Cherry Soda-And it'll be the last time I get to see you guys before I'm off to Couriway for the next contest.

Important training attempt number two.
With the first Grate Ball rank contest coming up in Couriway he wanted El Macho to make a big debut and to do that he needed Tauros to listen to him.
Especially with this being his first contest in another region he needed this to go well.
His parents were already apprehensive about letting him go to Kalos on his own, he already had to sit through his father's endless lectures about staying safe and him bringing out a Pokémon they didn't know he owned would no doubt land him in hot water. If it went on a rampage during the contest then he could kiss his contest career goodbye.
Time to try to get Tauros to listen to him the only way he knew how to fight him.
But he wasn't going to just throw his team to get beat up again this time he had to tire it out first.
So it was time for Florian to reenact his little Matador performance from when he first caught Tauros.
So when he sent Tauros out of the Pokeball he was expecting him to immediately charge him.
Florian was ready and jumped out of the way.
"Recordar quien es su entrenador" Florian taunted, He needed to make sure Tauros knew what the power dynamic was here.
Tauros charged at him again this time using Flame Charge to gain extra speed.
Florian couldn't dodge the hit so he did the only thing he could think of, he returned Tauros to his Pokeball before sending him out again.
"You're a powerful Pokémon but I'm the one who has the control here" Florian hoped that Tauros got the message that he was in control because his legs violently shaking certainly didn't give off that vibe.
Florian wasn't about to take any other risk with Tauros and sent out the rest of his Team to battle it.
But before anything could heat up Florian's phone started ringing.
"A call from Julianna what could she want?"
"Hola?"
"Hola Florian are you doing anything important"
"No just training for my next contest"
Florian could tell she was going to ask him to go somewhere so might as well try to have fun.
"So you're saying that the Titan Orthworm should be near here?"
"Yes based on these photos the Orthworm should be living around here" Arven skimmed through the photos of Orthworm.
"Since Orthworm likes to burrow we should go looking for those an Orthworm that big will leave obvious signs of inhabitance"
The group split up to cover more ground leaving Julianna on her own.
Thankfully Orthworms ate soil, not meat otherwise Julianna would be a lot more scared about being in the desert on her own. Orthworm just didn't command the same fear factor that Klawf and Bombirdier had.
It made those giant holes in the ground less intimidating knowing that something so goofy was making them.
"Hey guys your gonna want to see this" Nashi yelled.
Sure enough, Nashi had found the Titan Orthworm, at least the back side of it anyways.
"Well, we found it now how do we get it out of its burrow?"
"Like this" Florian kicked the Orthworms tail "Ey venir luchar tu gusano!"
"Orrrrwwww!" The Titan Orthworm moaned in anger unburrowing itself to face its attackers.
"Well great going, Florian now it's pissed off" Cherry yelled sending out her Fletchinder.
"Well, I don't know what you wanted me to do. It was going to be mad no matter what we did" Florian sent out Crocalor for a super effective matchup.
"Less talking more battling!" Julianna snapped jumping over an Iron Tail.
Julianna elected to use Charcadet sense Eartheater meant Clodsire was useless against it.
Arven sent out Toedscool and Nashi sent out Sunflora meaning the battle was on.
Orthworm dove underground with Dig.
"Everybody listen for it coming up" Julianna ordered. The vibrations gave away Orthworms position letting everybody dodge its Dig.
Once Orthworm was up everybody attacked with Incinerate, Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Giga Drain, and Grass Knot.
Orthworm slammed its tail into the sand whipping up a Sandstorm obscuring Julianna's vision.
With the veil of sand obscuring it Orthworm went for another Iron Tail sweeping the five Pokémon aside easily.
"Fletchinder use Sunny Day!" Fletchinder released a burst of light clearing the air of sand.
The harsh sunlight powered up the Charcadet and Crocalor's fire attacks dealing massive damage with Incinerate and Fire Spin.
In a groan of anger, Orthworm charged forward with an Iron Head Sunflora who was able to dodge it as the sun had activated its Chlorophyll. Sunflora fired a Leech seed draining more of Orthworm's health well Toedscool launched a Supersonic confusing the Orthworm.
Orthworm tunneled underground with Dig dodging another barrage of attacks. But this time the Orthworm didn't resurface.
Orthworm exploded out of the ground a gray aura enveloping its body.
"Looks like it's just eaten the Herba Mystica once we defeat it we can get access to it!" Arven shouted.
Out of nowhere, a Tauros plowed through Sunflora and Crocolar tackling the Orthworm with Flame Charge.
"Hey, hey Tauros get back here!" Florian yelled sending the Tauros back to its Pokeball.
Orthworm used the distraction to slam everybody away with Iron Tail.
"Since when did you get a Tauros!" Julianna yelled in disbelief.
"I just got that" Tauros pooped out of its Pokeball again bowling past Crocalor and Double Kicking Orthworm.
"Sorry about that it's still not listening to me"
"Ya I can see that but where did it come from?"
"Well you remember when those Tauros got out during the festival"
Julianna just looked at him in disbelief. Florian of all people had caught a Tauros during that chaos how? She didn't even know that Florian was in Levincia when that happened. She knew Florian had other friends but for as long as she knew him he didn't seem like the type to go out in such a big public gathering.
"Julianna, look out!" Cherry shouted, but Julianna didn't see the Orthworm's Iron Tail coming her way.
Julianna was slammed in the gut by Orthworm and she went tumbling through the sand.
"Julianna, are you okay!" Arven pulled Julianna out of the sand.
"Is everything okay, are you hurt?" Julianna shakes her head.
She tried to tell him everything was fine but her chest spasmed and all that came was a wheeze.
"Hey, hey just breath you're probably winded" Arven helped Julianna sit up.
"Char? char Charcadet ran over to Julianna.
"Oh... don't worry... Charcadet I'm fine" Julianna reassured once her breath came back ...go fight Orthworm... for me"
Charcadet ran back to help Fletchinder and Sunflora hitting attacking with another Fire Spin that Orthworm deflected with Iron Tail.
As she cleared the sand from her eyes Julianna thought about how the Charcadet who used to not listen to a word she said was worried enough to drop a battle to check on her.
Clearly, she was doing something right as a trainer. Which she couldn't say about Florian.
His Tauros was still going on a rampage slamming around Crocalor to ram into Ortworm with Double Kick, Orthworm responded with an Iron Head sending Tauros flying back.
Cherry and Nashi were arguing with him well trying to dodge the Orthworm's attacks.
Orthworm went for another Dig avoiding a Solar Beam and Grass Knot.
Without its target, Tauros started thrashing about barreling towards Toedscool and Fletchinder.
"Alright, that's enough!" Florian yelled sending him back to his Pokeball holding down the button to stop it from coming out.
"Alright, I've got a plan" Julianna announced "Florian send out your Smoliv Nashi send out your Dunsparce"
After Orthworm resurfaced with Dig Florian and Nashi did as they were told.
"Nashi have Dunsparce use Glare Arven have Toedscool use Supersonic" After dodging an Iron Head the Glare and Supersonic paralyzed and confused Orthworm stopping it from moving.
"Cherry, have Fletchinder use another Sunny Day" Well Orthworm was stunned Fletchinder used Sunny Day to brighten up the sky.
"Florian, have Smoliv use Helping Hand on Charcadet then everyone, return your Pokémon" Once Smoliv used Helping Hand everyone did return their Pokémon leaving just a boosted Charcadet to face Orthworm.
"Lave Plume!" Charcadet fired an ultra charged Lava Plume boosted by the Helping Hand and Sunny Day Orthworm was powerless to stop it with its lowered speed.
The Orthworm went down in a ball of flames and smoke burrowing back into the ground to lick its wounds leaving the Herba Mystica open for them to take.
"Wow Julianna that strategy of yours was pretty cool" Nashi gushed.
"Ya, how did you know that would work?" Cherry asked.
"With all of the boosts it had it was the smartest decision on how to knock it out"
"Yes, it was very good thinking in the heat of the moment. Especially with a cerian wild bull messing up our plan" Arven remarked.
"Well, it's not my fault the thing wants to battle all the time" Florian gawked defensively.
"Since your its trainer it is your fault" Julianna replied.
"If you need any help with training him I could help" Nashi othered.
"No, I'm fine I just need to show it I'm stronger than him then this will be behind me"
Julianna tried to ignore the implications behind Florian's idea of how to gain authority over his Pokémon when Arven started to explain what the Salty Herba Mystica did.
"Well, apparently Salty Herba Mystica helps with aching hands and feet. Good for neuropathy and when you've got muscle weakness, it supposedly builds up strength again!"
"Alright let's get cooking"
Everybody sat in silence well Arven cooked the knowledge of Mabosstiff hanging over their heads.
"Here, ya go another favorite ol' Arven sandwich complete with a special Titan Badge to boot" Arven handed all four of them a Steel Badge.
"The Pokémon Leauge might not recognize them but I hope you appreciate them all the same"
"I defiantly do" Nashi smiled placing it in a case with the other Titan badges next to his four actual league badges.
When they started eating Don burst out of his Pokeball.
Arven immediately got up and glared at Koraidon like he was a dog that scratched up a coach.
"Figured this would happen. Don't worry I made some extra for that brute of yours" Arven scoffed.
Don sniffed at Julianna's sandwich big yellow eyes looking up expectantly.
Julianna happily gave half to Don who scarfed it down immediately. Her abdomen was still off from Orthworm's tail.
"Come out Mabostiff have some too" The cave suddenly felt 10 degrees colder when Mabosstiff rolled out of his Pokeball.
"That's it. Sm...small bites, small bites..." Arven was immediately in tears at the sight of his partner.
The somber mood was interpreted when Don leaped to his feet an aura appearing around his body.
"C'mon! At least bother to taste it before you swallow it right down!" Arven yelled. "Agia!" Don only replied with a goofy smile.
"This brute seems to be benefiting from the herbs to I guess-in its own sort of way"
"Oh ya! 'Fore I forgot guys take a look at this. There's always a Titan Pokémon near the Herba Mystica when we find em' right? Like the book says it's not like this big ol' Pokémon just happens to like these herbs. It's something in the herbs that are making these Titan Pokémon so big and strong. So does that mean these caves aren't some sort of lair or hoard just a pantry where the Titan Pokémon keep their food?"
"Ya, I guess you could call it that" Cherry responded, Julianna just found it a weird analogy.
Arvens attention was brought back to Mabosstiff as the dog began to steer.
"Oh, you all done with your sandwich Mabosstiff?"
Mabosstiff lifted its head off the ground and let out a low bark.
"You...you all heard that right he just woofed! Right!" Arven was right back on the verge of tears.
"Yes..yes we did" Nashi stuttered.
"Right? I'm not just imagining things right!"
Mabosstiff raised his head again letting out another bark.
"See! See that! I knew I wasn't just hearing things!" that broke Julianna's heart. How many times had Arven gotten his hopes up only to have his heart shattered?
"Oh, Mabosstiff! Who's my best bud, huh? Who's the best of boy? You are, yes, you are!" Arven buried his face into Mabosstiff's fur and began to bawl like a child.
"It's...it's been so long since I heard you woof"
Mabosstiff is really getting better thank you guys show much. Ever since I teamed up with you guys good things have been happening"
"But there are still 2 more herbs to go through. So I hope you guys stick it through until we're done?"
And something about that broke Julianna.
"Arven" Julianna took one of Arven's hands Arven lifted his head up from Mabosstiff's fur to face Julianna.
"Why would we have come all this way just to give up now? I promise you for your sake and Mabosstiff's sake we will defeat the Titan Pokémon and we will find the rest of the herbs and I promise you that right guy's?"
"Absolutely" Cherry responded.
"Definitely" Nashi replied.
"Yup," Florian added I bit put off by the sudden emotions.
"Julianna, are you crying?" Arven asked. Julianna didn't realize that she had been crying but the wet trails running down her cheek confirmed that she was.
"Yes sorry if that's weird" Julianna laughed.
"No..no I'm just not used to people caring this much about me"
Julianna tried not to think about that entirely different can of worms she just wanted to go back to her dorm now.
Once Julianna was back in her dorm she got a call from Professor Sada.
It was a fairly standard call just telling her about how Koraidon could jump higher and reminding her to take good care of him.
Something still felt off about the conversation.
She was Arvens mother and those words that Arven said to her.
"I'm just not used to people caring this much about me"
If that was true that meant something that Julianna didn't want to think about right now.
That would explain his bond with Mabosstiff, which was a bond deeper than a standard bond between a trainer and Pokémon. It was more like a parent and child.
And why did she let her emotions spill like that in front of him?
She wasn't like Florian who kept most of his emotions aside from anger close to himself but she still wasn't one to break down like that.
Her mother did have a habit of crying when she had too much wine so maybe she also cried when in emotional situations.
Maybe she was still a bit out of it from the blow to her abdomen she could still feel the pain in her abdomen from that Iron Tail.
Anyway, that wasn't important right now her battle she had planned with Nemona was coming up right now that was more important.

Not many notes to add to the end of this one just another Titan in the books thankfully the Titans and Team Star bosses get a little more spaced out after the fourth gym so the story will be able to move a bit faster.
