Ash was sorting through a stack of papers in his dorm room.
Well he didn't have any students to teach about Pokémon battles since most of the students were out on the Treasure Hunt it was important to get everything ready for when he did have students to teach. For that matter, his mother and all his friends said he was bad at organizing things, so he might as well get some practice.
Especially because he was supposed to be teaching a group of students at Levincia City there was a battle tournament happening there tomorrow and a bunch of students from the academy was attending so Clavell thought that it would be a good learning experience.
Ash was thinking about bringing out some of his older Pokémon to show the students some of his different strategies.
Besides his older Pokémon really could use some time in the sun.
Ash was going through his mental list to decide which Pokémon to bring.
"Let's see I haven't used Corphish or Heracross in a while they might like to get some battling in. But Hawlucha would probably be super mad if he knew I wasn't giving him a chance to show off in front of people and if I bring Hawlucha then Noivern has to come along as well right Pikachu"
"Chu" Pikachu nodded Pikachu knew a lot about the rest of Ash's Pokémon since he had spent the most time with them.
"Ash! Ash!" Chloe burst into Ash's dorm.
"Yeesh, Chloe what is it?"
"There's been a bunch of reports about a giant Bombirdier dropping rocks around Artazon look" Chloe held out her phone. There was a Youtube video of a giant Bombirdier dropping rocks on the ground and several normal-looking Bombirdiers around it.
"What the how did a Bombirdier get so big?"
"I don't know but we've got to stop it dropping rocks like that could seriously hurt people"
"Your right we can't just let that thing hurt people"
"Chu!" Pikachu hopped onto Ash's arm.
"Iris texted me she said she's already on her way"
"Alright, Chloe let's get going!"
"So Florian do you have a plan?" Julianna asked as she warily got onto Don's back. Julianna had gotten her Pokémon healed at the Pokémon center well they came up with a plan to stop the Titan Bombirdier. Although the plan ended up as "just hit the thing"
"How much of a plan do you need for this just hit the thing until it drops out of the sky"
"Florian, we were one wrong move from the Klawf killing us last time what makes you think this is any different?" Cherry asked.
"Don Ve tan rapido como puedas! andale! andale!" Florian shouted. Don sprung forward hitting his max speed in a few seconds.
"Florian how do drive this thing!" Julianna shouted.
"Oh, it's easy just yank the handlebars whichever way you want to go" Florian demonstrated by pulling on dawns feathers steering Koraidon to the left. With how reserved Florian was Julianna didn't expect he'd be such a reckless driver.
"Bombirdier!" Rings of black and purple energy rained down from the sky knocking Don off his feet.
Julianna felt her body get flung through the air like a doll slamming into the ground with a thud.
Julianna felt a stinging pain in her knee a small cut on her knee blood trickling down her leg.
"Julianna are you okay!" Nashi stumbled over to help Julianna up.
"Thank you, Nashi I'm okay"
"Help!" Cherry shrieked she was still beside Don who was being pecked at by a group of Bombirdiers"
Julianna sent out Wooper well Nashi sent out Dunsparce getting the Bombirdiers' attention.
The Bombirdiers flew forward beaks glowing as they attacked with Peck.
"Nokocchi! Hyper Voice!"
"Poison Sting!" the Hyper Voice and Poison Sting connected sending the Bombirdiers flying back. When the two storks recovered, they decided it wasn't worth fighting and flew off.
"Duck!"
"Bomb!" Julianna and Nashi dove to the ground avoiding swooping Bombirdiers talons. Cherry's Spritzee fired a Moonblast knocking out the Bombirdier.
"What's their problem?" Julianna yelled dodging another Bombirdier.
"They must be protecting the Titan one" Florian responded stumbling out of the grass with his Nacli knocking out a Bombirdier with Smack-Down.
"You two go will handle this" Cherry shouted sending out the rest of her Pokémon.
"No, we're not leaving you here!" Julianna shouted.
"No, no go I'm fine" Nashi insisted grabbing Julianna by the shoulder.
"But"
"All be fine" Nashi sent out his Sunkern and Yanma as his Dunsparce knocked out another Bombirdier with Pounce.
"Julianna come on if we stop the Titan Bombirdier the rest of them should scatter" Florian appeared riding Don.
Julianna reluctantly climbed onto Don. Florian and Julianna sped off toward a large hill where the Titan Bombirdier was last seen.
A barrage of large rocks came cascading down the hill and aimed at them.
"Florian look out!" Julianna screeched grabbing onto Don for dear life as the lizard skidded around the falling rocks.
"Why don't I try that Dash technique Professor Sonia mentioned earlier?"
"Go, Don! dash!" Florian whipped Don's handlebars. Don shot forward, dodging the rocks and making it to the top of the hill.
Don skidded to a halt panting heavily. The mouth of a cave sat at top of the hill a barrage of pockmarks lay across the surrounding area.
"Florian you need to stop driving Don like that it's dangerous!"
"What, it's fun zooming around like that" Florian responded returning Don to his Pokeball.
"You've already got us into an accident" Julianna pointed to a cut on Florian's arm.
"Oh come on that's not my fault that was the Bombirdiers' fault"
"Bomb-bird!" A loud screech cut through the air.
A massive shadow appeared overhead the Titan Bombirdier appeared overhead blocking out the sun with its wings.
"Bomb-bird!" The Titan Bombirdier swooped down with Pluck aimed at Florian.
Nacli Conseguirlos!" Florian sent out his Nacli to take the Pluck.
"Use Iron Defense!" Nacli's body glowed a metallic gray letting her easily take Pluck from Bombirdier.
"Quaxly Vamos! Aqua Jet!" Quaxly burst out of his Pokeball dashing into the Bombirdier with Aqua Jet.
"Bomb-Bard!" The titan screeched in outrage gray rocks circling it as it fired a Rock Slide at Quaxly and Nacli.
A sudden burst of icy projectiles hit Bombirdier in the wing knocking the giant bird off balance.
"Julianna! Florian!" Arven appeared at the top of the hill with his Shellder.
"So that's the Open Sky Titan?"
"Yes, and it's supper pissed off" Julianna replied ducking under a Wing Attack aimed at Nacli.
"Wait is this what's been dropping all those boulders?"
"No shit sherlock!" Florian yelled as his Nacli hit the Bombirdier in the face Headbutt.
"I was only able to sneak up here because it had all its attention on you two"
"Would you stop talking and help us!" Florian yelled as his Nacli was sent flying from Bombirdiers' Dark Pulse.
"Alright, alright Shellder use Chilling Water!" Shellder sprinkled icy cold water at Bombirdier sapping the strength from its feathers. The Bombirdier squawked in protest hitting Shellder square in the shell with Dark Pulse.
The Titan Bombirdier fired more Dark Pulse's knocking out Florian's Nacli who sent out Fuecoco in response.
Bombirdier fired another Dark Pulse at Quaxly.
"Wing Attack!" Quaxly tried to cut through the Dark Pulse with Wing Attack but was quickly overwhelmed sending him flying back.
"Shellder use Ice Shard!" Shellder fired another Ice Shard at Bombirdier. In response, Bombirdier smacked Shellder with Wing Attack sending her flying over the hill toward the ocean.
"Ugh, Shellder return!" Arven frantically yelled switching out Shellder for his Nacli.
"Water Gun!" Quaxly launched a Water Gun from his bill hitting Bombirdier in the back of the head.
Bombirdier screeched in outrage turning around to hit Quaxly with Dark Pulse.
The Dark Pulse hit Quaxly pushing him back.
Quaxly stood his ground taking the Dark Pulse.
Tulio suddenly stooped in his tracks absorbing the Dark Pulse. Tulio's body became enveloped in blue energy his eyes glowing bright red his legs, wings, and feathers began to grow.
Tulio was evolving.
"Quaxwell!" Tulio shook off the Dark Pulse revealing his new forum.
"de ninguna manera!" Julianna exclaimed. Tulio elegantly swept his hair back staring down the Bombirdier.
Bombirdier went for Pluck swooping forward at Quaxwell.
"It says you learned a new move Low Sweep!" Quaxwell flew forward in a para wet before striking Bombirdier in the chest with Low Sweep.
"Fuecoco use Incinerate!"
"Nacli use Rock Throw!"
Fuecoco launched a red and orange orb well Nacli threw a brown rock at Bombirdier who tried to dodge but was too slow from the Low Sweep.
"Fuecoco use Incinerate!"
"Nacli use Smack-Down!"
"Water Gun!"
The three attacks connected enveloping Bombirdier in a cloud of smoke.
When the smoke cleared the Titan Bombirdier was gone.
"All right we did it!" Arven cheered "Looks like Bombirdiers' days of dropping rocks on people are over?" Arven was cut off by a loud screech coming from the cave.
"Bomb-bard-bird!" the Titan Bombirdier flew out of the cave seemingly reinvigorating a bitter green aura surrounding its body.
"Bomb!" the Bombirdier screeched a bit of herb falling from its beak.
It had eaten one of the Herba Mystica.
Now they were in trouble.
"Ash there you are!" Chloe ran over to Ash with her Eevee.
"I got here as fast as I could" Ash landed his Dragonite and returned her to her Pokeball.
"I saw a bunch of Bombirdier over by the hill" In the sky, a large flock of Bombirdier could be seen swarming around something though Ash couldn't make out what they were attacking.
"Come on follow me" Ash yelled chasing after the Bombirdiers.
As Ash got closer he could see what the Bombirdiers were attacking. It was Iris's Dragonite and Emolga.
"Bomb!" multiple Bombirdier attacked Dragonite with Rock Slide.
"Dodge it!" Dragonite easily flew around the Rocks.
"Now use Ice Beam!" Dragonite fired a beam of icy energy knocking out multiple Bombirdier.
"Emolga, use Discharge!" Emolga fired off a wave of static blue electricity knocking out more Bombirdiers.
"Incoming!" two Bombirdier swooped down at Ash and Chloe.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
"Eevee use Copycat!" Pikachu went for Thunderbolt which Eevee copied with Copycat knocking out the two Bombirdier.
"Iris, how's it going?"
"Good I got this under control just a lot of Bombirdier"
"Have you seen the Titan Bombirdier?"
"No, I haven't been able to get near it since all of its minions won't leave me alone"
"Nigeru! Nigeru!" A kid ran out of the tall grass swinging a branch wildly at a flock of Bombirdier grabbing and pecking at his shirt.
"Gengar I choose you!" Ash sent out Gengar who grinned at the promise of a battle.
"Use Dazzling Gleam!" Gengar became surrounded by rainbow energy firing it outward and knocking out the Bombirdier.
"Arigatō San!" the boy dropped to his knees.
"Are you okay?" Ash asked in Jhotoan. The boy's shirt was torn apart cuts along his back and shoulders from the Bombirdiers, talons black hair ruffled, messy knees scraped, and dirty tears pricking his eyes.
"We tried to fight the Titan Bombirdier and there were too many I told Cherry to run. Julianna and Florian went to stop the Titan I don't know what happened to them"
"Wait went to stop the Titan?"
"Ya, Florian said it was at the top of that hill" he pointed to the hill overlooking the sea.
"Chloe take him back to Artazon"
"You got it, Ash"
Ash sent out his Dracovish and Dragonite leaving Dracovish to help Iris and Gengar well flying on Dragonite to find the titan Bombirdier.
High in the sky, with his Dragonite Ash had a bird's eye view of the surrounding coastline.
"On the hill surrounding the hills, Ash could see three students battling a giant Bombirdier.
"Dragonite down there!" Dragonite swooped down grabbing the Bombirdiers' attention.
"Bomb!" the Titan Bombirdier screeched a challenge.
"Dragonite were gonna stop this"
"Brrgh!" Dragonite issued a challenge in return.
Bombirdier attacked with Dark Pulse.
"Use Hurricane!" Dragonite released a powerful gust of wind from her wings overpowering the Bombirdiers, Dark Pulse.
The Titan Bombirdier flew high into the sky using Rock Slide.
"Dodge it!" Dragonite tried to dodge the Rock Slide but was struck down.
"Use Dragon Dance!" Dragonite's body became surrounded by orange energy spinning around several times to increase her attack and speed.
The Titan Bombirdier flew in with Wing Attack.
"Dragonite use Dragon Claw!" Dragonite's claw glowed bright green slamming into Bombirdier and knocking it back.
"Boom!" Bombirdier screeched flying towards Dragonite with Pluck.
"Dragonite catch it!"
"Brrgh!" Dragonite nodded catching the Bombirdier's beak in her hands.
"Now swing it and throw it around!"
With a grunt, Dragonite swung Bombirdier around by the beak throwing it towards the ocean.
"Now finish it off with Draco Meteor?" Dragonite fired a shower of purple meteors showing over Bombirdier knocking the Titan Pokémon out and sending it into the ocean.
"Awesome Dragonite!"
"Brrgh!" Dragonite wrapped Ash in a bear hug smothering him with affection.
"Santa mierda that was incredible" Florian gasped in amazement.
"Florian, Julianna what are you doing here?"
"We were just trying to stop the Titan Bombirdier" Julianna stuttered.
"You shouldn't be doing that it's incredibly dangerous that thing was seriously tough your friend back got seriously beaten up by those Bombirdier"
"What! what do you mean what happened?" Julianna yelled.
"He said he got overwhelmed by the Bombirdiers he told your other friend to run we found him swinging a stick at the Bombirdier"
"Is Nashi okay?"
"Ya he'll be fine he's going back to town to get his wounds looked at"
"Just don't go fighting Titans like that"
"Look don't punish Florian and Julianna it was all my idea" Arven confessed.
"I wanted to find the Herba Mystica it's what made that Bombirdier so big"
"Well, why do you want this Herba Mystica so much?"
Arven's face went pale eyes darting away from Ash as if he didn't want to tell him why he wanted this herb so much.
"Here let me show you follow me If we're lucky there'll be another herb in here"
"I knew it!" Arven yelled as if his sanity was hinging on finding the mint green herb growing on the cave wall.
"It really is here! This is one of the herbs, make no mistake!"
"Woo-hoo we did thanks little buds"
"Now let's see what the book has to say. Bitter Herba Mystica is great for your circulation! it really gets the blood flowing. And that warms you right up, nice and toasty even boosting the immune system"
"Or so it says" Arven seemed worried beads of sweat forming on his head.
"If I could just slip this into a tasty sandwich and get him to eat some" Arven quickly covered his mouth he wasn't supposed to say that.
"Well, what are you two waiting for it's time to dig in" Arven cheerfully announced his voice almost forcefully sweet it made Ash feel off.
Ash sat quietly as Arven pulled out his cooking supply and began to cook for Julianna and Florian Ash declined his offer since he had already eaten at the school.
Watching Arven cook reminded Ash of his journeys with Brock and Cilan and how they managed to keep all of that cooking stuff in their marry Poppins bags. In reality that was only a few years ago but so much had happened in his life since then it felt like forever ago.
"And bobs your uncle" Arven announced as the sandwiches finished cooking.
"There you go my whimsical herb-filled sandwich and it comes with a side of titan badge" Arven handed Julianna and Florian a homemade badge with the flying type symbol on it.
"Wait you guys have done this before?"
"Ya we beat a Titan Klawf earlier to get the sweet Herba Mystica" Julianna responded biting into her sandwich and grimacing at the bitterness.
"Agias"
Without warning Don burst out of his Pokeball licking his lips at the sight of the food.
"Oh come on not you again!" Arven clenched his fist in anger.
"It's fine Arven he can have some of mine" Florian insisted.
"Gias" Don turned his head and bowed to Arven.
"Hm is it trying to say thanks or something" Arven scoffed "Well good thing I made extra" Arven handed another Sandwich to Don It vanished in half a second.
"Just to be clear I made this because you two have been helping me so much It absolutely wasn't so Koraidon could have a sandwich OK"
"Agias!" Don got up on his hind legs, and energy surged through his body.
"Wow, what was that?" Ash asked.
"It just grew stronger again he does that when he eats a sandwich" Florian explained.
"Wow Arven you must be a really good cook then"
"Oh, thank you but I think it's the Herba Mystica it really packs a punch"
"I mean it better or else I'm really up the creek" Arven began pacing back and forth sweat rolling down his forehead.
Don walked over to Arven's sandwich and sniffed it.
"Don't you dear touch that! that isn't for you!" Arven screamed Don yelped and scurried behind Julianna with his tail between his legs.
"Yeesh Arven calm down there's no need to yell at him like that"
Arven just stood there hands clenched into tight fists nails digging into his hands.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have shouted like that," Arven said meekly all of the anger in his voice gone replaced with a glazed tired tone.
"I guess I should tell you guys the full story" Arven choked, tears rolling down his face.
"Come on out bud" Arven rolled a Pokeball to the floor a Mabosstiff popped out laying on the floor in a lump of fur.
"Here you go, bud. Eat up. This sandwich should help you feel better" Arven held out his half of the sandwich. Practically putting it in his jaws. Mabosstiff chewed slowly like it was a great effort.
"That's it bud nice and slow take nice and small bits" Arven cooed stroking Mabosstiff's fur.
"Sorry if it's rude but can I ask what happened!" Florian asked.
"My buddy was hurt badly a while ago" Arven sighed "Really bad in fact. He never really recovered"
"Potions and Pokémon centers didn't work?" Ash asked curiously.
"No I tried but they said it's a severe injury"
"Mabosstiff is the only thing I care about the only thing" Arven sobbed baring his head into the dog's main. "So I promised I'll make him better whatever it takes" Ash could feel his heart shatter. He remembered the pain of releasing some of his old Pokémon into the wild.
But the difference was that Butterfree, Naganadel, Goodra, and others still lived in the wild. Ash couldn't imagine losing a Pokémon.
It also made him wonder what happened in Arven's home life that his Pokémon was "the only person he cared about"
"I've looked online I've tried everything I could nothing helped. I had almost given up hope but that's when I found out about the Herba Mystica"
"Case in point before the Herba Mystica Mabosstiff's paws were ice cold but since he ate the sandwich his paws are warmed up again"
"Oh, you done eating bud?"
With Heavy breath, Mabosstiff raised his head blinking his eyes open.
"H-hey Mabosstiff Can... can you see me? Are your eyes open!"
"Yes, I did it!" Arven yelled in delight stroking Mabosstiff 's fur.
"It's been so long since he was able to open his eyes. I was so worried. Oh, I'm, oh I'm so, oh I'm so glad!" Arven sobbed Mabosstiff gave a little whine to comfort him.
Ash realized how serious this was Mabosstiff wasn't just hurt badly he was almost at death's door.
"Those fiery orange eyes" Arven smiled hard to tell that there open at all but I know the difference!"
"I'm gonna bring Mabosstiff back to full health I swear of it"
"I know you want to help your partner but you shouldn't go around fighting dangerous Titan Pokémon it's not worth getting hurt over"
"I know that it's stupid but this is the only way to get any of the Herba Mystica. It's what makes the Titan Pokémon so big it gives them power over others of their species so they don't want to give them up without the fight"
"Why don't you contact me if you find another one of these Titan Pokémon? No offense but I'm a bit more qualified to handle things like this"
"Oh, no Mr. Ketchum I'm sure you're a very busy person we can handle this"
"I'm not saying you can't handle this but I don't want you guys getting hurt"
"I swear it's not a big deal there's only three more Herba Mystica to find"
"And that's three more chances for you to get seriously hurt"
"Come on Arven just give Ash a chance" Florian insisted.
"Ya, you heard what happened to Nashi I don't want me or my friends getting hurt"
"Okay fine if that's what my two little buddies want then I'll contact you when I find the next Titan Pokémon"

Sorry, this took so long that's just me procrastinating again. I should get to write more since spring break started here don't ask me why it's so early.
Anyway, the two stories finally intersect. I've had a few people ask me about that and it does feel like 2 separate stories that's 100 percent my fault I hope to fix that.
The next chapter is more character focused before moving on to Levincia so stay tuned.
