve asked, raising an eyebrow.

Well, I think the Protectors of Cyberspace made this railroad, and I don't think they'd make us come all this way for nothing!"

"I guess, but where exactly would we find where they put the crystal?" Steve asked.

"Time out, you guys; we need to figure this out!" Matt proclaimed.

"No kidding, Sherlock!" Peter quietly uttered.

Choosing to ignore him, Matt continued. "Okay, now knowing them, where would they most likely have put The Third Crystal?"

"Well, considering that we've found the other two crystals in some sort of underground passage, I suppose that there should be one somewhere nearby." WordGirl answered.

"Well, there are a lot of caves here, so that means the crystal should be hidden somewhere in one of them." Jesse replied.

"But wait a minute! There are tons of caves here! And there's no way we're going to be able to search all of them!" Digit worriedly proclaimed.

"Hold on, Didge! Don't you remember, the Protectors themselves created these passages. Think back to the other crystals we found in Calamore and Equestria." Matt interjected.

"Oh yeah! Now I remember!" He exclaimed. "But how are we going to find it?"

"Ugh! I wish we still had the journal! It probably could've given us a clue!" Jackie grumbled.

The group fell into a momentary silence, the weight of the situation sinking in. The looming threat of Hacker's proximity reminded them of the urgency to continue their quest to find The Third Crystal.

"There's got to be some sort of passageway around here somewhere." Inez inquired. "Just how are we going to find it?"

"Maybe there's a lever or button hidden somewhere nearby!" Steve suggested.

"What makes you think that?" WordGirl asked, perplexed.

"Well, it's worth a shot!" Steve replied. "Come on, let's search around for anything helpful or unusual."

With the few options they had, the group began to search around the surrounding area in hopes of finding something that would lead them to the passage's reveal. Despite their exhaustive efforts, the group's search yielded no results as they carefully scoured every surface, explored every nook and cranny, and scrutinized every available space they could find. Time seemed to stretch as they continued their search.

That's when Inez's sharp eyes caught a glimmer of something reflective hidden away in a corner of one of the caverns. She moved closer, her heart pounding with anticipation. It was a small, stone button, barely noticeable amidst its surroundings. Inez's excitement was contagious as she beckoned the others over.

"Guys! Come quick! I think I've found something!" She exclaimed as the others hurried to her location.

Steve rushed over, his eyes widening with anticipation. "That might be it! Press it and let's see what happens!"

Inez stepped back as WordGirl studied the button carefully, her analytical mind assessing the situation. She took a deep breath and pressed the button. The area began to violently shake, followed by ear shattering rumbles. causing them to run from the cavern and duck down to the ground.

From their view, they watched in awe as a stone staircase began to emerge from the Farlands, sliding out of a hidden slot and descending towards the ground before them. Once the staircase had stopped and settled down, the group climbed their way up, carefully watching their steps. Before long, they had reached the top, revealing a grand entrance adored with a towering stone door looming before them.

Upon successfully opening the massive door, the group found themselves ushered into a dilapidated hallway that exuded an air of desolation. The once majestic structure now appeared abandoned, its walls smothered in a blanket of moss, debris, and weathered cracks. The absence of light cast an eerie darkness, causing them to encounter a multitude of menacing creatures along their path—Spiders, Zombies, Skeletons, and Creepers. Steve, Jesse, and Petra skillfully wielded their swords, dispatching the foes with practiced ease.

Pressing further into the hallway, they eventually arrived at a spacious circular chamber, its magnificence mixed with the decay that plagued the rest of the structure. Each side of the room branched off into distinct passageways.

"Wow! This place is big." Peter expressed in his usual tone.

"What should we do now?" Inez asked.

"I think we should split up and look for something that could lead us to the crystal!" Martin declared.

The group exchanged glances, before nodding in agreement. "Okay! We'll meet back here when someone finds something!" Jesse declared, followed by the others.

With their paths diverging, the group ventured into their respective passageways. Steve, Jesse, and Petra found themselves immersed in a vast library, its shelves reaching towards the ceiling. Methodically, they combed through the books and manuscripts, hoping to find a clue or artifact of significance. However, despite their search, the shelves yielded no secrets or answers. They also made sure to check the various chests scattered nearby, but they too came up empty-handed.

As they entered the second room, The Cybersquad, WordGirl, and Chris found themselves in what appeared to be a dilapidated laboratory. The space was strewn with workbenches that were cluttered with brewing stands, chests, and remnants of potions. Empty bottles and decaying books dedicated to brewing were scattered about.

Well, this place looks like it's seen better days." Matt quietly replied, trying to lift the mood.

Undeterred, they pressed on, carefully scouring the room, inspecting every workbench, chest, and nook they could. Disappointment began to fill the air as their search proved unsuccessful.

In the third and final room, Martin, Villager, Stewie, and Peter found themselves in a smaller yet wider hall. At its center stood a mysterious, rectangular obsidian structure. Blocking their path to the portal was a formidable pool of molten lava. Undeterred, they searched the room for a solution.

Their efforts paid off as they discovered a hidden lever. With a quick flick, a remarkable transformation occurred—the emergence of a sturdy stone bridge that bridged the fiery gap, granting them a safe passage forward.

As they drew closer to the enigmatic structure positioned nearby, a substantial table and chest caught their attention. Within the chest was a trove of valuable resources. Ingots of gleaming gold, pristine quartz, and a myriad of precious treasures lay within its depths.

"I'll just help myself to some of this, thank you!" Peter chimed in, grinning mischievously as he shamelessly plunged his hands into the chest, greedily stuffing his pockets to the brim with the shimmering riches.

That's when their eyes fell upon an array of peculiar objects—unfamiliar plant life, unlike anything they had ever encountered, some of which were growing in pots on the table nearby. However, what truly caught their astonishment was a stack of a peculiar block known as Soul Sand, its eerie presence captivating their curiosity.

Delving deeper into the chest, their eager hands unearthed a pair of flint and steel, their metallic gleam seemingly catching Villager's keen interest. It was at this moment that the rest of the group regrouped, cautiously making their way towards the discovery.

"It appears to be a Nether Portal of some sort," Villager replied, studying the structure with an awed, perplexed expression.

"Nether Portal?" Inez scratched her head in confusion.

"Once we activate the portal, it will transport us to another dimension called The Nether." Steve explained. "It's exactly what it sounds like."

"Cool!" Matt exclaimed.

"But why would The Protectors include a portal to The Nether in this place?" Petra pondered. "I mean, it's a literal Hellscape filled with all kinds of dangerous creatures!"

"Well, considering that they have all this stuff, they might've seen The Nether as an opportunity for growth, discovery, and perhaps even a means to safeguard the crystal." Steve replied, shrugging puzzledly.

"Yeah, check this out. They have Blaze Rods, Nether Quartz, Soul Sand, and even Glowstone!" Jesse chimed in, reaching into the chest to explore its contents.

"They also had some gold that I may or may not have taken." Peter quietly replied.

"But why exactly would they want all of this?" Digit asked. "What use would they have for all of this?"

"I think I might have an idea," Steve announced, holding up the Flint and Steel. "It looks like our next step is to go to The Nether for ourselves!"

"Are you sure it's a good idea?" Inez nervously replied.

"It looks like we don't have any other choice." Jesse replied.

"Let's give it a try, at least." Martin declared. "Light the portal and see what happens."

With a flick of the Flint and Steel, Steve ignited the Nether portal, its familiar purple glow spreading across the frame. To their amazement, the wall adjacent to the portal began to shift, revealing a previously concealed passageway.

There, at the end of the hall, sitting on a grand pedestal, bathed in an ethereal yellow glow, rested a magnificent crystal. Casting dancing shadows on the surrounding walls, It was unmistakably The Third Crystal they had been searching for, a beacon of hope in their quest to save their beloved worlds.

"OMG! We found it! The Third Crystal!" Inez gasped, her eyes widening in astonishment. The group erupted into a chorus of excited cheers, their voices echoing through the chamber, filled with triumph and relief.

"And we did it before Hacker could!" Matt exclaimed, a large grin spreading across his face.

"Huh! I wasn't expecting that!" Petra replied, her disbelief transforming into a satisfied smile as she glanced back at the now-ignited Nether Portal behind them.

"Come on, what are we waiting for?" Jackie asked impatiently. "Let's grab the crystal and get out of here!" She determinedly declared.

In a burst of excitement, Jackie couldn't contain herself and rushed over to the pedestal, swiftly crossing the bridge that separated them from the pool of molten lava below. Her footsteps echoed in the chamber as she drew closer, her eyes widening in astonishment at the sight of the shimmering crystal. It seemed to emanate an otherworldly brilliance, captivating her gaze.

As Jackie extended her hand, a surge of anticipation coursing through her veins, a sudden movement caught her off guard. A figure emerged, appearing before her with unexpected swiftness. Startled, she stumbled backward, barely managing to maintain her balance.

They all gasped as they stared at the figure above, who had an eerie resemblance to Steve, the difference being his blank, glowing white eyes, seemingly devoid of life or emotion. A large, sinister smile was plastered across his face as he slowly descended towards the pedestal.

"Well, well, well, long time no see, brother!" The figure's voice resonated, his words penetrating the silence with an otherworldly quality. The disembodied voice seemed to emanate from within the figure itself, his lips devoid of any movement.
