Chapter 1: Hedgehogs and Krakens
Sonic comes towards the end of traveling through the vortex portal, where he pops out to the other side where it was underwater, he struggles to get out but it was no used, as he was merely drowning slowly closing his eyes.
However, that water he's in wasn't normal, as his left hand glowed dots from his fingers to the plam, a line of going dots went up his arm, Gills revealed them selves glowing on his neck and then, he opened his eyes glowing even more so bright, and released a huge blue pulse, reaching out sea, while also scattering the emeralds.
Just then, a Giant Anonymous thing swan up to the surface, there Sonic was launch out of the water, falling onto the ground face front, he tried to get up, but his head was stuck.
Somewhere else, the pulse reached out farther into the depths of the ocean into the twilight zone, where a Giant tentacle like castle was, the pulse reached the place and inside a Yellowish Green Giant Kraken, who was the Queen of this kingdom, felt this pluse as it reached the place.
"What was that? Could it be... another Kraken? Brill!"
She requested someone to her and it was a small greenish blue Kraken, who was her son, named Brill.
"You called, Mamah?"
"I sensed something, it could be another Kraken."
"Really?"
"I don't know what, but it could be a new threat, get Ruby and investigate what it was immediately."
"You got it."
Brill said swimming to the exit, out of the kingdom and straight to the surface, until he stopped and spotted something shiny.
"What's that? No no stay focused Brill."
He continued upwards to a water-like city, called Oceanside.
The scene goes to a School, where the Bell rung and students were leaving the place, there we see Ruby Gillman, part Teenager, and part Giant Kraken, protecter of the Ocean and Oceanside, and a Mathlete, and she's with her friends, a group they formed "Squad solidarity" Featuring Wacky Drama Queen Margot, Kooky Catastrophist Bliss, Gaming Livestreamer Trevin, and they're newest member, Mr. Skater boy and Ruby's crush, Connor, and they were just talking about what to do now that schools over.
"Alright Squad, what shall we do for the rest of the day?"
Margot asked the group.
"We could do a fortune telling where spirits can tell us the future."
"Too Baloney, Trevin?"
"Host a Livestream about the history of video games."
"To geeky, Connor? Ruby? anything?"
"We could-"
They talked at the same time.
"Sorry Rubes, you go first."
"No no, you were before me, you go."
"Please, ladies first."
"I insist..."
They kept this going on until they looked to see the rest of the group smirking at them.
"So yeah, uh... how about the park?
Connor cleared his throat.
"Yeah, yeah that'll do just fine."
Ruby blushed.
"The park it is, onward!"
Margot said as the group starting their next project for the day.
"Ruby!! Ruby!!"
Someone was calling for Ruby's name, she looked to see someone running towards her, it was Brill, and he was out of breath, leaving her to sigh.
"Sorry guys, I don't think I can come due to-"
"We know."
They all said looking understanding as she headed for her enthusiastic Uncle.
"What's the Emergency?"
"Ruby... Pluse... Another... Another..."
"Ok ok, deep breaths and start over."
She said as he did exactly what she said.
"Ok, it all started when I found a crumb floating around:i gave it a lick and it had no flavor, so i grab some nearby kelp, wrapped it around and it tasted really good-"
"No, I meant to the point."
"Oh right, anyway, we felt another Kraken pulse."
"What?!"
"Well actually we don't know excacly what, your grandmother felt it, I was too busy with the crumb thing."
"There's Another Kraken?! We gotta check this out!"
She said running off with Brill slowly starting to run.
"Wait up... I just got here."
He said, meanwhile with Sonic, he was still on the ground face front, getting up but his head stuck, he stood on all fours, and popped out, spitting out dirt and rubbing his head.
"Deja Vu."
He said looking around.
"What just happened?"
He looked around himself to see he looked the same, but saw his right hand glowing.
"Whoa, that's new, Tails do you know what-"
He then realized the main topic.
"Tails? Amy? Guess I'm the only one who fell into that... what ever it was, and the Emeralds too, so find the Emeralds and get back home, piece of cake."
He then looked down to his hand to see it's still glowing.
"Eh, I'll figure this out later, here goes!"
He said stretching and then dashed off.
