Chapter 2: A Mermaid's Tale of a crush.

With Ruby and Brill, they were on the trail of this mysterious other Kraken, with Brill acting like a ninja

"We must use stealth, move silently, for their is an unknown creature that has yet to reveal itself."

"Hey look, over here."

Ruby said as she found a pit.

"Excellent."

Brill said picking up dirt, picking it, and taste.

"Hm... still warm... it seems a face was planted on here... it's not Kraken... or human either."

"And you got all that by licking it?"

"No, it could be just a pit, thought I learned from it after your Mom ran me over once."

He said as Ruby looked surprised.

"I don't think I wanna know."

But she ignored it as she brought her pet Loch Ness, Nessie, out of her bag.

"Ok Nessie, sniff it out."

She said as Nessie sniffed around the area, and then he got the scent, followed it and found foot prints.

"Good Boy."

Ruby said as she and Brill followed Nessie into town, with Sonic, he ran down a road that led into town, he then stopped to look at a sign and read it.

""Welcome to Oceanside, home of the Kraken protectors, the Gillmans" Kraken protectors? And what's a Gillman? I guess I might be on someone else's Territory, better lay low."

He then looked down to see his hand still glowing even more.

"Ok, there's something up with this, but ill deal with it later."

He said dashing off again into town, meanwhile in town, a boat like tour bus just finished a drive, with tourists leaving.

"Thank you for coming aboard on Captain Lighthouse's tour, come again any time."

Said an old man with a peg leg, talking like a sailor, who is Captain Gordon lighthouse, along with him is a Crab on his shoulder whom he calls Davey.

"Great work out there, Davey, another successful tour, thanks to yours truly."

He said as Davey sinpped.

"Yes and you too, I didn't forget you.

He then started to leave.

"Take 20 Mermaid Girl, I'll be back, and don't think about escaping while I'm gone, I've got me eye on you... And me other one too!"

He said, as Davey copied him, leaving a Red haired girl wearing a sailor outfit who was actually a Mermaid, and none other than Ruby's Ex bestie, Chelsea Van Der Zee, also known by the Sea, Queen Nerissa, who sighed, feeling trapped, which was her fault, but dosen't want to admit it.

"How did it come to this? Me, Pretty and misunderstood, trapped in a dump like this, if Gillman didn't survive, the entire Ocean would have been in my grasp, and my people would have been freed, now I feel like I'm getting wrinkles just moping."

She then felt a small breeze.

"Ha, that actually feels nice."

That small breeze got huge as something blew past her.

"Now that was unacceptable!"

She got off the bus, looking for the one responsible.

"Who- huh?"

She saw something blue looking around, or someone, Chelsea/Nerissa then hid.

"What is that?"

She said in her mind as the thing turned around to reveal his face, She then widened her eyes as the Thing moved it's head in slow motion, Chelsea's was blushing all over, her heart beating crazy, Thing started walking towards her.

"Hey there, you need a rescuer."

It asked.

"Oh yes, free me my knight in shining armor."

Chelsea said as they got so close to each other they were about to kiss, until the bell rung, Chelsea woke up to see she was daydreaming, she looked to see her new idol was there, snd and he was, he looked so to his hand to see it still glowing and dashed off again before anyone spotting him, without noticing, Chelsea saw him from far away.

"Who was that?"

She said feeling love struck.

"I must have him! but I can't leave. Well good thing I secretly made this dummy, humans are so stupid anyway."

She said bringing out a dummy version of her and left after her knight in shining armor, leaving the dummy out, with Sonic he felt like he searched high and low for any kind of emerald and need a place to hide from any human, he found an empty place and went inside to take cover.

"Oh man, I feel like I search the whole place, but I couldn't find one emerald."

He then sat down.

"Just where can I find them?"

He looked down to his hand to see it still glowing, he took off his glove to see he it was bigger than his other hand and had tentacles for fingers.

"Whoa?"

He looked do to see his Legs getting bigger and longer, with two more legs, with his Tail extended out too.

"What the?!"

He then saw both his hands glowing and growing longer, and he started to get bigger and bigger.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's happening!?"

He grew even more bigger and bigger until he was to big for the place, outside, Ruby and Brill still followed Nessie, who was still hot on the trail.

"You know I wish I had extra legs, man that loch ness is fast."

Brill said as he was once again out of breath, Nessie then pointed to the building, where the "Unknown Kraken" is hiding.

"Great job, Ness."

Ruby said petting him

then they heard something coming out of the bushes and it was Chelsea/Nerissa.

"Where are you my Knight-"

She then stopped to see her Ex bestie and they both gave each other the stink eye.

"Ruby."

"Chelsea... Nerissa... whoever you are."

"Uhh... awkward."

Brill whispered to Nessie who nodded.

"What are you doing here? None of your business!"

They said at the same time.

"Shouldn't you be a tour guide on another tour?"

"Shouldn't you be all protecting the ocean and stuff?"

"FYI, my job is more difficult than yours."

"Excuse Moi?! do you have any idea how many times my hair has been pulled by little brats?"

"I wish i had popcorn."

Brill whispered to Nessie, just then they both saw the building in front of them quaking.

"Uhh... girls."

"Not now Uncle Brill, Oh yeah? Well try to save a sinking cruise ship, you can't!"

"Girls."

"Maybe if i had the, I Dunno, the Trident sill on me, I can do whatever I want to any ship!"

"Girls!"

"We'll maybe you'd still have it, If You Hadn't Lied And Betrayed Me And Almost Killed My Mom And Grandmother!"

"Well Didn't Your Mommy Tell You Not To Trust A Mermaid?"

"Girls!"

"I Trusted You Because You Tricked Me Into Trusting You!"

"Well If Your Mom Hadn't Lied To You Your Whole Life, We Would Have Been Best Friends Then Enemies Sooner."

"I'd Just Be Your Enemy Anyway If That Made Sense!"

"Girls!"

"Shut Up You Lazy Fat Peanut Brained Idiot!"

"Don't You Talk To Him Like That!"

"GIRLS!!"

"WHAT!?!?!?"

Brill pointed behind them, they looked to see the building quaking, they went to hide as then something huge bust opening the roof, and it revealed to be Sonic as a Giant Weird looking Kraken Like Hedgehog, looking the same only, with new changes.

His eyes are still green but with weried symbols inside, the inside of his Ears are dark blue with suctions inside, the Tan around his mouth is now light blue, His Hair and Spikes on his back extended longer with a line of suctions on each, his arms are now Blue and more longer with white hands and Fins on each wrist and tentacles for fingers, the inside of his chest was the same only light blue with Ancient markings, he has 4 legs, each with Red feet and a white stripe horizontally, Ankles have some kind of white fin around, and His Tail Extended out, being the size of his legs and looking like a flipper, but it looks like a fifth leg.

"Whoa, whoa whoa!"

Sonic struggled balancing on 4 feet and took one step at time getting out of there, causing alot of destruction.

"Oops."

He said leaving the area and hid in the trees.

"Right, Stay calm, surely no one noticed, just find a place to hide, until i somehow shrink, I'll worry about finding the emerald later."

He said looking around for a place to hide while laying low and without noticing, Ruby and the Rest widened their eyes.

"Is that how you felt when you found out about me?"

Ruby asked Chelsea.

"Oh yeah."

"We found it! We found the other Kraken."

"But that couldn't be a Kraken, he looks so weird."

"Kraken? You mean your not here for a Handsome looking Dog?"

Chelsea asked.

"What?"

Ruby and Brill both looked at each other.

"Earlier, I saw a Blue looking dog with gloves and shoes with super speed and followed it here."

"Hmm, I think that Kraken is the Dog person your looking for."

Brill said as Nerissa widened her eyes in realization.

"Ok, we're all after the same thing, so how about this, you help us out and I'll explain to lighthouse everything if he finds out your little trick, so... Truce?"

Ruby said holding out her hand.

"...For now."

Chelsea held out her and snd they shook on it, and the group headed out following this new creature.
