Vanny sighs as she approaches the daycare to chase down Gregory and Glamrock Freddy.
'How did it get to this point?' Vanny thinks to herself on her way to daycare.
The flashbacks show Vanessa getting ready to test out help wanted.
"Let us know if you find anything!" Dale tells Vanessa as he reminds her of her task.
After nodding, Vanessa begins playing the game and has fun at first.
However, she notices strange tapes and starts collecting them.
She encounters Glitchtrap at that point, but she continues collecting tapes.
Glitchtrap simply laughs as Vanessa collects the tapes.
"Hello," Vanessa says, waving to Glitchtrap.
Glitchtrap waves back chuckling.
"Can I help you?" Vanessa asks, looking at him.
"Yes, you can in fact," Glitchtrap replies as he approaches her.
"Are you an NPC or anything?" Vanessa inquires curiously.
"You could say that," Glitchtrap responds as he stares at her.
"Oh cool, well, what do you need me to do?" Vanessa queries him.
"Be on the lookout for some more tapes," Glitchtrap answers her question.
"Oh, alright, I'll do that," Vanessa says, agreeing to do it.
"Excellent!" Glitchtrap says a bit excitedly.
Vanessa begins collecting tapes and listening to them as well.
After she's done collecting the tapes, Glitchtrap appears and thanks her.
"I am grateful, but what happens next?" Vanessa asks, wondering what will happen next.
"Now we can get started, my dear!" Glitchtrap replies, extending his arm.
Something begins to happen to Vanessa as she clutches her head.
"What exactly is happening?" Vanessa inquires, curious as to what is going on.
"We are merging, my dear!" Glitchtrap explains with a chuckle.
Vanessa is attempting to remove the headset, but it is not working!
"Please, don't struggle, my dear; it will be over soon," Glitchtrap says, trying to reassure Vanessa.
Vanessa collapses to the ground, clutching her head.
Her head is hurting, but then it suddenly stops.
"Can you tell me what just happened?" Vanessa asks, unsure what has just happened.
"My dear, we have merged," Glitchtrap explains.
"What's going to happen now?" Vanessa asks Glitchtrap.
"We can now officially begin," Glithtrap replies, smirking.
"First, make a mask," Glitchtrap instructs Vanessa.
"Why?" Vanessa asks, curious why he wants her to make a mask.
"You'll see, my dear, just do it," Glitchtrap demands.
She nods as she gets to work making a bunny mask.
"Sir, I'm done with the mask," Vanessa tells Glitchtrap.
"Excellent," Glitchtrap remarks, staring at the mask.
"Now, before we begin, I must know what your name is," Glitchtrap adds, needing to know her name.
"My name is Vanessa, sir," Vanessa introduces herself.
"Well, Vanessa, you can call me your boss from now on," Glitchtrap adds, his eyes glowing entirely purple.
"What are you doing?" Vanessa asks, staring into his eyes.
"You're mine now, my dear!" Glitchtrap answers as he takes control.
Vanessa stiffens, and her eyes turn purple.
"Now, you're my follower and will assist me, my dear!" Glitchtrap tells Vanessa what her new mission is.
"I'm your follower, and I will assist you," Vanessa says monotonously.
"All right, my dear, now I want you to start researching," Glitchtrap urges Vanessa.
Vanessa gives a nod and removes the headset.
"Ness, are you alright, you were talking to yourself a lot," a familiar voice behind Vanessa asks.
Vanessa turns around to see Luis standing behind her.
"Yeah, Luis, I'm fine, but I have to go," Vanessa says as she walks away.
Vanessa sits at a computer and begins researching.
Someone interrupts her as she's beginning to do her research, though.
"Vanessa, did you find anything?" The boss asks, interrupting her research.
"No, I didn't, Dale, I'm sorry," Vanessa says, lying as she glances away from him.
She feels a slap on her face from Dale as she steps back.
Vanessa's eyes are normal now and she starts to cry.
"You're so useless, you know that?" Dale asks, glaring at her.
"Please, stop, sir!" Vanessa screams and begs Dale to stop.
"You're nothing, and that's all you will ever be!" Dale yells at her aggressively.
"Sir, please, I'm sorry," Vanessa adds as she covers her face.
"Just make sure it doesn't happen again, you useless lady!" Dale yells fiercely at her as he walks away.
"Ness, are you alright?" Luis approaches her and asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Luis," Vanessa says, sighing as a red mark appears on her face.
"I saw what happened that wasn't cool," Luis consoles Vanessa.
"It's fine, Luis, really, and, besides, he's right, I'm nothing," Vanessa sighs.
"You're not nothing to me, Ness," Luis adds as he embraces her.
"Thanks, I guess," Vanessa says with a sigh.
"Wait, Ness, are you sure you're alright?" He asks, wanting to make sure she's okay.
"Yes, I need to return to work now," Vanessa replies.
"Okay, but maybe you'd like to grab a coffee later?" Luis asks a bit nervously.
"Well, I'll think about it," Vanessa replies as she gets back to work.
"Fine, just let me know if there is anything I can do," Luis says, blushing a bit.
"I will, Luis," Vanessa says as she watches him walk away.
Suddenly, Glitchtrap appears on Vanessa's computer screen.
"Is everything alright with you, my dear?" Glitchtrap asks, curious about her wellbeing.
In response, Vanessa nods as she sighs, as if she's thinking about something.
"My dear, something is wrong, now tell me what it is," Glitchtrap says, eagerly seeking answers.
"My boss is right, I'm nothing," Vanessa finally admits, sighing.
"You won't be for long, my dear, just trust me, and soon you will be more," Glitchtrap promises, vowing to assist Vanessa in becoming more.
Vanessa agrees, and she begins doing what he instructs, spreading the virus throughout the building.
Then she focuses on research on her computer, but that's when Luis emails her.
She never responds to the messages, but she doesn't mind because she secretly has a crush on Luis.
That's why she follows his advice in the emails, and it keeps her out of trouble.
However, as time passes, employees at the company begin to worry about the virus spreading across the building.
Dale holds a company meeting to resolve the issue, and everyone shows up.
"So, I suggest we call someone to deal with this," Dale says as he starts the meeting.
"I can do it," Vanessa says quickly as everyone turns to face her.
"What do you possibly know about coding, Mrs. Addams?" Dale inquires, looking at Vanessa.
"I've been getting lessons from someone, so I can do it," Vanessa says uneasily.
"I say we let her do it, Ness is very smart after all," Luis says, echoing Vanessa's sentiments.
Dale hesitantly agrees to let Vanessa handle the situation.
Vanessa talks to Glitchtrap and convinces him to slow down the virus's transmission for the time being.
"I need you to start making a suit, anyway," Glitchtrap instructs her on what to do.
Vanessa nods and orders the materials to begin making a suit.
Luis loves her new look after she puts rainbow highlights on her brunette hair.
Vanessa eventually finishes the costume, and that's when she discovers the pizzaplex.
She informs Glitchtrap of the news, and he instructs her to get Luis to suggest her to the higher-ups.
Vanessa nods and walks over to speak with Luis.
"Um, hey, Luis, have you heard about the pizzaplex?" Vanessa asks, glancing at Luis.
"Oh, yeah, I'm transferring there actually," Luis responds, disclosing to her that he is relocating there.
"Well, I was wondering if you could see about convincing the higher ups to let me transfer there too?" Vanessa asks him for a favor.
"I'm not sure if I can do that, Ness; I might get in trouble," Luis says, not wanting to be in trouble.
"You said you'd help me with anything, though," Vanessa replies, furious.
"I know, but this job is really important to me, Ness," Luis tries to reassure her.
Vanessa suddenly begins choking Luis, clearly upset with him.
"Now, you listen here, boy, you're going to do what I say or I'll kill you!" Vanessa shouts angrily at him.
Vanessa gasps as she stops herself after realizing what she's doing.
Luis gasps for air as he gets up from the ground.
"Look, I'll see what I can do okay, just please stay away from me!" Luis yells as he backs away from her.
"Luis, wait, I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me!" Vanessa yells, attempting to stop Luis.
"I don't know what's gotten into you either, but you've changed," Luis says, looking away from her.
Vanessa sobs slightly as she turns away from Luis.
"I hope you get the help you need, Ness," Luis adds as he walks away.
"He was only slowing you down, anyway, my dear," Glitchtrap murmurs within Vanessa's thoughts.
"I liked him, though," Vanessa admits, sadly.
"Don't be silly, you need to stay the course, my dear," Glitchtrap reminds her.
Vanessa hesitantly agrees with him, and she returns to her apartment.
After the incident with Luis, she's transferred over to the pizzaplex, and that's when she starts getting therapy.
"You're almost ready, my dear, there's just one more thing you need to do," Glitchtrap says, pleased with Vanessa's progress.
"What's that?" Vanessa inquires, unsure of what she should do next.
Vanessa's eyes widen as Glitchtrap murmurs something into her ear.
"I can't do that, that's wrong!" Vanessa screams that she will not do it.
"That doesn't matter, my dear, do you want to be more or not?" Glitchtrap inquries, looking at her.
Vanessa nods as she puts on her homemade white rabbit suit.
"Now, prove to me that you're ready, my dear," Glitchtrap commands.
"Yes, sir," Vanny responds, ready to go.
Meanwhile, Dale is finishing up the night's work at the company building when he hears something behind him.
Something sharp, however, sneaks into his throat before he can turn back.
Dale collapses on the ground as blood flows from his neck.
"Well, done, my dear, you're ready," Glitchtrap declares triumphantly over Vanny.
The flashback concludes as Vanny arrives at the daycare in the present.
'I wish I could have done things differently,' Vanny thinks as she enters the daycare.
