Chapter 69

Ronnie Anne vs Brock

Lincoln and the group tell professor oak and ivy what happened at the gym. including the talk to detective looker.

"Who would've thought the gym leader was the leader of team rocket," Oak said."

"I'll say," Ivy said."

"Somehow I think we'll see him again as a changed man," Lincoln said."

"Even so, he still has to face the consequences for his crimes," Oak said." But in the meantime, Ivy and I will study your new Pokémon."

"Ok professor, after we rest our Pokémon and eat, we'll call our family," Lincoln said."

"Very well," Oak said."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot, we met this cop guy named Looker before calling," Clyde said." he asked us questioned about team rocket and Giovanni, so we told him everything we know."

"Looker is great cop, he's been hunting down team rocket for a long time," Ivy said." He's found a lot of team rockets hidden bases in Kanto."

"Talk about cool," Bobby said."

"we'll talk to you after pewter city," Lincoln said."

Both sides wave goodbye and turn the videophones off. As Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's Pokémon were getting checked up, Lincoln and friends were having lunch, Ronnie Anne was feeding Togepi while Lincoln opened the note he got from Giovanni.

"Beware of Logan Loud?" Lincoln said confused."

The others looked confused as well.

"Logan Loud? I didn't know you had another brother or cousin," Clyde said."

"I don't, or at least I don't think I do," Lincoln said."

"Maybe you can ask your family," Bobby said."

"Good idea," Lincoln said."

At nighttime, Giovanni is seen outside of town carrying a mysterious suitcase wearing a long trench coat and a dark hat.

"I hope my warning got to him, and I hope he save my son from himself," Giovanni said tipping his hat then leaves.

At the loud house, Daytime,

The louds were still shocked about the gym battle until their watches start beeping.

"Link's calling!" Luan said."

"I'll get the videophone ready," Lisa said."

As Lisa gets the Videophone in the garage, the McBrides and Casagrandes arrive. as Lisa turns on the videophone, Lincoln and group are seen on the screen.

"Hey guys," Lincoln said."

"Bro, we saw the battle, I can't believe the gym leader was the leader of team rocket," Luna said."

"Yeah, and you two really took him down," Lynn said."

"Too bad he got away," Carl said."

"Yeah, but to be honest I think I freed him from invisible shackles holding him to team rocket," Lincoln said."

"Shackles?" Lynn sr. asked."

Lincoln explains about the journal he found explaining about Giovanni's mother and the clone Pokémon. everyone felt sorry for Giovanni especially Lori.

"So, he was forced to follow in his mom's footsteps without thinking of his feelings?" Hector asked."

"Yup," Lincoln replied."

"Kind of like me trying to force Lincoln in a relationship without thinking of his feelings," Lori said."

"don't worry, you've changed," Lincoln said."

Lori felt better as Lincoln and friends send their data. After seeing the pictures of the Pokémon including Komikid they were surprised."

"Whoa, that Pokémon looks like a superhero," CJ said."

"I know, that's why I nicknamed him Ace Savy," Lincoln said."

"Did you nickname yours prima?" Carl asked."

"Nah, haven't thought about it," Ronnie Anne replied."

"At least you got all your badges," Rita said."

"Yup, and I'm gonna help Ronnie Anne get her last two from brock and misty," Lincoln said."

"that's very nice of you," Frida said."

"Thanks, after a good rest, we'll head to pewter city tomorrow," Lincoln said."

"Ok kiddo, we'll spend more time with your fossil Pokémon," Lynn sr. said."

"And we look forward to your battle with brock," Maria said."

"Thanks mom," Ronnie Anne said.

Lynn sr. sees a concern look on Lincoln's face.

"Something wrong son?" Lynn sr. asked."

"Well, when Giovanni gave us our Pokémon there was a note, (showing the note) it said beware of Logan Loud," Lincoln replied." is there by any chance we have a secret brother or a cousin we don't know about?"

The family looked shocked and confused.

"I don't think so, but I'll call my brother just in case," Lynn sr. replied."

"I've checked our family line and Logan was never mentioned," Lisa said."

"Maybe, this Logan is probably from the future or a parallel universe," Leni guessed."

"we'll look into this Logan and let you know if we found anything sweety," Rita said."

"Thanks mom," Lincoln said."

Everyone ways goodbye and turns off the videophone. At the Pokémon center, after picking up their Pokémon the group head to their rooms to get some sleep. The next morning after having breakfast, the group rides their bikes to pewter city. during their bike ride, Ronnie Anne finds a bunnery and catches it, as they go through the viridian forest, Clyde finds and catches a Grubbin, Bobby catches a Wimpod, and Ronnie Anne catches a shiny Heracross because it was purple, light purple or pink. as they arrive in pewter city, they meet brock's dad flint.

"I knew you were coming," Flint said."

"Hi Flint," Lincoln said."

Brocks been waiting for you, come with me," Flint said."

They follow him to the gym. as they entered, they see brock sitting in waiting. his mom and siblings sitting in the belchers. Lincoln (holding Togepi), Clyde and Bobby sit on the other side of the belchers.

"I'm glad you made it," Brock said."

"Me too," Ronnie Anne said."

"Brock, I want you to beat that witch for stealing Lincoln from me!" Yolanda said."

"Sorry link, my sister is still crushing on you," Brock said."

Lincoln shrugs while Ronnie Anne playfully rolls her eyes.

At the loud house, nighttime,

Everyone gathers around the living room with snacks and sits Infront of the TV. as Lisa turns on the TV, they see Brocks family with Rita feeling envious seeing brock's mother.

"Nine kids and still have that figure, that's surprising," Maria said."

"I wonder what her secret is," Rita wondered."

"Maybe it's the berries your son sent," Frida replied."

"Takes more than that," Rosa said." she must have done some exercises and went to the spa."

Rita pondered on that.

Back at the gym,

"The battle will begin with five on five, let the battle begin!" Flint said."

"here's my first two Pokémon!" brock said."

He sends out a fossil like Pokémon with a blue top on its head and a grey wolf like Pokémon.

"what's are they?" Ronnie Anne asked."

"it's a rampardos, it was a fossil I found when we were digging for some. and this is Lycanroc, I got it on a wonder trade," brock replied." I trained and evolved them."

Back at the loud house,

(squeals)" another fossil Pokémon, amazing," Lisa said."

"It looks very astonishing," Carlos said."

"That grey wolf looks awesome," Lana said." I bet Lincoln's Rockruff will turn into that."

Back at the gym,

"tyrunt, you're up!" Ronnie Anne said." you too, Tricerachop."

She sends out tyrunt and Tricerachop.

"Awesome my first battle," Tyrunt said."

"Mine too," Tricerachop said."

Both of you, use stone edge!" Brock said."

Both Pokémon stomp on the ground making stones rise up towards the fossil Pokémon.

"Dodge and use crunch and rollout!" Ronnie Anne said."

Both fossil Pokémon dodge, Tyrunt uses crunch on Lycanroc causing damage, while Tricerachop rolls towards Rampardos.

"Rampardos, Zen headbutt!" Brock said."

Rampardos's head starts to glow blue and runs towards Tricerachop's rollout. the two attacks impact each other, causing them both to fly backwards.

At the loud house,

"Wow, talk about rolling with it," Luan joked."

Everyone groaned.

"let's hope she knows what she's doing," Lola said."

Back at the gym,

"Lycanroc, use crunch," Brock said." Rampardos, Ironhead!

"Tricerachop, dodge and use double kick!" Tyrunt use dig."

Tricerchop dodges Lyconroc's crunch by sliding under it, she then double kicks Lycanroc into the air. meanwhile Tyrunt digs underground dodging Rampardos.

"Now, use cut!" Ronnie Anne said."

Tricerachop jumps and uses a powerful cut on Lycanroc knocking it out and landing on the ground.

"Rampardos earthquake!" Brock said."

Rampardos causes an earthquake forcing Tyrunt out of the ground.

"Hyper beam!" Ronnie Anne said."

Tyrunt fires a hyper beam at Rampardos knocking it out.

"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, Tyrunt and Tricerachop wins," Flint said."

Back at the loud house,

"Alright, she won the first round!" CJ said."

"With Lincoln as her coach, she won't lose," Carl said."

Back at the gym,

Brock recalls his two Pokémon.

"Not bad, link really got you ready, now here's my new ones," Brock said."

He sends out an Aggron and a Arcinine but it looked different. after seeing the Arcanine, Lincoln has another vision of it.

"Hey, don't worry, you'll make your parent proud," memory Lincoln said as he pets the Arcanine.

"Little loud you, ok?" Bobby asked."

(coming to his senses)" yeah, I'm good."

"I know you have questions, so I'll give them to you, this Arcanine somehow came from the past through a time portal. it's not just a fire type, it's also a rock type," Brock explained."

Back at the loud house,

"A time portal?!" Lisa said."

"Why not, there are portal to different universes," Carlos said."

"By the look on Lincoln's face it's probably a Pokémon he saw in a past life," Luna said."

"Maybe, but that other one looks like Bobby's little Aron will turn into that," Lori said."

Back at the gym,

Ronnie Anne recalls her Pokémon to rest.

"Hawlucha, Magmar, go!" Ronnie Anne said."

She sends her next Pokémon out.

"Brick break and fire punch!" Ronnie Anne said."

Hawlucha uses brick break on Aggron while Magmar uses fire punch on Arcanine.

"Aggron, thunder punch, Arcanine power gem!" brock said."

Aggron dodges brick break and uses thunder punch on Hawlucha sending him to the wall knocking it out. Arcanine fires power gems at Magmar, she tries punching them, but it wasn't enough, and it sends her flying to the wall knocking her out. Ronnie Anne, Clyde, Bobby, and Lincoln looked both surprised and shocked.

"What just happened?" Bobby asked."

"I don't know," Clyde replied."

Back at the loud house,

Everyone had the same shock expression.

"Talk about strong," Carlota said."

"Who would've thought a rock type would have an electric type move," Carl said."

"I don't think anyone of us anticipated that," Rosa said."

Back at the gym,

Ronnie Anne recalls her Pokémon.

"you two did great," Ronnie Anne said." Gengar, Heracross you're up!"

She sends out her two Pokémon.

"First battle, I won't let you down," Heracross said."

"Back at the loud house,

Everyone was surprised by seeing Heracross.

"Why is that Pokémon pink?" Carls asked."

"Don't know Don't care I like the color," Lola replied."

"You sure its pink, it's more like light purple," Lana said."

Some agreed with Lana.

Back at the gym,

"Aggron, shadow claw! Arcanine, dragon pulse!" brock said."

Aggron uses shadow claw on Heracross while Arcanine fires dragon pulse at Gengar.

"Heracross, use bide! Gengar night shade!" Ronnie Anne said."

Heracross uses bide to withstand shadow claw by glowing, Gengar fires a night shade at Arcanine's dragon pulse. as dragon pulse and nightshade are pushing each other Gengar is still holding on.

"I won't let Ronnie Anne down! I will get her to the league!" Gengar said.

With sheer will power Gengar uses his nightshade at full power pushing back dragon pulse breaking through and injuring Arcanine. he then suddenly shoots a hyper beam causing enough damage to make Arcanine fall. meanwhile Gengar was on the ground catching his breath.

"Arcanine is down!" Fint said."

"Aggron, use Iron head!" brock said."

Aggron's head turns iron and runs towards Heracross.

"Now, unleash bide!" Ronnie Anne said."

Heracross unleashes bide and Aggron was sent to the wall, but it wasn't enough to make it fall.

"Aggron is tougher than you think," Brock said."

"you still good Heracross?" Ronnie Anne said."

"Yeah," Heracross replied."

"Use mega punch!" Both brock & Ronnie Anne said."

The two Pokémon ran towards each other, their fists collide with each other's faces at full force. for a brief moment the two stood their until they both fell unconscious.

"Both Aggron and Arcanine are unable to battle, and seeing that Gengar is the only one standing it's the victor," Flint said."

Ronnie Anne recalls her two Pokémon.

"you two did great," Ronnie Anne said."

Back at the loud house,

"That was a great battle there," Lynn said."

"And the suspense was great, I wasn't sure who would fall," CJ said."

"I wonder what the last Pokémon is gonna be," Lana said."

Back at the gym,

"Golem, let's go!" brock said."

He sends out a golem like Pokémon.

"Your turn!" Ronnie Anne said."

She sends out Bunnery. making brock's younger sisters and mother squeal seeing her while his younger brothers said nothing.

Back at the loud house,

Everyone squealed in delight seeing Bunnery.

"OMG, that is the cutest bunny Pokémon ever, besides Lincoln's," Leni said."

"I defiantly invite it to my tea parties," Lola said."

"I can just make the perfect outfit for it," Carlota said."

"I can just paint its beauty," Frida said."

Back at the gym,

"Golem, use gyro ball!" brock said."

Golem uses gyro ball towards Bunnery.

"Use ice beam!" Ronnie Anne said."

Bunnery fires an ice beam freezing Golem in place.

"Now, use dizzy punch!" Ronnie Anne said."

Bunnery uses dizzy punch over and over freeing Golem from the ice but confused.

"Use power up punch!" brock said."

Golem was still confused that it used the move on itself.

"Finish this with mega kick!" Ronnie Anne said."

Bunnery uses mega kick on Golem knocking it out.

"Golem is unable to battle, Bunnery wins. thus, the victor goes to Ronnie Anne," Flint said."

Lincoln, Togepi, Clyde, and Bobby cheered.

"that's my girl," Lincoln said."

Back at the loud house,

Everyone cheered.

"She did it!" Carlota said."

"Now she just has to beat misty and she's in the league," Lori said."

Back at the gym,

"Ronnie Anne, for your victory, I give the boulder badge," brock said."

He gives Ronnie Anne the bolder badge.

"Hey Ronnie Anne, (she turns to see Yolanda)" I'll be a trainer someday, and when I do, I'll defeat you myself for stealing my Lincoln," Yolanda said."

(smirking)" I look forward to that," Ronnie Anne said." (thinking)' even though Lincoln was never yours.'
