Hey everyone this is chapter 12 and I read some reviews and I liked the idea of Naruto fighting pain in the same place Jiraiya fought pain. But realistically I don't think pain will use his big AOE attacks due to not wanting to destroy his village. So I'm thinking about having them fight in Amegakure but take the fight out of the village but not too Far to the point nagato can't control his six paths.
Today is September 6, 2023 I'm not sure when this chapter will drop but hopefully soon because I have school.
Chapter 12: Student meets Student.
Walking through the village of konoha, was a old looking man with a kid on his back. The man had white hair and dressed in a traveler outfit with black sunglasses. On his back was a little girl who was around the Age of 6.
As you may know this was Naruto and Araya, But Naruto was hidden in disguise with his chakra hidden. It was easy to get into the village, due to hiding his chakra. It almost made him seem like a real civilian with only a bit more than the average Civilian.
"Hey how about going to the nearby park?" Asked the disguise Naruto to his companion Araya.
Araya who was told a few hours ago played along. "Yeah, I never really played at the park before." Said Araya a little bit of truth in her statement. Naruto took her to the nearby park before sitting on a bench and watching her play.
He took out a book before reading, trying his best to blend in. He heard a small mumbles of curses causing him to turn to his right to see a little boy with brown hair with a scarf wrapped around his neck.
Naruto eye's slowly widen before looking at the boy with a blank expression. The boy took out his lunch box before taking a few bites out of his sandwich.
The boy turned to see the old man staring before offering him a pice of his sandwich. "Are you hungry mister?" Asked the boy.
Naruto shook his head before mentally slapping himself. "I just thought that your outfit looked a bit weird for a ninja." Said the old man.
"What do you mean? It's green I can easily blend in with the trees, grass and bushes." Retorted the boy.
"Well it's not really your outfit but it's your scarf, right you can slip on your scarf and leave yourself open to attacks?" Asked The old man.
"Well when I'm on missions I wrap my scarf a little tighter when I'm home I just let it lose." Replied the kid.
"Oh really? Is it fun being a ninja?" Asked The old man.
"Well I won't call it fun but I do it for the people I love, and a personal goal of mines." Said the kid.
"Oh? Well who do you love?" Asked the old man.
"Well a lot of people, my friends, my hokage, my village and a certain someone but she doesn't really notice me like that." Said the kid his mood dampening.
"What is she like?" Asked the man.
"Well she's a bit cold, she have some sort of a ego problem, and she's very strong and beats me in every spar. But when she show her true side under the mask she puts up she's a angle." Said the kid.
"First if I was you, I would try breaking that mask, and maybe get stronger and show her up in spars so you can Crack that ego of hers but don't Crack her confidence." Said the old man.
"Really? You really think I have a chance?" Asked the kid.
"You always have a chance unless you aren't breathing. Someone once told me, when you truly want to become strong protecting your love one's is the way to go. So be her King and protect her from any danger." Said the man.
"Thanks! You made me feel a lot better." Said the kid standing up about to leave.
"Hey kid, what's your name?" Asked the man.
"It's konohamaru, I was named after the village by my deceased granpa, thanks for talking with me." Said Konohamaru before running off.
"Konohamaru, I knew it was you, you grown since the last time we met, but how strong have you grown?" Thought Naruto with a smile on his face, before Araya ran towards Naruto.
"You ready to go and get a inn? You tired?" Asked Naruto getting a nod from Araya before resting into Naruto shoulders.
Walking to the best Inn he can find he rented out a room before laying down Araya on the bed. Naruto looked out the bedroom window and saw it was nearing noon.
"Better head over to the hyuga compound." Thought Naruto before jumping out the window and jumping from roofs to roofs before landing next to the hyuga compound.
Naruto closed his eyes before trying to sense Hinata chakra which was a bit difficult due to everyone in the clan having similar chakra which was low. "There, Found her." Thought Naruto before dropping his disguise and sneaking into the compound avoiding every hyuga.
He climb towards a window before seeing Hinata drawing in a book at her desk. He knocked on the window startling Hinata.
Hinata almost fell out her seat before seeing it was Naruto before running towards the window and letting him in.
Naruto climb through the window before looking around Hinata room. It was the first actual room he ever saw other than his. He didn't count the hideout he slept in or the inns he stayed in.
Hinata closed her window before locking her door.
"Nobody saw you right?" Asked Hinata a little worry.
"If I did I would've been caught by now. Nobody comes in your room right?" Asked Naruto sitting on Hinata bed.
"No, I can't really rember anyone coming in my room in the past 7 years." Said Hinata.
"Do any Hyuugas use their byakugan to see through walls?" Asked Naruto.
"No, it's actually a rule that we aren't allow to do that unless it's a serious condition." Said Hinata.
Naruto removed his shoes before kicking it to the side. "I will be crashing here for a while, you don't mind don't ya?" Asked Naruto.
Hinata blushed in embarrassment and looked away. "No I don't mind." Said Hinata.
"You know this the actual first time I've been in someone house and their room that I've known." Said Naruto.
"It's the first time having a guy in my room." Blushed Hinata looking at the floor.
"So did you get any info on about the scroll?" Asked Naruto.
"No sorry, I had to take my team to the hospital and Tsunade-Sama told me to go home." Said Hinata.
"So what did you tell her?" Asked Naruto.
"I would've told her that we haven't come across you but whenever my team will wake up they will tell everything and I would look suspicious, so I told her we came across you but we lost." Said Hinata.
"Good." Said Naruto walking to hinata closet.
"You don't mind if I throw my backpack in here right?" Asked Naruto throwing his back pack on a hanger before Hinata can speak.
"So what's the plan?" Asked Hinata.
"Well, I was thinking about you scouting out and seeing how tight the security is at the hokage office and how many anbu are hidden in the shadows with your byakugan. I also wanted you to see if you can see through the hidden door and locate the scroll. But If security is too tight the only way to get it is if tsunade was to leave the village." Said Naruto pacing around thinking of a plan.
"I'm strong but I'm not suicide, I would just create a bunch of shadow clones and distract the whole village but tsunade and others will easily catch on that it's me knowing only I can do that jutsu other than Kakashi. And I know I can't take on the entire village. It really seems impossible getting Tsunade out the village." Said Naruto who was still pacing.
Hinata sat in her chair before trying to think of a plan.
"Well I have a plan but I don't know if these rumors are true. When I was on previous missions I heard talks of a possible kage summit but nothing never been confirmed." Said Hinata.
"Do you know why?" Asked Naruto.
"No I have no clue but they can also be lying just to talk." Said Hinata.
"Yeah, but I don't really think there's a reason why people would lie over a kage summit. Unless it's true but they haven't decided on a date. Ah yes I have a plan, when the kage summit is called you go and sneak and bring me the scroll." Said Naruto taking out a scroll.
"This is a special scroll that have my blood intact into it. If you pour your chakra into it, you can summon me or contact me with one of my summoning who will tell me whatever you said." Said Naruto handing hinata the scroll.
"I'm giving you that because I don't plan on staying here for too long, as I have business to take care of." Said Naruto sitting back onto Hinata bed.
Hinata opened the draw to her desk before stashing the scroll.
"Hey, do you have anything to eat or something? I'm kinda hungry." Said Naruto towards Hinata.
"Yeah but I have to make it, you will be fine here alone?" Asked Hinata standing up and walking nearby to the door.
Naruto waved her off, causing Hinata to leave the room.
Naruto laid down on the bed looking up towards the ceiling.
"It feels weird being back in Konoha. This place still gives me the creeps." Thought Naruto shivering getting flash backs from his childhood.
"Can't believe I was just walking down the streets of Konoha, a missing ninja and someone who plans on massacring everyone in the village outside of a few people. The only people he can see letting live was Hinata, The Konohamaru core Iruka and maybe Tsunade." Thought Naruto.
Naruto stood up before walking around the room and checking stuff out. To say Hinata room looked beautiful was an understatement.
He walked to a door that was near her closet only to find out it was a bathroom. "A bathroom in your room, I've never seen that before." Thought Naruto closing the door. He walked over to Hinata desk before reading her diary. He opened the door to see a book filled with letters and pictures.
It was drawings of herself, and him? "These pictures looks so realistic." Thought Naruto flipping through the pages.
He decided the read some of the notes before his face turned red. Wow hinata had so many dirty thoughts, who knew the quiet ones was like this. He continued to read on about what was happening in her life. He learned that she was supposedly dating Kiba but she felt nothing towards him and only thought of him as a teammate. He found out about everyone love life and who they were dating.
"Wow, I really missed out on a lot huh? I wonder if I never left would i be in a relationship? I wonder would I be in a relationship with Sakura or maybe even Hinata." Thought Naruto who felt a tinge of pain in his heart at seeing everyone was happy.
It wasn't fair that everyone got to be happy but him. He could imagine them laughing and giggling in excitement, which hurted his ears.
He was going to close the book until something caught his eyes and saw some notes on Hinata personal life. He's eye's went from anger to shock to confuse to sadden. Hinata life was a mess, she was a drug addict using pills to help her get through her every day life. She been consuming alcohol lately and to see it was him who caused her this pain ruined his day. He never knew how strong Hinata feelings was until now. Yeah she confessed to him back then in the forest but he didn't really pay any real attention to it.
His mind told him to stop reading and just leave the book alone but his heart told him to continue reading. He wanted to see how deeply he effected Hinata and how long have this been going on. He continued to read until he stopped at the end. He was lost for words so he just closed the book and sat back on the bed waiting for Hinata. Not too long Hinata opened the door with a tray of food, before sitting it on the bed and locking the door.
The plate was filled with Okonomiyaki, Gyoza, Karaage, Tonkatsu, and curry bread. The food looked amazing and Naruto could only hope it tasted better than it looked.
Removing his gloves, Naruto sat his gloves on a nearby desk before digging in. Naruto dug in the Okonomiyaki first picking up his chop sticks before slurping up the ramen noodles and eating the fried egg. Hinata watched Naruto eat before taking her chop sticks and digging in as well.
"Wow Hinata this is amazing." Said Naruto picking up the Gyoza and dipping it into the soy sauce and taking a bite out of the dumpling. "I can't remember the last time I at like this." Thought Naruto chewing on his food.
"I'm glad you liked it." Naruto-kun said Hinata blushing.
Naruto swallowed his food before picking up the Karaage. It was a small chicken that was covered in soy sauce, mirin, garlic and ginger. It had a sweet juicy taste to it making it one of the best chickens he ever ate.
Time passed as the two conversated and ate. Naruto was full as he laid down on the bed staring at the ceiling.
"Alright Hinata I have to go. I need to get back to the inn and get some rest." Said Naruto standing up and putting on his boots.
Hinata frown. "Are you coming back?" Asked Hinata.
"No, I have things to take care of the next time I step back in this village it will be a fight." Said Naruto putting on his gloves, causing Hinata frown to deepen.
For the first time in 3 years she was actually happy. She cherished every moment between her and naruto and didn't want this feeling to go away.
"Rember, contact me when you find a way to get the scroll. And remember I was I never here okay?" Said Naruto jumping out the window.
Hinata could only stare at the window as this was the last time she probably see naruto in months or even years.
Naruto made it back to the inn and entered through the window to see Araya still sleep. Naruto closed the window before getting in a separate bed and falling asleep.
-Morning-
Naruto woke up, staring at the ceiling. He got out of bed before walking over to Araya and waking her up.
"Five more minutes." Said Araya still tired and turning around.
"Five minutes in a life or death situation you will be dead." Said Naruto forcing her to wake up.
Araya sat up with a tired expression on her face. "Where we going now?" Said Araya.
"We going to find my team, I will let you get dressed just meet me outside of the building." Said Naruto leaving the room and using a transformation jutsu to look like the old man from yesterday. Turning the corner he saw a familiar blonde haid women. Gaara sister, Temari.
Temari paid the old man no mind as she walked towards her inn room not knowing who she was walking by.
Naruto left the building standing in the front waiting for Araya. Naruto was planning on visiting twilight village as that was the last village he and team tebi was last at before splitting up. If he go there he know they shouldn't be that far, as he told them to lay down and not cause any trouble.
He also needed to find Konohamaru, he wanted to konohamaru a gift before he leave.
"All right! Let's go!" Said Araya who ran out the building jumping onto Naruto back.
"Yeah let's head to the store first." Said Naruto carrying Araya on his back as the two traveled towards the store.
He let the girl off his back as the two went into the store before looking around.
"Um excuse me sir, but do you guys sell water ballons?" Asked Naruto to the guy who was behind the counter.
"Yes we do! It's right over there in that section." Said the man pointing in the direction of the water balloons.
Deciding 20 water balloons would be enough Naruto grabbed the whole box before sitting it on the counter.
"You want anything Araya? Like some snacks?" Asked Naruto, getting a nod from Araya as she ran to get some snacks before putting it on the counter.
"How much will this be?" Asked Naruto taking out his frog wallet.
"It would be sixty Ryo." Said the man adding up the prices.
Naruto handed the man the money before walking out the store. "Let's head to the park real quick." Said Naruto as he lead Araya towards to park hopefully finding Konohamaru.
He was extremely lucky, he saw konohamaru feedings a group of birds a piece of bread.
"Hey you remember me from yesterday?" Asked Naruto who was still disguise to Konohamaru who shot up in surprise as he wasn't able to sense the old man chakra.
"Oh the old man from yesterday, anything I can help you with?" Asked Konohamaru rubbing the back of his head.
"No but I wanted to give you this." Said Naruto handing him a bag of balloons.
"Water balloons? What am I'm suppose to do with water balloons?" Asked Konohomaru.
"For your ninja training, first you have to do this." Said Naruto picking up a balloon and placing it in the middle of his palm.
"You need to add you chakra to the water Balloon and rotate your chakra causing the water to burst." Said Naruto bursting the water balloon.
"It can help with your chakra control and you can even learn a jutsu with this. But only do it in front of your teacher or another sensei." Said Naruto leaving Konohamaru shock.
"That was so cool." Thought Konohamaru picking of the water balloon.
"I be on my way now." Said Naruto leaving with Araya.
-Time skip hours later-
Naruto and Araya walked down the streets of twilight village. The streets was almost empty, with the sun setting.
Naruto dropped his disguise as he sat his backpack on the ground. He did a few hand seals before releasing his chakra, sending multiple huge waves of chakra through the streets. It started to blow people back as Araya had to grabbed onto his arm. This continued for around two minutes until Naruto stop.
"What was that for?" Asked Araya panting.
"It's to get my team attention, they should be here in a few." Said Naruto before he dug into his backpack and took out a black rain coat before throwing it on. He zipped it up before putting on his back pack.
"It's not even raining why do you have a rain coat on?" Asked Araya.
"Because I'm about to go somewhere Where It's about to rain." Said Naruto confusing the little girl.
A few minutes passed as Naruto and Araya made small talk until Jugo, Karin and Suigetsu arrived.
"Naruto, You back! Finally!" Said Suigetsu with a grin on his face.
"I wasn't gone for so long." Said Naruto.
"Gone long enough, Do you not know how hard it was to be stuck here with these two?" Said Karin folding her arms.
"Hey who's the kid?" Asked Suigetsu.
"Her name is Araya, I found her when I returned from my training and I want her to stay with you guys." Said Naruto causing Araya eyes to widen.
"What?" Asked Araya.
"Yeah, I have somewhere to go where only I could go, you better off here with them they will protect you and they're friendly. Look you even have another female here with you to talk with if you ever feel lonely." Said Naruto turning his back towards the group.
"You just came back and you're leaving already!" Screamed Karin with a tick mark on her forehead.
"Just watch over her for me alright?" Said Naruto before he was ready to jump off into the trees but was stopped by Suigetsu.
"You going to fight the Akatsuki leader aren't you." Said Suigetsu who wasn't asking but stating with the most serious expression everyone ever saw.
"It's something I need to do on my own. That was always the plan ever since I first meet you all. The bastard even killed my master." Said Naruto who was barely holding his anger.
"Just watch over Araya for me." Said Naruto as he put on his hood and left and started hopping through the trees.
He was barely able to control his emotions as he thought of the old perverted sanin.
Small flashbacks of him and Jiraiya training and sharing monuments together flash through his mind.
It took him roughly about 4 hours to make it to a village that was transporting boats. He paid the man as he was able to get his own boat and he sailed towards Amegakure. He opened up a can of bake beans as he started to eat.
He wouldn't dare go into a fight on a empty stomach. Naruto stared at the deep sea as he ate his food. "Pervy Sage." Thought Naruto.
Yes even tho he wanted revenge and wanted to destroy Konoha Jiraiya and a few others weren't included. He has lost two very special people towards him first being the 3rd hokage and now Jiraiya.
"Wow to think both teacher and student is dead and to think they will be killed by two people who was and is apart of the same organization. I already killed orochimaru, I have no problem killing the Akatsuki leader." Thought Naruto.
The only thing that didn't sit right with Naruto was the bit of confidence he lost. He wonder would he really be able to beat the Akatsuki leader. Someone who's stronger than Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Itachi, And Deidara. All those people were S-Rank ninjas the highest rank anyone could get in the Bingo book. Thinking of the Bingo book he was surprised he wasn't added to the Bingo book yet. It was weird and bizarre.
Opening up the Bingo book naruto scan through the book looking at every Akatsuki Member. Everyone was dead but Zetsu, Kisame and a girl name Konan.
What was off to him was that the mask man wasn't apart of the Bingo book. He was either too weak or Nobody knew his abilities.
"No that couldn't be, Akatsuki would never let a weak person into the group." Thought Naruto as he thought back to his encounter with the Masked Man. He remembered himself slicing the man guts out but all his sword did was phase right through him.
"Forget all this, I need to focus." Thought Naruto as he put the book away and started to meditate until he reached Amegakure. He felt rain hit his head as he opened his eyes.
He looked and saw he was at Amegakure. Stepping out the boat Naruto walked up the concrete stairs and stop and looked at the village. He took it all in as he scanned the village and people. Everyone was either running to get to houses or stores.
Some just walked the streets with umbrellas. Naruto looked up to the dark sky as the rain attacked his face.
The sense of dread washed Over him and wonder if this how Jiraiya felt. Naruto walked through the streets as he tried to fight any sort of information about the Akatsuki leader.
"The leader always resigns in the tallest building or underground." Said a Jiraiya voice in Naruto head.
"Thanks pervy sage." Thought Naruto as he walked through the streets until he stopped in a alley way before going through the pipes underground. He found himself in a Seward and tried his best not to get any sewage water on him. The rats scramble away as they saw him.
Naruto walked through the Seward turning multiple corners until he found himself out the end of a pipe. He walked through the pipe as he saw the rain stopped raining. He looked up to see a women standing on a top of the wall. He noticed the Akatsuki cloak and remember that this girl name was Konan.
"Where's your leader?" Asked Naruto.
"The Nine tails Jinchuuriki intruding into our village." Said Konan who looked like a angel.
"So I guess you aren't willing to talk?" Asked Naruto who was looking up.
"I'm surprised that you are here considering that you alone. We will capture you." Said Konan raising her arm into the air and throwing a few paper shurikens at Naruto.
Doing hand signs Naruto shot a stream of fire at Konan. Dodging the fire ball attack, konan jumped towards Naruto with a paper blade in hand and attacked Naruto.
Removing his sword from his sheath naruto blocked the attack and notice how durable Konan blade was. The two clash and sparks was sent flying. Naruto was able to push back Konan as she jumped back and landed on the ground. She started to float before her body turned into paper as she grew paper wings.
Naruto eyes widened in shock as he watch a person float for the first time ever. Konan shot a barrage of paper kunais and shurikens at Naruto, causing Naruto to fight back with a huge fire ball Jutsu. The two was in a intense jutsu struggle as the two tried to push back the other.
Canceling his Jutsu naruto jumped out the way of the barrage of attacks before spitting black oil onto Konan.
"It's Bird oil, if I use a fire attack your cooked." Said Naruto.
"Summoning Jutsu." Said a voice behind Konan as a crab summoning slammed through the wall behind Konan shooting out a large stream of water at konan removing the oil. While in the process shooting a large stream of water where Naruto stood.
Jumping on the wall Naruto dodge the attack as he looked at the newcomer. He wore the Akatsuki rhobe and had purple ring eyes. He didn't see him in the Bingo book and could only guess who this was.
"So you're the leader of Akatsuki?" Asked Naruto.
"What if I am, What if I'm not, Nine tails." Said the Orange hair man.
"That confirms it." Said Naruto staring daggers at the leader.
"I'm going to kill you, for what you did to Jiraiya, and all of the Jinchuurikis you captured!" Yelled Naruto.
Author Notes: I think this is a decent length chapter. We about to get into the Pain vs Naruto fight I'm excited. Tell me what yall think of this chapter and how the story and characters are progressing so far. Throughout this chapter we get to see some character development for Hinata. Not a lot but some character development. No other characters this chapter other than Naruto, Hinata being the focal point. Next chapter will be about the whole Naruto vs pain fight and the truth about Naruto gets revealed. Stuff is getting spicy.
