Phase 11: Snowfall
The Overseer is not pleased with Seung's failure. "Seems like the agents have escaped the ship and heading for Ion," the Overseer said.
"I doubt they would survive the snowy forests around the island. Abyss creatures are covering the place," a woman said.
"Yes Gwen, they can't reach the town. It's under lockdown by the mayor who is under our payroll from us. You need to kill them off before reaching through that gate which leads to the town deep within the island," the Overseer said.
"Of course, my Undertakers will search the area and wipe them out. Mistress," Gwen said as the radio turned off with the Overseer going over to the head researcher of the main lab complex on Ion. "So did you find the blood from the young woman useful?" the Overseer asked.
"Yes, I did. Seung's obsession with the young woman is our gain. It's perfect for the Valkyrie project the new soldiers for your perfect world," the female researcher said.
"Yes, Miss Linda Bee. It does, the Undertakers are great disposable units but an elite fighting force will be used to maintain my order. The girl will be perfect for cloning and engineering them into perfect warriors," the Overseer said.
"Of course, Mistress. It will be done," Linda said as she has a veil of Rachel's blood which will come in handy for the project. "Along with the Valkyrie serum, everything is coming together," Linda said.
Elsewhere the trio are within the mini-sub heading for the isle of Ion. "We are coming up smoothly, we are going to make landfall shortly," Jack said.
"We need to move fast. The Undertaker units are going to find us right away when we make land," Elza said.
"Yeah at least we can see pretty sights when we get there," Rachel said.
"I heard Ion has some pretty snowy forests and valleys," Jack said.
"Sounds like a place we can go on vacation honey," Rachel said.
"Yeah it would but after this is over," Jack said as Rachel was excited for this.
"I would love to go into a hot tub on top of a snowy mountain like last time," Rachel said.
"That was magical," Jack said as Rachel patted him on the head.
"Always when we are together," Rachel hugs him from behind to shove his large breasts into the back of his head. "Need to rest your head baby?" she asked in a cute bubbly tone.
"Your chest is the best pillow a man can have. Heated too," Jack joked as Elza checked her weapons with her FN57 pistol in good condition, her bullpup shotgun was still good and her new weapon the GL-06 Grenade Launcher still useful but she only had flash grenades wasting all the offensive rounds on the ship.
"I am good to go, we need to find a base of operations to work from," Elza said as they nodded their heads.
"Agreed, I am feeling very sore from all that running," Rachel said as they went to the surface to see the isle of Ion in front of them saw snow-capped mountains and white forests along with a beach they were approaching to settle into the sands.
"Well, time to go into winter wonderland," Jack said.
"We should be okay; we are suited for the cold here. It's about 30-40 degrees outside, we should be fine," Elza said as they exited the mini-sub to be onto the sands to see forests filled with green and white. Patches of snow dot the grasslands under huge trees.
Rachel uses the scope of her rifle to see if anything is nearby. "You feeling warm in that?" Elza asked.
"Oh yes E, I am very nice in this," Rachel said. Jack wields his 10mm pistol to note several globs of flesh onto the beach.
"Oh crap, these are Globsters," Jack fires into the monsters to lift their heads to reveal the weird mouth underneath.
"Oh, these things are here," Rachel said as she pulled out her machine pistol to fire her bullets into the beast as they slid towards the trio. They managed to stop these moving blobs of flesh as some kept moving towards them. Rachel tosses a grenade to blow apart the monsters.
"Well, we should get moving then," Elza said as they went into the forest with a group of Undertakers setting up their radios to let out grunts on the line.
"Seems like they have arrived on the island. Take them out," Gwen said as a squad of Undertakers leaped off the cliff for an Undertaker Scout to set up its sniper rifle to trace their movements through the forest.
"The best chance to find a good place is within a deep cavern. We can set up shop there," Rachel said.
"Sounds good to me," Jack said as he noticed a laser on Rachel's shoulder. "Hey, get down," Jack said to grab her to pull her to the ground to dodge the shot. They see several Undertakers wielding Ak Alfas and MPXs to begin shooting at them.
"Seems like we got the welcoming party," Rachel said as she noticed the sniper glint on a cliff. "I got that guy, you take care of the rest," Rachel said as she wielded her new MDRX 6.5 to adjust the scope to begin counter-sniping the scout on higher ground.
The bullet hits the cliff as the Undertaker Scout moves position trying to shoot Rachel. She changes places to try and outmatch the enemy sniper while the duo is firing the squad of Undertaker Grunts and a Heavy using its machine gun to put pressure on them.
"This is annoying me," Elza said as she moved behind a rock to use her grenade launcher to lob a flashbang to blind the group.
Jack used his pistol to blast them in the head and chest putting them down with half of the Undertaker team remaining with the Heavy. Soon it regains its sight to pepper their positions along the Undertaker Grunts to approach them.
Jack rolls towards the cover while shooting two Grunts to put them down. Elza uses her slugs from her shotgun to drive them into the mutant soldiers' chests to leave the Heavy left.
Rachel is engaged in a sniper duel to manage to strike the solder in the shoulder. It fired its bullet and hit Rachel in the chest but thankfully her special combat bodysuit protected her.
"Lucky me," she thought as she landed a shot cut through the shoulder directly making it useless to use a rifle. "I did it," she said happily to put another bullet through its head killing it instantly. She moves her attention to the big guy wielding a machine gun. "Not so fast," she rapidly shot the armored helmet to strike it a few times to knock it off its head. She follows up with a clean headshot to instantly kill the Heavy.
"Nice one Sunshine," Jack said as Rachel beams at him to nod her head.
"Thanks, seems like they know we are here now," Rachel said.
"Yep they do, we should be near the mountains. We need to find a cave," Jack said as he grabbed a fallen AK Alfa assault rifle which has a 35-round 5.56 magazine with a Hybrid Sight and an underslung M320 Grenade Launcher. "This is an upgrade, an Israeli modern take on an old classic," Jack said as he slung it on his back for them to grab some ammo, grenades, and other things off the dead bodies for them to move towards the mountains.
Rachel got herself a suppressor that can fit onto her DMR able to be snug onto her muzzle perfectly. "This will be nice," she said as they went through the forest to hear howls in the distance. "Sounds terrible," Rachel said.
"Let's not figure out what that is," Elza said as they saw a bunch of blood on the snow. "Oh boy, we jinxed it," Elza said as they saw it trail off into the distance they were going.
"We need to keep going and deal with what is at this blood trail," Jack said.
"Yeah, we can take it out," Rachel said as they raised their weapons to follow the blood trail which had a dead deer floating in the air. "Did the world break or something," Rachel said as Jack fired onto the space to see blood splash onto the snowy ground.
"That is a Farfarello, a hunter enhanced by the T-Abyss. Makes them much bigger, stronger, and quicker as well as gives them camouflage to blend with the environment," Jack said as the Hunter appeared to have the deer within its teeth. It tosses the meat onto the grass as it blends to begin hunting them.
"Gee that thing is over 7 feet tall," Rachel said as they looked down onto the ground to see the monster making footprints in the snow. "Bad move lizard brain," she fires her rifle into the beast to see its thick hide is resisting her shots making it keep going and slashing an Elza.
She raises her grenade launcher to slice it in half making her tumble onto the snow. Jack puts an explosive round into the launcher under his rifle's barrel to lob it at the beast. The blast did some damage to Farfarello's hide weakening it and allowing him to pepper rounds into the beast's weakened sections until it dropped onto the snow dying from the gunshots.
"Seriously what a pain. Poor little deer," Rachel said feeling sorry for the cute deer.
"Nothing we can't do. We are close to the caverns, come on," Jack said as he brushed off his new AK Alfa.
"This is the place," Rachel said as they saw the mouth of the cavern to see Fenrirs coming their way running through the snow.
"Not these doggos again," Elza said as she drew her FN57 to pop them with bullets with some of them rushing for them. Rachel kicks a Fenrir away from her best friend as she fires her CPW 5.7 into the head of the infected wolf killing it. "Nice save," Elza said.
"No problem," Rachel said as she reloaded her machine pistol to pepper the canines to cut them down. Jack fires his rifle to take down the Fenrirs until there are none left to fight.
"Let's go before more show up," Jack said as they went into the cave to see a long tunnel that goes in different directions to go deep within the caverns.
"Gee this is a long way inside," Elza said.
"Better that way, easier to evade monsters or soldiers here," Jack said to see a door to an old bunker.
"A bunker, huh," Jack said.
"It's an American design, there were a ton of theses within this region here back in WW2," Elza said.
"This is awesome," Rachel said opening the door to see the inside is quite spacious and is well preserved with multiple rooms with furniture and beds that seem in good shape. "This makes a perfect base," he said.
"Indeed," Rachel said as they all were taking their rooms with them putting their guns in an armory room.
"Seems someone was here alright. Using it but it looks not it not been used for a while," Elza said.
"No personal belongings here. It's ourselves now," Rachel said as her feet were killing her to go into the couple's room. "Oh, I need to rest up. This day has gotten crazy," Rachel said as she sat on the bed with her boyfriend sitting beside her.
"Well, we got each other right," he said as she kissed him on the lips.
"Of course, I got the love of my life and my best friend on my side. We can't lose," Rachel said with her usual bright smile.
"I love you brightness, brings some good within this darkness," Jack said.
"Thanks," Rachel pulls off her battle suit to be in her underwear allowing her skin to breathe. "Oh my, that is the stuff," she said to put her suit away. Jack sees her huge chest jigging in her white sports bra making it very distracting to watch. "Like what you see baby?" she asked.
"Every time," Jack said as he saw her big booty in her blue boyshorts panties to give it a nice slap to watch it bounce under her underwear.
"Oh, so good," Rachel said as she helps take off Jack's clothing to leave him in his boxers to gaze at his lean chest and cute butt. "You are so delicious," she said to trace her slender finger along his chest.
"You can have me later. Let's get some sleep," Jack said as they got into the bed to feel cozy under the sheets. Rachel lays her head on his warm chest to enjoy his presence for they enjoy some rest from the chaos outside.
