Chapter 39.
Suspicious Surroundings.
The Car rolled down the street until it stopped at a Blue House, Flanked between two palm trees, it seemed a welcoming enough site for Butters and Nelly as Uncle Budd and Aunt Nellie led them inside.
"Now, Once you two are unpacked, We're gonna show you sightseeing all around Hollywood." Said Aunt Nellie. "Wouldn't that be fun?"
"Oh Boy o Boy." Cheered Butters. "You're gonna love elay Nelly, I once came here with Eric once, When he pretended to be a Robot!"
"Seriously?" Asked Nelly. "You bought that?"
"Yeah, And when I realized it was him, I showed the whole school a video tape of him dressing up as Britney Spears and dancing with Justin Timberlake."
Nelly tried to stop herself from bursting with laughter upon hearing that.
"Oh just look at that Budd." Said Aunt Nellie with a sigh, as she and Budd watched them go to Butters room. "They're just so cute together."
"Yeah, a little too cute…" Budd said, His voice lowering slightly, Nelly couldn't help but notice this, quickly making a mental note to get an arms length with Uncle Budd.
Later on in the day, Butters and Nelly took a tour around all of LA. It was a fun day, Butters showed her a bunch of historic areas around Hollywood, Seeing cemented handprints, visiting amusement parks and saw Catamount pictures.
"Hey, and that's the movie studio that tried to use Cartman to make Adam Sandler movies!
The two had a fun time, and almost forgot the trouble they went through back home, But Nelly still felt something was slightly off, she couldn't put her finger on it, but everytime she looked at Uncle Budd… something crawled underneath her skin and she didn't know why.
At the end of the day, The two kids had been all over town, and sat together on a bench,eating ice cream and watching the sunset setting the distance, Nelly reflected on the whole day she had with Butters, She never thought she would have this much fun with a boy, Especially Butters Stotch of all people, though to be honest, Nelly never expected all her friends to also join the boys and… commit a violent french revolution-esque cuop against every adult back in South Park either, but then again, perhaps they brought that on themselves.
She turned to look at Butters, who was still eating his ice cream, she never truly imagined being in this situation with a troublemaker like him of all people, than again, there were a few moments in the past where she and a few of the other girls did findhim to be cute sometimes, though he he often made a fool of himself most of the time, which kinda turned them off, especially with that… movement.
Nelly quickly brushed it out of her mind as Butters looked at her.
"Isn't this great?" He asked. "Not every day you get to see Hollywood."
"It's honestly nice." Nelly said, awkwardly "Getting away from it all."
But then she remembered why they were really here. The grim reality began to set into her mind once again, she looked at Butters intently, almost expecting him to crack too. She almost asked him what would happen next, seeing the smile on his face, Nelly couldn't bring herself to ask.
"So you think we'll be good for a while?" Butters asked. "They won't find us here."
Nelly was caught off guard, she was expecting to ask that. "Uh, I don't know…" She said, "I mean, it's not like Clara and the others will find us here, Right?"
"I hope not." Butters said. "I didn't think they'd be that angry at us too… then again, We did kinda pit the school." He trailed off and started to rub his knuckles together, an awkward expression crossing his face."
"We?" Asked Nelly, confused.
Just then, Aunt Nellie called after them.
"Butters, Nelly!" She called. "Time to go home now!"
"Oh, Comin Aunt Nellie!" Butters hopped off his seat and beckoned Nelly. "Hope you had fun today Nelly."
Nelly almost managed a smile, But not before seeing Uncle Budd nearby, giving her a sour look.
"Okay that guy is a creep." Nelly thought as she caught up to Butters and his family.
Meanwhile,
Stan and the others trekked through the woods, before finally stopping before a Road.
"Well this is bullcrap, What now?" Asked Cartman.
"Do you think we can pick up a ride here?" Asked Mark.
"(I don't know.)" Kenny muffled. "(Doesn't seem that busy.)"
Just then, The rumbling of a Bus was heard, and they saw one coming up the road, before stopping just before them. It was a rickety old thing that had seen better days, the doors opened to reveal a shaggy looking man at the wheel.
"Oh hello." He said in a wheezy voice. "Any destination?"
"Uh yeah… We're trying to get to Washington D.C. Can you take us there?" Stan asked.
"Oh Washington." the Driver said. "Lots of folks going there lately, You can hop on free of Charge kiddies!" He cackled with a cough.
The Kids exchanged unsure looks between them.
"Uh… sure." Said Tammy, Before boarding first, Followed by Stan, Heidi, Cartman, Ike, Mark and Rebecca.
As soon as they were on board, The Driver shut the doors and off they went.
