Happy hollers echoed in the staircase, with a certain happy Sorcerer going up to it. Holding a small bag to himself, Cedric couldn't help but smile and be excited to finally reach the workshop

"Worldstar!" A Cedric hollered as he opened the door of the workshop revealing the homely and nostalgic scent of his workshop. It had just been two days and it felt like a year to him.

Suddenly, his seat spun around to reveal a certain girl sitting in it. She had a smile on her face as she saw him

"Mr. Ceedric!"

"Hello Princess Sofia!" Cedric laid his bag on the table to reach out for Sofia and do a little dance with her

The Princess couldn't help but giggle of happiness with this. Cedric looked very happy… and with this, she was very happy too

"Welcome back~" she hummed softly

"I have lots of stories to tell you" he blurted in excitement

"How was Hexley Hall?"

"Meh, still the same… but the thingamabobs was quite interesting" he proceeded to open up the bag

"What'da got there?" Sofia slowly peeked at the bag he was opening

"Just some souvenirs for some people" he reached out for something inside

Sofia bit her lip "Is that so…"

Fidgeting her fingers behind her back, she wanted to act nonchalant and subtle to Cedric, when her eyes are all over the gifts that he was talking about

"Here's for Ma and Pa" Cedric pulled out the Pegasus feathers and the pixie dust for his parents – Winifred and Goodwyn

"That looks wonderful!" Sofia hollered seeing the ingredients strewn on the table "Ingredients for a potion?"

"Not really. They just like collecting magic stuffs" Cedric stated as he pulled out a comb from the bag "Now this one however… is definitely not an ingredient"

Sofia's eyes glowed at the sight of the sparkling comb that she assumed was enchanted of some sort. It absolutely piqued her interest

"Why, thank you, Mr. Cee–"

"It's for Cordelia" Cedric uttered which cut Sofia off immediately "She's been complaining about not finding the right comb for her new long hair, now she won't have to worry about that"

"Oh… I see.." Sofia snickered a goofy titter

It wasn't for her.

Her luck still hasn't ran out however when he pulled out the last remaining thing in that bag. It was a nice sky blue bracelet that resembled the sky

She absolutely adored it.

"It looks absolutely lovely, Mr. Ceedric" she eagerly accepted it with an amazed look on her face

"Do you like it?" Cedric asked

"I love it~" Sofia gave her a look of gratitude

She was about to lean for an embrace… when suddenly

"It's for Callista."

Sofia paused in bewilderment "oh.."

"She specifically requested it last week, well… might as well get her one."

"oh… I-I see…" Sofia couldn't help the look on her eyes despite her fake smile. Hesitantly, she gave the bracelet back to Cedric

Cedric noticed this "Are you okay, Sofia?"

Sofia forced a smile "Of course!" she was hoping it wasn't obvious "I'm fit as a fiddle…"

His tone at the end was more passive. She was feeling bitter inside. Perhaps, she really wanted to receive a souvenir from him also.

And with this, Sofia gathered up his composure and regained herself. She didn't want to make Cedric guilty for not giving her one, him reaching home safely is enough for her

"I-I uhh…" Sofia was looking away and avoiding his gaze "I have to go do stuffs now, Mr. Ceedric"

She slowly held his arm with a nod "Welcome home again, see you later" Sofia forced another smile. She hoped she did a good job on hiding her true emotions, because it was sadness inside of her.

Sofia felt bitter as she turned away and left the workshop. It turns out she really wanted to receive one from Cedric. Not because of materialistic reasons… he could laterally give her anything and she would accept it with pure joy and gratefulness. That's how much it meant to her.

It was the thought that counts, and knowing her favorite Sorcerer thought of her to give her anything while he was away would've been a great feeling inside of Sofia

She wished she was also special to him in that way..

But perhaps, she just wasn't. As Sofia thought of this, a certain gloomy feeling came to her and her lips turned to a frown

Upon reaching her room, she didn't hesitate to close the door and just lock herself out from everything. She wanted to be alone. She was in a sour mood

But as she was about to cry on her bed, a certain wrapped gift with a note on top caught her eye

Without hesitation, Sofia went to it to inspect

Sofia the Squirt

I wanted to see your bitter and sad face for a change so I decided to pull this small prank. I hope you like what I brought for you

PS: I sincerely hope we can talk this out and you won't kill me by the time you read this note.

-The coolest Sorcerer in History

Sofia giggled sweetly as she wiped her tears. As she opened it, a certain snow globe came to her sight which had sparkling snowflakes all over. The girl couldn't help but smile with this. It was absolutely wonderful

She always wanted one, and Cedric got it for her. And to think he actually knew what she wanted makes her feel joy even more

Jovially, Sofia sniffled and wiped a tear from her eyes. She then fell to her bed and embraced her gift wondering what kind of teasing punishment she oughta give her Sorcerer later.

Perhaps her bringing up his fascination about cats or the cake incident.

Regardless, Sofia is happy with what she received. Not only because she always wanted a magical snow globe…

But because Sofia is sure now that she really is indeed special to her Mr. Ceedric~
