Author's Note: So after a lot of creative thinking, I have come up with a way to incorporate the Bobby Daniels chapter into this fanfic, but it will involve a LOT of differences. I hope you like this.

Also, a big shout-out to the Deviantart artist, Framraw, for his latest work on the Ghost, the Trickster, and Molly McGee. his latest art piece on it looked just like a promo poster, which is amazing.

So anyway, after this, we're moving on to the mayor episode, which admittedly will also have a big difference from the original source material.

The song featured here is a parody of "Love Led Us Here" from Muppet Treasure Island.

Enjoy the chapter. any and all comments are welcome.

"News from the front! As the HYDRA war machine expands its reach, one by one, the nations of Europe fall under its shadow. None so far have withstood the onslaught, but Allied soldiers from across the globe stand together, and as the world goes to war, we recount the tale of Steve Rogers, the man who would become Captain America. Although young Rogers was too frail for combat, his fighting spirit wouldn't give up. He volunteered for a secret military experiment, and with the help of the country's finest scientists, was transformed into the world's first super soldier. Now, he fights alongside the Allies as a symbol of freedom and liberty for all the world. Even now, Cap is leading the charge against the dreaded Red Skull and his HYDRA forces. Good luck, Captain America, wherever you are."

Molly McGee had her eyes glued to the film projector that played in the room. Once it was over, Peggy Carter turned it off while Patty turned the lights back on brightening the senior center. Loki and Scratch meanwhile watched from behind the happy girl.

"Wow! That was awesome!" Molly cheered.

"These mortals really like putting people on pedestals, don't they?" Loki asked.

"Do you have any more, Peggy?" Molly asked.

"Sadly, no." Peggy said staring at the film role she held in her hand. "This was the last film made before Steve vanished in 1945. They made a memoriam film for him, but I don't dare take it out of my room."

"Oh. Sorry." Molly apologized.

"It's all right." Peggy said giving a gentle smile.

"Yeesh. Guess she hasn't moved on after 70 years." Scratch commented.

"So… anything you can tell me about him?" Molly asked eagerly.

"Well, he was charming, sweet, and a very good man." Peggy said. "He was all that even before he took the serum and wielded his shield, which is actually made of vibranium, a mysterious metal harvested from a small meteor that crashed near an Allies base. Yep, Steve Rogers is truly one of a kind, in more ways than one."

"What do you mean?" Molly asked.

"Well, after Steve disappeared, the military made many attempts to replicate the super soldier experiment, but they all failed. The original scientist who made the serum died and all his notes were destroyed. Without it, making a new Captain America would take a miracle." She began to tear up, but she quickly wiped it off. "But enough about me. Let's talk about Patty. She was the first person to welcome me after I retired in Brighton. And let me tell you, she has a lot of stories to tell."

"Oh, you mean these?" Patty asked holding up a scrapbook. She sat in a chair and opened it up revealing the pictures to the trio, who gathered around her to see them. "My friends and I founded the Brighton Skybirds, we mastered the beautiful yet deadly art of capoeira, and briefly became a semi-famous storm chaser. And that was just in one year."

"Wow. I guess I just assumed Patty was always old." Scratch commented.

"What's capoeira?" Loki asked.

"It's a fighting style that mixes with dancing." Patty explained.

"Is that even real?" Loki asked skeptically.

"If you doubt it, I can give you a firsthand demonstration."

"That won't be necessary, Patty." Molly said. "Right now, let's get back to you. Your life was so full of adventure. Diems carped. Horns grabbed. Yo's… lo'ed?"

"None of those work." Scratch said.

"That's because I live by a simple motto." Patty said. She pointed at a handknit sign which she then read aloud. "'No Regerts'."

"Shouldn't that say 'No Regrets'?" Loki asked.

"Yeah, I may have made a mistake when knitting that, but I wasn't going to unpick all that thread. Though, between you and I and the cross-stitch, I do have one 'regert'." Patty looked outside solemnly. "Goes by the name Bobby Daniels. It was love at first sight when I met that bad boy. His motorcycle, his leather jacket, his pompadour all drew me to him. Even though everyone warned me not to get involved with him, I took the chance and we've been going out ever since. Despite his tough attitude, he had a heart of gold; giving to charity, helping a three-legged dog crossing the street, always treating me right. With each day, I knew I made the right choice."

"So what happened?" Loki asked.

"Well, we had plans to travel together, but the day before we were supposed to leave, Bobby got a letter in the mail. Turns out he was drafted into the military. He swore to me that he would come back to me as soon as he could, so I waited as long as I could. Sadly, though, it wasn't to be. A military man came by and told us that Bobby was MIA."

Hearing that story made Molly display a sad face. Loki just looked at Patty with a surprised expression. Scratch, meanwhile, motioned himself to look like he was riding a motorcycle and molded his head to look like a pompadour.

"Wow. This Bobby guy sounds amazing!"

"That's pretty much how Patty and I grew to become friends." Peggy said. "Turns out, we both have loved ones we lost in war. So Patty, how about we cheer you up at senior's hip hop."

"Good idea, Peggy." Patty said. "Thanks for coming by, kids."

"I know I'm going to regret this," Loki said after returning to Molly's room and seeing her sad, "But what's wrong?"

"I hate that Patty regerts not taking a chance on love." Molly said.

"You have got to stop saying that word. It's imbecilic." Loki said.

"That's not the point. She was so sad thinking about Bobby Daniels." Molly said.

"Yeah, I'd be sad too." Scratch said. "He was probably the last cool person to live in Brighton." Loki shot the ghost a threatening glare. "Hehe. Before you, I mean."

"Well, there's nothing we can do." Molly said. "Patty said that Bobby was MIA, whatever that means."

"Missing in action." Loki replied.

Molly popped her eyelids open. "What was that, Loki?"

"MIA. It means, missing in action."

"So wait… Does that mean that Bobby's not dead? He just disappeared?" Molly asked with a hopeful smile.

"Well… Officially, that would be the case." Loki said. "But I seriously doubt that he's still alive. He could just have died and they haven't found his body."

"No, Loki! He's alive! I can feel it!" Molly cried out happily.

"Molly, think about it." Loki argued. "If he really was alive, why hasn't he come back to Patty?"

"We can ask him when we find him." Molly said.

"Scratch, will you help get Molly's head out of the clouds?" Loki asked.

"Hmm. Maybe Bobby would let me ride his motorcycle." Scratch said imitating a motorcycle ride. "And I can get my own leather jacket, quaff my ectoplasm. Next thing you know, we're blood brothers in a ride-or-die biker crew."

Loki facepalmed himself. "I should have stayed quiet. So what's the plan, Ms. Delusional?"

"Found him online!" Molly shouted holding up her phone.

"Wait, what?" Loki asked suddenly. "How? Where? Mewline? That's just one town over."

"Ugh. The toilet cake capital of the world." Scratch groaned.

Molly managed to convince her dad to drive her, Loki, and Scratch to the next town where they parked in front of a library. They left the car and entered the building.

"Okay. According to his profile, Bobby checks in at the library a lot." Molly said.

"Oh, the Mewline Library." Pete admired. "They have a legendary zoning regulation section. I'm gonna go over there right now. Am I cool because I have a library card or what?"

"I'm not gonna dignity that with an answer." Scratch said. "Let's just move on."

While Pete found a comically large book in the Zoning Law section, Molly, Loki, and Scratch went to the front desk where an elderly man sat while reading a book.

"Excuse me. Do you happen to know Bobby Daniels?" Molly asked.

"You could say I do." The elderly man said.

"Great!" Molly gasped. "Where is he?"

"Right in front of you. I'm Bobby Daniels."

The trio widened their eyes as wide as they could after seeing the man reveal himself. He looked exactly like an elderly version of Patty's boyfriend.

"I'm sorry?" Molly asked.

"Wait a minute. This can't be him." Scratch denied. "This guy is made of cardigan. He's wearing bulk shoes. Where's the leather jacket? The cool hog? The flagrant disregard for authority? Don't tell me he IS authority."

"So you're the Bad Boy of Brighton?" Molly asked.

"Brighton? Have I really been there?" Bobby asked scratching the back of his head.

"What do you mean?" Loki asked. "Of course, you've been there. You lived there before you got drafted. Remember?"

Bobby sighed. "Sorry, y'all, but I'm afraid I don't. All I know is, I woke up in a hospital bed in New York after being fished out of the harbor. I don't remember much about my old life. All I know about myself is my name."

"Oh, my goodness! You have amnesia?" Molly asked. "So wait. Does the name Patty mean anything to you?"

"Patty." Bobby said softly before giving a slight smile. "I don't know what that means, but for some reason, it makes me happy."

"So that's why he never came back to Brighton. He has no idea that he's from there." Molly said. "Mr. Daniels, have you ever tried looking for your past?"

"Of course, I have." Bobby said. "In fact, I have weekly sessions with doctors trying to get me to remember, but so far, nothing's working. Right now, my newest doctor built his office here in Mewline."

"So that's it. We need to get the old Bobby back." Molly said. "But how can we… SCRATCH?!"

"Huh? Scratch what?" Bobby asked. What he had no idea of is that Scratch was hovering over his head with a stack of books ready for him to drop.

Out of instinct, Molly and Loki jumped past Bobby and grabbed Scratch by his ectoplasmic tail and dragged him behind the bookshelf that was behind Bobby.

"What was that?" Molly asked her ghost friend.

"What does it look like? I'm trying to hit him in the head so he'll regain his memories." Scratch said.

"He's old. You could kill him." Molly said. "Just put those books back."

"Fine." Scratch groaned. He tossed them to the bookshelf. But instead of going back to where they were before, the books hit the shelves and it started to tumble forward. "Oops."

"BOBBY!" Molly screamed. She ran back to the front desk, but she was too late. The shelf had already fallen. "NO! HE… Wait, what?"

Loki and Scratch joined back with her just to drop their jaws seeing the same thing she was seeing. Although the bookshelf did stop falling, it didn't hit the floor. It did stop halfway after it hit Bobby's hand. The former Bad Boy of Brighton held up the large bookshelf with just one hand. And just as easily, he pushed the bookshelf back in place.

"Sorry about that ruckus." He apologized before starting to put up all the fallen books.

"I… Wha… How…" Scratch stuttered to ask.

"How did you do that?" Molly asked loudly.

"Do what?" Bobby asked.

"That thing! With the hand and the bookshelf-stopping and the…"

"Oh, that? Well, I was always stronger than I looked."

"But that doesn't make any sense." Loki said. "There's no way a mere human like yourself can do that with just one hand, especially one of your age."

"Hmm. I guess I never thought of it that way." Bobby said as he continued to put up the books.

"Oooooookay, this is a lot." Molly said turning to her friends. "Bobby's alive, he has amnesia, and somehow, he has super strength? What the heck?"

"I don't know, but I think it has something to do with his time in the military." Loki said. "Something must have happened back then. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually interested in this case. We need to restore his memory."

"So is hitting him on the head back on the table?" Scratch asked. "I'm just saying, he can probably take it."

"We don't have to go that far." Molly said. "Hmm… Maybe we can help him remember who he was before the military. Give him a taste of the old him. It could trigger his memories."

"So we're bringing the bad boy back?" Scratch asked excitedly. "Yippee!"

"Well, it's worth a shot." Loki shrugged.

"Bobby Daniels," Molly said getting Bobby's attention, "You're in luck, because we are going to restore your memories!"

Over the next while, Molly, Loki, and Scratch worked on redesigning Bobby with his original look. They started by having him put on a leather jacket, but it was difficult for him since he was pudgier than before. Despite how the clothes were so tight, he managed to jam himself in. He then put on a pair of sunglasses and shook his hair back. They then lead him outside where a red motorcycle waited for him. He tried riding it, but it took off without him and it crashed into a tree.

Everyone returned to the library worn out from their failed attempts. Bobby slouched on his desk while Molly, Loki, and Scratch laid down on the floor and leaned their heads on the desk.

"Okay. So bringing the Bad Boy of Brighton was harder than I thought it would be." Molly said.

"I'm sorry, Molly." Bobby said. "I told you, every professional therapist I've been too tried their best, but even they couldn't unlock my memories."

"Hey, Loki," Scratch said, "Don't you have magic? Can't you cast a spell and, you know, help him get his memories back?"

"My powers don't work that way." Loki replied. "I can look into a person's memories, sure, but I can't bring them back."

"Oh, come on. You can pretty much do everything else." Scratch complained.

"We can't give up hope now." Molly said. "There's got to be something. Anything."

The group fell into silence. They were in deep thought over what to do. Suddenly, Loki's eyes grew bigger and a thought entered his head.

"Hold on. Could it… No. It's stupid. But maybe…"

"What? What is it?" Molly asked. "Do you have an idea?"

"Well…" Loki said nervously, "I may have one… But like I said, it's stupid."

"I'll take stupid any day if there's a chance for Bobby and Patty to get back together!" Molly assured.

"Okay then." Loki said. "Bobby, pack your bags. We're going to Brighton."

"Are you okay, Patty?" Peggy asked her dour friend over a game of checkers. "You seem a bit unenergetic ever since the kids visited us."

"Sorry, Peggy. I guess talking with them about Bobby Daniels really brought back some sad memories."

"I'm sure you'll be fine. After all, I just showed them an old film about my lost love. Sure, it was sad, but I'm powering through it. So you should get back in the game."

"Thanks, Peggy." Patty said finally finishing the game with an unexpected combination of moves. "Ha! Take that!"

Peggy chuckled. "Same ol' Patty."

The two old biddies heard the door open and turned to see who entered. Patty was the most surprised seeing the kids return with Bobby Daniels beside them.

"Bobby?" she asked getting up from her chair and approaching. "Is it really…"

"I… I don't…" Bobby started to say. He was unable to finish his sentence seeing the loving look in Patty's eyes.

"Bobby has amnesia." Loki informed Patty. "He has no memory of his life before being enlisted."

"He what?" Patty asked. She looked at Bobby seeing that he was half-confused. She caressed the side of his head. "Oh, Bobby."

"Do… Do I know you?" Bobby asked. "You seem… very familiar."

"It's me. It's Patty." Patty pleaded with him.

"Patty." Bobby said softly while slowly opening his eyes. "You… I… We…"

Patty cut him off by kissing him passionately on the lips. Feeling her lips on his, Bobby's eyes widened and a spark lit up inside of him. Right before his eyes, he could see his entire life flash. When the kiss ended, Bobby gasped loudly.

"I remember!" he exclaimed. "I remember everything."

"Wait, what? What just happened?" Scratch asked in confusion.

"The oldest and cheesiest way to repair someone's mind." Loki said. "Ugh, it makes me cringe just seeing it work."

"You mean… the power of love?!" Molly asked with a rising excitement.

"That can't possibly work… can it?" Scratch asked.

"I'm afraid so." Loki sighed. "It's what Sif did to break Thor out of Lorelei's control. It's rather sickening. He looked over at Molly who was silently squeeing. "And now, I'm going to have to deal with this. But first…"

The kids brought Bobby and Patty just outside and under a tree where they heard Bobby's story.

"Patty probably told you kids how I was drafted to join the military." Bobby started. "It was standard stuff at first. Training. Exercising. Usual boot camp type stuff. Nothing special really. Then, a select group of soldiers were chosen for a special operation called Project: Patriot. Apparently, they found a scientist who claims to have successfully recreated the original super soldier serum from World War II."

"Like Captain America?" Molly asked. "Peggy told me people have tried decades to replicate that formula, but no one succeeded."

"Well, that's what we were about to find out." Bobby continued. "Me and a handful of other men were selected because we had the right physical properties needed for the test. We met up with the scientist in a secret lab in New York. I was the first to be tested. It was a little painful at first. It felt like I was having a fever. A few minutes later, I found myself able to pick up a crowded lab table with ease. Although I hadn't changed on the outside, on the inside, I was a second Steve Rogers."

"Wow." Peggy admired.

"But how did you lose your memory?" Loki asked. "And why aren't there more people like you?"

"There was about to be, but things went downhill quickly." Bobby explained. "As it turned out, that scientist made his serum using chemicals that he acquired illegally and the man he stole them from helped the police track him down. They broke through our walls before the second man could be injected. Although my sergeant attempted to order the police to leave, the doctor who helped the police wasn't ready to let go. Things got violent quickly and he started a gunfight. I tried to help as many as I could, but it was all in vain. During the fight, chemicals mixed and went into an open flame. The lab burst into flames and I was blown out the window falling into the harbor. The next thing I know, I wake up in the hospital and I don't remember any of it."

"Wow. That's even more hardcore than I expected." Scratch said. "This guy's legit."

"So… you got super strength now?" Patty asked.

"Well, that along with some other super-enhanced physical abilities." Bobby said. "But it seems fate brought me back to you."

"Ahem." Loki cleared his throat loudly.

"Oh. And these kids too."

"So what happens now?" Molly asked. "Won't the military come after you?"

"If they were, they'd do it by now." Bobby said. "It was an off-the-books operation, and as far as everyone knows, I died in that fire, and so did the rest of my team." He turned to gently caress Patty. "Which means I can stay here in Brighton with you. If you'll have me."

Patty smiled caressing him back. "Bobby, I've wanted nothing more."

"Oh, Patty…

Bobby:

Was it fate or was it chance

That created this circumstance

Is it me or do things just seem amiss

Patty:

Who'd have thought, after all these years

You'd come back to dry my tears

But I would be a fool to just ignore all of this

Bobby and Patty:

Let's try again

Let's give this another go

Right here, you and I

Can touch the sky

Just like we planned back then

Let's try again

Bobby:

Now, the world may try to keep us apart

But I'll keep coming back to you

Patty:

Is everything turning back

Bobby and Patty:

Or is it something braaaaaand neeeeeew

LET'S TRY AGAIN

LET'S GIVE THIS ANOTHER GO

RIGHT HERE, YOU AND I

CAN TOUCH THE SKY

JUST LIKE WE PLANNED BACK THEN

LET'S TRY AGAIN

Bobby:

From here on out

Patty:

Until the end

Bobby and Patty:

I'll be right here

LET'S TRY AAAAAAAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN

The two of them shared one last kiss before sitting on a moped together. They began their ride out while the sun began to set. Molly, Loki, and Scratch watched as they headed off into town.

"Now, that's true love." Molly said.

"Yeah. Yeah. I guess that's nice or whatever." Scratch sniffed.

"Are you seriously crying at that?" Loki asked.

"What? No! It happens to be ragweed season!"

"Whatever you say, buddy." Molly said before turning to Loki. "I gotta say, Loki, I'm surprised you'd ever help those two out. I thought you didn't believe in love."

"It's stupid, but it's not like I don't believe in love." Loki said. "I mean, I did fall in love in the past. Even got married one time."

"You did?" Molly gasped.

"Of course, I did. Did you seriously forget I had over a thousand years of adulthood before I died?" Loki asked. "Anyway, her name was Sigyn, and she's been dead for over a hundred years. And now, all I have left of her is our creepy daughter, Hela."

"Sounds like a story for another day." Scratch said.

"Sounds all right." Molly said. She then turned around and noticed Peggy Carter watching Patty and Bobby from the distance. "Hey, Peggy. You all right?"

"I'm fine. And I'm more than happy for Patty." Peggy said. "It's just… The love of her life just returned from out of nowhere. It… It really makes me hope for something similar to happen to me."

"One can only hope, Peggy." Molly comforted her by patting the old woman's shoulder. "One can only hope."

Down in the freezing Arctic, a powerful blizzard blew over the wasteland of ice and snow. Suddenly, a crack formed in the ice splitting it in half. The ice that remained briefly revealed a man hidden deep inside of the ice. It was a muscular man in red, white, and blue colors matching the circular shield he carried. Though he was still frozen, he was still clinging to a little bit of life still inside of him.
