A/N: So sorry for the delay, been busy. Thanks to all who left reviews in my absence. It kept giving me a reminder that I had this story as unfinished business lol.

Frankie appeared at the morgue window holding a piece of paper. Knocking on the glass, Maura looked up from the current autopsy she was working on. She placed the scalpels she had in her hand back on the tool tray and motioned him toward the door.

He entered the autopsy area and lifted the paper to read aloud to Maura. "I found a match for the paint; it turns out it isn't a common one. In fact, it was only recently used in certain makes and models. I looked for the make and models locally and for the color and voila, the car is registered to a car wholesaler that takes salvage cars and turns them around to be rebuilt and resold."

"That's great Frankie, I would run that across any known affiliations to Angie Harrison or James Gene to that business. They were clever enough to at least not use their own car. If we can either locate that car or footage of it being driven past any cameras, we can place it near the crime scene."

"What do you think you could get me if I find you the car?" Frankie grinned hoping for more than a lead.

"I can possibly find fingerprints if they weren't careful, but if it was wholesale- those prints can range from detailers, mechanics, salespeople, and even buyers depending on how far in the process the car was before they used it for the crime. Since it was last registered to the dealer and no new title changes, we may have time. I would definitely send someone out to their warehouse or showroom. Ask for that car specifically and any records of their handling of the car. Though if it was intended as murder weapon from the start, we may not have any logs of its handling and it possibly sold off to hide the evidence. Time is of the essence Frankie."

Frankie taking the hint and realizing, hopped up, looking back to Maura with a thank you and heading back to Nina in the BRIC. He would likely talk through and arrange what he would need to raid the business with Korsak. That could take an hour at minimum, but she would likely have at least confirmation of the car being at the dealership or not within two hours she was hoping.

In the meantime, she would get her lab ready with all the kits for DNA testing options. "One can prepare for best case scenario but know that the worst-case scenario is likely what it is." She sighed to herself. She had left her mother a voicemail the night before and told her she would call her in Paris at noon. Taking off her gloves to pause her current autopsy. It was a self-evident death from heart attack based on her examination of the organ. Although she would fully go through all the rigors of the full examination, this one didn't seem to have foul play involved.

She headed to the sinks to wash her hands and headed to her office to make the call to her mother. Pulling the phone from her pocket, she dialed her mother's number.

Constance picked up on the second ring. "Hello Darling, how are you doing, I was very much concerned when you left a voicemail. You seemed lost and timid. Is everything alright? Did your detective make it to Quantico?"

"Yes Mother, actually my detective is why I called you. Why do you call Jane my detective?"

"Why darling? She is your detective, is she not?"

"I mean she is my best friend, who is a detective. Yes."

"Yes, and she belongs to you since you mean a lot to each other, correct?" Maura confirmed that as well.

"Mother, I was wondering if you thought Jane and I are a couple?"

"Yes, dear, isn't that why Jane came after me and forced me to treat you well like a detective on a rampage to fix me?" Maura smiled fondly at the description.

"That wasn't why she was doing that mother; she is just a very caring person."

"Maura dear she looks at you fondly like the sun and moon rise and falls from your very aura."

Maura sighed hopefully. "Mother she and I are just friends I think you were seeing something more than that."

"But honey, I see how she looks at you, and I see how you look at her too you know. You can't hide your fondness of her. You glow when she is around. Can that just be friendship? I'm so sorry Maura for the mistake. I just assumed. Now it makes more sense why you aren't going to Quantico with her. There just seemed to be signs to me that you loved each other and were together."

"Like what?"

"Well, you do spend all your time together. After work, holidays, you go on vacations together to Paris dear, you even let her mother stay in your guest house long term. If that wasn't the clue, the final nail in the coffin is Paddy mentioned to me at some point when you were abducted, and he called Jane answered that she would give anything they wanted to get you back. I doubt that is police protocol."

"She did?"

"Yes, anyway I'll stop assuming in the future." Constance correctively admitted. "Now that we have that out of the way is there anything else bothering you?"

"Well, you see, theoretically you saw things that weren't there. However, I'm now realizing things were there that I didn't know that were there, but now I want what seemed to be there and now I feel like I can't have it." Maura rushed, a little perturbed on how the conversation was getting everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

Perplexed and trying to reconcile the circular circumstances Constance paused.

"How can you be sure you can't have it, Maura? Have you tried?" Constance challenged and questioned curiously.

Jane rolled over to her side of the bed and pulled the covers a slight bit, the cool air hitting shoulders gave her a chill. The body behind her also adjusted turning to pull the remaining covers over and turning into Jane's body.

Soft hands traveled over her tank top, past her abdomen causing a tingle to pass the skin below it and resting a single hand across Jane's body.

Jane hummed at the sensations coursing through the contact of both their skin. She felt the warm breath on her neck as the body behind her nuzzled below her ear. A warm sensation filled her as a soft tongue escaped moist soft lips that sat at the base of her neck. The tongue snaked a light sliding from the base of her collarbone and slid up and behind her ear, until the warm mouth encompassed Jane's lobe and suckled at it while the faint breathing from behind her tickled her ears.

It shot goosebumps across her neck. The breathy sound radiated warmth and ache to her center and the surface of her skin.

"Good morning." Jane rasped breathless at the sensations that the nuzzling, kissing, and suckling was causing her. She had never felt so teased and aroused at the light touches and tongue bath that was greeting her with her adjusting position in bed.

"Do you know the clavicle is a slender, S-shaped long bone approximately 6 inches long that serves as a strut between the shoulder blade and the sternum. Jane, I love your exquisite long bones and your sternum." Maura's rasped breathlessly into the brunette's ears only.

Jane shot up in the bed sitting up shocked and disoriented. It was a dream. A very real dream that had made her feel very different things. She glanced at her watch. It was Sunday night at 3am and she was in Cameron's room. They had ended with a tryst after a matinee showing at the movies. They were regularly sleeping together after sex, but Jane didn't always intentionally stay the night. Jane always preferred to go home to the solitude of her own domain. She liked Cameron a lot and was very attracted to him, but she still liked her space.

She whispered under her breath. "What the actual fuck."

Cameron turned around in the bed confused at Jane's rigid posture and sudden movement in the bed.

Sleepily he asked, "Jane is everything alright?"

"I, I, I don't know. Um I think I forgot to do an errand that I was supposed to do, and now I just realized and uh, if you don't mind, I'm going to head home so I can go do that.

"Sure," Cameron answered groggily giving her a kiss on the cheek and turning back over to fall asleep. He was used to her returning to her own abode to her own comfort. He understood her needs and always gave her that space. He wasn't needy or demanding. He always understood that Jane needed her independence and order. He was happy to give her what she needed especially knowing her history of Hoyt.

Jane a little more than shocked she had just dreamt about her best friend kissing, sucking and licking her neck and feeling so aroused it hurt, was blasted in the gut of what she was just realizing. She soon padded over to the bathroom to get dressed and gathered up her things to drive back to her place in a rush.

"Have you tried Maura?" Constance repeated sighing.

"No Mother, I just didn't think of it that way. I mean I didn't let myself think that way."

"Well now that you do, what do you suppose you should do about it?" She shook her head in disbelief, her daughter was smart, but she didn't realize how oblivious she was.

"I don't know, it's not geographically easy to act on anything now. Also, Jane is currently in a relationship with Cameron in Quantico."

Constance sighed. "Well, that is a conundrum, ma Cherie." She tsked at the situation.

"I know, that is why I was calling you. I'm not sure what to do." The office door jiggled open, and Maura was facing Frankie who was now breathless. She put her hand over the mouthpiece as Frankie spoke.

"Maura, you have to come with me, I'm not sure what to do, we arranged to raid the warehouse and the record of the car is there, but it is nowhere on the property. Everyone is either hush hush or oblivious. I need help to try to find it but I also don't want to leave that scene without getting your opinion. I'm wondering if you might see something I didn't."

"Sure Frankie, give me a moment to get off the phone with my mom and I will join you in the bull pen shortly." Maura replied, quick to remove her hand from her mouthpiece.

"I have to go Mother, a work situation, if you can, I need your help and advice where to go from here. I'll call you this weekend and maybe I can figure out my next steps. I don't want to ruin anything, and I don't want to rush anything. This could be the most important thing I ever do."

"Sure, darling I'll think on it and talk to your father and see what we can think of and look forward to your call on the weekend. Love you and talk to you soon."
"Love you Mother. Goodbye." Maura pressed the call end on her phone and stood up and walked out of her office and up toward the bullpen.
