Chapter 20 (Summer Special)
*Willow Powell vs Scarlette*
Docked at the shore of the beach, there rested a red and black speedboat usually meant for tours on the water. There was an indoor sailor's quarter, a canopy on the back. Inside of the canopy was Willow Powell (wearing a pink bikini with sparkles) and Scarlette (who wore a mask that connects to a one-piece swimsuit). Sayuri Rogue stood behind the boat.
"This match is called Queen of the Beach. Willow, Scarlette, your task is to be the first to enter the bridge and sound the horn while this ship is circling around the gulf. First to do that is the winner. However, if the boat reaches back here before then, this match will be considered no contest. Are you two ready?" They both nodded. "Then… GO!"
And with that, the boat motored away from the beach. Willow quickly made the first move by slapping Scarlette with a backhand. Scarlette rubbed her face in response to it.
"If you know what's good for you, let me win." Willow said. "Otherwise, you'll get a lot worse zan zat slap."
The former actress turned to the door, but before she could, Scarlette grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor.
"Don't just assume I'll give up because you told me to." Scarlette said.
"Your funeral, ugly."
Willow swung her foot up aimed at Scarlette's crotch, but the red-masked woman saw it coming, took a step back, and grabbed the foot. She then dropped her elbow on its knee making Willow grunt in pain. She got up and dropped her elbow again.
Scarlette released the leg and turned to the door. But that's when Willow sent a kick to the back of Scarlette's knee. The red-masked wrestler knelt down and Willow locked in a sleeperhold.
"Ze only one winning zis match is moi, cow!" Willow slammed Scarlette backward and dropped a knee on her chest. She kicked her head like a soccer ball and spit on her.
Willow opened the door and proceeded to walk in. It was a short hallway from there to the captain's deck. She started to walk when Scarlette attacked from behind. They grappled each other hitting one wall after another. Then, they went into a room, but not the one they were looking for. The two of them had fallen in a bathroom.
Willow gained the advantage and prepared to dunk Scarlette's head in the toilet, but the masked wrestler powered through it and grabbed the sides of the seat to keep her up. Scarlette then shot an elbow to the former actress' gut. When Willow let go, Scarlett grabbed her head and threw her into the bathtub. She gave her one last kick before turning around and leaving the room.
Scarlette made it to the end of the hallway and found the sailing bridge. She saw the cord and went on over, but just as it was within reach, Scarlette was grabbed from behind by Willow, who gripped the back of her mask with one hand and had a handful of liquid soap in the other. She swung her hand and smacked it across Scarlette's eyes. Once the soap made contact, Scarlette screamed as she was nearly blinded.
Willow smirked and reached out to pull the cord, but Scarlette pulled her away from it. Though she was still blinded, she manged to get Willow Powell to the ground and lock her in a body-scissor/dragon sleeper combo. They rolled around for control for a few minutes. That's when a loud booming alarm made them stop. They felt that the boat had stopped too.
Sayuri Rogue was standing on the beach right in front of the docked ship. "So close. But it appears that now, the match between Scarlette and Willow Powell has to be declared a no-contest. Neither of them could sound the horn before the ship returned. Apologies to the both of you." Both wrestlers were most certainly disappointed. "Now, onto the next match…"
*Queen Bee and Kaito Marx vs Jasper Jones and Carly X*
Queen Bee, Kaito Marx, Jasper Jones, and Carly X were standing in a ring that's just about bigger than a normal one. Queen Bee (wearing a yellow bikini with black outlines) stood in one corner with her boyfriend (who wore his mask along with a bright-blue pair of trunks) while Jasper (wearing a metal bikini) and Carly (in a tiger-print bikini) stood in the other. Behind each pair was a watermelon. Sayuri Rogue came in with a kendo stick.
"This match is an homage to the Japanese game, suikawari, where people would bash a watermelon into pieces. Each team has a watermelon they have to defend. Whichever team can bash the other's watermelon first wins. This kendo stick will be your only weapon as it must be used to smash a melon." She places the stick in the middle of the ring.
"This isn't exactly how I imagined our time at the beach." Kaito said nervously. "So what now?"
"Calm down, Kaito." Queen Bee said. "Given who they're facing, the obvious plan they'll come up with is…"
"You handle Kaito while I take Queen Bee." Jasper whispered to the Stylish Tiger. "I equal her in strength and you can certainly take him."
"And after I immobilize him enough, I'll take the kendo stick and destroy their melon." Carly said. "It's not exactly Mission Impossible."
"Are both teams ready?" Sayuri asked as she exited the ring. All four competitors nodded. "Then let's begin!"
DING-DING!
Jasper and Bee started by charging at each other. They collided and traded blows to each other's backs. While they did that, Carly X sent a kick to Kaito's head. While he was down, Carly grabbed his legs and placed him in a figure-four leglock. He yelled as the hold tightened.
"Sorry to do this to you, Marx," Carly said, "But I gotta win." She pulled tighter.
Jasper spun herself around Queen Bee and wrapped her arms around her in a reverse bearhug. That gave Queen Bee the chance to see her boyfriend in trouble.
"Marx, the stick!" she yelled.
Kaito looked around and saw what she was talking about. He gripped the handle of the kendo sword next to him and swatted it at Carly, who immediately let go in response. His legs hurt a lot, but he still stood on his own two feet still gripping the kendo sword.
"Well, this is a good feeling." Kaito said. "Take this!"
Kaito swung the sword at Carly, but she managed to raise her arm and wrap it around the sword as it made contact with her ribs. He tried to pry it off, but Carly had the grip tight.
"You want me to take it? Okay." Carly sent a kick to Kaito's chest making him let go. Carly then used the stick to smack Kaito on the head and dropping him. She then ran towards the other team's watermelon.
"No!" Queen Bee exclaimed.
Bee slipped out of Jasper's grip, picked her up in a fireman's carry, and tossed her to her partner. Jasper collided with Carly pushed her to the ropes. The impact made her drop the sword outside of the ring into the sand. Queen Bee then sent an elbow slam on Jasper pressing Carly further on the ropes. Queen Bee grabbed the ropes and pulled them making the two of them fall to the mat.
Queen Bee walked outside of the ring and reached down to pick up the stick. When she picked it up, Carly X had already jumped out of the ring landing right on the ace. Jasper followed.
Jasper pulled Queen Bee up to her feet and held her arms back when Carly picked up the bamboo sword and hit the ace in the stomach. Queen Bee yelled upon impact. Carly X hit her again before looking up at her partner.
"Keep her here while I finish the job."
"Got it." Jasper said. She spun Queen Bee around and applied a bearhug making her gasp.
Carly X turned around, but stopped when Kaito Marx stood in her way.
"Carly, if you want to get back in that ring, you'll have to get through me."
"Okay." Carly winded up her arms to swing the sword. "I'm happy to bash another melon."
She swung the kendo stick, but out of instinct, Kaito ducked down out of the way. The momentum from the missed swing made her lose balance, which Kaito then used to his advantage. He tripped her over and took the kendo stick. He ran over to Jasper and hit her in the back with it making her let go of Queen Bee.
"Good thinking." Queen Bee said recovering from the hug.
"Thanks. Look out!"
Kaito dropped the stick and pushed Queen Bee out of the way of Jasper's tackle. He got tackled instead. Queen Bee picked up the kendo stick and proceeded to get back in the ring. Carly X stood in her way, but Queen Bee swung it to her legs making her fall over. Jasper tried to get up after her, but Kaito grabbed her legs and refused to let go. Queen Bee made it back into the ring and went to where she knew the other team's watermelon was. She raised the sword up and sent it straight on top of it.
SPLATT!
DING-DING!
Everyone calmed down and stopped struggling when the bell rang. Sayuri Rogue appeared next to the ring while everyone got back up.
"Now, that was a good one! Jasper and Carly had a good plan at first, but in the end, Queen Bee and Kaito Marx had better teamwork. Onto the next match…"
*Liza Surkova vs Mercy*
Sayuri Rogue traveled to a large area on the beach. It was set up with blankets and umbrellas and bottled lotion and sunscreen. In the middle of the are, the Russian MMA fighter, Liza Surkova (who wore her usual MMA gear) and Mercy (wearing a pair of swim trunks underneath her green tanktop) stood in front of each other staring at each other's eyes. The ocean waved in just a dozen yards away from them. Sayuri stood in between them.
"Now, I know this will be a brutal match, especially given these two's aggressiveness. Liza and Mercy will slug it out in this no-holds-barred brawl on this beach. Anything goes. The only way to win is to make sure your opponent gets dunked completely into the ocean. Any objections?"
"My only objection is that you set me against this maggot." Mercy said. "I want areal opponent, not some MMA dropout."
"This coming from a bitch who was thrown out of the army." Liza returned. "Last time I checked, I was a contender for the championship."
"Which you lost to a plus-sized tub of lard!"
"Okay, ladies." Sayuri interrupted. "Save it for the bell. Good luck." She walked away letting the two go at it.
DING-DING!
Liza and Mercy began with a test of strength. It looked just about even until Liza send a knee up to Mercy's gut. She held her in a guillotine hold and continued to send knee-strikes to Mercy's stomach. Mercy stopped the assault by sending a punch straightto Liza's knee. As soon as she let go, Mercy sent a strong enough punch to knock Liza to the ground.
Mercy got on Liza's stomach hitting her rips with elbow strikes. After a few of them, she added insult to injury by doing push-ups on her back. She then locked onto Liza's arm for a cross-arm breaker.
"You call this a fight?" Mercy asked. "Pig, I might as well be fighting the privates at my old camp. Those wimps couldn't wrestle if their lives depended on it."
Enraged, Liza made Mercy let go by scooping up a handful of sand and throwing them straight at her face temporarily blinding her. Liza grabbed Mercy by her tied-back hair and continuously sent punches to her stomach. She dragged her across the beach toward the sea, but Mercy broke out of it hitting the MMA fighter with a strong kick.
Liza fell back and landed on a beach blanket getting an idea. She picked up the blanket and went to the water. Her feet were submerged, but she wasn't entirely in the water, so she was still in the game. She dipped the towel in the water completely soaking it. She removed it and went back to Liza who was finally getting back up.
Mercy rolled up the towel and sent it straight at Liza's back like a whip. The wet towel made a horrid sound as it stung. She swatted at Liza's back again actually making her scream.
"Oh, did that hurt?" Mercy mocked as she walked right behind her opponent. "As much as I love to hear screaming, yours is like nails on a chalkboard. So let's shut you up!"
Mercy wrapped the wet towel right around Liza's throat and tugged it tight. The MMA wrestler chocked as she struggled trying to escape.
"What was that?" Mercy laughed. "I can't seem to hear you!"
Liza fell crouching down on her hands and knees as she felt the towel get tighter and tighter. She was dragged to the wet sand at the shore. She opened her eyes for a second and noticed something that she realized would give her the edge. She was careful not to touch the tangling parts and gripped the top. That's when she used a whole lot of her might to throw the jellyfish from the water to Mercy's face.
"AAAAAHHHHH!" the army girl yelled as she released the towel and tried to remove the jellyfish.
Liza coughed before turning back to Mercy. She charged at her after she was free from the jellyfish and lifted her in a fireman's carry. She ran straight to the ocean and dropped her in a powerbomb. Once the splash was done, it was clear to everyone who was watching that Mercy was the one submerged in the water while Liza Surkova sat victorious.
DING-DING!
While the medics went to take care of Liza and Mercy, Sayuri Rogue walked to where the fight began and clapped.
"What a brawl! If you think that was a showdown, wait until we get to the last three, coming up next!" She then proceeded to move on.
Author's Note: That's six down. Just three more to go. Conclusion of the summer special is up next, along with someone who I believe to be the MVP.
