Chapter 14: Scroll
-Konha Hyuga compound-
Hinata paced back and force In her room. It was nightfall and she was still deciding her decision to take apart of this mission. Tsunade the 5th Hokage was out drinking with friends. Which made the hokage tower empty due to the anbu always traveling with tsunade in the shadows.
The main question that pegged her mind was, is she ready to leave everything behind. Leave her family behind, leave her friends behind and leave her village behind for one boy. But that boy wasn't no ordinary boy he was the love of her life.
She looked at the black outfit that laid on her bed. She was currently wearing shorts and a bra. She gripped her hair trying to pull it out. "What do I do?" Questioned Hinata to herself.
She started thinking of the good memories. Yeah it was barely none to begin with. She didn't really enjoy hanging with her friends. Didn't care to really go on missions when she was younger. And was basically a outcast by her family. To be honest it was really nothing to lose.
Making up her mind hinata put on the all black outfit before opening her window. She climbed down the wall before jumping onto a tree. She looked back at the compound for one last time before making her way over to the hokage office.
While jumping roofs to roofs she noticed the streets were a bit more crowded than usual. Maybe because Tsunade was in the public area. Making it to the hokage office Hinata climbed throw the window before checking her surroundings. She hid her chakra to the point even anbu will have a bit trouble finding it. Not to mention she barely had any to start with. She opened the door to the office before closing it and making her ways through the hallways.
"5 doors down to the right." Said the voice of Naruto through Hinata head. She saw the door but saw a anbu guarding the door.
Hinata dug in her pocket before taking out a stress ball. She tossed the ball in a opposite direction catching the anbu attention. The Anbu went to go check it out as Hinata snuck up behind him with a wire. She wrapped it around the Anbu member neck catching him off guard. She pulled tighter as the two feel towards the ground. The anbu struggled against the wire as he saw his vision going bleary.
Hinata pulled tighter and tighter before she felt the Anbu member go limp in her arms. Her eyes widened in shock and horror at realizing what she just did. She laid there on the ground for about a solid five minutes before touching the man pulse. She felt a faint pulse and let out a breathe of relief.
Hinata pushed the body off her before stumbling to the door. She tried opening it only to realize it was lock and it needed a key. Turning back to the anbu she checked his pockets and found a key to the door.
Opening the door Hinata looked in awe at the room. It was filled with scrolls and books. But the scroll that stood out was the scroll In he middle of the room in a glass case. It was just how Naruto described it. She walked towards the scroll before staring at it.
"This, This contains a lot." Thought Hinata as she tried to remove the glass over the scroll. It didn't budge one bit causing Hinata to get a little frustrated. She cocked her fist back before punching the glass. Her fist went through the glass as she removed her fist before punching it again and again until it shatter into a million tiny pieces.
She grabbed the Scroll of seals before stripping it to her back. She walked out the room before running away not looking back. She went back to the Hokage office leaving the same way as she enter. When she looked down at the streets she saw Sakura, Ten Ten and Ino walking to a nearby store talking. She frowned before jumping on the roof of the Hokage mansion.
She used her Byakugan to scan the village as she tried to search for a exit with less Guards. She saw a exit that only had two Guards but the two looked as if they was about to drop unconscious due to being tired. Rushing towards the exist Hinata had to sneak past the two sleepy Guards before finally making out the village.
She traveled a good amount of distance before taking a scroll out her jacket. It was the summoning scroll Naruto gave her. Dropping the scroll to the ground it glowed blue before a puff of smoke surrounded the area. She saw a large eagle with a blank expression staring at her. It screech at her before it looked around checking his surroundings.
"I need you to take me to your master, Naruto." Said Hinata.
It screech at her again before looking annoyed. "What makes you think I would do that? Who the hell are you anyway?" Asked the Eagle.
Hinata stared at the Eagle as it talked. She knew Summoning animals can talk but never knew they was rude.
"I was requested by your Master Naruto, to take this scroll to him." Said Hinata again.
The Eagle looked at the scroll before just looking at the sky. "What makes you think I want to do that?" Asked the Eagle Shocking Hinata.
"What? Aren't you supposed to obey your summoner?" Asked Hinata.
"Hmph I checked the list and I didn't see your name on the list." Said the Eagle picking it's ear with it's wing.
"B-But I was ordered by Naruto for you to take me to him when I retrieved the scroll. Why aren't you listening?" Asked Hinata who was getting worried by the second. Anbu could be on her any minute now.
"I only listen to my summoner, which you are not." Replied the Eagle.
"Please! I was told by Naruto himself for me to summon you and bring him this scroll he desires this scroll by any means necessary. Dis obeying me and disobeying your master. Now please take me to him." Said Hinata trying to persuade the Eagle.
"You really not going let this up aren't you?" Asked the Eagle which Hinata just stared back.
The eagle sighed in frustration. "I was taking a good nap also." Whined the Eagle before letting Hinata on his back before taking off in the direction of Naruto.
-Currently with Naruto-
Naruto stood in front of a mirror inside of a bathroom. He stared at his reflection with a blank expression. Tying his hair up into a bun he put shaving cream on the growing beard. He then took a razor before slowly shaving of his facial hair. He now had a clean shave look to him making him look less of a man but more of a pretty boy. He sat the razor down on the counter top before putting on his casual clothes. Which consisted of a black short sleeve shirt with white shorts.
Leaving the bathroom he walked to the small room Madara had set up for him. If he had to admit he was tired of living in caves and warehouses. He wanted to sleep in a comfortable bed in a nice large house. He sat on his bed before putting on his shinobi sandals. He looked in the corner of the room, looking at his sword.
"Nah, I don't need it. All I'm doing is going on a walk." Thought Naruto before leaving his room and coming face to face with Madara.
"Creep, Just sitting there outside my room." Said Naruto.
"Have you made up your mind?" Asked Madara.
"Yes I've already made up my mind. I will destroy all who hurt me and my clan. Which includes Konoha, Iwa and Kumo. After that I'm not really sure what to do but I don't plan on being all buddy buddy's with someone who won't hesitate to kill me by sucking out all the chakra into some statue. Besides what is your goal anyway?" Asked Naruto.
"My goal is to bring peace. I want to capture all Nine jinchuuriki to create a powerful weapon where nobody can stand against us." Explained Madara.
"Well you know I was doing some thinking after my talk with Nagato. I couldn't really place my finger on all of this peace stuff yall talk about. But in my opinion peace doesn't exist, it's only temporary peace. What happens when the whole world try to overthrown you what then? You won't have the support of anyone but the weapon you so call created. But also if it comes to the point where we have to fight in a life or death situation I won't hold back and I doubt you will too. All I want to do in my life is destroy those who brought hell on me and restore my clan and live a peaceful life in my own village my own home and isolate myself from this world."
"Peace maybe don't exist but I can at least bring peace to myself it's something you have to find. Just ask yourself what makes you happy? What makes you feel at ease? The stuff that make me feel happy is my friends my team, Jugo, Suigetsu and karin. I may not show it but everytime I'm around them they make me happy inside. And I will do anything to protect them. Now before you go threw with you world domination plan, you should think about what makes you feel joy." Said Naruto before walking pass Madara.
Madara stared at the ground as Naruto words kinda hit him hard. But the thing that brought him joy was already taken from him.
Naruto left the underground hideout as he stared at the shining moon. He closed his eyes as he let the wind blow his hair and face. He placed his hands in his pockets before jumping on a nearby tree.
"I guess I can have a little stroll." Thought Naruto as he started to tree hop to a Nearby village. When he reached the village he went to a small store. He didn't really mind eating some snacks which it actually been years since he even had a bag of chips. Paying for the chips Naruto took a stroll down the empty streets as he quietly ate his chips.
"I adore this." Thought Naruto enjoying the night and enjoying the peace and quiet. He was so lost in his thoughts he found himself near a small pond that had a bench nearby. Sitting on the bench he looked at the pond looking at his reflection.
"Who would've thought, That some day I turn out like this." Thought Naruto before looking at the moon.
He sense some sit on the bench next to him as he turned to see a familiar face.
"Hinata?" Questioned Naruto.
Hinata gave him a smile before showing him the scroll. "This is what you wanted right?" Questioned Hinata.
Naruto eyes focus on the scroll as it slowly grew wider and wider. "I didn't actually expect for you to go through with it." Said Naruto staring at Hinata.
"You really did this for me? Leaving behind everything for me?" Asked Naruto.
Hinata blushed and turned around. "Just take it, it's what you wanted." Said Hinata shoving the scroll towards Naruto.
Naruto just stared at her before slowly taking the scroll. He sat it on the ground before opening it. "Just like I remember." Thought Naruto as he sat on the ground looking through the scroll.
"Hey Hinata come here." Said Naruto patting on the grass next to him, gesturing for her to sit next to him. She sat next to him as they look through the large scroll talking about the many jutsus they can learn.
"Look right here. It's the jutsu I learned when I stole it as a kid, The multi shadow clone jutsu." Said Naruto placing a finger on the name of the jutsu.
"What's this one?" Asked Hinata pointing to the one next to it. The name listed reaper death seal.
"I don't know but it sounds dangerous so maybe we shouldn't try doing anything that list "death" in it." Said Naruto before rolling of the scroll.
"Thanks Hinata, Now I can finally grow more stronger." Said Naruto as he laid down on the grass staring up at the moon.
"Um, so what does this mean for me? Do I just leave?" Asked Hinata.
"Hm? That's your decision I did say if you get this scroll you can stay with me but I won't force you to do anything." Said Naruto.
Hinata smiled as she laid next to him on the grass. "So tell me, What have you been up to sense leaving the village?" Asked Hinata.
"Well mainly I just trained with orochimaru for 3 years. He taught me how to control the curse mark, Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and kenjutsu. He didn't teach me any genjutsu techniques but he told me how to break out of them. Then when he was sick I took a opportunity and killed him." Said Naruto.
Hinata felt a slight shiver hearing Naruto killed someone. Even tho she was a ninja she never took another person life.
"Why did you kill him?" Asked Hinata.
"Well because he was sick and there's was nothing left for me to learn. Second he would've taken over my body at any chance he got. Third if he was to take over my body he would be a threat and he would've dragged my name through the mud. Fourth I did it for the old man hokage. He thought I forgot what he did to the hokage but I never forgotten." Explained Naruto.
"I also recruited my own team that consists of Jugo, Suigetsu and Karin. We call ourselves team Hebi. After that I fought Deidara of the Akatsuki, he was a powerful opponent I almost lost. Then that's when i found yall hot on my trail I left to learn sage mode before coming back to fight the Leader of Akatsuki. He was also a tuff opponent but I came out with the victory and here I am." Summarize Naruto.
"Hey I also have a question, What has konoha been like after I left?" Asked Naruto who was genuinely curious.
"Well to be fully honest the village itself seemed like a upgrade. The houses and buildings looks much better. The streets and parks are cleaner than usual. They even throw party's once in a while. And the village as a whole seemed more happier. But I couldn't really care about that stuff. My relationship with my family just got worse and worse, To the point the only people I talk to was Neji and my sister Hanabi. My relationship with my friends also drastically went down I only really spoke to Sakura as she was the only person I can really call my friend." Explained Hinata.
"Wow, So after I left they saw it as a opportunity to just upgrade the village as a whole. I mean I was just there but I didn't even notice how different the village was." Said Naruto even tho he only been to three places which was Hinata house, the park and the hotel.
"How about the old man and his daughter?" Asked Naruto.
"They also been doing good it's no longer a stand but a restaurant. They also have a meal named after you." Said Hinata.
"Oh I guess that's the reason why I couldn't find them." Thought Naruto before standing up.
"Alright let's go." Said Naruto strapping the scroll onto his back.
"Where are we going?" Asked Hinata who stood up and caught up with Naruto.
"To the hideout I'm at as of now." Said Naruto as the two walked towards the hideout. The two enter as they made their way to Naruto room.
"Here's my small room." Said Naruto taking off his shoes and setting them to the side. He placed the scroll in a corner before sitting on the ground. He pulled out a scroll from out of a box before tossing it on the ground. A small puff of smoke surrounded the area before dispersing to show a bunch of weapons.
"Since you're staying with me I decide that I wanted you to train with me. You would be a great sparring partner and this can also help you grow stronger in the process. Here sit down and chose a weapon." Said Naruto as Hinata sat on the other side across from him.
"Look I have swords, axes, bow and arrows, Scythes. Which one do you want?" Asked Naruto who was picking up and showcasing a weapon.
"I don't know if a weapon fits me." Said Hinata.
Naruto deflated, he wasted his time showing her all these cool weapons just for her to said it wasn't for her. Naruto sighed, "Alright Hinata no weapon? I guess we can start training from the scroll soon." Said Naruto as he cleaned everything up.
"You can have the bed, it's not comfortable but it's at least better than the floor." Said Naruto laying on the ground trying to get some sleep.
-Konoha-
A loud scream was heard through the village coming from the hokage mansion.
"The scroll." Thought Shizune as she ran towards the office of Tsunade. She burst through the door to see Tsunade laying her head on the desk. Tsunade shot up and looked at Shizune. "What happened? I heard you scream?" Asked Tsunade.
"The scroll the forbidden scroll is gone! Someone took it and knocked out the anbu guard!" Said Shizune with a worried look.
"Huh!!" Yelled Tsunade as she shot out of her chair and ran out the door. She checked the room and to her fears shizune was correct. The scroll was gone. She turned around to see the unconscious anbu and rushed towards him. She performed medical Ninjutsu, waking him up.
A squad of Anbu soon appeared as they stood behind Tsunade.
"What happened here?" Asked Tsunade to the Anbu who was waking up. The Anbu rubbed his throat as it burned.
"I was attacked, I couldn't sense their chakra. They was too quick but I able to tell it was a female due to the person slim body and smell. They attacked be from the back and choked be out with a ninja wire, I couldn't perform any jutsus as I saw the light leave my eyes. I'm sorry lord Hokage." Apologized the Anbu.
"Go get Tsume Inuzuka and Kiba Inuzuka to scout out the area. I want to know who did this!" Growled out Tsunade as she watched the Anbu team leave but the one who was on the ground.
"Do you have any other injuries?" Asked Tsunade.
"No Lord hokage, only a sour throat." Said the Anbu who was still rubbing his throat.
"I apologize this is all my fault, I shouldn't had left out and left you all alone. I'm sorry." Apologize Tsunade folding her arms.
Ten minutes passed as the Anbu appeared with Kiba and Tsume Inuzuka. Kiba was still limping from his injuries as he had Akamaru sniff out the area.
"What happened Lord Hokage?" Asked Kiba as he wasn't told why he was here.
"Someone stole something very Valuable from the village and attacked one of my Anbu." Said Tsunade.
The sniffing took only a few minutes as the sent was very very familiar. Akamaru whimper when he found out who did the crime.
"What is it Akamaru?" Asked Kiba.
Akamaru barked to Kiba speaking in dog language. When Kiba heard the words come out Akamaru mouth his eyes widened in shock.
"What? That can't be right!" Said Kiba.
"Who took it?" Asked Tsunade who grabbed onto Kiba jacket.
"Akamaru Said it was Hinata." Said Kiba who still couldn't belive what he heard or was saying. Tsunade let go of Kiba and took a few steps back. "Hinata?" Questioned Tsunade.
"No! I refuse to belive that! Hinata is too kind she would never do anything like this!" Said Kiba as he limped out the Hokage building towards Hinata house.
"Please let this be a dream?" Thought Kiba as tears rolled down his eyes.
"Hinata would never right? Right?" Asked Kiba to himself.
"Even if she did someone manipulated her into doing so. She's to kind to do crimes." Thought Kiba as he continued his way through the streets. He made a turn as he saw the Hyuga mansion. He quickened his pace as he reached the mansion and buzzed the gate door.
A hyuga clan member came to the gate and looked at Kiba with a scowl. "What do you want? It's late." Said the hyuga guard.
"I need to see Hinata right now! It's important the hokage need her." Said Kiba.
The guard sighed. "I go get her just stay out here." Said the Guard before walking away.
A few minutes passed as the guard came walking back.
"She's not here, come back another time." Said the Guard giving Kiba the look before walking away.
All Kiba could do was just stand there he was in complete disbelief.
"Hinata would never do that. She must've been forced some how." Thought Kiba.
-Next day-
Naruto woke up on the hard cold floor. To say he slept good was a understatement. He had a nice dream that he was destroying konoha. He sat up before yawning. Standing up he saw Hinata was still asleep. "She must not be a morning person." Thought Naruto before getting dressed and walking out the room. He went towards the exit before meeting with Madara.
"Up early I see." Said Madara who appeared out of nowhere.
"Are you stalking me or what?" Asked Naruto.
"No." Lied Madara.
"I just happened to be leaving when you were leaving. Are you heading out to train?" Asked Madara.
"No, I was heading out to go eat breakfast." Said Naruto before walking away.
"Oh by the way who is that girl you brought with you? She look like the fellow leaf member I fought to stall time for sasuke to fight itachi." Said Madara.
"Yeah she's a hyuga, she will be assisting me in my training." Said Naruto.
"You trust her?" Asked Madara.
"If she was willing to go so far into stealing from konoha for my needs, yes I will trust her." Said Naruto before walking away from the conversation.
Naruto headed to the nearest village before making himself inside of a small store. He ordered something light, ordering a fish sandwich with some rice on the side. It was one of his favorite quick meals to get his day started.
"I wonder what new Jutsu should I learn?" Thought Naruto. He was low on some water Ninjutsu so that was the first that came to mind. He listed of his abilities on his hands that he was a master at. "Fire I'm a master at, wind I'm a master at, and lighting I'm a master at. So water and earth is what I need to focus on." Thought Naruto.
-what should I do now? I'm so bored I can literally do anything to satisfy me." Thought Naruto as he looked around the village trying to find something to do. One store caught his eye. It was a salon, He looked at his apperceive through the glass window. He looked good but maybe a make over wouldn't hurt right? Entering the store it was surprisingly empty with only one worker who was looking in a mirror. The worker turned around and smiled towards Naruto.
"We just opened you're our first customer." Said the lady who put on a apron. "Do you know what you want?" Asked The lady.
Naruto sat in the chair before picking up a manual. He looked at the different hair options before picking a pacific one. It was shoulder length curly hair. "Do you think my hair I long enough to get this?" Asked Naruto.
The lady removed naruto bun, as his hair dropped down pass his shoulders. "Yes but if you want it exactly like this." Said the lady pointing to the picture. "I will have to trim some of your Hair." Said the Lady.
"Do what you have to do and make it black." Said Naruto wanting to remove any resemblance to his dead beat dad. The process took around thirty minutes until the lady was finish. Naruto looked in the mirror and let out a small smile. His new black hair mix with light blue eyes just made his look magical. Even the hair dresser was blushing. Naruto played with his hair moving the shreds of hair out his face.
"How much?" Asked Naruto.
"Only 130 Ryo." Said the Hairdresser. Instead of paying the hairdresser 130 Ryo he paid her a lot more than that.
"Thank you." Said Naruto with a genuine smile on his face as he left out the store.
"Ahh onto the next." Said Naruto as he spent the rest of his day shopping.
-Konoha-
Tsunade was in her office shaking. She had just made one of the hardest decisions as a hokage. She was forced to put Hinata in the Bingo book as an A rank missing ninja. The reward for finding and bringing her back was 5 million Ryo due to the hyuga clan being desperate to get Hinata back. She didn't have a price on her head if you was to kill her was the only good thing. As it wasn't confirmed if Hinata left on her own or was forced to to do something and taken away by someone else.
Everyone was stressing as the forbidden scroll of seals was one if not the most precious item to Konoha. Due to that the whole village was on lockdown even the anbu was patrolling the streets to see if they found any notice of Hinata or any clue that would lead to Hinata. So far they received absolutely nothing.
"I wish Jiraiya was here. He would know what to do." Thought Tsunade.
-Hyuga compound-
"Look I don't care about the stuff! I just want you to find my daughter!" Yelled Hiashi at the anbu who was in his house. Hanabi stood on the stairs listening to the conversation with a worry expression.
"Hinata is gone." Thought Hanabi who wanted to cry. She saw the anbu walking up the stairs and ran back up towards her room.
"What happened to Hinata?" Thought Hanabi.
The anbu entered Hinata room as it was the only place he didn't search. Which was stupid of him in the first place.
He scavenge through her stuff, her clothes, her ninja equipment everything in her closet.
Everything was sitting neatly as if she made up her room before she left or was taken. He went up to her desk and found two books under a pile of paper. One of the books was a book about females and females problems and the other book was a diary book.
The title read "My dare Diary Don't touch unless you're the owner" was the title of the book. Opening the book he read and flipped through some pages. It was the common female Diary book that talked about their lifestyle and what they do, the missions they went on, how she felt, the secrets she knew. But one thing that caught her eye was the name she kept mentioning. Naruto Uzumaki. He found the culprit and it was time to report to the hokage.
-Hokage office-
The anbu appeared in front of the desk with a book in hand.
"You got something?" Asked Tsunade receiving a nod.
The anbu handed her the book before giving her his report.
"I found out what happened. My conclusion to this situation is that she was forced by no other than Naruto Uzumaki." Said the Anbu.
"What!? Naruto had nothing to do with this don't let your bias take over you!" Said Tsunade.
"I'm not but it's the only logical way." Said the Anbu.
"And how is that?" Asked Tsunade.
"When I was looking through the book which is her Diary by the way I noticed she mentions Naruto a lot and I can Cleary tell she have heavy feelings towards him. Also Hinata shouldn't even know where the forbidden scroll is and it's only known to Some chunin who don't leave the village and is known to Jonin that you personally trust. Meaning Hinata shouldn't have no indication of the scroll or where it's at. Mizuki only knew because he was a spy for orochimaru. But if we track back to the time Mizuki got arrested you will know that the only person at that time who knew the exact location of that scroll was Naruto Uzumaki as he was the one who stole it."
"Naruto knew the exact place of the scroll from the previous time he stole it. Naruto must be in some sort of contact with Hinata and Due to Hinata strong feelings towards him you shouldn't even doubt the the amount of stuff she will do for him. It's all in that book she's like a obsessed fan girl but a fan girl who don't show it." Explained the anbu.
"It's safe to say Naruto told her this and she did it to be with him. Who knows what type of deal he made to her." Said the Anbu.
Author Notes: Sorry haven't updated in a while another chapter I rushed in the end due to me taking a test while in school. But before I go want to ask a question. Short chapters that come sooner or longer chapters that will take some time to come out?
