The elder shinobi looked at the two with confused expressions. "You want to have her?" Hiruzen asked. Kushina nodded vigorously while Minato only smiled.

"We do. We love her. We don't want her to get attacked by that man ever again and we've grown attached ok!" Kushina said adamantly while Minato just nodded.

"We talked about it last night. We said if we couldn't find her parents then we'd try to adopt her." Minato said while Kushina nodded vigorously.

"Mhm, and if she's related to us then we should keep her, right?"

Tsunade was very confused as to her students' behavior. "Wait a minute, kid. You actually want to have her?"

"Yes."

Hiruzen looked to Tsunade and smiled. "Well I can't see why not. If it is true she is related to you then really we would probably have to give her to you. But I will say that we do need to know how this is even possible. And I'm very certain that man knows."

Minato nodded as his face became serious. "I agree. He knows more than we do and he may be the key to all of this."

"Hmm, you're right. Honestly I would have asked if you would watch her until this was all sorted out but it seems you've already made up your mind. I think for now you should keep quiet for a little while longer before we make it official. Hopefully we can find that man by then. Until then you should go back home while me and Tsunade do our parts."

The two nodded as they said their goodbyes. Tsunade stayed in the office as she saw the three grad out. "Something about this doesn't feel right."

Hiruzen nodded. "I agree. But for now we can only do our parts and see where it goes."

"But where is this all going to go?"

"I don't know my student. I don't know."

Kushina and Minato made it back home as Kushina was jumping with joy as she held Naru in her arms.

"Ohhhhh, I can't believe it! She's ours! She's ours!" Minato tried his best to calm down his over enthusiastic girlfriend. Soon Naru woke up as she looked at Kushina who held her with a bright smile.

"Hey look who's awake. You feeling better?" Naru just looked at Kushina confused as she noticed they were now back at home. Rubbing her eyes Naru wanted to be put down as Kushina obliged. Standing up, Naru looked around and walked over to Minato, grabbing his pant leg. Both adults were very confused at the girl's behavior as they watched her.

"What's the matter?" Minato asked as Naru looked up at him, almost about to cry. She placed her thumb in her mouth as Minato knew what she wanted.

"Oh, hey do you know where her pacifier is?" He asked Kushina who thought for a moment.

"Ummm, oh that's right I put it in my pocket when I was making lunch for us." reaching into her pocket, Kushina pulled out said pacifier as she crouched down and showed it to Naru. "Hey you want this?"

Naru looked at Kushina and ran to her, grabbing the pacifier and placing it in her mouth now much happier. "Don't know why you thought he had it." Naru only giggled as she ran around the living room and grabbed some toys on the ground. The two looked at her as they smiled, happy to see she was much happier than before.

"You think we can do this?" Minato asked.

Kushina looked at him confused. "Huh?"

"Taking care of her. I mean we aren't exactly parent material. We aren't even married or anything so how can we take care of her?"

Kushina smiled at him. "Because we're the best. Sure we'll mess up sometimes but come on. Have you met us? We got this. So don't worry about it. And if you have my back then I'll have yours."

Minato smiled as Kushina rested her head on his shoulder, still watching Naru as she did so. "Yeah, maybe you're right."

"I know I'm right."
