A/N: I don't want to write for this story and write RWBY stuff anymore. This is one of two stories I came to despise. In my eyes, this story is not good and a failure. As for why I don't want to write RWBY stuff anymore. I just don't enjoy RWBY anymore. Below is an AU I thought of writing but stopped because I feel it's not good enough and I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas.
Daughters of the Rose
Cinder is standing in front of a large bulletin board. She is wearing her combat outfit instead. Cinder is wearing a black and white sports bra, black pants tied with a white belt, black fingerless gloves, and brown knee-high boots with high heels. Cinder is wearing a blue leather jacket with a red interior. Pinned on the left side of the jacket is a golden pendant in the shape of a lion's head.
Cinder grew out her hair. It reaches past her back, and some of her bangs cover her left eye. She doesn't mind, however.
The latest addition to her outfit is the white cloak of Summer Rose, her mother. That's not the only thing she has of Summer's. Cinder has Summer's weapon too, the Sundered Rose.
"So many to choose from," Cinder sighs. She does know what kind of mission she wants. Solo missions. Right now, Cinder doesn't want to work with others. She wants to be alone right now. Cinder sighs again and rubs her forehead.
Someone puts a hand on her shoulder. Cinder looks up and sees it's someone she knows, "Uncle Qrow? What are you doing here?"
"Just chucking up on you. How are you feeling, kid?" Qrow asked with a small smile.
Cinder sighs, "I don't know. You know what day is today,"
"I know, kid. Just know your mom is proud of you," Qrow said.
Cinder smiles softly, "I know, she told me that every chance she got,"
"Here," Qrow says and holds out a music player with headphones, "You forgot on the day you left,"
"Thanks, uncle," Cinder said and took the music player, "I did leave kinda in a rush,"
"Didn't want to tell your old man. That you still want to be a huntress?" Qrow asked.
Cinder nods, "I know where he's coming from, but I want to fulfill the dream Mom and I made. I can't give it up! I feel bad stealing Mom's weapon, but Dad was planning to destroy it!."
"I know," Qrow nods.
Cinder frowns, "I feel bad leaving Yang behind and having her look after Ruby. She was a kid. She should be doing what kids do. Not filling a role mom left behind. You saw the state Dad is in. He can't look after Yang and Ruby,"
"He's shut down," Qrow said sadly. "At least you let Yang and Ruby see you off and keep in touch. Things are better now, so don't worry about it,"
"Thanks," Cinder smiles. She then turns her gaze back to the board. "I still can't choose," Cinder sighs.
"Why not take your bike for a spin," Qrow suggested.
Cinder thinks for a moment, "Yeah! Driving good old Leo always helps clear my head,"
"You named your bike Leo?" Qrow smiles and raises an eyebrow.
"Well, my bike does have an image of a lion on it, so why not?" Cinder shrugs.
Qrow chuckles and ruffles Cinder's hair, "Fair enough, kid,"
Cinder laughs and playfully smacks Qrow's hand away, "Hey! Watch the mane!"
"Just be careful out there, Cinder. Attacks on Faunus have been on the rise lately," Qrow said.
Cinder winks and holds out a fist, "Did you forget you old Qrow? I'm pretty strong!"
Qrow laughs and fist bumps Cinder, "That you are. People need to learn to not mess with a lion,"
After parting ways with Qrow, Cinder drives down the dirt road on her motorcycle. Her bike is old-school and pretty loud. Cinder likes how loud her bike is. She even loves how she could sit upright with it.
Cinder drove for a while until she suddenly stopped. "Something's wrong," Cinder said out loud and sniffed the air. She gets off her bike and flips a switch on it. Cinder sees nothing on the dirt road. Just a wooden broken fence, grass, trees and a cloudy sky. Putting her hand on her axe, Cinder walks a few steps forward.
Suddenly, Cinder lifts her arms. She blocks a sickle with her axe and a robotic leg with her other arm. Two young teens materialized. A boy and girl, and from the look of their clothes, they appeared to be off the streets.
The gray-haired boy gasped, "How the hell?! Emerald! I thought you said we could get the jump on her!"
Cinder looks at the green-haired girl, "So your name is Emerald,"
Emerald glares at the boy, "Shut it, Mercury!"
"So, what do I owe the honour?" Cinder asked and shoved Emerald and Mercury.
Cinder's attackers regain their footing. "You were just at the wrong place at the wrong time," Mercury said.
"You know you're talking to a Vytal festival champion, right?" Cinder smiles and casually puts her axe on her shoulder.
"Everyone knows those fights are just rigged!" Mercury shouts and runs at Cinder.
"NO! WAIT!" Emerald shouts and reaches out to Mercury.
Mercury sends a flurry of kicks at Cinder, but she easily dodges them. "Why are you just dodging!? Too scared to fight back?!" Mercury shouts.
Cinder didn't respond to him, only yawns. That makes Mercury mad. He aims a kick at Cinder's head. His foot stops because he is suddenly hit in the chest by Cinder's blade. He didn't even see her swing her axe! Not only that. His Aura received a large amount of damage and broke.
Cinder dashes at Mercury at blinding speeds and pouches him in the face. Knocking him out cold. "And there was one," Cinder said and looked at Emerald, who was sweating bullets. "I-I know how strong you are, but I won't run!" Emerald said. Her hands are shaking so much that she's having difficulty holding her weapon.
"This is not bravery, kid. This is stupidity. You have no chance against me. Walk away," Cinder firmly said.
"I…I CAN'T!" Emerald shouts and runs at Cinder.
Cinder grips her axe with both hands, closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She swings not at Emerald but the weapons in her hand. Emerald is shocked to see her weapons get totally destroyed. Cinder teleports behind Emerald and elbows her on the back of her head.
"That takes care of th-GHA!" Cinder grunts in pain. She drops her weapon, then falls to one knee and holds her head, "Why does my head have to hurt now!" a dark aura comes out of Cinder, and her eyes rapidly flash red. The pain grew, and Cinder fell onto her back. She can't move which is bad because she's out in the open.
She can hear footsteps quickly approach her, so Cinder tries to reach for her weapon. Cinder relaxes when it is her uncle. "Your Aura is acting up!" Qrow said with a worried tone.
"It will pass now that you're here," Cinder said and tried to smile. She holds Qrow's hand and takes steady breaths. After a while, Cinder's dark aura faded and her eyes stopped flashing red.
"Damn that Dust company!" Qrow growls.
"Took the words out of my mouth," Cinder said and got up. She spots a huntress on the ground. "So that who's blood I smelled,"
"Amber!" Qrow gasped. He rushes to the huntress' side and checks on her, "Good, she's still alive but barely,"
"You know her?" Cinder asked.
Qrow nods, "Yeah, she's a special huntress," he pulls out his scroll and sends a message.
"I find it suspicious that these two rookies took this huntress down," Cinder said, turning her axe into rifle mode.
"I got careless," Amber said weakly.
"Didn't they teach us to not do that?" Cinder asked.
"They did, but I let the power get to my head," Amber said.
"Power?" Cinder asked with a raised eyebrow.
Before Amber can explain, Qrow says, "We need to get you to the hospital. Cinder, your bike is fast, so please take her to a nearby huntsman hideout
