"I'm glad we're having this conversation right now," I said.
"Yeah!" he smiled.
"I mean, it doesn't make any sense to go on with the relationship based on this idiotic, not strings attached approach!" He said.
'Idiotic'? I mean, I agreed with him, but I didn't like to hear it from him!
"Things were different when we began, but things change... People change!" He said.
"Exactly!" I said.
Okay, I didn't want to drag this!
I was suddenly feeling so low and I had a feeling I might end up crying or breaking down in front of him, and that was the last thing I wanted to do!
"Edward... Look... I know what you're trying to say, and I don't think we should drag this conversation. I totally understand your point of view. I think we can just end it without going into the details."
"Hmmm?" He said. He looked confused.
Was he surprised that I was talking about breaking up so easily? But was there any other option?
"That's what we decided, right? That at any point if anyone wants to leave, we will just end everything without questioning anything. So... This is it! It's simple! I don't think there is any need to make this complicated," I smiled.
I was surprised I could manage to force a fake smile!
I just wanted to cry, and for that, I wanted him to leave as soon as possible! And well, for that to happen, we needed to end this conversation as soon as possible!
