A.N: Well... it's been five years... five long years since I last updated this story... but nobody needs to know that, so keep it a secret no will ya! hey everyone it's ultarmanblack147 and what can i say, the mood finilly striked me again to make another update on this swag story. you know what they say, it's time to get back on the metaphoretical, equatorial many-legged horse, and u aslo know what they say... the more things Chang, the more they stey tghe same... ON TO CHAPTER !%!
Since oue base was burned down, we didn't have anywhere to go… andyone to turn to… except…
"Hmmm I don't know Kolfax" said Annah. That's right, the one person who we knew I could turn to was Annah in a time like this.
"Please Annah, you have to have something that can help us" I said.
"Hmmm I don't know Kolfax" said Annah. She put her finger to her chin. "I may know a guy that knows a guy and can call in a couple favors."
"All we need is a new place to regroup. A place that we can plan, to strike back at Grima Corp for everything they've donbe."
"Okay Kolfax, I think I have exactly what you need…"
KOLFAC POV
Well, it didn't come cheap, we had to sell Annah everything we had except for the close on our very backs to affort this, but here we all stood in front of a run down apartment in a bad part of town… no character.
"Is this it" said Kolfax Jr.
"This is it" said Jak.
Our mood was at a All Time Low, lower than the sun whose sun beams barely peeked through the many big buildings onto are faces; and the digital dust and noise in the atmosphere made it a bright white ball when we all remember that it used to be a nice fun orange color.
"Come on guys, we can make it work!" cried Mizu, "we just have to believe in ourselves. Let's see the positives in everything, even this."
"Yeah… Mizu's right. Come on" I said "it can't be worse on the inside than on the outside."
Well I don't know why in fact I said that even out of anything at all, because it was TERIIBLE on the inside! The apartment was literally just one room with one big mattress that Annah bought for us all to sleep on. We can't fight back against Grima like this! But it was getting late and maybe if we slept we would all be Well Rested the next morning…
Okay kiddos, you know this old man needs his beauty sleep" said Old Kolfax. "Hasta La Mañaña!" he said it with an impressive accent.
It took us a while to figure out the sleeping arrangements but when we finally figured it out; on one end was Jac, then Baxxter, then Mizu and Me, then Chrom, then Kolfax Jr, and finally Old Kolfax on the end since he snored like a old man and I wanted to get as far away from that as i could. And again I should mention that we didn't even have a bedframe or anything, this was just one BIG mattress that spanned the whole room. Baxxter had the bright idea to store the guns under the bed, yeah great idea IDIOT, now we have a lumpy bed AND our flank would be totally defenseless while we slept. We finally all squeezed onto the mattress and turned out the light.
"Good night guys" said Jac.
"Good night Jac" said Mizu.
"Good night Mizu" said Kolfax Jr.
"Good night" responded Mizu.
"Good night sport" said Old Kolfax.
"Good night me" I sarcasticly chuckled darkly at my older self.
"Good night Kolfax and Old Kolfax" said Baxxter with an even dryer laugh.
"Good night Baxxter" said Chrom.
"Good night Chrim" said Jac.
"Good night Jac" said Mizu.
And with that we all closed our eyes and tried to sleep… TRIED being the main word of that sentence. I attempted to ignore all the pain and sadness around me and still in my and our hearts from the great losses we experienced, resetting us back to zeros, undoing everything that we had done in our fight for justice against the forces ov evil… I think Chrom fell asleep first because he rolled to the side and kicked me in his sleep… oww… and then I heard Old Kolfax's loud snoring of course… and then, I felt someone's arm across my chest?
"Mizu, can you move your arm please?" I asked.
"That's not me Kolfax, I thought it was your arm" she said.
"What?"
"Is your arm not across me?"
"No, that's not my - Baxxter?"
"Yeah K-bro?"
"Dude, stop draping your arm across us."
"Bro I swear I'm not doing that, I thought it was your arm."
"What? Then if someone's got their arm across you, and Mizu, AND me… Jac!?"
"Hmm?"
"Is that your arm?"
"Oh, sorry guys."
I felt Jac's arm move off of my chest, but by this point I had reached my absolute limit.
"GOD DAMNIT I CAN"T TAKE THIS ANYMORE" I YELLED FURIOUSILY I got up and I stormed out of the room, out of the apartment, and back into the midnight air.

Outside parked in the middle of the street was the one thing I was able to keep, well aside from my laser falshcion and my hi-tech googles; ,y hoverbike. I daped my leg over the side and started it; with the revving of the engines I could hear my friends all running to catch up with me, but that was the last think on my mind, and with a turn of the ignition I was off.
I rode in silence under the cyber noen billboards and big lights of Midnight City (a/n I don'mt think I named the city before but sfter I watcxhed some gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 I thought Night City was a pretty cool name for the city but I didn't just want to steal it so of course I now I named thisd city to MIDNIGHT CITY) down the massive highway that cut through it like a artery cutting through a persons veins. I tapped my goggles and switched them to corneatic mode, which interfaced directly with my eyes to remove some of the glare. I went with the flow; and that kind of cleared my head if you kjnow what I mean. I guess life IS a highway after all; sometimes you're in a total jam, going now here fast; sometimes you're switching lanes at maximum speed with nothing stopping you; and sometimes you're stuck behind a grandma going half the speed limit. MOVE IT GRANDMA!
But anyways, after ridimng through the night air, I reached my special spot that only Mizu and I knew about, it's where I go when I need to fresh my mind. It's a cliff overlooking the water-blue ocean that the city is based next to; an endless sea that streetches out over the horizon with the promise of the future inside of it, clashing against the toxic smog of selfish human senselessness that pores from the pipes and harbors into the sea, just as careless as a whisp of a politician's arm ordering the desetruction of all we hold dear… I closed my eyes and breathed it in, turning off my bike to hear only the waves crashing and the cyber-gulls nearby who had managed to adapt to this digital world.
But then, a few minutes later, I heard another car driving up behind me. It stopped, and a familiar voice got out of the back seat.
"Kolfax!" shouted Mizu.
I guess she had gotten a Uber and not a moment too soon. She ran up to me and we huged. Her body agaisnt mine was a nice shot of heat in this cold air and I felt so stupid that I had just run away from my problems without considering who I was leaving behind. She pulled back: I reached my hands out and held Mizu's many soft fingers.
"Kolfax," she said, "you can't just run away from your problems without considering who you was leaving behind."
"I know, Mizu, and I promise I will never do it again."
Then another car pulled up as well, and the rest of the gang pilled out of the backseat. It was pretty hilarious watching haw Baxxter always ends up at the bottom of the pile; that's just his luck if you know him personally like I do! Then everyone walked up to Mizu and me.
"Oof… groan… Kolfax man don't scare us like that" he said.
"Haha," I laughed "what would I do without you guys."
"Hey man remember Kolfax you're not alone" said Kolfax Jr,
"Right, you have all of us to help you out." said Jac.
"Yeah…" I said tentively "but what are we going to do about Grima?"
"Remember, Kolfax, that tomorrow is always a new day" said Old Kolfax.
"And," added Baxxsdter "if it's any consolation, the sun will be up in a few hours!"
"HAHAHAHA" everyone laughed at the very funny joke.
"Okay guys, bring it in" I said and we all went for one big hi-five! Even Chrom.
