Jen pov

I raced down the road following the car in front of me. I was in my alien form Upgrade, this was one of my second favorite forms. Anyway, I moved in closer to the car and the man driving took notice. "What the heck?" he asked not paying attention to the road. "Watch the road, you idiot!" I snapped, ditching the motorcycle and taking control of his car.

The man screamed as I covered the car and brought it to a stop. The police were getting close so I decided to take my leave. I hopped off the car and stood on the sidewalk. "What are you!?" the man asked to shocked to realize he was about to be arrested. "A superheroine." I said then spotted a nearby ice cream truck, "Oh, yummy."

I walked down the street to the truck ignoring the weird looks I was being given. "Hey, is there a costume party somewhere?" I turned and saw a group of teenagers approaching me. 'Huh, costume?" I pondered, I guess Upgrade could pass as some kind of fancy costume. I had long black arms with big hands, slender legs with slightly big feet, and a perfectly round head with one eye. My legs, the underside of my arms, and my torso were white and I also had green digital lines covering my head, back, and arms. Altogether it looked like some kind of weird dress, so, yeah, Upgrade could pass as a costume.

"Umm, no I lost a bet," I said in a calm tone. The teenagers looked at me, "Oh, well, still a cool costume." one said, they all then walked away and I continued toward the ice cream truck.

"One chocolate, please," I said gaining the worker's attention. "Whoa, nice costume," he said while getting my ice cream. "Thank you," I said and took my ice cream when it was handed to me, "How much do I owe?" I asked. The worker smiled at me, "My shift is almost over, it's on the house." he said and I smiled brightly. "Thank you," I said and headed toward where the RV should have been waiting.

"Jen, over here!" I turned my head and saw the RV waiting across the street. I hurried across and inside the RV, "Why haven't you changed back?" Gwen asked. "Not sure, I just didn't," I said and changed back before Gwen or Max decided to have a meltdown. I started eating my ice cream and sat down at the table to do some examination. I pulled up my screen and turned on the health monitor. We had to stop at a hospital a few days ago to get Max a check-up, and Albedo caught something. I hadn't added him to my health monitor yet, so no one could see or prevent this from coming.

I added Albedo to the health monitor and gave him the monitor bracelet. When it came to me monitoring Gwen and Max, I just scanned them, but I decided this would be an easier approach. I also issued Gwen and Max to wear one at all times. I pressed a button and there was a beeping noise from the back. A series of data appeared on my screen, I looked it over and frowned. "Gwen, you are developing a sore throat and your nose is one sneeze from becoming stuffy," I said, then stood up to tend to Albedo. While I got what I needed for Albedo, I saw Gwen digging around in some kind of emergency kit she had.

Gwen's tendency to be prepared was a blessing on many occasions. While Gwen tended to herself I carried my supplies to the back of the RV where Albedo was. I closed the curtain and saw Albedo laying in bed sound asleep. I walked over and set everything on the table beside him. I grabbed a cup of water and refilled the humidifier, then I changed Albedo out of his sweat-soaked shirt into a dry one and replaced the ice pack on his forehead. I stood up to leave but not before putting a warmer around the bottle of chamomile tea and honey.

I walked back to the front and saw Bleep playing chess with Megawatt. I walked over and leaned against the bench, "So, who is winning?" I asked gaining the two's attention. "I've never played before, I have no clue what I'm doing." Megawatt said I frowned at Bleep, "You haven't taught him how to play?" I asked and Bleep looked away. I looked down and shook my head, "Teach him how to play, and Megawatt kick his robotic butt." I said petting the top of Megawatts jar. "I'll try," he said and I nodded then left the two be.

I headed out and Saw Gwen and Max waiting outside the RV. Max looked at me, "Jen, you can't just walk around as your aliens." he said, I narrowed my eyes at him. " Sure, I gladly stop, after you two stop lying to me," I said and stormed off to Chinatown. I knew a remedy that would help Albedo, and I was in the mood for egg rolls.

I walked down the street with my hands in my pockets, my blood was boiling. "Who do they think they are?" I asked through gritted teeth. They spend forever lying to me and thinking they can tell me what to do. Not in this reality. I sighed and began taking deep breaths to calm myself down, I didn't wanna blow my top at an innocent person.

I stepped out of the china shop with two bags. One was from a restaurant and the other had the remedy for Albedo, among other things. I grabbed one of the egg rolls from the other bag and then took notice of the giant crowd. I walked over and joined them and saw a councilwoman.

"I'd like to thank everyone for supporting my downtown redevelopment program." I didn't have much interest in this and started walking back to the RV. I kept walk-in but stopped when a was began hovering in front of me. I swallowed the last bite of egg roll I had then held up my finger for the wasp. The wasp calmly perched on my finger and looked at me, it was oddly friendly. "Hmm, what's your game." I asked in a quiet voice, "AHHHH!!" I quickly turned my attention to the screaming.

My eyes widened in shock, wasp were everywhere. People were being swarmed and stung and there was some creep riding on a big cluster of wasps. "Who better to handle the bugs than the Queen herself," I said, pulling up my screen I selected stinkily. I transformed, I was a giant bug alien with four eyes, a sharp tail, and a putrid smell. I flew up and aimed down at the creep. I shot a bunch of green goop at him, knocking him off his swarm of wasps.

The man stood to his feet and glared at me, "I don't enjoy hurting bugs, but you seem to deserve it." he growled. His eyes glowed brightly and all the wasps swarmed me. "AHHH!!" I was being stung and my view was blocked. I heard the councilwoman scream, "AGH, tech voice command, electric barrier." a blue sphere formed around me pushing the wasps back and electrocuting them.

When I could finally see again I saw Bug-eye and the councilwoman were gone. I lowered to the ground and transformed back, I hunched over, I was stung a lot. "Tech voice command, thermal drop 34c." I sighed as the temperature of my body suit dropped chilling my body and soothing the stings.

I gathered my things and materialized my hoverboard. I made my way back to the RV as quickly as possible and dropped off the remedy for Albedo. "Jen, you just got back, why are you leaving again?" Max asked, I didn't have time to explain, I needed to find and save the councilwoman.

Bleep pov

Jen ignored Max and ran right back out the door after dropping off two bags. I noticed the panic on Jen's face and decided it would be a good idea to follow her. I used my claw to grab the top of Megawatt's jar and flew out the open window.

I flew through the sky following Jen's tracking chip. Megawatt was making a series of noises, it was the only way we had to communicate. Good thing Jen designed me to be fluent in Morse code. "I can only assume it is the usual kind of trouble," I said, Megawatt spoke again, "Maybe Jen can take us after the problem is resolved," I said and continued flying.

It took a hot minute but we eventually arrived at Jen's destination. It was an old apartment building, it needed to be torn down. I circled the building and found Jen behind the building crouched down looking at her screen.

I flew down and hovered beside Jen. "What are you doing?" I asked, Jen jumped a little and turned to look at me. "Bleep, you scared me." Jen said, "Sorry, now what are you doing?" I asked again looking at Jen's screen. It appeared she was using the ladybugs to scope out the inside of the building.

"Some creep with the power to control bugs kidnapped an innocent woman. I can't run in there blind, so I'm gonna use the ladybugs as security cameras." Jen said I love when I am right. Jen violated the last ladybug into position and then climbed in through a window. I followed Jen as she searched every floor while keeping watch for the creep she was talking about.

We eventually reached the second to last floor and entered a room. The walls were covered with papers and news clippings about bugs surviving a nuclear blast. "I think we're getting close," Jen said crouching down beside some white stuff that extended from the floor to the ceiling.

There was a sudden beeping sound and Jen grabbed me and Megawatt. Jen moved to hide behind the wall by the door and materialized her net launcher. Footsteps were heard approaching and Jen got ready to fire a net.

"Four steps...three steps...two steps... Now!" Jen was quick and fired the net. "AHH!?" we moved out of the shadow and saw Gwen and Max trapped in the net and Albedo crouched down trying to help them.

Jen pov

"What are you three doing here?" I asked crouching down to remove the net. "You especially don't need to me here," I said looking at Albedo, it was clear he still wasn't feeling well. "We couldn't leave him alone, so we woke him up," Max said. I felt my eye start twitching in annoyance. What could Albedo possibly do while sleeping?

"You two are so annoying," I said and pulled up my screen. I materialized my drones and made them carry Albedo back to the RV. I quickly finished removing the net and then went back to my search for the woman. I heard Gwen and Max start following behind me but I paid them no mind. I checked the ladybugs again, there was still nothing so I piloted them around a bit. I piloted them all to the higher floors and spotted the councilwoman, she was above us.

I pulled up my screen and transformed into four-arms and jumped through the floor. "Hey, wait for us!" I heard Gwen call but didn't listen. I moved across the top floor and saw the woman, she was covered in black widows. "Don't move," I said gaining the woman's attention. "I'm here to help you," I said and pulled up my screen. I went to my inventory and started looking for something very specific.

"Bingo," I said and .a serialized the device. I held a small rectangular box with a screen, keypad, and tiny antenna. "You might feel a little tingle," I said I typed in black widow on the keypad, and multiple beams shot from the antenna. Upon contact with the black widow, they all died and fell from the woman's body. "Thanks," she said, I nodded and helped the woman to her feet. I picked her up and carried her to the hole in the floor and dropped her down where Max and Gwen were waiting. I was about to jump down when something grabbed my leg "AHH!?" I was dragged back and thrown into a wall.

I stood up and glared at Bug-eye. I rolled my neck and cracked anything that needed to be popped. "You are trespassing in our home." he hissed, I changed my glare to a hard stare, I was in no mood. I charged at Bug-eye and sent him flying into a wall and weakened the structure more than it already was. An idea clicked in my head and instead of focusing on bug-eye, I focused on the building.

I ran and crashed into the walls and any support beams I could find. The building started to shake and crumble. "It's going down," I yelled so Gwen, Max, and the councilwoman would leave. "No, what have you done!!" Bug-eye screamed and the building came crashing down.

I pushed a giant piece of the ruble off my back and fell back onto it. The Omnitrix started to beep and I transformed back into me. I sighed and sat up, "Are you okay, Jen?" I looked over to Bleep. "I am fine Bleep, where is Megawatt?" I asked, Bleep turned and I could see Megawatt watching TV in the RV. I laughed, Guess the little guy got bored.

I stood up and walked over the where the councilwoman was standing with Max and Gwen. "This has been a really weird day." the councilwoman said looking very pale. "Yeah, you should head home and rest," I said, the councilwoman nodded but looked around. "Umm, I was hoping to thank that red, four-armed woman first," she said, I smiled. "We see her around a lot, I'll tell her for you," I said and the councilwoman nodded then left.

"Bleep, give Albedo a dose of the remedy I brought back and keep an eye on him," I said, I materialized overboard and headed for the nuclear power plant. Bugs were tough little suckers, but I knew how to stop this guy and his bugs. I was in the mood for a barbecue anyway.

I landed at the power plant and made my way inside. I raced down the halls before Bug-eye could take his plan any further. I saw the control room up ahead and Bug-eye was inside smashing the controls. I grit my teeth, I was too late to stop him the easy way. I ran into the control room and jumped on Bug-eye's head knocking him to the ground they broke through the glass to the reactor.

I landed on the ground as red lights started going off. A smirk crossed my face, "I've been wanting to use this " I said and went into my builds. I materialized a metal ball the size of a baseball, with two buttons, and three closed slits in the side. I pressed the blue button and threw the ball beside the reactor and ran to a corner. I put my back toward the reactor and covered my head. There was a loud whirling sound followed by three pops then the temperature rapidly dropped. "Core temperature dropping." I stood up and looked at the metal ball.

I walked over and picked the ball up tossing it a few times. "What-" I didn't give Bug-eye and chance and threw the ball at him, hitting him square in the nose. I made my way back to the control room and leaned over the dazed bug-eye. When his head became clear he gave a nervous smile, I smiled and based him knocking him unconscious.

I grabbed one of bug-eyes arms and drug him out of the power plant. I passed him off to the police who were waiting outside. I'm happy I made that call. I boarded the RV and headed to the back to check on Albedo. He was sitting up in bed reading a book, guess he was feeling better. I walked over and sat at the foot of his bed.

"How are you feeling?" I asked, Albedo smiled at me, "Better." he said. I nodded and leaned back against the wall. A nice silence fell over the entire RV and I hoped the peace would last forever.
