Chapter 5: Team hebi
-Six months later-
In konoha sat was a new restaurant called ichiraku Ramen super feast. It been a week since the restaurant it been booming in popularity. As you can guess this restaurant used to be a tiny little Ramen stand but now it was a restaurant owned by old man teuchi and his daughter Ayame. Ichiraku Ramen easily became the best restaurant all around konoha surpassing the akamichi BBQ restaurant.
This was the place where people came to enjoy dates or hang out with they're friends. It was a two story restaurant with another level on the roof for where the dates took place but it was a bit more expensive due to the nice view.
Sat at an table was the konoha 12. They was on the second floor due where there was big enough tables for the group.
First floor was the traditional four seat to six seat tables while on the second floor was the eight seats to twelve seat tables. Most of the civilians sat on the first floor while the Shinobis used the second floor.
Everyone was dressed nice due to it being a special night. It was choji birthday.
The table consisted of choji the air to the akimichi clan. Sitting next to him was his girlfriend Ino Yamanaka. They started dating only a few months back. Sitting to choji left was his best friend Shikamaru Nara the air of the Nara clan.
Sitting next to shikamaru was Kiba inuzuka air to the inuzuka clan sitting next to Kiba was his suppose girlfriend hinata hyuga air to the hyuga clan.
Next to hinata was Shino Aburame the air to the Aburame clan. Sitting next to shino was sai which the two got along very well due to the two being quite and antisocial.
Next to Sai was both sakura and sasuke. And next to sasuke was team guy which consisted of neji hyuga, Ten Ten who was neji girlfriend and Rock Lee. This group made up the konoha 12 a very famous group around konoha.
"Ha when the last time we all been together like this." Said kiba who was loud.
Shikamaru sighed, "well Kiba if you mean when the last time we all was In the same location as an group, it was yesterday." Said shikamaru.
Kiba grew a tick mark on his forehead and clinched his fist. "I mean when was the last time we all sat at dinner before." Yelled Kiba.
"Hm I can't seem to remember, maybe around last year?" Spoke neji with his hand on the table his face in his palm with an thinking expression.
"Well it feels good to be sitting here again." Said ino who smiled and picked up her menu.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." Mumble shikamaru picking up his menu. Ino glared at shikamaru, what was that shika?" Ask ino.
"Nothing." Reply shikamaru thinking ino was troublesome.
"So how was everyone last mission?" Asked Kiba who sat his menu down and grabbed hinata hand from under the table.
Hinata flinch, before slowly moving her hand away that went unnoticed by everyone.
"Our last mission was boring, all we did was capture some random bandits in the land of crystals." Said Ten Ten, getting a nod from neji. "Boring? A mission is never boring when you get to test yourself against powerful enemies." Said Lee causing everyone to sweat drop.
"Well nothing special happened on our mission either, we only fought like this B-Rank missing ninja from the cloud while we was on our way to the village of kosmos." Said ino holding choji arm.
"OH well me and my time had this super kick ass mission where we saved a princess from these evil terrorists." Said Kiba. Getting a nod from shino.
"And what about you guys?" Ask neji to team 7.
Sakura could only drop her head in a somber tone. While sasuke clinched his fist.
"Our mission went horrible actually we failed our mission." Said Sai as he noticed sakura or sasuke wasn't going to speak. They're last mission was six months ago after failing to bring back naruto sasuke and sakura was motivated into training stronger.
"Well what was the mission?" Asked Ten Ten. "It was to bring back naruto when we figure out the location of orochimaru hideout." Said sakura who looked like she was about to burst into tears.
Everybody at the table jumped in slight fear at the mention of naruto name. When everyone found out naruto left the village tree years ago everyone was devastated by the information but most importantly everyone felt betrayal. Knowing he went to seek out orochimaru for power due to jiraiya spy network.
"He was too strong, he made us look like wannabe ninjas he rag doll us." Said sasuke clinching his fist in anger but not at naruto but towards himself.
Everyone at the table was shock to hear this. Team 7 was arguably the strongest team in konoha and to hear they got destroyed by naruto was tough to hear. The only thoughts that ran through everyone mind was how strong was naruto.
"And it don't change the fact he was holding back." Said sakura causing the group to frown.
"I swear next time I see him, I will bring him back." Said sasuke to the others.
"No you won't" said shikamaru causing everyone to look at him. "The next time we see him we all will bring him back." Said shikamaru causing everyone to brighten up and order they're meals.
Hinata could only look down at her food picking at it as if it was a toy. And slowly eating her food. He blocked out the noise that was around her. She couldn't focus and it was for one reason and one reason only. She couldn't stop thinking about naruto her crush.
When she found out naruto left the village she was heart broken and wished that she told him how much she loved him. It got too bad to the point she locked herself in her room for an month. The only one able to get her to leave her room was Kiba.
It's how the two started dating but hinata knew her heart truly only lied with naruto. No matter how much times she told herself she hated naruto and loved Kiba her heart told her otherwise.
So as of now her and Kiba relationship was on thin strings not that Kiba and the others knew. But now that naruto poped back up in her mind she couldn't get him out her head. She wondered how he looked and if he still wore that same goofy smile that warmed her heart.
She noticed a waitress walking to a table with a plate filled with sake bottles. She took one of the sakes and started to drink the sake.
"Bring another plate" said hinata as she started drinking from another bottle. She sat the bottle on the table and looked up to see everyone looking at her.
Hinata shrugged and push the plate to the middle. Neji was the first to grab a bottle before he started to drink.
"I don't see why we can't have a little fun for my birthday." Said choji as he started to drink along with the rest of the group.
-A few hours later-
Hinata was resting on neji shoulder as neji dropped hinata off to her room due to her being completely wasted.
Neji who only had 3 shots wasn't that drunk and was able to take hinata home.
"Thank you neji." Mumble hinata as she watched neji close her door. Hinata immediately took of her shoes and flooped onto her bed. She would definitely have to sleep this off, was the thoughts running through hinata head as she fell asleep.
-The next day at ino house-
Ino screamed in frustration when she was leaving her house to head over to Sakura house. She had picked up a news paper and found out not only her but the whole konoha twelve was on the front page of the news paper. It was picture of the konoha twelve that was completely drunk.
The title was, "the konoha twelve reunite after an year in the newly open restaurant ichiraku Ramen super feast." It was so embarrassing and she saw it was an article of what happened last night.
She decided to to read the article before ripping the paper to shreds. She was going kill the news boy.
-hyuga compound-
Hinata sat on her bed with her head in her palm. Her head hurted and it felt like someone was stabbing her repeatedly. Standing up she went to her bathroom before throwing up. She felt much much better after throwing up. Standing up she flushed the toilet before getting dressed to head out. She left her house to see a packet of paper on the ground. Knowing it was it about them she decided not to read it.
She left the compound heading towards the park. The park filled with joy, filled with flowers, filled with kids running around and playing. When she reached the park she sat on the bench and watched the kids play. A smile came across her face from watching the kids play.
It was one of the times she ever felt happiness. Watching the kids play she could only wonder if she will have kids of her own. She blush at the thought and thought of an certain blonde.
-With naruto-
It had been a full three years since Naruto parted ways from the Hidden Leaf Village now and a full six months since his fight with Team Kakashi. He was currently sitting on a rock above the new hideout while awaiting Orochimaru to come start the next phase of his train.
"Orochimaru's illness is starting to hinder my training and on top of that my strength is at level beyond even his. Not to mention he intends to take over my body soon. I think it's about time for me to put my plan into effect." thought Naruto. Suddenly, thousands of Sound ninja appeared all around Naruto.
"What's the meaning of this?" asked Naruto in that same emotionless tone. Orochimaru then appeared along with Kabuto.
"I think it's time to test the power you've gained so far, Naruto." said Orochimaru with a sadistic grin. "Which is why you will face five thousand of my followers. All jonin and Anbu." Naruto stood up before four shadow clones appeared.
"Going to need help?" asked Kabuto. Naruto rolled his eyes.
"As if. I simply want to get this over with as quickly as possible." said Naruto. Orochimaru chuckled.
"Heh heh heh heh, very well." said Orochimaru. "Then lets see if you can beat them within three minutes." Naruto looked toward the group of Sound ninja.
"I'll only need three." said Naruto before he and his shadow clones took a thousand a piece and rushed head long into the army of Sound ninja. Orochimaru and Kabuto watched as Naruto and his clones took on the army of Sound ninja with ease. Orochimaru chuckled as he watched his vessel plow through the Sound ninja like they were nothing.
"Soon... soon that will be my body! I had my doubts about forsaking my original plans of having the Sharingan, but this worked out nicely instead. Far better than I originally hoped." thought Orochimaru.
"Heh heh heh heh... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed Orochimaru. He and Kabuto then noticed that Naruto's shadow clones were gone and Naruto was sitting on the rock he had been perched on when they appeared surrounded by five thousand defeated Sound ninja.
"Well done, Naruto. And without a single fatal blow." said Orochimaru. "But you need to let go of your mercy. A ninja must be ruthless. Compassion will be your downfall." Naruto looked toward Orochimaru with a glare.
"Unlike you, Orochimaru, I only kill if needed. Not if I have a choice." said Naruto as he stood up and headed into the hideout.
-That afternoon-
Orochimaru was in his bed going through a rough coughing fit.
"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH!" Orochimaru coughed as blood leaked out of his mouth. Kabuto looked on in worry.
"This is gonna require administering a rank ten pill." thought Kabuto. He then handed Orochimaru a glass of water.
"This damn body...is at it's limit." said Orochimaru. Kabuto walked toward the door.
"Wait here. I'll go get the medicine." said Kabuto before opening the door, stepping out and closing it.
-Outside the room-
Kabuto turned toward the two Anbu level Sound ninja guarding the door.
"Don't let anyone in there unless I'm with them." said Kabuto before he started walking down the hall toward his lab. "Lord Orochimaru's current body won't last much longer. Tomorrow, or better yet tonight. We must preform the transference ritual."
-Meanwhile-
Naruto was in his room meditating when his eyes snapped open.
"Time to go." said Naruto as he stood up. He then disappeared.
-Orochimaru's room-
The two Sound Anbu standing guard heard footsteps approaching before seeing Naruto walking toward them.
"Halt! Lord Kabuto ordered us not to let anyone in without him by their side. Including you, Naruto Uzumaki." said Sound Anbu 1. Naruto glared before disappearing. He then reappeared behind the two Sound Anbu followed by them dropping to the ground unconscious.
"I didn't ask to be let in anyway." said Naruto before turning toward the door. He then unsheathed his katana and rested the blade on his shoulder. He lifted his left hand toward the door before it became encased in lightning. The Curse Mark overtook the left side of his face.
"LIGHTNING SPEAR!" said Naruto as a spear of lightning shot toward the door.
-Inside the room-
Orochimaru was still sitting on his bed while waiting for Kabuto to return.
"Where is he?" thought Orochimaru. Suddenly, a spear of lightning shot through the door and impaled Orochimaru in the right shoulder.
"ARGH!" grunted Orochimaru as he looked toward the door. The door then split in half to reveal Naruto with his left hand encased in lightning and the spear extending from it.
"I knew you would come for me." said Orochimaru. Naruto looked at him with an emotionless expression.
"Then you know what my intentions are." said Naruto. "I can be merciless...even to you." He then walked toward the right side of the bed before lifting his katana above his head with the intention of cutting Orochimaru in half. The Snake Sannin quickly opened his mouth before spitting out a white snake. Naruto stopped his movement and watched as the snake then spat out another Orochimaru. The Chidori spear dissipated as the Curse Mark receded.
"I am the only one who can give you the power to defeat the akatsuki leader" said Orochimaru.
"Hmph, you were, but now the illness has ravaged your body beyond the point of no return. I dare say that you won't survive the night even if I don't kill you. And besides, you have nothing left to teach me." said Naruto. Orochimaru chuckled.
"Heh heh heh heh, then I guess it's time I claim my new body!" said Orochimaru as he launched himself at Naruto, but the young jinchuriki jumped to the left to dodge. Orochimaru then opened his mouth and out poured thousands of snakes that shot toward Naruto.
The snakes swarmed around Naruto before being blown away. Orochimaru's eyes widened in shock at what he saw. Naruto's whisker marks were darker and his eyes were red with slits for pupils, but he was surround by red chakra that took the shape of a fox with two tails. Naruto Nine-Tails: Two Tail mode looked toward Orochimaru with a glare.
"As I said, I can be merciless even to you." said Naruto. He then extended his chakra clawed hand toward Orochimaru and grabbed him before slamming the Snake Sannin into the ground. He then walked over to Orochimaru before taking his katana and stabbing the Snake Sannin in the chest. Orochimaru looked up at Naruto's cold red eyes before his own gold ones rolled into the back of his head.
Naruto removed his katana from Orochimaru's chest before the red chakra dissipated and his whisker marks and eyes returned to normal. He then turned and started walking toward the door before quickly turning back around and hurling his katana at a giant white snake that had Orochimaru's features and hair. The katana impaled the Great White snake before pinning it to the opposite wall.
"H-how did you know?" asked Orochimaru, Naruto smirked.
"I may be stronger than you, but it takes more than that to bring you down." said Naruto. However, he suddenly found himself in a strange place with a fleshy ground. Suddenly, the fleshy surface began to rise up around Naruto pinning him in place. Another part of the fleshy surface rose up before revealing Orochimaru's face.
"Where the hell am I?" asked Naruto. Orochimaru chuckled.
"This is the universe inside my body. This is where the transference ritual takes place." said Orochimaru. "Now it's time to claim what is rightfully mine." As he said this, the flesh covering Naruto began to fully engulf him. Just as it was about to completely cover him, however, it suddenly turned black and melted completely away.
"WHAT?!" exclaimed Orochimaru. "THE TRANSFERENCE RITUAL IS BEING REJECTED?!" Suddenly, three large black tendrils rose up. Orochimaru looked toward Naruto to see that his eyes were red with slits for pupils.
"You thought that a jinchuriki would be easier to control than an Uchiha, but you were mistaken. You claim to be a genius and yet you made the most common mistake. Now you and your dream die here." said Naruto (Nine-Tails' chakra). The tendrils then moved toward Orochimaru.
"NO! I AM OROCHIMARU! I AM THE ONE WHO WILL UNLOCK THE SECRETS OF NATURE! I AM IMMORTAL!" screamed Orochimaru as he was engulfed by the tendrils. Naruto's eyes returned to normal.
"You were chasing a hopeless dream. The secrets of nature will always remain just that...secrets." said Naruto.
-Reality-
Kabuto had returned to find the guards unconscious. He then rushed into the room to find Naruto standing in the middle of the room. He then looked toward the opposite wall to find the Great White Snake pinned there by Naruto's katana.
'T-the Great White Snake?! Does this mean the transference ritual is already complete?' thought Kabuto. Naruto then looked toward Kabuto.
"Kabuto." said Naruto before he walked over to the Great White Snake and removed his katana allowing the corpse to fall to the ground. He then sheathed his katana before walking toward Kabuto.
"W-which one...are you?" asked Kabuto. Naruto stopped beside Kabuto before answering.
"Why don't you guess." suggested Naruto. Kabuto fell to his knees.
"T-then Lord Orochimaru is..." said Kabuto. Naruto then walked out of the room.
-Hallway-
Naruto walked out of Orochimaru's room.
'Now that I've absorbed Orochimaru's power it's time to take out the akatsuki, but first I'm gonna need a team.' thought Naruto. "Right. First up is Suigetsu." With that Naruto proceeded toward the lab.
-Laboratory-
Naruto arrived in the lab to find the door to the holding tanks sealed shut with two jonin level Sound ninja standing guard.
"Halt! Only Lord Kabuto and Lord Orochimaru are allowed in here!" said Sound ninja 1.
"Orochimaru is dead." said Naruto as he continued walking toward them. Both ninja's eyes went wide with shock.
"W-WHAT?!" exclaimed both ninja. Naruto then disappeared before reappearing behind both ninja. Both Sound ninja dropped to the floor unconscious. Naruto looked toward the door.
'Better hurry before Kabuto gets over his shock and sounds the alarm.' thought Naruto. He then unsheathed his katana before the blade became cloaked in lightning chakra. Naruto then swung his katana straight down and split the door in two. Naruto proceeded into the room to find the walls lined with tanks full of water.
He then walked toward the one at the far end of the room.
"Let's get you out of there, Suigetsu." said Naruto. He then stabbed his lightning chakra enhanced katana through the glass before cutting in a vertical line. Water leaked out before the pressure became too much for the tank and the glass shattered causing the water to spill out. Naruto then looked down at the water as he sheathed his katana.
"Get up, Suigetsu." said Naruto before he slammed his foot on the ground.
"OW! Alright, I'm up!" said a voice before the water rose up and took the form of a human with white hair and purple eyes. He wore nothing as he was naked.
"What are you doing here, Naruto? You're gonna piss off Orochimaru if he finds out you freed me." said Suigetsu.
"Orochimaru is dead." said Naruto causing Suigetsu's eyes to widen. "I killed him before coming down here."
"Well, you have my thanks, but why free me?" said Suigetsu.
"Because I need you and two others. I'm making a team. The choice is yours." said Naruto. Suigetsu mulled it over.
"Well, I do owe you for freeing me. Alright, I'm in." said Suigetsu. "So who are we gonna recruit next?"
"Karin." Naruto simply answered. Suigetsu groaned in annoyance.
"Not that woman! She and I don't get along well." said Suigetsu. Naruto turned and began walking toward the door with Suigetsu in tow.
"I'm not saying that you have to get along. Just cooperate." said Naruto. Suigetsu sighed.
"Fine, but no promises." said Suigetsu.
"First we let out these prisoners." Said naruto walking to a cell before using wind chakra to destroy the lock. The prisoners looked at him with fear.
"You all free to go, I killed orochimaru no need to worry now." Said naruto as he watched the prisoners run out the hideout." "Hey naruto." Asked suigetsu getting naruto attention.
"It was your team that brought down zabuza right? Do you mind showing me where his blade is?" Ask suigetsu. "If you show me where the blade is and I get it, I won't mind following you around." Said suigetsu.
Naruto turn back before walking off, "put some clothes on." Said naruto before walking off causing suigetsu to grin.
-Land of waves-
It didn't take them long to reach the land of waves as they walked across the bridge.
"Hey naruto, is it me or did that bridge just had you're name on it?" Ask suigetsu who was dressed in a purple shirt with white pants.
"Yeah." Answered naruto as he continued to walk across the bridge. "So how strong was zabuza when you met him?" Ask suigetsu.
"He was tough already he also had a partner which me and my teammate dealt with while my sensei took care of zabuza." "It was an tough fight but we won, but in the end zabuza was betrayed by Gatto and he died to blood lost and chakra exhaustion."
Said naruto who finally reached the grave of zabuza and Haku. "Hey! Where's the sword?" Ask suigetsu. Naruto shrugged his shoulders before walking away. "Someone must've taken it, let's go ask around." Said naruto as suigetsu followed behind.
They made it to the village and naruto notice how different the village was. It was more happier and he didn't see a single person on the street. The village was clean and the houses and stores looked nice. "Why do you want this blade so bad? Suigetsu?" Ask naruto causing suigetsu to put his hands behind his head.
"The blades of the the seven swords men of the mist was passed down. To generations to generations that was the system. I'm aspired to become one of them and train using the blade, since zabuza senpai is gone its only right for me to have it." Said suigetsu before someone bumped into him.
"Watch where you walking you idiot!" Yelled the man who bump into suigetsu. Suigetsu was ready to punch the man until naruto stopped him.
"Hey, you got an problem bro?" Asked the man to Suigetsu. Naruto glance in the man direction causing him to flinch and take a step back before walking away.
"What's his problem that stupid jerk. You're so nice naruto." Said suigetsu.
Suigetsu looked behind him to see a small restaurant. A grin came across his face as he pointed to the restaurant. "Hey want to grab a bite?" Ask suigetsu pointing to the restaurant. Naruto sighed and shrugged his shoulders, before the two walked into the empty restaurant and took a seat.
Suigetsu ordered ice cream as naruto ordered fish and rice. Suigetsu took a bite out his ice cream before squealing like a fan girl. "Delicious!" Yelled suigetsu.
Naruto just shook his head before eating his food. "Hey, I may have an idea where to find zabuza sword." Said narutto taking a piece of his fish. "OH yeah? Where?" Ask suigetsu.
"When I first came here I escorted a man name tazuna, if I go to his house he might have information on where the sword went." Said naruto before getting up and throwing his finish food in the trash while leaving out. Suigetsu finished his ice cream before chasing after naruto.
-Tazuna house-
"The boss isn't here right now, sorry" said a man who was working on an log.
"Do you know where he is?" Asked naruto.
"The land of lighting, he went to go build a bridge he also took his son Inari with him and won't be back until a year." Said the worker.
"The land of lighting, that's way too far." Said suigetsu in a defeated tone.
"Do you know what happened to the large blade that was left near the Great naruto bridge?" Asked naruto.
"OH that? Tenzen Daikoku took it." "He and his men originally came here to capture the ninja who welded the blade." "But after finding out the ninja was dead he just took the blade with him." Said the worker.
-village-
"Damn, Tenzen Daikoku he was the aide to the lord of the land of water. Damn its going be hard to find this guy." Said suigetsu rubbing the back of his head.
"But a large portion of his men was killed by zabuza when zabuza left the village." Said suigetsu before the same guy who bump into him earlier bumped into again.
"Hey who in the hell you're think you-" the man was cut off when suigetsu spoke. "Hey we were just looking for you." Said suigetsu, before the man tried running away.
But instead he was grabbed by naruto and thrown in a alley way, landing in a sake of trash.
"Who are you guys?" Yellled the man. "You seem the type to know things." Said suigetsu. "Tell us where Tenzu Daikoku is, any information would happen." Said suigetsu with an smile on his face.
"Tenzu Daikoku is an politician. But there's another side to him. He's a boss of a huge band of thieves. I hear he deals out huge bribes to federal lords." Said the man who was sweating.
"See I knew you knew a lot of information, where do he live?" Asked suigetsu.
"Just to the south there's a castle in the forest, rumors says thousands of mercenaries that guard the place, and that the place is impenetrable." Said the man.
-Nightfall-
In the castle of Tenzu Daikoku, most particularly in the bedroom of Tenzu Daikoku sat Naruto on top of the man headboard. He took out his blade before aiming it on top of the man head, causing Tenzu to wake up looking at the blade.
"W-Whos there? How'd you get in?" Ask Tenzu in a frantic voice.
"This castle will be attacked by tens of thousands of soldiers. Make sure you gather every man available. My name is suigetsu." Said naruto before vanishing out of sight.
Tenzu shot up noticing the intruder was gone.
"An intruder! Man come out!" Yelled Tenzu.
Authors note: Wow this was a long chapter, easily the longest chapter I wrote. Don't expect every chapter to be this long but hopefully I can make longer chapters if I have the energy and time. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more, BYE!
