Buddha had once again been released to hurt others in the current timeline. Now this is what happened in the past when the evil wizard Babidi once met with Buddha in the past, in fact it was Babidi's magic that helped aid Buddha in becoming powerful. They both were merciless, sadistic and darkly mirthful. They felt no remorse for eliminating anyone, even their most loyal followers, considering them fodder for their main plan. They both would kill those who outlive their usefulness simply to satisfy their sadism, showing that they only care for their own life's and no other. Indeed, they spread the idea of Reincarnation, making others believe that they could die and still come back into a brand new life. Trunks had one day encountered them both in the past, when an injured Supreme Kai came to Earth seeking Trunks's help in stopping Majin Buu, who had been created using Buddha's own DNA.

"So... you want me to fight this creature known as Majin Buu? How do I know I can trust you?" Trunks asked, facing the heavily injured Supreme Kai.

"If we don't stop Majin Buu, he'll destroy the whole universe! My whole family died because of him! Don't you understand the kind of pain it is to lose somebody precious like that! I saw them all die!" The Supreme Kai said.

"I do understand... I lost my mentor and step-father Vegeta to the androids in the future." Trunks said.

"Then help me... please..." The Supreme Kai said, with tears forming in his eyes.

Trunks nodded. "I believe you... where is Majin Buu?"

"I believe he's somewhere in Egypt. I'll take us there... but let's be careful, Majin Buu is a creature that can absorb people. If he absorbs you, then were as good as dead." The Supreme Kai said.

Trunks nodded. "I'll be careful. Let's go."

Thus they went to face Majin Buu who was currently turning people into candy while Babidi and Buddha watched in enjoyment.

Trunks threw ki blasts at Majin Buu, causing Buu to notice him.

Then Buddha's fat ass began to eat all the candy, causing Majin Buu to grow very angry, so Majin Buu killed Buddha. After seeing Buddha die like that, Babidi used his magic to bring back Buddha's soul from the dead. He did a call of the hunted, so to speak. However, Buddha was just an evil spirit who now had Babidi's power to control other's by using the evil in their hearts. When Trunks and the Supreme Kai arrived, thousands of innocent people had already been consumed by Majin Buu. Buddha attempted to take over Trunks's soul, but failed due to the fact that Trunks's soul was pure. So then Majin Buu attacked Trunks, but none of his attacks could hurt him.

"Why can't Buu kill you?" Majin Buu asked facing Trunks.

"Because I live forever! This ends now, Buu!" Trunks shouted out as he transformed into a Super Saiyan.

Babidi was shocked to see such power. "Buu! Kill him already!"

Majin Buu wickedly smiled. "If Buu can't kill you... then Buu will eat you!" Majin Buu then turned Trunks into a piece of candy and ate him.

Inside Majin Buu's body, Trunks had turned back to normal. "What happened? Where am I?" Trunks wondered.

"You are inside Buu, Trunks... you have to find a way out." God said.

"B-But... how? Did you turn me back to normal? Thank you God." Trunks said, so then he managed to find a way out by going through one of Majin Buu's ears. Once he was out, the Supreme Kai took him away to his planet in the spirit realm.

"Welcome to my home... I believe there's only one way we can stop Majin Buu and that's if you can take the Z sword out! Legend has it that the sword can seal anyone in it!" The Supreme Kai said.

Trunks smiled. "I'll give it a shot!" Trunks said as he then transformed and pulled the sword out.

"You are the chosen one!" The Supreme Kai said.

"Haha... not really, I'm just Trunks! Now let's go seal Majin Buu!" Trunks said. Then the Supreme Kai and Trunks came back to Earth, where they encountered Majin Buu and Babidi's dead body.

"W-What... he killed his own master!?" The Supreme Kai said.

Majin Buu smirked. "You can just call me... The Buddha!"

Trunks smirked. "Have a taste of my sword!" Trunks shouted as he thrust his sword at Buu, causing the evil Buddha's soul to become trapped into it.

"Mark my words, I'll be back!" Buddha shouted.

Now Majin Buu was no longer possessed. "You freed Buu... Buu like you, can we... be friends?" Majin Buu asked.

Trunks smiled. "So long as you don't eat me again... ha ha ha... no really, I'm serious."

Majin Buu smiled. "Buu will leave this planet and go eat others somewhere else."

Trunks sighed. "You've gotta stop eating so much! I tell you what... I'll make you some food, we have all the time in the world... literally..."

Majin Buu smiled. "Okay! Buu stay with you and eat no more people."

The Supreme Kai was beyond shocked. "I can't believe you actually befriended him!"

Trunks smiled. "Let's all go eat now."

Little did Trunks know, that Buddha was getting ready to use his own magic to get freed from the sword, on a later day.
