Notes:
This fic is written for Truffy Fest Zine 2023 and inspired from my other fic: When Sun Fell Into My Pocket!
I am extremely sorry to the person who had given me the prompt 74. Writing this fic was an epic journry. My laptop broke, and I had to type it all on the phone. So editing took a long time. And then I caught mold allergy, almost lost my job, so yeah sad author life caught me. There are still many typos and errors, which I couldn't clean. Please forgive me.
The prompt was: Nika Luffy wants Law, and he'll make sure the world knows.
So tired, I took inspiration from Bluebeard's Seven Wives, but made it fluffy, and set against the drop back of war. Nothing better than meeting the love of your life in battlefield, right?
But what if the Bluebeard here, aka our Nika Luffy is an emperor who remembers all his past life and is always looking for his one soulmate— aka Law.
That's how this fic was born.
Prologue
Trafalgar D Water Law was heartbroken.
The man he loved, his one true love, his soulmate, was married. Married not once or twice, but married six times.
And as if the pain of this information was not enough, his family was not consoling him either, instead, they wanted him to accept the position of being the Emperor's seventh wife, in his case male-wife!
"I really can't understand you, child, you are almost forty, why can't you agree to this marriage?" Law's father huffed as he wrote down the list of raw materials they needed to buy the next morning. "Your mother told me you are crying every night if you love him so much, why are you wallowing in this pain? People die of heartache, you know? You can be the ruler of this empire, but you choose to suffer in overthinking!"
"Yeah, tell him, Dad!" Law's younger sister Lamy added her support from one corner of the backroom.
Law had no answer, he was at his wit's end. Heartbreak couldn't be justified easily, in his case he had explained to his family multiple times, that he didn't wish to be someone's male-wife, wife, husband or spouse, if they already had six wives in their castle! Now he was suffering from guilt, guilt of loving someone so magnificent that he felt selfish.
"You better say yes, before that Emperor Lover of yours does something drastic!" Law's mother walked into the backroom carrying the fresh herbs and minerals, that needed to be dried under the scorching afternoon sun. "Lamy, take these out! Dry this girl."
Without a fuss, the teen took the herbs and walked out quickly, only to return even faster. "Why are you back with these?" Their mother asked. Lamy had returned with a pale face, as if a ghost had visited her in their kitchen garden.
"Answer your Mom." Their father scolded, finding no reaction, the head of the family continued, "Look at this girl, she learned her attitude from Law"
Finding no reply, the elder brother went to his sister, "Lamy what happened?" Law pressed his palms on his sister's cheeks. "Why are you cold?" The teen girl stood there like a statue in front of her family, clenching hard on the tray of herbs.
"Did something happen?" Both parents rushed to the teen, fearing the worst. "Did anyone hurt you?"
After a long pause, the teen spoke, "The sun is gone!"
It all had begun a little less than two years ago and a little more than a year back when the Healer had volunteered to serve in Emperor Nika's army at the ripe age of thirty-six.
Law had joined the biggest battalion of Empire Nika's army. After six months of strenuous training with the royal medical clinic, being appreciated for his amputation and stitches skills which he had been trained for since the age of six, he had been sent right into the heart of the war.
The love of his life had arrived at his tent in the middle of the night, a week after he had joined the main camp. Begging, rather, asking for help, the begging part was hidden in his scratchy voice, but the dark, actually almost pink eyes didn't lie— he was desperate to save his people.
The troops had just ambushed one of the largest strongholds of their enemies, called Enies Lobby. The victory was not easy, the Healer had heard, how the Emperor Nika's Holy Knights had fought for thirteen days without a break to take over the stronghold. After that, Law had spent the entire first week of his new job looking after the soldiers who had lost a part of them to cannonballs, guns, and fire.
When the Healer rushed to let the soldier in, after he stepped inside he had looked at him, examining him top to bottom—with a stunned expression stuck in his eyes and with a stutter he had asked, "Yo—you? Why are you here?"
Law was still fixing his apron and didn't notice the surprise in his voice or eye, and nor was the Healer startled by the question, many people reacted similarly to his presence. "I am a Healer."
"I am aware of what you are professional, dearest, I am asking why are you in this camp. Why here?"
"The royal clinic sent me after the exemplary performance. It may not look like it, but I can amputate and reconstruct certain body parts."
"Roooooobin!" The man had almost growled like an injured dog. This animalistic display of distress had finally made the Healer look at the man properly.
Law's first vision of him was — a foot shorter, a man with tremendous arm strength, and he had scruffy raven hair which was sticky for unfortunate reasons. And he was drenched in the blood, seeing the Healer's expression the soldier had dismissed his worries— "Blood of the enemies. These two need your care." He was slinging a golden-haired injured Knight on his shoulder like a sack of flour, and carrying another green-haired Knight like a sack of rotten grapefruits. With hasty but determined steps, he had walked in and dropped both on the makeshift wooden workstation, walked away into a corner and sat down.
"I assume, you go by the name of Law in this lifetime as well? What precedes the name Law?"
"Healer Trafalgar Law."
"Law the Seventh?" Not many knew, but Law was born in a family where names were repeated often, so hearing that this person guessed he was the seventh Law in his bloodline came as a surprise.
"Seventh indeed."
"Heal them, Law."
The lack of honorific should've warned the Healer that he was in the presence of someone majestic, but the injured took precedence. Wasting no time, he had stripped his patients with his pocket knife, and worked alternatively on both the men spread across the table— he cleaned them with the last buckets of hot water that had turned lukewarm, stitched their deep wounds, and layered them with medicinal herbs, wrapped them up and finally cast healing spells on them. By the time Law had fed the two unconscious men their potions, dawn was nearing, and a realization seeped in with the first rays, the man who had dragged the injured was quiet.
The soldier had sat in that one corner the entire time and just looked; Law wanted to believe he was looking at his friends. But the prickling feeling on his neck said otherwise. The man was looking at him.
Those eyes were unsettling— Law couldn't say if it was because of their situation or just the man himself. He took more than one glance at him, the soldier's eyes were dark, but there were traces of pink in his pupils— Law would've called it unnatural, but he was blessed with golden eyes too. Reasoning it as caused by fatigue , Law tapped on his workstation after four hours and broke the man away from his trance.
The solider's eyes scanned Law again, from top to bottom, which made Law self-conscious all of a sudden.
Immediately, the Healer's thoughts had spiralled to worse.
Wearing full-sleeved high-neck shirts and loose trousers could hide the uneven skin tone he was born with. What about the face? Years back, he hid what he called his patches with cheap cakey foundations found in the flea markets, but not any more. Yet being looked at directly always unsettled him. But coming to The Spade Kingdom changed everything! Law tossed aside his inexpensive foundations and concealers and walked around in his natural skin, which made his parents and sister so happy.
So Law decided to play offensive and commanded the soldier; if he were going to stare rudely, he wouldn't care for courtesy either.
"You come here."
"Me"
"Is there anyone else left?"
"I am not injured." The man shrugged and pointed at his face, "I told you it is not my blood!"
"We are in the midst of a war! No one is ever unscathed. I am sure once I clean you up, I will find your blood oozing out too! Come here."
"Someone is bossy!" There was a wide grin that followed the words. "Always the one giving orders, eh?" Law noticed the change of tonality in the man's voice.
"Someone is cocky!"
"Fine! Fine! I never win against you, do I?" He stood up and shook his head, as if he was used to Law's nagging, and walked towards the Healer. Then he looked up and observed the Healer again, there was a strange jolly glint in his eyes— if Law was honest, there was lunacy in them. Finally, he locked his pink gaze on Law's golden eyes, there was a sigh which turned into a soft smile. "What do I do? Law."
Law was used to people looking at him with curiosity, he knew why this man was trying to wiggle out of his care. People always avoided his care because of his vitiligo, fearing it as a communicable disease.
Finding employment as a Healer was not hard when people didn't see him, he always worked in the backrooms of hospitals or behind a mask when performing surgery, he was mostly reputed for amputation skills. After he had become famous many people came to remove their body parts like breasts, penis etc, and then he had to learn how to reconstruct vaginas and breasts too, in his former country. In his little world of medicine, he was loved, and he cared for people.
But then war broke out, the capital was ransacked by the Celestial Dragons and there was only one option, flee to the Spade Kingdom, the stronghold of Emperor Nika's Empire.
Immediately after his family got accepted, Law offered his services as a Healer. Though refugees were not asked to fight for Emperor Nika, those who had lost everything and wanted revenge against Celestial Dragons joined the army.
Law's father wanted to volunteer, but he was not young enough to join the Nika army. His sister was too young to enrol in the army as well, and the empire was against dragging mothers to war. Emperor Nika believed in protecting the mothers and children most — rumours on the street were the Emperor lost his mother to the atrocities of Celestial Dragons.
Being a Healer who could perform surgeries, Law, was in his thirty-sixth year when he offered himself, expecting to be rejected for his skin tone. But to his surprise, no one in the Spade Kingdom or the Nika army cared about his looks.
Against his enrolment, he got a hefty amount of gold coins; which made sure his family had a new home and a fresh start. Still, it was not surprising that people would look at him with curiosity, but till this day, ever since he joined the army, no one had looked at him the way this blood-drenched man was looking.
Every inch of Law's skin was itching with awareness.
Pushing aside the feeling of this consciousness, Law ordered him.
"Strip."
"Ain't you fast? Shouldn't we court first?" The bloody face smiled like a fool at the Healer shamelessly, his voice had turned shy all of a sudden. "Like go on a date or have tea or something?"
"Are you flirting with me?"
"Obviously, I am not a fool enough to kiss you with bloody lips now am I? Especially with someone else's blood on them."
Law had never been flirted with nor looked at with desire; so it was hard for him to decipher what the man's words actually meant. He didn't know how to respond. "Don't joke around! Strip." He pulled on the soiled armours and clothes and began the task.
"You really are fast, Law!"
"Healer! Healer Law!"
"For me, you are Law, in every lifetime! It's still a mystery how we always end up with the same name!"
"What?"
Law didn't stop unbuckling and unbuttoning, while the short man yapped around. "You are my soulmate. You just haven't realized it yet."
"Soulmate? When did that happen?"
"When the planet was young, and you were shining in the sky like an egg, and I was the SUN!."
"Are you done with rubbish speak?" Law, despite the rising anger, couldn't stop marvelling at the body his fingers touched. The man was built differently; the Healer wanted to compliment his muscles and physique, but decided to threaten him instead. "And I will feed you a potion made of devil's trumpet!"
"Poison won't kill me."
"Why?"
"I am a Go—" The man stopped mid-sentence when he saw Law already frown, "I am strong. We get trained to become poison resistant."
"So were the Nefertiti family blessed with the royal bloodlines! Look at them! King Kobra got killed by poison too, and Princess Vivi had to become Emperor Nika's third wife! Now she is being followed around by the second jealous wife everywhere!"
"I don't think the second queen is jealous of the third queen. No one is jealous of anyone in that Castle. Otherwise, —"
"Everyone knows about it! The second queen is jealous of the third queen! Why would she follow her all the way to Sakura Island immediately after Emperor and Princess Vivi married?"
"That gossip has not died? The marriage happened fifteen years ago! I bet both forgot about it!"
Law ignored the soldier's words and continued, "Poor third queen, from a princess and future heir, is now relegated to the position of a decorated diplomatic queen with no power! When in reality she is just a bedmate just so that she can save her kingdom. And on top of it, has to deal with jealous wives! And might I remind you of the fates of the other princesses! I wonder how the Empress deals with Emperor Nika's philandering cock and his addiction to marrying in new queens!"
Hearing such angry words, the soldier broke into a cough, "I am sure it's not like that! It's all political marriage — sign on the paper and nothing more. They needed the Nika army's help, and the easiest way to form an alliance is marriage— you know, easy legality."
"And there are children! Eight of them? If he decides to get more queens, he will create a little army of his own! I am grateful that he offered us refuge, but how can he marry six times!" Law was very opinionated when it came to love and loyalty. He was also highly critical of Emperor Nika's marriages.
"It is all an alliance…" The man tried to make the Healer understand.
"I understand, that doesn't mean a man should get married six times! This is disrespectful to all the women! Why couldn't Emperor Nika offer support as friendship? Is monogamy a joke?"
The Healer was very angry and offended, on behalf of the six queens! Especially the youngest one, the beloved People's Princess of his former country, Dressrosa, was married to Emperor Nika as well as his sixth wife at the tender age of fourteen! Everyone in Dressrosa knew Princess Rebecca wanted to give up on her title to travel with her father! But the Celestial Dragons ruined it all, and if that humiliation was not enough, she was now a child-bride to an almost 40-year-old Emperor!
"You really have strong opinions about marriage and fidelity!"
"I do! People should marry for love only!"
"Understood! Let's get marri— ouchhhh!" Law pinched the exposed sticky arms with all his strength. "Dear Healer Law! Could you be a little gentle?"
"Why, I thought you were not injured!" Law huffed, as he ran the fingers on the blood-splattered body to examine it. "We will need hot water to clean you! I don't have elemental magic. Wait half an hour, let me ask someone…" The half-naked man held Law's wrist to stop him from leaving his tent. "I will not use cold water!"
"Just bring that bucket. I will warm it."
"What?"
"Bring it please!"
Law did as he was told, the sturdy arm of the soldier lowered, and his thick fingers touched the bucket. Even before a blink had happened, steam began to appear. The Healer stood stupefied as he watched the man clean his dirty face and hair. Law's heart skipped a bit, he had mistaken the soldier to be a young person because of his silly sketchy voice, but his face was, manly. He had traces of a spiky beard sticking out, a faded stitch mark under his eyes and little strands of silver peeped out from underneath the black fuzzy mane!
"Like my face? I know you do. You have loved this face in every lifetime! This face is your choice."
"What?"
"Nothing, I am just really happy to have met you, I missed you so much dearest!"
"What?" Law was overwhelmed by the man's beautiful presence. "Do you always talk like this?"
"No. Just you. Sorry, I was a bit late in this lifetime to look for you! Unlike other times when I remember everything instantly after spending a few years as a human! But this time the timelines are messy! Before I regained my senses, I was already fighting for years! Sorry, I am late, honey!"
Ignoring his, words, the Healer began cleaning the man. The whole body was a quilt of scars, welts, stitch marks. Unintentionally, Law touched them and felt deep sorrow feeling him. His heart was crying for this stranger. "You can touch me as much as you want! I have never complained, and I will never complain."
The Healer felt a blush creep up his cheeks, "You are talking rubbish! First soulmates! Now this! Just because Magic exists doesn't mean love can transcend death!" Law chuckled, in the thirty-seven years he had spent in this world, he had met countless people claiming to remember past lives. So was not shocked by the idea of it. But, to hear someone say, that they have loved since the beginning of time would unnerve even the strongest mind. "You should be a fantastic storyteller like our national poet Sogeking! He writes such far-fetched tales of romance, and young idiots like my sister read it! Ridiculous!" When Law was assured, he had wiped him totally clean. He waved his hands, and the leftover potions and ointment landed on the soldier's lap.
"Oh, I haven't seen you perform magic in centuries! The last time you had magic was when we were women!"
"WHAT? Did the enemy feed you hallucinatory drugs?" Law grabbed the man's face. "No wonder your eyes were pink! Open your mouth."
The now clean soldier shook his head and opened his mouth, revealing nothing abnormal, and Law frowned. "Ace will hit me for revealing too much on the first day!"
"I am made of magic! Poison doesn't work on me, honey." The man lit a tiny flame on his pinky finger.
"How? Fire magic is only held by the elite Knights."
"Hello Healer Law, I am Luffy. The leader of the Holy Knights serving the Nika Empire."
That was their first encounter, an injured Knight and a Healer. Law, who was made of magic, partially felt elated to see a magic user. "So it is true! The Holy Knights are magic-wielding people!"
"Yes!"
That's how Luffy arrived in his life and warmed into Law's heart by showing his magic.
"Why don't you want to marry my husband?" A teen with pink hair stood in-front of Law. The war had been over for three months now. For the last three months, Law had refused to communicate with Luffy, aka Emperor Nika. Not only he had refused to answer his letters, but he had also refused to open the door to the Emperor himself, when he arrived at their family clinic.
After learning Luffy was the Emperor, the Healer had borrowed a horse from one of the Holy Knights and ran home, and in a bid to avoid meeting anyone Law had gone to his roots, working away in the backroom with a mask on.
So when Lamy brought the pink-headed teen inside his room with quick steps, he didn't pay attention to her much. He had assumed it was another victim of the horror called early pregnancy. Once the girl was seated on her chair and Law had taken her wrist to examine the pulse; she blurted out the question.
The realization hit the Healer that was it, not a person in-need of medical assistance, and he dropped the hand of the teen.
Everyone from Dressrosa knew her face, he had known her face since she was a baby of one month, her grandfather and aunt had shared her photographs all over the kingdom, "Princess Rebecca, how may I help you? Or should I call you Queen Rebecca?"
"Princess is fine."
"How can I help you, princess?"
Princess Rebecca sat up and attempted to look dignified by straightening her back and by increasing the depth of her very young voice, "By marrying Emperor Nika."
"I refuse."
"Why not?"
"It's a matter between him and me." Law had a desire to say, it's a matter between adults and a child had no business being involved with it. The child sitting on the examination chair almost cried hearing his curt reply.
"He loves you. You love him. So why not?" The sixth wife of Emperor Nika pouted.
"Not all lovers get happy endings. Especially mistresses don't."
"Emperor Nika is upset, and if he is upset, everyone around him is upset."
"If he is a forty-one-year-old man, he should learn how to control his emotions and not burden children with his emotional distress! What kind of Emperor sulks, just because he couldn't have a seventh spouse? And who sends their child-bride to pursue their mistress, well I am not mis—" Law decided to stop degrading himself.
"He doesn't know I came here, I told the Castle I was going for a picnic with my friends and sneaked out." The desire to pinch the chubby cheeks to express his anger and surprise had never been so intense in the Healer's heart. "He is a great Emperor!" Rebecca now was folding her hands on her lap, in an attempt to look more serious. Law was used to teenagers attempting to be like adults, he had one in his house. Princess Rebecca was born a few months after his sister. So he knew how adamant they could get. The next words from Rebecca hurt Law further, "He loves you!"
So do I!
The Healer wanted to scream back, but he didn't want to earn the Emperor's wrath or offend his former country's princess. One glance at Rebecca revealed that she was desperate to make the Emperor happy. She grabbed Law's hands and the fake voice cracked like a walnut, revealing a tender core, "Lucy has not eaten anything for the last few days. He is sulking. Please talk to him. I am begging you."
"Lucy?"
"When the Emperor came to rescue Grandfather and me, he disguised himself as Lucy." And he disguised himself as Luffy for me, Law scoffed mentally, how original.
"Princess, I don't mean to offend you. You sacrificed your freedom for your countrymen, and I am grateful. But I only have one heart, and I cannot agree to have a husband who has so many wives. I am not strong or generous enough. For your age you are brave, you love your people so much that, you even came to advocate for His Majesty's heart. He is the Emperor and if he desires a male-wife, I am sure there will be more than one prince out there who would be willing to fulfil this role..."
"But, Lucy and I never consummated this marriage!"
"I would murder him if he touched a child twenty-five younger than him! You are my sister's age! How dare even utter the words consummate in front of you! LAAAAAMY!" Law screamed at the top of his voice, and his sister arrived.
"What?"
"Here, you can have a new friend from our old home, she is Becca, and make sure you teach her everything about sex and consent like Mom and Dad taught." With that, Emperor Nika's sixth wife found herself kicked out of the Healer's workstation and a new best-friend.
The Healer had hoped that Luffy would understand his reasoning. But even after sending away Princess Rebecca, Emperor Nika didn't stop. He sent Law's favourite food everyday day. Sometimes rare books of medicine and spells were delivered to his workstation, other days, his parents would find new equivalents and medicine cabinets restocked.
Though Law's heart didn't melt, his family had warmed up to the idea of having the Emperor as a son-in-law. No one better than Law knew, how single-minded the man could be. He had grown up on the battlefield, if his resolve was weak he wouldn't have made it to his forties. Luffy always gave his all, be it war or love, now that he had won the war, his entire focus had shifted and zoomed in on the Healer.
After their first encounter, Luffy visited Law's tent every day. For Law, it was a slow-burn romance and for the object of his affection; it was a love story bound to happen sooner or later. Though people in their regiment noticed the pompous gestures of Luffy towards the Healer; they laughed at the love-sick behaviour that the commander of Holy Knights displayed.
From the second day onwards, Luffy was beside him when not fighting. Despite his multiple assurances that he was invincible, the Healer wouldn't rest until he had checked him thoroughly. They never saw the little gestures, which only Law saw. With the army, he moved, and the two knights whom Luffy had dragged to be saved soon became the Healer's bodyguard.
"Luffy loves you." Zoro the second in command of Holy Knights had informed him, many evenings later, when Law was casting a spell on his dislocated shoulder.
"What makes you say that?" For a crowded army camp, that evening was quiet. "You cannot fall in love with someone just after spending a few days." The Healer had huffed.
"He has never shown any interest in anyone like this, ask Sanji."
"Sanji is in awe of him!" Law had laughed that night. "It is like he almost babies Luffy, whereas it should be Luffy who should baby him! How old is that blonde man? Twenty?"
"Twenty-two."
"And Luffy is forty, but the way he behaves!" Law had not noticed that he was subconsciously keeping tabs on Luffy. To him, Luffy seemed like a capable commander who knew how to keep spirits high.
"He cares for Sanji. And Sanji is a great cook!" Zoro who had never shown a soft side, sighed. "When Luffy loves, the person becomes their moon."
"You think I am his moon?"
"I don't think, I know you are his moon."
"Zoro you are a soppy romantic fool ain't you?"
The encounter with Emperor Nika's fifth wife didn't happen in the backroom of the clinic but at the apothecary. Law's monthly supply of ingredients had been delayed by two weeks, despite the restocking, and despite Emperor Nika's showering his parents' clinic with raw materials, it was never enough.
The war had ended for a few months, and the Celestial Dragons were imprisoned and serving for their crimes, but the influx of refugees never stopped and according to the newspaper, they won't stop for a long time. No matter how great The Nika Empire was, rebuilding was always harder than destroying. This worry for future patients brought Law early to the apothecary when it was still comfortably snuggled behind the dark sky, and that's where he met with his rival.
"If you want this last batch of varth**, you have to meet Emperor Nika."
"Your majesty." The two words of greeting conveyed undiluted irritation. "You may keep the varth." Law turned around and decided to leave, but he found Luffy's two royal guards blocking his way
"Zoro, Sanji, can you let me pass."
"Talk to my sister. I can't handle a sulking Emperor, an Emperor's sulking best-friend and an Emperor's sulking wife who happens to be a sulking sister! You have a sister, right?" Sanji pleaded.
Law looked at Sanji, then at Zoro who gestured the support of his husband's decision, and then he looked at the fifth wife, who pulled down her hood, revealing her cropped pink hair. "Does Luffy have a thing for pink-headed girls?" The words had left his mouth too fast.
"What?" Sanji almost choked on the air he was breathing. "What made you say that?"
"Isn't Princess Rebecca also pink-headed?" Law asked. "And wasn't there a rumour of a new alliance, the potential seventh bride, Princess Shirahoshi, has pink hair too, right?"
"You are the potential seventh wife," Zoro added nonchalantly. Finding Law's face turning purple in anger, Zoro offered more options, "Male-wife? Husband? Consort? Female-husband? Spouse?"
"Moss-head!" Sanji hissed at his partner.
Law yelled his answer, "I REFUSE."
"My husband refuses your refusal, I am Vinsmoke Reju, Emperor Nika's fifth wife, Master of Poison and Potion." Reiju offered her hand. Rejecting would be rude, so Law offered her a bow and a polite kiss on her hand. Queen Reiju's marriage to Emperor Nika was a scandal. Not only Law's Luffy had gatecrashed her wedding and replaced the groom with himself, but in one night, he overtook her father's Kingdom of Germa66 and made them the subordinate of the Nika Empire. With this one move, had secured the victory over Celestial Dragons, a war that Nika had been fighting since he was thirteen. He got the arms, the resources and a wife who could create poison. With all these qualities and a beautiful face, Law couldn't help but feel inferior. Unintentionally recoiled, his hand and attempted to pull the cuffs of the sleeves to hide his patchy fingers.
"I refuse to meet your husband. Your Majesty"
"Come on. Please meet him, I can cure and kill only a handful of people at a time. If he decides to be sad any longer, he will kill us all."
"I may be angry with him, and may never see his face. But I know Luffy will not go on a murder rampage." Law huffed with pride. He knew his Luffy well, he had spent more than a year with that man on the front lines. Yes, he had lied about his identity and name, but everything else he said was true.
"So if you believe him so much, why can't you believe that he loves you and wants to spend the rest of his life with you?" Queen Reiju snapped.
"Because he lied."
"Technically, he omitted the truth, Law." Zoro cut in and Law glared at him, his golden eyes sent him the message that the Healer was angry with him too. But Zoro didn't stop. "Luffy loves only you, he was looking forward to marrying you. But you ran away."
"You shut up!" Law hissed. "You knew how important marriage was to me! But you all knew he had six wives. What's a seventh wedding to someone like him? Tomorrow he will fall in love with another person and get an eighth wife! Then a ninth wife and more. My heart is not kind or dictated by diplomatic reasons, like Her Majesty here or Princess Rebecca."
"Law. He has not loved anyone ever. All these marriages are political alliances." Zoro tried to convince, but Law's eyes were already betraying him with the threat of tears.
"Zoro, don't complicate it for him. But Law knows this he is not blind, Luffy is sincere. We can vouch for it."
"Trafalgar Law, if you don't agree to marry my stupid husband, I will murder him with my poison!" Queen Reiju threatened. "And your healing magic and potions won't help."
"Pri— I mean your Majesty, Luffy is immune to poison."
"Immunity doesn't mean invincibility. I conduct trials of all my poisons on him, so you never know."
"He is the sun, I don't think I am worried."
"Law stop being stubborn, just come to the castle. Luffy loves you dearly." Sanji tried to stop Law and Zoro again blocked the Healer's path.
"What are you? Thugs? Blocking my doorway, buying raw materials, threatening the love of my love with poison! Behave royalty for fuck's sake!"
Zoro raised his eyebrow, "The love of your love?"
"It was a slip of the tongue."
"I don't think so!" Sanji added. "Trust him Law, trust his heart, please."
The Healer hardened his face and decided to lie through his perfect set of teeth, "Right now, I can't believe that he has ever been sincere about us." Law pushed Zoro aside with all his strength and reached the exit. He then stopped to turn around and offered a bow to Queen Reiju, "Your Majesty. Please tell him to stop."
The realization that he, Trafalgar D Water, was in love with Luffy happened — when one night during dinner after a major win, Sanji, the blonde Knight sat beside the Commander of the Knights by the fire and offered him a second helping of the stew. Luffy being Luffy began wolfing down his food. The Healer who was opposite to him was watching this man with adoration, then because of Luffy's rushed movements, his little hair-bun loosened and strands of wavy curl escaped. By the fire, the vision had filled Law's heart.
The very next moment, the Healer's heart was pierced when he saw Sanji softly tug Luffy's unkempt strands behind his ear with a gentle smile.
The exchange had lasted merely five seconds, but his throat had dried up and there was burning in his chest. It was such a simple gesture that Law had wished to do for months but didn't want to because he was in denial, watching it unfold so casually before his eyes stung him like a wasp's sting.
With blinding tears in his eyes, he had run away.
Behind the stables, Law had hidden himself, weeping into his knees and cursing himself for being an idiot, he had lost the love of his life to a beautiful man much younger than me.
"Who hurt you?"
Looking up in disbelief, Law found the broad body towering over his crouching figure. Luffy's face was not clearly visible, but the pink magical eyes were looking at him. "I asked, who hurt you?" He lowered himself to Law's level, and crawled into the space Law had hidden himself. Luffy's large hands landed on the Healer's knees, they were warm and Law wanted to curl up in his palm. "For someone so tall, how did you fold yourself like a paper crane to hide under this? Darling, come out." Luffy slowly pulled him out from the tight space and gently held Law's face. "Who upset you?"
The confidence and pride the Healer had carried within himself had kicked the bucket, "I hurt myself. Because I am a fool."
Unable to understand the self-deprecating words, Luffy's hands left the Healer's cheeks and began examining Law's arms and shoulders, looking for injuries. "Are you bleeding?"
"No."
"Then why are you crying?"
"Because I lost the man I love?"
There was a frown on Luffy's face but the words that followed out of his mouth were so confident, that after hearing them, Law was confused all over again: "I am alive. Here, feel my heart." Luffy placed Law's trembling hand on his chiselled, solid chest.
"I lost your heart, you love Sanji." Law began to cry loudly. "Because I didn't reciprocate to your courting soon, I lost your heart to a younger and beautiful man. I can't even hate Sanji, he is pretty, he can cook, he can fight and he is so caring! He is not afraid to express his feelings in public. "
"What the—" Luffy didn't complete the sentence that was full of obscene words, for a long while he tried to form a cleaner version of the sentence. Deciding to cast aside his angry words, Luffy stared at the shivering figure that he had now embraced in his arms and let Law cry. Luffy continued patting him until the Healer calmed down, picked him up like a princess and walked away from the stables.
There is a saying, "Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time." ** Trafalgar Law had prepared himself for the arrival of the fourth wife in advance.
The fourth wife, Queen Koala, arrived at his home a week later after Queen Reiju's thug-like meeting. She went for the offence, "Law, you have a guest." Law's mother had knocked on his door and the brunette slammed it open, sacring the Healer.
"Hello Law, as you can see, I am not a pinkhead. I am Koala, Nika's fourth wife. Master of strategy and in-charge of defence. I work closely with Luffy's brother, Sabo." Koala winked and sat on Law's bed. "So Rebecca and Reiju told me, you do not wish to marry our common idiot husband."
The Healer observed her, she was dressed cutely, to appear harmless from a distance, a brown skirt, matching white blouse, pretty boots and a hat. But if one paid attention, her arms were bound in leather armlets, her shoes were heavy with spikes, and even the corset on the top of her blouse was made of metal, in short, she was combat-ready. When Law was serving in Luffy's camp, Queen Koala was battling in another camp in the south with Luffy's brother Sabo.
"I do not."
"Why?"
"I don't want to be another unique coin in his coin collection." Law was so weirded out at finding a woman sitting on his bed, that he didn't know how to deal with it. "Your majesty, please leave."
"No can do!" Instead of leaving, she took off her hat, lay on the bed and rested her head on Law's pillow. "This bed is comfortable, but the bed Nika made for you in the castle is softer."
"Soft bed is bad for the spine."
"Are you always this grumpy? Eclipse to our Nika's Sunshine?"
The Healer had spent a lifetime avoiding people up close, he really didn't know how to deal with a gender he had no interest in, "My queen!"
"Look, when I married that idiot, I had decided to protect him and keep the empire safe. If Nika is not happy, the empire will suffer. I do not mean in a metaphorical sense, literally, Nika controls everything. You are his happiness, and I wish to procure his happiness. So how do I win you over? What can I offer you?"
"I am not an object to be sold!"
"I am not buying you chill, but I can convince your parents, and they will send you away with me in my carriage immediately. But I respect people's right to autonomy, so tell me Law what can we do for you."
"Let me be."
"NOPE!"
"Is anyone sane married to Luffy? Why are you all so eager to bring another spouse for your common husband? What is this arrangement? What happens after we marry? Do we share him one day each? The first wife gets him on Sunday, and the seventh spouse gets him on Saturday?"
"That's how it was supposed to be, traditionally! But since it's Nika, he only wants you. Once you are married, you will be together all the days of the week! We the queens barely see him, it is only after your royal rejection that he has been mopping around the castle and driving us crazy"
"How can you be so comfortable with the idea of your husband fucking me!"
"I don't love him. But he loves you, you love him, so why should I care? If anything, that stallion needs his mare, it's been too long." Koala pouted. "I know you guys didn't even do anything beyond kissing! I respect my husband's control! If I was in love with you, I would've gobbled you every day!"
"Am I a toy for him to bend over and get rammed by? Does my heart not matter?"
"I didn't say that—"
"You said that, Your Majesty, that was insulting. I am a person with an aching heart and not your husband's cockwarmer!"
"Law, calm down, I didn't intend it that way. I am sorry, I have grown blunt over the years."
The Healer felt like he had been having the same conversation over and over with people whose ears were plugged with bee wax. First Princess Rebecca, then Queen Reiju, and now Queen Koala.
He was aware of her a bit, Queen Koala had become the fourth wife soon after she lost her first husband who was the former King of Balto. Though an efficient queen, the world was still unkind to a woman in power. Especially a young widow with an infant who was without a man by her side.
After playing political poker with hyena-like relatives who were trying to take a bite of her Kingdom, she decided it was best to offer her hand in marriage to Emperor Nika, and pledge her army to him in-exchange for safety and peace. When the time came, she placed her son from her first marriage on the throne with Emperor Nika's blessing and shifted her own base to Spade Kingdom. Law knew he was dealing with a no-nonsense survivor who was as stubborn as the love of his life, right now to her, only Emperor Nika's happiness mattered the most because it ensured the safety of her people.
"You are a ruler, I understand you cannot spare yourself the luxury of love, I am a commoner. And what about the future, the children you and other queens have with Lu— I mean, the Emperor will hate me."
"Oh dear really, don't know anything do you? How can I convince you Law, our children won't care, other queens won't care? Luffy's heart is sincere, there is no place for us there."
"I never doubted his heart, I just don't trust the position he occupies. He is the Great Emperor Nika, vanquisher of Celestial Dragons! You are all married to the symbol, I get it, but that symbol is attached to the man I love dearly. He is kind in his own way, I understand that too! But when do these political marriages stop? He first got married at 15, didn't he?"
"—17" Koala tried to correct the facts… in vain.
"He was a teen himself! How could he marry a teen now that he is 45?"
"—41"
"He has a 16-year-old child bride. And we know how virile he is, he can sire more children! By the time he is 60, we will have more Kingdoms in need of help, and they will offer their children for political marriages. I know it is normal practice. But it is me! I who will never bore him children, I bring him no value? What, can, a common Healer with rudimentary magical skills offer to the personification of the Sun on Earth?" Hearing Law's trembling rant, Koala sat up from his bed and put on her hat. Her eyes no longer had the look of a woman hardened by life, but just a person who sympathized with Law's fears. "You don't understand, the moment I saw him in his actual self, I felt like an ant, an insignificant ant, he is the SUN! And I am just a person." Law turned around to hide his face. Loving Luffy was easier than the idea of having to share Luffy with others. He was selfish, he wanted to tell them out loud, that he wanted Luffy for all himself.
"Will all of us queens living away from Nika help?"
"I don't want to be a homewrecker!" Law lamented.
"There is no home between the Emperor and us. You will be wrecking nothing. But if we don't make you and Nika have a home soon, I don't know if the whole world will have a home or not."
Koala sighed like she was dealing with a teenager, though in reality, she was barely a few years older than her second husband. But right now there was concern in her eyes. "Luffy has waited long for you, his impatience is that of a toddler. Think this through. The other three will drop by soon." Koala stood up, patted Law on the arm and walked out.
By the time Law calmed down and decided to settle into his misery, he found himself taken inside Luffy's tent, and dropped on his bed.
"What are you doing?"
Sadness was pushed aside by thoughts he had never had before. He had always refused to be alone with Luffy because the man's touch sent his brain into the terrain of unholy thoughts. Now that he was here, he was overcome. Luffy was looking at him; there was anger, and there was love, which Law had been undecided to see for months.
"Why am I here? Should you not spend your time with Sanji?"
Instead of answering, Luffy pushed Law down, sunk him into the sturdy pillow and climbed on top of him. The pink eyes were almost red, and then his broad fingers landed on Law's neck, he rubbed his exposed skin, and Luffy could feel his pulse; beating fast under his touch. And then he travelled his rough finger up to Law's cheeks and finally to his lips and rubbed them with his thumb.
Soft and rough circles were drawn on the Healer's lips. Each stroke sent to the trembling lips made Law's toes curl.
Luffy offered no words, he was hovering over Law. Pink eyes examined his face, stripping him off mentally.
The steady touch of Luffy's rough fingers on Law's thin raw lips, made him squirm, he wanted to blame Luffy for the growing heat in his body. He wanted something or someone to pour cold water on the bubbling that was happening in his belly. The Healer knew it better; he wanted to be ravished by the older Knight. He wanted Luffy's mouth on him, and he wanted to be with him. If love was a coin, the other side of affection was lust, and Law was turning into a sticky puddle all thanks to a single obscene thumb assaulting his lips: so he opened his lips and sucked on the tip of Luffy's thumb.
Instead of pulling away, Luffy thrust his entire thumb into Law's mouth, without breaking eye contact, he carried on looking while he supported himself on his threes.
The Healer had only dreamed of sucking on Luffy's thick fingers, Luffy's thumb landed on Law's tongue. Unable to bear the greedy gaze of Luffy's Law closed his eyes and concentrated on the finger between his warm mouth, and he sucked on it. Occasionally scraping the calloused skin with his teeth, but there was no reaction. Never in his wildest imagination had he thought he would've sucked Luffy's thumb before kissing him.
When the thumb was wrinkled inside the Healer's mouth, Luffy pulled out, bringing out a string of embarrassing saliva. Law almost let out a moan, and Luffy smirked. The leader of Holy Knights was waiting for this response.
Once Law nodded, Luffy let a deep sigh escape.
The older man lowered himself further and finally kissed Law.
His hungry mouth didn't wait for any more warming up. His tongue dived inside the warm crevice to fetch Law's suddenly very shy tongue. Luffy didn't let Law have any other opportunity to think! He kissed him until he could feel little noises escape from the younger's throat. Then his greedy hands were all over the lithe body— touching him everywhere to make the Healer twist and turn. Thanks to his fire powers, the older man warmed Law's cold skin everywhere he ghosted his fingers on, making the taller call his lean legs around Luffy's waist. The positive feedback made Luffy toy with the Healer further, making the younger man's resistance collapse like a house of cards.
Law kissed him back wholeheartedly, his hands grabbed onto Luffy's scruffy wavy hair. This was all the encouragement the other man needed. Luffy continued rubbing his hands up and down Law's entire body while his mouth fucked him until the corners of the Healer's mouth were red, raw and aching.
The Healer pulled away when Luffy's hands tried to crawl under his shirt and pants. And Luffy froze his hands and waited for Law to calm down.
"Sanji?"
"What Sanji?"
"Don't you like that pretty boy?"
"You are the prettiest man, I ever laid my eyes on!"
"But—"
"DAMN IT LAW! The entire army knows, Sanji is riding Zoro's cock every night! Why will I steal my best-friend's husband!"
"They are married?"
"YES!"
"Oh…" Law averted his eyes and mumbled away his next words. "Marr–"
"What?"
"I didn't know we could marry people of the same-sex."
"..." Luffy's mind was at a loss for words. He had thought everyone who was part of the Nika Empire knew, that the Emperor didn't care about who married whom. So he let Law continue to do the talking.
"Then…" The Healer was shaking as if he was being submerged by a stone tied to his ankle. "Can— I mean, we? You and I?"
"Say what's on your mind."
After a lot of struggle, Law spoke, "I want to get married, before we take the next step."
Hearing the words from Law brought out a broad smile in Luffy. He almost looked boyish for his age."Okay. Let's get married, after I end this war. You want your parent's blessing, right? And you want your sister to be there?" Law's eyes again began to cry. "Why are you crying now? Because of the war going on forever? You know because of stupid obligations I can't just kill the Celestial Dragons. But if you want, I can ask my brothers to kill them. But Sabo says, 'Justice is when we make the criminals pay for their crimes and not in dea—'"
He didn't let Luffy finish further, as Law hugged him with all his strength and hid his face in his chest.
"I love you, Luffy."
Unlike the youngest innocent teen wife, the sly poison-master wife, or the master of defence wife, the next wife approached him politely in the bookshop.
It was an ordinary sunny day, Law was feeling mentally peckish and sad and decided to check what new books Sogeking had written. He wanted to read the cheesiest romance book and sulk away.
Again just like the love of his life, Luffy's wives were unpredictable, instead of the third or the second wife, the Healer found himself in-front of the first wife! The One True Empress of the Nika Empire, if Law had to describe her in one word; breathtaking.
She had casually asked, "Could you please bring that book, you are so tall." Without a glance, Law had helped her. Only when he handed her the book did he look up. "You are adorable, Trafalgar Law" she giggled. "Luffy was right, you really are a bit oblivious about your surroundings when you are lost in thought."
Nico Robin, popularly known as the Scholar Princess, was never in the race for the throne of the little Ohara Kingdom. When the ruler of the continent, the Celestial Dragons, eyed her Kingdom years back, she had no option but to ask help from a young prince Luffy, who was far from the glorious title of Emperor Nika.
A quick marriage had happened between a teenage groom and his intelligent older bride. Under the banner of the Blazing Sun, her Kingdom was protected under the seventeen-year-old prince's protection. Nico Robin was young teenage Nika's first and oldest wife, his most trusted confidant and advisor.
If Law hadn't known her history, he would've mistaken her for a woman in her early forties. Nico Robin was actually twenty years older than Emperor Nika, and had been his wife for over two-decades.
She was smiling politely, and her raven hair had a few streaks of grey hair peeping out, and her blue dress made her look regal, the Healer again found himself unintentionally comparing himself to her beauty. "Empress." The Healer offered a respectful bow.
"Healer Law," gently she took his hands and turned his palm over, "You haven't used the ointment I sent you."
"Sorry?" Law found himself feeling exposed without understanding why. "I do not understand."
"Eight months back, enemies had tried to kidnap you, and you had injured your palms, if I am not forgetting, you almost lost your fingers, didn't you? Am I incorrect?"
"No, you are not."
"Luffy had written letters to me asking for the best course of action on how to keep you safe. I have always acted as his advisor. I was the one who sent all the medicines for you."
"I am afraid, I don't understand, what you wish to convey, empress."
"In the years that we have been married, my husband has barely ever written letters to me, let alone read what I write to him. But when I informed him, I tracked your family and you, he immediately wrote back asking me to protect you! In these last two decades, I can count on my hands the number of handwritten letters he sent me. But the moment you were hurt, within two days I had received eighteen letters, desperate words crying to save you." Empress Robin took Law deep inside the bookshop and sat down in the reading area. Law took a seat opposite her.
"Emperor Nika, that you and everyone know, is a construct, it is a calculated strategy that I developed and pushed over two decades. The man you refuse to marry is Emperor Nika. I am here to talk about the man you love— Luffy." Law found his palms being squeezed gently. "Luffy has never loved someone before. The moment he found you in the camp, he wrote to me, almost scolding his old wife for sending the man he loves to such a dangerous place." Law wanted to ask what she meant.
"We don't send new recruits to fighter battalions, but I knew who you were. Thanks to Luffy, who described multiple versions of your faces to me. And when I found you, I didn't intend to waste his time. This war had gone too long. Only love can bring peace. He wanted to keep you safe, so when you were almost kidnapped, he was livid. He wanted to burn down everyone. Then I suggested that the youth both get married, since you had spoken about it first, I thought getting you both officiated and bringing you to the castle would be the best action." Law was hearing all this for the first time. The Healer knew what happened after this, Luffy had asked him multiple times to get married, so that he could send him away from the war. But Law wanted to repay Emperor Nika and refused to get married then.
"Marriage to him would've protected you, he wanted to tell you the truth, it was my letters that stopped him. I am sorry, I caused you this pain, the need to keep his identity hidden was important when he was young. But I saw it worked better when no one was actually the mysterious Emperor, while his knights won his battles. Hence, I made him omit the truth. Winning the war was more important, and I ended up toying with your feelings"
"Are you saying, all these marriages mean nothing to him? Two decades of marriage mean nothing? Empress, how can I love a man who has never been loyal to a single one." Law knew he was misinterpreting every word Empress Robin spoke. By now he knew, he was not angry at Luffy, he was just not confident in himself. Accepting it out loud would hurt his pride. It was easier to blame Luffy and his six wives for his lack of confidence.
"I am saying, that after Luffy saw your bleeding hands, he wanted to harness the power of the sun that he is gifted with and burn down the Celestial Dragons. But I stopped him, then I sent him all the royal medicine I could find just to calm him. I see the wound on your hands has healed, but the scars haven't fainted." Empress Robin, traced the scars caused by the kidnappers to his palms, he had almost lost his fingers in an attempt to fight back. The Healer didn't remember much, but he knew he had cast enough spell, to temporarily stop his bleeding and spellbind the attackers with blood-magic.
When he woke up, Luffy was furious at being unable to protect him. Law had noticed the white, almost blinding silver hair escaping from his raven mop of hair. In a delirious state, he had mistaken it for a trick of the eye. "I don't know how to convince you, but if it gives you some solace. Your Luffy, and the nation's Emperor Nika, never consummated these marriages. They are purely political engagements."
"But the princesses and princes? He has eight children!" The Healer found the earth beneath his feet being pulled away. Everyone knew that Emperor Nika had six wives and enough children to appease the succession fears.
"I see, Lu really didn't tell you anything because I asked to keep quiet. I am sorry."
"Why?"
"Isn't obvious Law, the answer is simple— love."
"I hope you understand this, all of us, his six wives, want him to be happy. And you will be visited by Nami and Vivi soon!" Law found the blue ointment bottle in his palms. "I thought to break the order before they try to drag you to the castle, because Koala reported you are hostile to diplomacy."
"I am still not sure." The Healer gripped the bottle with anger and guilt. "What am I going to add to his life?"
"Is it about your looks?" Nico Robin, finding no reply, smiled. "Sanji was correct, you think you don't deserve Lu! I don't know if you realize this, but in this entire world, Luffy sees everything in two colours: black and white, only when you are around, does he see all the creation in its full glory."
"You mean to say, he has been—"
"He has always been waiting to meet you, according to him, you are his soulmate. I find it hard to believe, but Luffy has never lied to me in our long marriage. According to him, life after life, in every version of his reality, he has always searched for you. You are his—"
"His moon." Law completed Nico Robin's words.
"He is a lunatic."
The night the kidnappers arrived, Law was outnumbered.
His tent was not far away from Luffy's, after the first kiss, it was Zoro who suggested that the Healer be moved into Luffy's tent. But Law was still shy and didn't think he could resist the urge to copulate with a bare-chested Luffy walking around.
Respecting Law's wishes, Luffy agreed to let him be fifteen feet away from him, in a tent that would be guarded easily in-case of emergency. Though more than often they were kissing and grabbing each other, Luffy never crossed the line, he understood the assignment too well.
The kidnappers shouldn't have known where he was, but there was always a traitor in every war.
The Celestial Dragons, who had never seen the face of actual Emperor Nika, had always assumed Luffy the Commander of Holy Knights was the face of the Army, who was not an easy target. The Holy Knights had never been touched by the Celestial Dragons, so they knew any assassination attempt on their commander would fail gloriously. The Knight had been fighting in Emperor Nika's army for more than two decades— undefeated, blessed with fire magic and durability.
When rumours of the invincible Knight's lover's story began to spread in the camps, the enemy thought they finally found Luffy's weakness and decided it was best to kidnap his object of affection and make the strongest battalion of the Nika Empire surrender.
Luffy didn't want to leave Law alone that night either, he had just kissed Law enough for the Healer to make chirping noises of joy, and then the signal was shot: a surprise attack was launched against them, he had to check. The noise forced the buff man to pull away from his tall lover with an angry humph.
The camp was always spellbound, hence to hear that there were enemies running amok within their safe zone, unnerved everyone. Thanks to the traitor who had sneaked the enemies in by using the enchanted pass, the possibility of chaos spreading was evident.
Luffy asked his two trusted friends to guard Law. But a few minutes later, Zoro and Sanji were taken away by the two more attack noises on two opposite sides. Law had assured them that he wouldn't leave his tent and flashed his dagger, a gift from Luffy, and Law didn't leave his tent.
Law was not a combative man, thanks to his tall stature people mistook him for a fighter. He was raised to be a Healer only, but thanks to circumstances, he who could make potions to cure poisoning, and perform amputations on soldiers had learned to wield a knife against a person if attacked one on one. Based on this knowledge, Luffy had made him a custom-made dagger with which he could amputate someone and defend himself.
Hence, finding six men clad in black was scary, he didn't let it show on his face and his height proved advantageous to keep them from jumping onto him immediately. The number of people who had come to his tent to kidnap had mentally overwhelmed him despite the Healer showing a stoic face, his heart was ready to leap out of his mouth.
Law knew that these people were the best of the best, so he didn't try to outwit them by making hasty decisions.
He wanted to buy some time, but these experts knew how their victims behaved. Being an expert himself, the Healer took one look at the knives in the kidnapper's hands and knew he would be fainting soon, either thanks to the poisonous blades cutting him or some sort of fragrant hitting his nostrils. And if he was lucky enough to escape the knife and the perfume, he would be hurt by something else—-only the heavens knew what needles, herbs and pills the kidnappers hid within the folds of their costumes.
With exposed vital points like Law's neck, ankle and torso, he started thinking about how basic poisoning worked. The neck was the easiest and most vulnerable part of his body, a flying needle would knock him out in seconds. He made all possible calculations as fast as he could, hurting his ankle would delay the fainting but the chances of him doing permanent damage to his ankle in future were higher, recovering from a wound in his torso was going to be the most painful, and offering his back was not an option as his spine could be damaged, he needed to know where he was getting pierced; visibility was the code of healing.
He deliberately made a show-off of him running towards the other side to make the assassins move, the moment their formation broke, the Healer pulled his dagger and cut his hand to cast a defensive spell to keep them away from touching him when they charged at him with knives. It happened so fast that he didn't realize when he was completely surrounded.
Likewise, he knew was fighting a losing game against the best of the celestial dragons' shadow army. Furthermore, since he was bound to fail if he tried to flee, he decided to let their laxative-dipped knives pierce his skin by walking towards the kidnappers, fooling them into thinking he was trying to run, but actually in order to distract them from noticing that he was casting blood magic.
It was ancient magic that he had learned on the run from a green-haired wizard who had helped his family and him escape Dressrosa when the war broke out. This was a magic that was learned with desperation to protect his loved ones. He had never used it before, but Luffy was his loved one too, and the Healer didn't regret using it.
The spell was cast the moment his 13th drop of blood touched the ground, sending tremors in a set of threes. The kidnappers mistook it for an earthquake, and Law was happy that he had successfully cast the words. But he couldn't see how it worked, as he fainted immediately after uttering the spell, and didn't know what happened afterwards.
The kidnappers were certain they had conducted their mission faithfully to the plan, but the moment they neared the boundaries of the camp, they found themselves trapped. Law's blood magic had put an invisible barrier on the whole camp. The enchanted seal only worked on the magic that belonged to the Holy Knight.
No one could step in or step out. Law had trapped his kidnappers and the traitor.
When the third and second wives arrived together, this time it was at the local Tangerine farm, where the entire Trafalgar Family went for a picnic.
Law knew something was fishy, when his parents walked into the back room with awkward, jolly smiles.
And the moment his parents announced they wanted to go on a picnic, in the middle of a busy work week day. He knew it was time to meet one of the two remaining queens. But again, he had not expected a double-trouble visit.
Queen Nami though gorgeous in an orange dress, stared at him with irritation, and Queen Vivi offered him apologetic eyes, as they sat opposite him on the lovely strawberry-patterned picnic mat. He didn't need to look back, his family had scampered away, and the Healer wanted to yell at them, but he knew had no one's support for his love complications.
"I was not expecting a double attack." Law decided to cut to the chase, just like how he cut and peeled the tangerine in his palm, "Your majesties." He offered them the equally cut fruit, and they didn't deny his gestures.
"And we didn't expect you to be absconding for this long!" Queen Nami barked, her almost orange hair crackling! Law had limited information on the second wife of Luffy. And whatever knowledge he had, had created a poor impression of her. He knew she was like him and Luffy, a magical user, a witch proper who controlled the weather and the empire's finances and to everyone' surprise was obsessed with the blue-haired princess from Alabasta. Queen Nami was more than often spotted besides Queen Vivi who was always travelling as a diplomatic asset. After her Kingdom of Alabasta fell, Emperor Nika married Queen Vivi and provided her with an army to retake her kingdom. Since that day, Queen Nami had been a tormentor of Queen Vivi.
Law was pulled out of his trivia when Queen Nami snapped her fingers in front of his face, she had only begun, "Do you have any idea? How much your actions are costing the entire empire?"
"Nami, Law here is sad, don't blame him for our stupid husband's actions." Queen Vivi, patted the second wife of Emperor Nika. "I think you have been having a tough time because of him, didn't you? Luffy can be selfish sometimes."
Both Queen Nami and Law scoffed, and spoke in unison, "Sometimes?"
"So you do know Luffy is a troublemaker. Then why are you making us deal with him?"
"How is my refusal to marry costing anyone anything?" Law was angry, too.
"Luffy is home! He is sad! And, Sad Luffy, empties the royal kitchen faster than we can replenish. Thank the lord we have Sanji, whisking away new recipes every hour. If this continues for one more month, I swear on my dead mother's grave, Trafalgar, I will drag your flat arse to the castle!"
"My arse is not flat!"
"No, it is not, I will make it flat, by tying you behind my carriage and dragging you on your back to the castle! By the end of the seven-day journey, you will have no arse!"
Hearing such a foul insult was making the Healer's eyebrows twitch! "Namiiiii!" Queen Vivi placed her palm on Nami's mouth. "I apologize for my wife's foul words. She is stressed." The blue-haired woman patted Queen Nami on the arm.
Law looked flabbergasted, second-guessing his impeccable hearing abilities. "Did you just call her your wife?" The queens were practically glued together, shoulders rubbing, knees touching, and even their clothes were coordinated. The Healer had only one relationship in his entire life, so he had only two frames of reference, him and Luffy, and his parents. And neither was a regular yardstick to determine two people's couple status.
"Did Robin, I mean the Empress, not explain how these six marriages are?" Queen Vivi asked, dropping her hands on Queen Nami's lips to her lap and squeezing her knee.
"She said none of you ever consummated your marriages with Luffy. Which sounds absurd."
"What's so abs—" Queen Nami cupped Queen Vivi's face and drank the rest of the sentence from her lips. Since Law never found the opposite sex attractive, he just felt extremely awkward and tried to look at the fluffy clouds, which to his horror reminded him of Emperor Nika's fluffy white wavy hair.
"She and I, are spouses." Queen Nami smiled. "Robin has her own lover, and so does Reiju and Koala. Since Rebecca is too young, we haven't let her mingle with others yet. Once she comes of age, she can have her spouse."
"But the children?"
"They are ours. Luffy is their godfather. No one has to know they aren't born of his seeds." Queen Vivi smiled. Hearing all this, made Law slam his hands on his face and crouch on his knees.
A gentle hand patted his back a few moments later, "I know it's a lot of information for you. All these years, Luffy has done everything for the sake of humans. So when he returned heartbroken to us, we had no other option but to meet you like this."
"I understand everything you are saying."
"But it is still hard, eh?" Queen Nami asked softly, for the first time Law felt like he was being treated like a human being and not a must've item in Luffy's Harem. "I was like that, too, when Robin suggested that Luffy should get married to Vivi after Alabasta fell. I knew he wouldn't even look at her romantically, but the idea of the love of my life marrying that idiot enraged me."
"How did you overcome it? This jealousy and anger? How!"
"She didn't!" Queen Vivi laughed, she sulked the entire ceremony. Then she got drunk and charged into the bridal room to kick Luffy's arse. Only to find me alone reading documents."
"I didn't know she had feelings for me, okay! Luffy knew I was incapable of loving a man when he arrived to ask for my hand in marriage; he said he was fine, but he never mentioned he had no interest in anyone other than you, who he was still searching for! Robin never told me!" Now Law realized why the empress had arrived before them, she felt guilty for making Luffy marry so many women who were not in love with him romantically.
"So I thought he went to marry my best-friend to satisfy his male ego! And I was worried Vivi had just escaped from Alabasta!" Queen Nami hid her nose behind Queen Vivi's ear and took a deep breath, fear of losing her still haunted her. "So I married her the same night she married Luffy and didn't let her leave the bed chamber for three days."
"Tooooo many details." The Healer protested.
"Law. Will you please be Luffy's happiness?"
Law found a ring between his palms. "This—"
"Only the empress wears it."
"But, Empress Robin?"
"She wanted it to be a surprise. But Vivi thought all these could've been avoided had Luffy been honest with you. Right?" Queen Nami nudged her wife.
"And I think your poor heart has been abused enough because of us. So, Law, will you become Emperor Nika's Husband?"
"I truly need some time. I know I hurt him."
"He is not hurt." Queen Nami dismissed Law's words. "He is worried he hurt you by not being honest from the beginning."
"He tried, but I scared him off with my rigid opinions."
"It's okay. Luffy said he would wait for your answer. Good or bad, he will only love you."
"He is really making me feel guilty."
When Law woke up after the attack, he found he had actually almost lost all his fingers to the knives of the kidnappers and shed enough blood to revive two dead people.
The Healer was in Luffy's tent, his entire body was covered in expensive ointments. Feeling a burning thirst, he sat up to get a glass of water. Soon enough, he was being supported by warm hands, and being fed cool water. He didn't need to look up, it was Luffy's hands holding him.
"Why are you always so reckless with your life? Did you give up on being the moon, to die tragically every life? Do you have a death wish, my love? Why can't you ever not choose an ordinary life? Because you become extraordinary, I have no choice but to match your energy!" Law was not fully awake, so Luffy's words felt like a conversation happening in a dream.
Law understood nothing of Luffy's gibberish, but he was used to Luffy talking about random things Law had never done. Instead of questioning his words, Law indicated for the older man to sit beside him.
"It was the easiest way out." Law rested his head on Luffy's chest. "The idea of me being your weakness bothers me." The Healer tried to look up to say this, in Luffy's face, but his head was too heavy.
"Did they say you are my weakness?"
"No. But their eyes were enough to reveal it. They came to kidnap me because they knew I mattered to you. No one sends shadows to kidnap a commoner's Healer." Law smiled, and Luffy's forehead had knotted up.
"You are no commoner. You are my betrothed.
"Lu, they knew I mattered, otherwise they could've wrung my neck. But the Celestial Dragons knew, killing me would bring your wrath. So kidnapping me was a better option." Law's vision was blurry, but looked up with a lot of strain, Luffy's hair was different, they were no longer black. He blamed it on his delicate state and continued talking. "I will never be your weakness."
"Should I gouge their eyes? And feed it to them?" Luffy's face offered a beautiful grin, but his dark eyes slowly turned pink. Law wanted to cup his face and run his fingers in the white, fluffy hair. So he tried to raise his hands, but the palms ached. Looking at his injured hand, Luffy hissed, "They will pay the price of hurting my precious one." He was not joking, the Healer knew it and he found out, two months later, when Emperor Nika found a real fire-breathing dragon and took it to the capital of the Celestial Dragon's stronghold, showing them he meant business.
"Why is it that you want to kill everyone when it comes to me?"
"Because you are my heart. And in this life, I have known nothing but war since the day I opened my eyes. I was born in a war camp. I drank milk from my dead mother's breast. My father and grandfather made me fight with wolves to become stronger. So I guess in this life, you are getting the worst version of me— the selfish sun. Violence and vengeance are all I know. And then I learned, that the only person I loved was hurt, and I couldn't tolerate it. I will not accept it. If I have to be a selfish sun, I will be." Luffy tightened his hug and kissed Law's cheek.
"Selfish sun?" Law hummed. "You think you are as powerful as the SUN?" Though the Healer thought he was speaking fast in his head, the conversation that night had happened slowly, and with many long pauses.
"I am, the sun."
"Don't joke around, Lu!"
"Don't like it?"
"I don't want the wrath of a sun god!"
"I am—"
"Shhh—- I wanted to help you. I am sorry, I scared you."
"Law," Luffy cupped Law's face. "Marry me, I will send you to the castle. Empress can protect you better than me here. You need to recover. I have found you after years of searching, I do not wish to lose you."
Law was equally an adamant fool, though he loved Luffy, he was always clear about himself. He wanted to be useful to Emperor Nika, who provided him with refuge and a home for his family. "No, I want to pay my debt to Emperor Nika. Even though you own my heart, my love. I owe my life to him."
"Nika would prefer if you recovered in his castle." Luffy nuzzled his nose in Law's neck. "He would like you to live a long, happy life with me."
The Healer found Luffy's words silly, "How do you know what the great Emperor wants?"
"He and I are close."
"Like brothers?"
"Something like that. We have white hair too"
"I meant to ask, why is your hair white like clouds?"
"They turned white thanks to stress!" Luffy again kissed Law on the cheeks. "You turned me into an old man! I want to retire to a cottage, where we both can sip tea and eat biscuits. I want to marry you, and live a peaceful life!" There was a crack in Luffy's voice. "Just because I am invincible doesn't mean I am immune to pain and loss. It never gets easier, and you don't make things easier ever. You brat!" Luffy gently bit Law's earlobes.
"You love me so much, that you talk about a weird past I don't know of."
"It's okay, just accept this, that you are my soulmate, and I want to live a happy comfortable life with you, with 10/12 children!"
"I can't birth children, Lu!"
"I can steal them!"
"You want to steal kids and live in a cottage with me?"
"YES"
"Then let's win this war and get the Emperor's blessing!" Law had smiled at the fluffy Luffy hugging him, while his fuzzy brain was full of images of Luffy getting a meal of bravery pinned on him on the day of their wedding from the Emperor. And Law getting a brooch of service! And them drinking tea and raising twelve children.
Luffy hugged the injured man with all his strength, "What are you thinking?"
"Nothing!"
"Law?"
"Nothing. Just a peaceful future with you."
The peaceful future arrived, and now it was on the verge of going away. Lamy had found the sun was gone. Law rushed out to triple-check. Everyone in their lane had come out from their working homes. It was 12 noon, and the sun had decided to go missing.
And the Healer knew it, it was caused by him. People were surprised, but none were panicking, thinking it to be a rare eclipse not predicted by astronomers.
Fear began spreading when three hours later, the sun refused to come back. Law had stood at the entrance of their clinic for three hours. Now he was certain, he had caused it. The idea of a sunless world terrified him, in his bones he could tell, this had happened before. When the sun had gone missing, and each time, it was he who had to bring the sun back.
Law didn't realize when his family had joined him outside, finding them beside him gave me some comfort, "Mom, Dad, Lamy what do I do?" The Healer asked his parents. "I know this is caused by me." His parents had the same answer they had for the last three months.
Lamy hugged him," I know you are scared. But go to Luffy."
"Do you need a ride?" As if his life was a theatre, and the audience was impatient for the climax, the ride to Luffy arrived. Rather, it hovered over the sky of their lane. Now people around were assured doomsday was near. A pink dragon was floating above them, and on top of it sat two adult men and seven children waving at him!
"Who are they?" Law's mother spoke out loud.
"Sorry for our bad manners, I am Prince Ace, this is Prince Sabo, we are Emperor Nika's younger brothers and these seven idiots are our nieces and nephew from his six wives."
"Hi, Dad!" In unison, the six children and one teen greeted Law. They were dressed in matching outfits of red and yellow and waved at Law.
Lamy was the first to react, "Dad?"
"Luffy taught them that when they see you, they should call you: Dad. So, Dad, shall we go to your heartbroken future husband?" Sabo smiled. "Kids, introduce yourself to your grandparents and little aunt!"
"Hi, I am Tama. The sixth princess, seventh born."
"Hello, I am Lamy, this grumpy's younger sister." Lamy offered to be a kind host from the street and greet the sky guests. "You all look so cute in red!"
"I am Toko. The fifth princess, sixth born. Our littlest sister couldn't make it, she is still in the cradle."
"Do you want tea?"
"I am Mocha. The fourth princess, fifth born, I would like some tea please."
"I am Aisa! The third princess, I would like tea too!"
"Hi Lamy, we would love to have tea, but today we just came to pick your brother up!" Prince Sabo apologized.
"Oh no issues, tell Rebecca hello for me, will you!"
"I will say hello to you and to you as well auntie, I am Apis second princess, third born! Nice to meet you, Dad!"
"I am Rika. The first princess, but second born!"
"I am Chopper, their eldest brother. The only prince and firstborn."
"They are so cute!" Law's mom pushed him off the entrance porch and yelled, "Children, please take him. We are tired of him crying. I hope you will love your new Dad."
"Thank you, ma'am!" Prince Ace snapped his fingers and Law found himself seated on top of a dragon. "Let's go Momo"
Prince Sabo jumped from the back of the dragon first. Law was horrified and perplexed at the sight of a castle without guards or soldiers! Not a single Knight stood at the giant stone gates.
"Ah, we don't need guards, Dad" Chopper, the eldest son of Nika explained as he jumped down first to help his six sisters climb down. Then he offered Law his hand, which Law took greedily, as he didn't like being on top of a dragon this large! "Don't worry, we are really strong. Papa, I mean the Emperor is the strongest. But we can hold our fort, even these little mushrooms! Right sisters?" Chopper asked his six tiny sisters as they formed a line as if to rush into the castle!
"YES BROTHER"
"Girls now!" Sabo slammed open the castle door and like a scuttling centipede, the six princesses ran inside giggling and laughing. Prince Sabo did he have the patience to wait for anyone to explain things. "KOALA, what did you do to Lu?" He didn't stop there. "One moment nine of us were flying high in the sky, and the next moment the sun was gone! Do you know how sacred Momo was? Poor thing just learned to fly and blow fire, he almost crashed into a forest! Thanks to our little Apis, we were able to control Momo and reach Law's home."
The Healer heard every word and was terrified by the idea of witnessing the sun go missing while you were riding a young dragon! "You talk to her, take Law inside, let me deal with Momo's sleeping arrangement." Prince Ace patted the pink dragon away from the castle and pushed Law towards their home.
The fourth queen arrived even faster and jumped into Prince Sabo's arms, who lifted her up with one arm. The tall blonde man kissed her forehead, "Babes! It was not me, Reiju did it! Did Law agree to meet Luffy?" Law, who had walked inside with slow heavy steps, found being himself pushed around by six children into the wide hall, where Emperor Nika held his court!
Prince Sabo waved his unoccupied hand, "We got him." Gently landing Queen Koala on her feet.
"Oh, thank the heavens you are here, Law!" The fourth queen rushed to him and kissed Law's cheeks. "Ace and Sabo got you! Yamato would've flown out to get you if these guys failed."
"Kids go back to your rooms. Your parents have some major stuff to do." Prince Sabo waved at the little people, who scuttled away with dissatisfaction.
"I will take them." Prince Chopper offered, it seemed he had no interest in this matter. "Girls say goodnight!"
"But brother, it is only 5 pm!" Princess Apis explained, pointing at her wristwatch.
"Yes, brother!" Princess Tama supported. And the other four nodded in unison.
Prince Chopper smiled, and explained, "But Papa is the sun, if the sun is not in the sky, it is nighttime, so night-night to everyone!"
"Night-night!" The six princesses waved to everyone.
"Goodnight Dad, see you tomorrow in the daytime." Princess Chopper smiled and exited the hallway like a theatre artist from his final scene of a grand play. Law couldn't help but want to talk more with the prince, there was a desire to pull him into a hug and kiss his forehead. An unexplained parental urge.
The Healer found himself out of a trance, when the other brother of Nika arrived with muddy boots, "What did you mean by us failing, and where is my husband?" Prince Ace shut the door. "And I let Momo go out for a bit, he needs to stretch his tiny dragon legs!"
"Ace, come on, don't let Momo wander! And wipe those damn boots before entering, the cleaning staff is on holiday, we don't want Nami to use her water magic and put us in more debt, you firehead!" Queen Koala shook her head in disapproval, and Prince Ace ignored her. "Anyway, Yamato is with Reiju, they succeeded in creating a poison that works on Luffy."
"Luffy is poisoned?" Law asked, "Did she actually poison him just to teach me a lesson." The guilt of months had at last consumed the Healer.
"NO! NO! NO!" A tall man walked inside from one of the corridors, with red horns and white hair. "This is our monthly poison and weapon testing routine. Reiju just cracked the formula. Luffy should be fine in a few hours. By the way, Law, Ace told me you can do reconstruction surgery! Help me remove my breasts and grow me a cock!
"YAMATO!" Prince Ace yelled. "Let Law settle into the dynamics of this family! We will get you that surgery!"
"Hi, Law, I am Yamato, Prince Ace's spouse. You can address me as Yamato," the man with the horns on his head laughed. "I am tired of binding these milk sacks! Tama stopped breastfeeding years back! Now that Law is here, my surgery is very important!"
Law's Healer self wanted to tell Prince Consort Yamato that, before doing the reconstruction, he needed to be under care for other things. But right now his mind was occupied with what happened to Luffy. So the tall, lean man took a step towards the newcomer, "Did you say a few hours?"
"Yeah…"
"Luffy will be unconscious for another few hours?"
"Yeah!"
Instead of the polite Law that others had met before, this Law was done with everything, his golden eyes that Luffy had bragged about to his family, were burning. His hands went for the collars of the man with horns and shook him. "What have you done to my Luffy, you horned bastard."
"Babe, don't hurt him," Prince Ace laughed.
"I am trying not to! But your brother's boyfriend surely will hurt me. I just want the surgery, I only helped Reiju."
"Where is my Luffy?"
"If you gently let me go, I promise, we will take you to him."
"Did Law arrive?" Queen Nami and Queen Vivi arrived. "Vivi look, he is here!"
Yamato looked at the two queens and begged with his eyes, but they ignored him, "Vivi help! Luffy's boyfriend is murderous."
"YOU POISONED MY BOYFRIEND!"
"You did, Yamato, he is the Emperor!" Queen Nami nodded. "We can count it as an assassination attempt!"
"Ace, your husband is being framed."
"Fine, fine." Prince Ace chose to ignore his husband, who was being chokehold by Law. "It is not easy to kill anyone in this family. Vivi, has Sanji cooked something special?"
"He had a hunch Law would come, fired rice and steamed fish," Zoro answered the question and looked at Law who had given up being dignified. Seeing that Yamato was trying hard not to end up hurting Luffy's lover, he took the decision to help. Law was lifted off his feet, "Okay, tiger enough!"
"Food can wait! Take me to Luffy."
"I am taking him to Luffy." Zoro announced.
"I will come with you," Queen Koala offered.
"Why?"
"Because she is worried, you will get lost with a feral Law in your arms." Queen Nami answered.
"FINE! Lead us, your majesty."
"I will go too!" Prince Consort Yamato joined the three.
Law waited for no one or didn't look at Queen Koala, Prince Consort Yamato or Knight Zoro a second longer when they arrived at the door of Emperor Nika's side of the castle.
Prince Consort Yamato had the desire to give Law a tour de castle , but after being shaken by his collars and almost getting slammed to the floor, he stopped himself.
"Well, well, isn't that little Luffy's favourite Healer!" Queen Reiju greeted the group of four. Law was ready to grab her pink hair, but Zoro and Yamato stopped him. Queen Reiju was feeling particularly smug and evil, so she continued sprinkling more salt on Law's wounds, "It was poisoning what bunched your undergarment all along eh dearie? See Koala! We should've gone with my initial plan, the plan to knock out Nika with a poison needle! Poisoning really solves all love problems! Right, Yamato and Zoro?" Queen Reiju winked at Yamato.
Law turned around to look at the faces of two muscle heads holding him back from committing a royal crime. "What do you mean?"
"She poisoned Sanji, so I could confess to him." Zoro shook his head. "According to her, she was tired of watching us pine for a sloth's speed!"
Law concluded none were sane in this castle, "And this criminal is one of Luffy's Queens?"
Prince Consort Yamato placed his other hand on Law's shoulder, "No, she is the good one. She poisoned my father and helped Ace in rescuing me! I was chained for twenty years inside a dungeon. She sent Momo, the dragon you rode, his sister Hiyori to poison my father, dear lord what a sight it was! Watching my further clutch his heart and fall down the stairs." The Healer wanted to run away with Luffy, he was no longer worried about just the wives of Nika, he was worried about the entire nation. "But it did the task right, though I was a bit sad at losing my only blood family. Not many people with horns in this world. Do you want to touch my horns?"
Prince Consort Yamato offered his horns to Luffy's object of desire, "Oh, are you alright now?" The Healer that resided in Law couldn't stop worrying and ended up patting the sturdy horns. They felt alien under his touch, but Yamato was ready to purr at this display of affection.
"Awww he cares!"
"Of course he does, Luffy fell for his caring soul, didn't he?" Zoro announced with a smug face. "Life after, life after, according to Luffy, you choose to be kind despite your mean facade."
Law hissed, "What? Kind who?"
"Ace and Sabo remember, they swear by it too!" Yamato added. "Apparently, according to my husband, we all meet in every lifetime in different bodies and relations. But you two are always soulmates!"
"I am clueless and refuse to believe this nonsense! But. Can I meet Luffy?"
"Yes, I think Law can catch up with our family lore later. Right Trafalgar?" Hearing Queen Koala's words, Queen Reiju stepped aside and let Law enter the decorated room of Emperor Nika. Because the sun was missing, the entire castle was lit with lamps and candles.
But this room was different. Luffy was spread like an octopus on the giant bed covered in red silk. And he was glowing enough to light his whole room.
Law exclaimed, as he finally realized what he was looking at, "He is glowing. Just like that day on the battlefield." The Healer stopped his foot, nervousness had overcome him. He had been avoiding the love of his life for more than three months and didn't know how to proceed from here on. He repeated his words, this time slowly, "He is glowing."
He had learned, that his lover Luffy was Emperor Nika the day of the final battle when on the dragon Luffy went to burn down the capital city of
That day also, Law's words were, "He is glowing."
Luffy, aka the Emperor Nika, had finally found a loophole to end this all. It was not he who had found the loophole, but rather his first wife, Queen Robin.
The pride and joy of the enemies lay in their stronghold, the Capital, which was full of resources and manpower. Empress Robin played the same strategy to beat them in their own game— all she needed was an opening, one traitor.
She found that traitor, no one knew how, but she did, and set the chain of events in motion.
Overnight, the Nika Army had found a rathole in the impenetrable shield of the enemies. They were captured by midnight, everyone who was not a Celestial Dragon was evacuated, children irrespective of their bloodline were taken away, and everything else— gold, food and energy was looted. They freed slaves, who happily in-return gave them support in the quest for revenge.
Law was there, healing the injured former slaves, spelling children into a slumber to protect them from the horrors of a war that was coming to an end. He was also poisoning the captured Celestial Dragons to incapacitate them. The Healer didn't understand the plan, but Zoro and Sanji had assured him that the Empress knew what she was doing.
Nobody other than them and the army had to know that the city was emptied before it was demolished, nobody had to know anything. Empress Robin had planned it all, scattering the prisoners of war all over the continent, and trialling them without a public hearing except for a handful of them to drive the message of their defeat harder.
When Emperor Nika arrived at the capital riding his new dragon; the sky had turned dark, as if the sun in the sky didn't want to look at anyone because of his presence. Law had noticed, like everyone present there, the arrival of the Sun God, the only one, Emperor Nika.
Nika had shined first like a twinkling star, then he was blazing like a shooting star. Law couldn't help but marvel at the glorious sight, on top of the giant dragon there he was— glowing like the sun.
Emperor Nika, his Luffy, had put on a grand display of burning down the enemies by burning everything with dragon fire, enough to instil fear to subdue any future wars. When he was done burning everything down, he had a descendant with his dragon, right where Law was.
Luffy, was unrealistically radiating and grinning despite the armour and the helmet, "My love," he had greeted Law. "The war is over." Those words had brought joy to Law's mind, but his heart was not able to handle the truth. But love was love, so he jumped to hug his Luffy, but everyone saw it was Emperor's new love interest— a commoner.
Luffy wiped the tears and kissed Law passionately in front of everyone. Unlike other kisses where it was a joyous moment in the midst of uncertainty, it was bolder, hungrier and shameless.
To the Healer's horror, Emperor Nika didn't stop at kissing and squeezing him to his heart's content, he kneeled down, and offered him a ring. There were many gasps at the revelation of the ring. Law, who was still processing the truth, accepted it without a glance.
His acceptance brought joy to Luffy, and knotted the eyebrows of the people witnessing this proposal.
Later that night, when Law went to check up on the last batch of spellbound children being sent out, he overheard enough of people's thoughts. The ring Luffy had offered belonged to the empress. Empress Nico Robin, the first wife. Emperor Nika offering the role of the chief-consort was a scary concept. An Emperor was permitted polygamy where he could marry men and women, but was it acceptable for an Emperor to have a commoner, a male commoner as consort?
That's when Law realized, and understood, who he had fallen in love with.
He went to Luffy, who kissed him more, and Law kissed him until the dangerous line he had drawn would be crossed. Then Luffy told him he would sleep in the outer tent, so that Law could sleep peacefully, his excuse was he was tired. Law knew Luffy was lying to keep his promise.
Unaware of the truth of Luffy's six marriages, and the fear of marrying him and becoming open to public scrutiny made Law do the most cowardly thing, he wrote a letter to Luffy, explaining his reasons not to marry him and placing the ring on it.
And the very next dawn-break he borrowed a horse saying there was a family emergency, and ran away.
"He is glowing."
"Well, he is the sun, isn't he." Queen Reijiu commented.
"Why are standing still? He is not passed out, just in deep sleep. He will wake up soon now that you are here." Queen Koala pushed Law inside. "Listen to him, okay, give him a chance to explain." and with that, she shut the door behind Law's back.
Enough time had passed for Law to understand, he made a mistake. Enough time had passed for Law to understand why Luffy did what he did. Now there was only one thing, accepting fate. They were meant to be together.
Not because he remembered his past life, or past love for Luffy. But because he knew, there was a gravitational pull between the two. As if no matter how far Law ran, there would always be a string pulling him back, recoiling him back into Luffy's arms.
Now that he looked at Luffy, sprawled on the bed; he was sleeping. Who could kill the sun? Law scoffed mentally and climbed onto the bed.
Luffy was warm, actually hot, feverish hot, but Law was cold too, feverish cold. He pulled the sheets and hid his cold toes between the Emperor's warm calves and coiled his long arms around his waist. Placing his head on Luffy's chest, Law sighed. He had missed being in this man's arms. He had missed his musky smell and more importantly, he knew this man was waiting for him.
"We are only three years apart you know, how dare you dry to die with poison at such a ripe age Luffy? Didn't you want to live in a cottage with me with fifteen children?" Law began talking to a god who was a very deep sleeper. "Did you not say you will love me? You will marry me, and you will make love to me every day after you put on a ring? So make love to me! Marry me! Put the fucking ring on me!" There was no response. So the Healer continued. "You know in these three, no almost four months, I only yearned for your touch. My heart was aching, my body was crying, and my throat was parched to kiss you! Now look at you, here is a man throbbing to make love to you, but you don't care! You idiot. Why didn't you tell me everything from the beginning? Why did you send your wives to me?" Law didn't realize when his tears had begun to roll down. But it was the noise of the evaporating steam from Luffy's chest that made him open his eyes, he understood for once and all, even in his unconsciousness Luffy was always protecting him. Only Trafalgar Law was allowed to hug the incarnation of the sun. If anyone else had approached him, they would've burned by now.
Wiping away his tears, Law cuddled and warped himself around Luffy, he would stay in this bed with Luffy, until and unless he woke up. If he could not hear his words, Law would make him feel his presence. The Healer kissed the Emperor on his cheeks, "Wake up, Luffy, I want to love you back."
When Law woke up, he was greeted by a bunch of children surrounding him. He looked for Luffy, but he was nowhere. Seeing the children around him, he was assured, that Luffy was awake.
"Hi, new Dad. You missed the steamed fish and crispy rice cooked by our Royal Knight turned-chef Sanji!"
Law fixed his gaze on the six princesses, they were all dressed in colourful attires, and even their hair was done and decorated in flowers, "You are O– no, Princess Toko?"
"See, I told you, he will remember our names! Now give me twenty silver coins. You can call me Toko, since you are our new Dad! You don't address us as a princess!"
"Not until he says all our names. Dad, do you know who I am?" Law looked at the girl with two pigtails, who was holding her little purse.
"You are Princess Rika? Right!"
"It is true, witches have good memory!" Toko's eyes glowed. "Who are they?" The princess continued.
"I am not a witch like Queen Nami! And you are Princess Apis, you are Princess Tama and you are Princess Mocha! And the quiet one, Princess Aisa," Law patted all of them on the head. "Now, where is your Papa?"
"Getting ready, here please have a glass of this, and I have set the bath for you. Papa is waiting for you." Prince Chopper entered the room with a tray and laid a fancy blue and yellow garment for Law. "Mocha, give Dad his glass. And Aisa go to your moms and inform them that our new Dad woke up!"
Two little hands were already making Law drink something very bitterly medicinal, while two other little feet ran off, "Where is Luffy? Is he alright?"
"He woke up two days ago."
"Wait, how long was I passed out?"
"More than 48 hours."
"Did criminal poison me?"
"No Dad!"
"Did I just faint?"
"You didn't pass out, more like, you got contaminated by Papa's sleep magic. I don't understand, even my medical knowledge has a limitation. And you know how Papa is, he will not explain anything properly! My guess is because you are a Healer, you may've absorbed some of his powers."
"You mean like a plant?"
"I think…"
"You think?"
"Anyway, did you have any dreams?"
"I had a series of dreams."
"Maybe you are gaining some stories of your past lives back."
"I am sure." Law sighed. "Can I meet Luffy?"
"Yes, once you are done with your drink and bath, please wear the clothes! And Dad, let the girls help you with the clothes. Our moms made an effort— a garment worthy of a consort."
"Consort what?"
"Nothing! See you downstairs!"
"Dad hurry! BATH TIME!" Princess Toko was pulling Law out of bed while Princess Mocha and Princess Tama pushed him from behind. The other princesses ran ahead to open the door to the washroom.
In a similar fashion, Law found himself being pushed and pulled downstairs into the grand hall. He was not expecting this. He was expecting part of this. The six queens, their partners, the children, and his family were all dressed in their best. The entire court was bowing, as if they had been waiting forever for this day.
Among them all stood out one person.
Luffy, the Emperor Nika was looking at Law with his burning pink eyes, he had shaved his stubble, and his hair was still fluffy like a white cloud tamed by the titled crown. And he was dressed in red, which made him look regal— actually, he looked like a god.
And he was holding a bunch of sunflowers and lilacs, and grinning.
Law felt his heart stop, the wolfish grin Luffy offered made the Healer's belly rumble. He knew what was happening, Luffy was going to keep his promise. By the time he reached the bottom of the steps, Law's legs had become weak. Luffy didn't let him falter, as his large hands lifted him off the feet, and carried him like a princess.
Law found every eye in the great hall on them.
"Lu, you can let me go." The look Luffy offered Law in return made the leftover words in the Healer's mouth dry up, and a blush spread all over Law's face.
"How fast can we wrap this up?" Luffy asked the priest while his eyes were devouring Law.
Once they, rather Luffy, stood face to face with the priest, while Law remained folded in his arm, he began paying attention. The green-haired priest smiled and blushed, that's when it clicked in Law's memory. He was the very same wizard, who had helped his family escape from Dressrosa and taught him blood magic.
"Hi, I lied, I was sent to protect you by the Empress." The priest offered a bow. "I am Bartolomeo."
Law turned his head and locked his eyes on Empress Robin, who in return winked and hugged Chopper. Beside her stood a tall man with blue hair, weeping his tears.
The more Law looked, the more this strange arrangement made sense. Apis stood between Queen Nami and Queen Vivi with a basket of flowers. Prince Ace and his husband had the three princesses, Aisa, Mocha, and Toko circling them. Queen Koala and Prince Sabo were holding onto an infant. And there was Queen Reiju and Princess Rebecca laughing and teasing Law. And in another corner was Zoro and Sanji with little Princess Tama.
"Your children? Your eight healthy children. No wonder people thought the Emperor was so virile and strong like a stallion despite always being away and having spent more time in the battlefield than in his castle, how did he have so many children? What magic remains in thy loins, my love? Hmm? Hmmm?" Law asked as softly as possible with the intention to tease. "You took the title of the father of the empire too seriously, huh"
Luffy looked at him with eyes that were full of mischief, and whispered back, "Now they are yours too! Dad Law? Shall we try and test the theory of my virility?" The words sent stings down the Healer's spine. "Shall we try to make them on our own?"
"Let's try!" Law didn't have the guts to look up, nor did he need to crane his neck to kiss Luffy's cheeks. So he kissed Luffy's cheeks by avoiding his gaze and squeezing Luffy hard. "I love you."
Hearing the words I love you sent the Emperor's thoughts running, "Hey Cabbage, wrap this wedding as fast as you can!"
"But—"
"But?"
"Gods will get offended!"
"Cabbage, there is only one God here!" Luffy hissed.
"Who?"
"Me! Ace and Sabo don't count. So hurry, there is a serious matter, we both need to wrap up!"
"Oi, we are gods! And we will get offended!" The brothers shouted.
"Fire and sky gods! Don't count, if I don't exist. Cabbage, wrap it up!"
"Aye, sir!"
Luffy had gobbled the wedding feast so fast that the Knight turned Royal Chef Sanji had ended up smacking his head hard!
And Empeor Nika's newlywed husband was sweating at the thought of being naked with Luffy. Now that he was with him, Luffy's broad shoulders, chiselled arms and very strong thighs were making Law twitch in fear. He had never thought about sex as a matter of top or bottom. He just knew when he was happiest with Luffy, and when he was with him the Healer wanted Luffy to do things between his legs.
The Healer remembered the words he boldly called Luffy— virile and strong like a stallion.
So when Luffy picked him up again from the feast, despite everyone protesting, the Emperor of the continent paid no heed to anyone. Like a true stallion, he marched up the stairs with a shit-eating grin. Law was left speechless at the speed his husband had walked off.
Luffy and Law went to his chamber with a bang! The Emperor had kicked open the door, galloped inside and dropped Law gently on the bed, and then ran around his personal place and locked everything.
Once the Emperor was assured, everything was sealed, he snapped his fingers and all the candles and lamps lit up.
"I have never done this before." Law almost screamed.
"Nor have I, I think the whole point of my wives meeting you was to make you understand, that this man, the love of your life, is a bloody forty-one-year-old virgin. Law, do you still have a doubt in me? If you don't want to proceed, we will not. I just want to be with you, sex or no sex."
"I know, Lu, I am not doubting you. I never did. I am—" Law hid his face in his palms. "You are so magnificent!"
Luffy sat on the bed and began pulling his boots, "You are afraid?"
The Healer nodded.
The Emperor continued tossing his attires and garments, all over the place and flopped over, after a pause, "Have you seen your physique? You can fold me in half and ravish me!" The Healer confessed. "I know how you eat, and I fear you will gobble me up!" Luffy pulled Law's hands away from his face and grinned like a greedy dog and kissed his fingers.
"But, I will ravish you."
The Healer pulled his palm away and his husband's arm, "LUFFY!" Law hit his husband's arms again and again without any force.
"LAW!" Luffy rolled over, hid his face in Law's lap and took a deep breath, "Tell me what you want. I will do it."
"I am scared."
"If you want to wait, I will wait for you. We can go to sleep. And take it slow. If I have waited twenty years, I can wait another twenty."
"Are you a saint?" Law grabbed Luffy's fluffy white hair, and lifted his face up. The pink eyes had turned crimson and, like an animal in heat, the Emperor of the nation hissed his reply.
"NO!"
"Why can't you force me, a tiny bit? You could've easily broken the door to my backroom and taken me. So why?"
"Because I promised you, to respect your choice. If Law wants to be ravished, I will ravish him! If Law wants to wait, I will wait. It will not be the first time, we had a relationship without sex before. Who knows, in the next lifetime, you will be a nymphomaniac siren and I, the sailor you lure?"
"I don't have the luxury of lifetimes like you do!"
"Why are you scolding me?"
"Because, you know things and I don't know. From what you say, you know me so well, and yet I have to fall in love anew every new life. It is unfair."
"You chose these. I just consented." Luffy broke free from Law's grabby fingers, further nuzzled his face in his husband's lap and hugged his waist. "You really love scolding me."
"READ THE ROOM!"
"I AM BAD AT READING ROOM! Just tell me what you want, and I will give it to you. Do you want to top me?" Luffy yelled, pushing the Healer into the pillow, just like their first kiss. "Tell me, do you want me to top you? Law in this lifetime, I have only known violence and loss. You are my precious one. So you have to talk with me, you cannot think things up in your head and be angry at me for things I didn't have control or knowledge of."
"I didn't want to run away."
"But you ran away!"
"I was scared of everything!"
"You wrote me a letter, and you ran away like I was a plague chasing you," Luffy was looking at Law like he could see through all these stupid excuses he had built up as solid reasoning. "You didn't wait for my side of the story." The Emperor lowered his head, and kissed Law's cheek. "I was hurt when you refused to see me." He kissed Law's other cheek. "I waited every day for an entire month. But you didn't look at me." Law's nose was kissed. "Tell me Law, why should I force you now, when I have never ever forced you, my love?" The kisses had already done their intended task. Law could feel the swell in between his thighs. Luffy kissed his left eye. "Tell me Trafalgar Law, why should I?" Luffy kissed his right eye and then hovered his mouth a few centimetres above Law's lips, sending warmth and musky smell into the Healer's system, "Tell me?"
"Because I am sorry! I hurt you and I am shy!" Law freed himself and kissed Luffy on the mouth, charging straight for the tongue. He could feel Luffy's hands holding me gently still, unsure to move. So grabbed his hands and brought them to his chest. "Fuck me, Emperor Nika." Law's eyes were crying for release. "Fuck me until I remember the shape of your cock even in my dreams."
"Aye, aye, my love."

[And if you are minor reading, do so at your own descreation]
Law's desperate plea was enough for the Emperor to understand his need. Luffy quickly freed of his clothes— the easiest way was to burn it!
"Lu! You burned your wedding clothes?"
"Only the under-shirt and the pants and undergarments, and in case you forgot, I have six more of those!"
"Not helping!" Law was now truly scared at the sight of the naked Luffy in front of him. For a man shorter than him, Luffy carried something way bigger than Law had ever imagined.
"Should I burn yours?"
"NO! I will undo it myself!" Law looked at Luffy's cock and gulped. "Sit there, let me adjust myself, okay!"
Like a German Shepherd, the great Emperor Nika now sat on the bed naked and expectant. His fluffy luminescent hair was swishing and swooshing, and his pink eyes hungrily devouring the sight of the Healer's body as his husband now stripped himself of his wedding clothes.
Law was taller, and Luffy hated that the love of his life was always taller and lankier, in every lifetime! Luffy was always shorter and broader, or a version of short in whatever species he was.
As soon as the tall husband was very naked with an equally erect cock, the Sun God pulled him by the ankle and dumped him in the centre of the extravagant bed and threw his wedding clothes somewhere. Luffy's room was now pitch black, the candles he had littered the entire chamber with dimmed, just to imitate fireflies.
"So, may I ravish you, my love?" the Emperor teased.
"Kiss me!" the Healer begged, and the Emperor gladly took his lips, until the other was left with an overwhelming need to breathe.
Luffy straddled himself on Law's lap and took their weeping cocks in his broad muscular palm and began stroking them, not so gently. The Healer was impatient, just like an eager virgin, he wanted to do something but didn't know what to do with his hands and grabbed the Emperor's butt and kneaded them while his mouth got fucked by Luffy's tongue.
Law's lips were Luffy's favourite cuisine, and when he was sure he had overstimulated Law with the kiss, he offered a tender bite on the bottom lip. Luffy continued groaning like a dog in heat and moving his butt on Law's lap, while his calloused palm stroked their very leaky cocks.
"You can be rougher." Law broke the kiss to egg the Emperor on, who gripped the cocks so hard, that he feared Luffy would uproot them like carrots. Law didn't complain. He wanted this strength, he wanted his brutal love Luffy was born with, in this lifetime.
Luffy Lifted Law up so that they were facing each other. The Healer's mouth trailed down his husband's neck and bit him on his crook like an animal gnawing on its prey. This made him earn a yank on his hair with Luffy's free hand, the broad hand had caressed his entire skull and held him. The Emperor didn't stop stroking, and continued his aggressive movements.
Soon the Emperor's mouth was back on Law. He wanted to be ravished and was now being showered with love bites. The last bite on ended on Law's nipples, which made his cock splutter months worth of pent-up desire.
"Oh ho! Someone has been holding back." The Emperor teased his husband, who averted his eyes. "Why are you hiding these beautiful golden eyes? Show me! Law!"
Law rubbed his cheeks on Luffy's chest, "Touching each other was not enough, I want you to be buried inside him. I want my husband to rain inside me! Fill me up to the brim, Luffy!" The Healer decided to be bolder and quench the thirst that had been with him since the first day he saw Luffy. And so he pulled his husband's thick fingers into his mouth and sucked them. Once he was sure, they were drenching and supple to him, he asked Luffy, "Put your cock inside me, husband."
All Luffy heard was, his husband Law wanted him.
The Emperor turned him over and made him raise his buttocks like a cat. The Healer buried his face in the pillow. Luffy played with Law's entrance, his wrinkled fingers rubbed the Healer— he spent a lot of time massaging and loosening his husband.
The bold Law was gone and replaced with a shy one, and he hid his face well under the pillows, hoping to suppress his voice. The truth was far from it.
"Are you afraid of what comes next? If you don't like it, we can wait." Luffy was genuinely concerned.
"No."
"No?"
"Do not tease me, Luffy. Please hurry up already. We have been mentally fucking each other for almost two years! PUT IT IN" Law pitifully raised and rammed his butt into Luffy's thick fingers on blind intuition, the single finger was not enough. So again, and again, he tried to chase the high of the orgasm he was being denied.
Luffy was enjoying it, he wanted to bully his husband. He wanted Law to beg until his needs were expressed clearly, he had not forgotten the three-months of divorced life he had lived. "DO ME PLEASE."
Since Law could see Luffy's face, he lied, "I am sorry. I was not teasing, I will enter my fingers now."
The fingers entered Law smoothly and fast, but the pleasure bundle was not easy to find. Luffy spread his husband's legs apart, while the younger man was groaning in shame. His insides twitched for the Emperor's cock, but the thick fingers were unable to find the tiny bulge inside the Healer.
"Just put the cock in me! You will find the spot!" The Healer hissed. He was impatient, the itch was burning all over!
"We need lubricant," Luffy concluded, just saliva is not enough. "Law needs more wetting, and moisture shishishis! Because my fire magic is basically heat, I can dry you up faster and turn your insides crisp-like toasts!
"I hate bread! Including toast!"
"Awww. I know, spoilt Law hates bread! But! Law—-you don't want dry intercourse now, do you, babes?"
"You have lubricants? Do you?"
"I am the Emperor, I have everything. Reijiu made us many!"
"I don't trust that criminal!" Law protested. "What if I die while having an orgasm because she poisoned the lube?"
"There, there. She is slightly evil, but she won't kill her lord husband, who helped her escape a shitty marriage and subjugated her evil brothers and father!" Luffy snapped his fingers and multiple bottles landed on the bed.
"You know summoning magic?"
"Honey, I am magic, I can do a lot more. But right now, I want to do only you!" Luffy squeezed Law's naked buttocks played with Law's insides with his layered fingers, and grinned like a hyena. "Oh boy, you see yourself from my eyes, your little butt spread like butter, your sexy back arched for me and I can see your front is oozing, your cock is more honest than you dear! Can't believe, you have restraining yourself from having sex all these years! You really create means of self-torture, my love." Luffy pulled Law closer, "Here they are, dear. How does your hole feel without my fingers?"
The Healer felt the fingers leaving him slowly, and then Luffy was just teasing his entrance, Law wanted them to stay inside him. Unable to suppress his voice any longer or his needs, Law ended up raising his buttocks higher like a cat in heat, and whined. "Please take me, Luffy."
"Say again?"
"Do me!"
"I will gobble you up— Soon" Luffy did not wait any longer and pulled the pillows away, freeing Law from them. "I love you! And now I will love you."
Law murmured, "Take me now."
"Not like dogs, we are doing it like humans." Luffy turned Law over to face him. The new husband was soaking with excitement. Luffy moisturized his cock with lubricants and Law's entrance lavishly. He was soon overcome by desire and pushed the cock inside Law like an arrow hitting the board. And so he did.
Luffy hit Law where he wanted, his pleasure bundle. The first thirst made the Healer jerk up thanks to Luffy's force. "Sorry." Luffy bit his lips and took a few more deep breaths. "You are tighter than my fingers assumed."
The Emperor didn't dare to move again, because suddenly he recalled how addictive sex was thanks to all the memories from every lifetime he had taken Law as his life-partner. The Healer was always the impatient one when it came to sex, but he needed to adjust first. Law groaned and whined. "Nope, not until I am sure you have adjusted entirely."
"Please."
"I plan to fuck you all night. So nope. I can still feel your rim twitching. RELAX."
"How the fuck can I relax? Sex is the opposite of everything, that relaxation is supposed to mean! FUCK ME."
Law continued his whining for a while. But Luffy only began moving when he finally felt Law relax around his cock, and at last nodded.
Once Luffy began ramming inside Law. Everything was forgotten by the Healer. Only pleasure dominated their body. Law's loud moans and Luffy's growl filled the chamber. Echoes of moans were soon drowned by the noises of skin slapping. The Healer was getting his mouth fucked by the Emperor's tongue. His body was grabbed and pinched and rubbed in every possible way by the stallion he had married. He had wanted to fuck so badly, and Luffy gave him his heart's desire, he moved faster and harder, and Law's back arched his back like a bow to get more of Luffy's pointed cock, every time Luffy hit his special spot— the Healer felt waves of pleasure travelling all over his body.
The Healer concluded sex was addictive. He coiled his legs around Luffy, who raised him up and made him sit on his lap. The change of intensity of Luffy's cock thrusting made Law bite his husband's lips, yet, Luffy didn't stop him kissing. Soon he could feel a surge in his body, the first orgasm of their married life made Law's mind fly like a kite. Luffy didn't delay his orgasm. Law orgasmed while riding Luffy's orgasm.
The first climax was just the beginning, just like Luffy had promised. The two old virgins had finally tasted the forbidden apple!
The Healer was not satisfied nor was the Emperor, after the first round, the couple was on a tour of the Emperor's chamber! Luffy had grabbed Law up by the waist and taken him on the floor, this time like animals.
From the floor, he took his new husband on his ornate table. When Luffy broke the legs of the ornate table, he decided to ruin the invaluable wolf fur rug, a souvenir from his first war. Law was for to gone to complain about the obscenity his husband was making him experience. He was addicted to Luffy's cock, making him feel light like a butterfly and happy like an alcoholic. Luffy could break the whole castle for all he cared, he just wanted to be fucked senseless.
And so they were rutting each other like animals in heat.
When the climax on the rug was not enough, Law pulled Luffy to the seat on the balcony that overlooked the garden and Law rode him. It was never enough to be buried inside each other. Luffy never had enough of Law, he always wanted to blend into Law's soul and become the speck of energy they were.
Luffy dug his fingers into his husband's hips and pushed him up and down his cock. The Healer's lips were swollen, his eyes golden drunk on lust and unintentionally the magic Luffy was pumping into him.
Law moaned and panted, the lubricants were soon replaced with Luffy's cum. Law's entrance was overflowing with Luffy's seeds. From the shattered balcony chair, they went to bed again as it was the only place immune to Luffy's strength, from the bed they again landed on the floor.
Legends say that the Emperor filled his virgin husband with his cum twenty-seven times on their wedding night and toyed with his husband's body like a dog with his chew toy until the sun rose. When asked if this was true later by the tabloids of the continent? The Emperor had just laughed. Which sparks debate about the actual count.
When the first sunshine landed on Law's very clawed and bitten back the next day, Luffy began to cry loudly, he had spent decades looking for the love of his life. Unable to understand what the pain was the Healer didn't know how to help. But the Healer had engulfed his husband into a tight embrace and patted his head the entire morning until he had dried off his tears.
In every battle that he fought after his god powers manifested, Luffy always turned the dead bodies to look at their faces, he was always gripped by fear of having lost him, losing the moon always hurt, and if he lost him even before meeting him in this life, Luffy wouldn't have bared the loss! And every time he had a lead on Law's location— his heart, full of hope, suffered. He had to lose his hope again and again, and every time the person they found was not his soulmate.
Hence, when he saw Law, again in the army camp, in his apron, his heart was full of joy, and he didn't wait for the slow-burn romance. Time was a luxury only he understood, to him every moment with Law was a gift. When the Healer ran away from the camp, Luffy knew, that this time love was not going to be easy. He had to do everything in order to convince Law to accept him, at last when he decided to drink a gallon of Reiju's poison, he was desperate, he knew only the threat of this death would make the Healer lose his mind.
Now that Law was here, Luffy was elated. His lover was tucked safely in his arms. He was not letting him go, until the end of this lifetime.

Epilogue
Three years later, news spread, that the famous Emperor Nika and his favourite seventh spouse had met a terrible accident at the sea. The wreckages of their ship were discovered a few weeks later. After the tragic accident, the entire continent was shocked. Everyone was searching for the bodies of the Emperor and his spouse, and in such manners months went by; when nothing was found, the second Prince Sabo took his brother's throne and made his brother's widow Koala the new Empress.
The entire continent mourned the loss of the great Emperor for another year. The former empress went into retirement and the other widows of Emperor Nika, except for now Empress Koala, went back to their former kingdoms and took the helm of the ruling with the blessing of their brother-in-law, the new Emperor.
And in the far south, at the edge of the continent, in the little Kingdom of Ohara, in the remote forests in the midst of the tall mountains, there was a Castle called Home. Where lived children who had lost parents, families, homes and countries during the great war.
Away from the memories and ruins of their countries, they were loved and cared for by two men whom they addressed as Dad and Papa.
Their Dad was the Healer who always made sure they had taken meals on time, had taken their medicines and most importantly shared their sad thoughts when they missed their old life. And the man who lived with their Healer Dad did nothing but bother their kind, Dad. When he was not bothering their Dad, their Papa played with them, taught them to identify mushrooms, learn how to ride horses, chop wood, punch people and wield a sword; despite their Dad warning him not to.
And their Dad was sort after Healer, Prince Ace's husband Yamato came to visit the Home, demanding surgery. After the successful job was done, the Prince's husband returned with more friends who needed their Dad's magical treatment. When the children asked their Papa, why so many people wanted to change things with their bodies, their Papa shrugged and said the body was a container that needed to match the shape of the soul, not the other way around.
Occasionally, the former empress of the nation dropped in on a pink dragon, to visit the Home. With her came new books, stories and news of the outside world. Though their Papa seemed least interested, their Dad loved listening to it all. Sometimes the former Empress brought her step-children with her, who would fight among themselves on who would get more time to spend with their Dad and totally ignored their sulking Papa.
But every night, after tucking the children to sleep, there would be little giggles and muttering all around the castle just after all the lamps were blown out. Their Papa and Dad would talk with each other and discuss anything and everything under the moon and drink tea.
At the end of each night their good-for-nothing, Papa would always carry their kind and caring Dad up the stairs with a spring in his feet and a shit-eating grin on his face, and make their Papa feel embarrassed every night.
