Nya POV: Jumping through a portal is never easy, especially when it's an unknown portal and it makes you feel as if your entire being is swirling with the portal.

When it finally stopped I could feel myself hit the ground. And I hit the ground hard. I groaned as I sat up, and quickly located the others. Fortunately, they were all here and accounted for. They were in the same state as me, so that's good to know.

"I wish that we had the Realm Crystal. That was not a smooth ride." Jay said, rubbing his head.

"It certainly would have helped." Zane responded, being the first one to get up.

Cole and Lloyd followed and I helped Jay up. That's when we looked around our surroundings. And it wasn't a pretty picture. We were standing in this world's version of the gateway, but it was much more worn and run down. The area was a different story as everything was dark and a bloody red hue surrounded everything. Skeletons were scattered around the area as far as we could see. It was an awful sight.

"This is bad…" Cole whispered, covering his mouth with one hand.

"Let's just find Kai and get out of here as quickly as we can." Lloyd said, but he wasn't looking at the area anymore.

"Agreed." I said.

"It might be a good idea if someone stays behind and makes sure that no one tries anything." Zan stated.

"Yeah, okay. Cole and Jay, you guys stay behind while the rest of us search and see what we can find." Lloyd said, and we agreed.

"Hurry back if you can. This place gives me uncomfortable vibes." Jay said, looking around quickly.

"We'll try." I reassured him. And we left after.

We were at the bottom of a slightly big hill, but we didn't feel comfortable climbing it because of all the skeletons on it. But as soon as we walked over to the other side we saw a large pitch black castle-like building that wasn't very far from us.

"I'm guessing that's important." I said.

"Good observation. And that might mean that Kai's over there too." Zane said.

We start to run over, avoiding the skeletons as we go. But there were too many and Lloyd almost tripped over one. Zane caught him and we kept going.

"What happened here to cause this?" He asked, looking at the one he tripped on.

"That's unclear, but my analysis has determined that they all have been dead for a while now." Zane answered.

I didn't want to ask but I said, "...any of them Kai?"

"No, and I'm sure about that." He looked right as he said that.

I nodded and we finally got there. We could clearly see that the whole place was made out of some sort of metallic rock, but there weren't any sort of decorations in this place. It was a little scuffed on the outside, clearly signs that it had been attacked at some point. We made it to a hallway next to the entrance gates and peaked through a window.

And unlike everywhere else there were living people here, two guarding the entrance of a room in the hallway that we came to, and they didn't look friendly. They were all wearing heavy pitch black armor and large blackish grey spears. We could only see small red dots where the eyes should be.

"These guys are clearly dangerous. We should avoid them if we can." Lloyd whispered, with us nodding in agreement.

But then a third burst into the room and ran up to them. They spoke in a language that I couldn't understand and ran off in the direction they came. Once we were sure they were gone we imb through the window.

"That was strange." Lloyd stated.

"Yeah. Could you understand them, Zane?" I asked, looking at him.

"Negative. It's a foreign language to me as well." He answered.

"Let's worry about that later. We need to search this place quickly and quietly before someone-" Lloyd tried to say, only to get interrupted by another one coming through the formerly Guarded door.

They froze when they saw us, but quickly roared and charged. We all dodged out of the way and Zane threw one of his shuriken at their back. However, he moved fast and knocked it away. Then charged right at him, Zane blocked the blow. But he was getting pushed back easily. I jumped in and stabbed towards his ribs. Somehow he sensed me and jumped back, and made me almost hit Zane.

Lloyd pulled out his sword and traded blows with him right after as we recovered. But he kicked Lloyd away as soon as we were on our feet and charged towards me and Zane. I blocked the blow and Zane summoned ice on the ground. I kicked him away and he slipped and fell back, which Lloyd took advantage of and tried to get him in the chest.

However, he managed to get out of the way in time to avoid the hit. But he couldn't stand up and threw his spear at me, though Zane pushed us out of the way. But he got scrapped in the back. He moaned as I got him on his side. He wasn't hurt badly, nothing was broken or exposed, but there was a marking. I heard him charging at us again, and I couldn't waste any time.

I grabbed my weapon and swung behind, and took off his arm. I was shocked when I did it, however that went away when only ash came out instead of blood. He stumbled and fell on his back, and exploded into ash and bones the second he hit the ground. The armor also dissipated into ash and left the skeleton alone. Which looked like the other ones outside.

"...That was an interesting fight." Lloyd said, breaking the silence that followed.

Zane moaned as he managed to get up, hearing that I immediately turned to him and helped him up.

"Are you okay?" I asked as we stood up.

"There's no internal or external damage, the impact just stunned some of my systems." he said, sounding sore.

"You sure?" I was concerned, but he was still moving sluggishly.

"I'm already getting better. Nothing to worry about." He reassured me.

"But if it took three of us to take down one, then Kai's in more trouble than before." Lloyd said, only increasing my worry.

"In other words, we need to hurry." Zane said, stretching out his shoulders.

"Yep." I said, and we all took off.
