Ah, three years goes by fast. Whoops. That being said, these three years have been me working as a doctor in a bunch of hospitals during a pandemic… so not your usual three years, either way, sorry for the extended break for this story.

One thing I will say though, is I have been updating other stories and have made a few other changes. While I haven't been updating this story, I've been updating a lot of my other stories and now have a backlog of 30+ chapters on my pat reon, including the next six chapters for my last updated Naruto story NSUU, as well as a few others across DxD, Bleach, DBZ, Pokémon and Fairy Tail archives and a NEW Danmachi fic I am posting there exclusively for free until fanfiction gets itself back to a stable base.

The other thing I've done is set up a discord for easier discussion with other writers and readers
discord. gg/ mgAZ9GGuFG.

There is also another discord worth joining for more banter with a lot more writers and readers discord. gg/ veQrzjgNYh.

In terms of refreshing your memory for what has happened so far. Chapter 34 already has a summary from everything prior to that.
Main plot points to be aware of since that summary are:
Naruto reuniting Kyuubi with Sora's chakra to form a full Kyuubi again.
Pein attacking the Leaf and being defeated by Naruto.
Danzo being revealed as alive and joining the Akatsuki, with the plan to extract the tailed beast chakra from previous hosts with Edo Tensei.
Naruto becoming the Sixth Hokage.
Naruto revealing the Jinchuuriki are all working with him at the Five Kage Summit.
Naruto beating Sasuke down for trying to kill the Tsuchikage and the Raikage.
The Raikage refusing the alliance, but everyone else forming one, including the Cloud Jinchuuriki, who aren't going back to Cloud.

Now, perhaps the MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS NOTE. I reread and proofread the entire story again. Fixed up most errors and fleshed out some scenes, but honestly, the story was kind of boring until chapter 21… so thank you for everyone who stuck through it.
That being said, I never want to have to proofread the story again since it took almost a week. For this reason, I am going to FINISH this story by the end of next year.
Since I have a 30+ chapter backlog (see above), I am only going to be writing for this story from now on going forward until it is finished, since I have enough updates across other archives so I can keep updating them while writing for this story, without people thinking they have been abandoned. I'll keep working on my Danmachi story for a bit of fun, but this is my primary focus.
The only thing that can make me switch from this story at this point is my highest pat reon tier which means you can choose the next chapter I work on to be completed within 4 weeks from any story (minimum 5K words), otherwise, I am basically only writing for TTONU until it is done. I honestly don't even think there is much left frankly, it is really just the ramp up to the war, the actual war, and then the epilogue, so we are almost in the home stretch now. That being said, I am also studying for my specialist exams, so I may stop writing for a period of time around my two exams, but otherwise, this is getting all of my attention.

Also, guest reviewer from September 19, thank you. I was a bit nervous about coming back to this story again, but your review gave me the push I needed to continue on, so everyone can thank you for this update happening.

Now, time to finish this thing!
SSJ3 Kyuubi Gohan.

Naruto would tell Kakashi and Jiraiya about his time in Mist to review any other hints he had missed about his time with Mei, while recalling his experience of the war and the drawback of his Sage Mode. Chojuro would arrive and break up the fourth retelling, providing Naruto some advice from Ao, in order to help Naruto set the location of his date with Mei. Elsewhere, Akatsuki would begin the process of extracting the chakra from all of the previous tailed beast hosts simultaneously, estimating the process would take two weeks. The current Jinchuuriki would make their own plans, with Bee and Yugito refusing to return to Cloud, with Bee deciding to relocate to the Leaf Village, while Yugito would relocate to the Sand Village. Back at the Leaf, Tayuya, Haku, Fuka, Kimimaro, and the newly retrieved Karin and Jugo, would find themselves laying low in Naruto's apartment, following the assassination of the previous Leaf Elders. The ninja of Team Ten, Nine, and Eight, would arrive at Naruto's apartment with Sai, wanting to discuss their next actions with the group in Naruto's apartment, now that Naruto had become Hokage. Naruto and Mei would start their date, with Naruto discussing his accidental harem formation and his missing of many signals from Mei.

Chapter 44 – Past and Future

Despite the odd circumstances which triggered their date, both Naruto and Mei were enjoying their time together.

'So you're telling me being a loudmouth won you over in the end?' Asked Naruto in amusement.

'Well, I could already tell you didn't mind a little bit of fun every now and again, but you always seemed too serious. I will admit though, I do have a weakness for the cool and quiet type, like the Kazekage for instance, but, beyond that, I do like open affection very much.' Admitted Mei.

'Well that's good to hear, I'm a bit worried about Gaara to be honest… he had a rougher time than me growing up. I'm not sure he would even know what to do with a girl… I also wonder if they would even be able to get past his sand…' Said Naruto, thinking aloud.

'I think it is sweet that the two of you are friends and now both Kage as well… I never thought about it, but Yagura must have been almost a role model for the two of you.' Said Mei, causing Naruto to sigh.

'Yeah, I don't know if you remember, but the reason I came to Mist in the first place was to meet Yagura, both because he was a Jinchuuriki and also because he was a Kage and a Jinchuuriki.' Admitted Naruto, before sighing deeply.

'It sounds quite tough, being a Jinchuuriki. I can only imagine it is similar to having a bloodline… but considering everything with Akatsuki and what's happened in the past… I can't really say they are the same. Jinchuuriki don't have the option to find comfort with other Jinchuuriki like a bloodline wielder could… well, at least before you came along.' Said Mei with a smile.

'Yeah… what the Raikage… how he acted, not even knowing Yugito had been attacked, but seeing how he reacted to Bee's apparent kidnapping… I can't imagine how Yugito must have felt… not even worth notice… and that's just how it goes a lot of the time, no matter how hard we try… but yeah, to come back to where we started to get off track, I do respect what Yagura managed to do. He was the first one and it is just horrible luck that Akatsuki controlled him for so long, but I guess that is what we are to most people. Weapons.' Said Naruto, clenching his left fist which was resting on the table.

Mei smiled and reached towards his clenched fist, placing her hand over his.

'I can't say that you aren't a weapon, since in the grand scheme of things, all of us are weapons really, even the Kage. That being said, we are not only weapons. Like you said, we are also people with feelings, dreams, hopes for the future… it isn't all good, but it isn't all bad either.' Said Mei.

'I know, it just really feels like Jinchuuriki are the bottom dwellers of the shinobi world. If you ignore the Jinchuuriki that managed to become Kage… Bee and Roshi probably have the most respect and even then, they are basically under lock and key most of the time. I try not to think about it too much, but really, we are in a prison just as much as the tailed beasts are.' Said Naruto, relaxing his fist and turning his hand so Mei's palm rested in his.

'You're bringing me down here, Naruto. If you are always going to be the hero, don't you have to stay optimistic?' Teased Mei half-heartedly.

'Sorry. This probably isn't what you were hoping for in a date.' Apologised Naruto, making to withdraw his hand, only for Mei to grab on to his hand and not let him pull away.

'Naruto, I've been waiting months to spend time with you, the real you, the one that doesn't need to hide how he feels. If you have concerns or worries, tell me about them.' Requested Mei with an inviting look.

'Well, we should at least finish up here first. I would try to make a joke about it, but my heart isn't in it right now, should we head back to my place or yours for the rest of my sob story?' Said Naruto with a small smile.

'Considering who might be in your room, why don't we go to mine?' Suggested Mei, getting a laugh from Naruto.

'Yeah, you'd probably give Jiraiya a heart attack if he sees you up close.' Commented Naruto, as the pair stood up, Naruto calling the waiter over to pay the bill.

'I also want to tease you about that, but maybe another time.' Said Mei in amusement.

'Don't worry, I almost had a heart attack the first time I saw you too, you are very beautiful after all.' Said Naruto with a smile, causing Mei to smile back.

'Oh, I like this other side of you. Did it take you needing to form a harem to realise you could be charming?' Asked Mei, mirth in her expression as she covered her mouth with her hand, giggling when she saw Naruto hang his head.

'In the first instance, I still don't think I was being charming there, I was just being honest… and frankly… yeah, maybe it did take the harem to make me realise that I have some kind of way with women that I never realised. Really funny when I think about how awkward I was at the start… but then again, there were other reasons too.' Sighed Naruto, handing a stack of Ryo to the waiter, before he and Mei left the establishment.

'Well, since we are going to get into some emotional stuff soon, have you come to terms with your past now?' Asked Mei, as she led the pensive boy to her lodgings.

'Honestly, I think I have, now it is the future that scares me.' Admitted Naruto, causing Mei to hum.

The pair reached Mei's room quickly with her opening the door and leading Naruto in, noting Ao and Chojuro were not present. Mei directed Naruto to the common area which had quite a few luxurious looking couches. Naruto sat in the middle of a three-seater, before Mei went to make some tea.

'I have to say, the fact that I can make tea so easily is a nice ability.' Said Mei, returning with two cups of green tea.

'Yeah, maybe you should have used that as a selling point to make people like bloodlines, but I guess some people would still be jealous either way.' Said Naruto with a weak laugh, knowing that the bloodlines were not the real problem.

Mei sat beside Naruto on the three-seater as she placed his cup in front of him.

'So if it is not the past that bothers you anymore, why is the future your worry now?' Asked Mei.

'Well, if I'm being honest, I wasn't sure I was going to have a future… now though, I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel… and that's what makes it scary. I never had anything to lose before. Now I do… and I did lose it for a moment… it almost broke me too. If it wasn't for the fox, I might not even be here right now, and the world may even be in flames.' Said Naruto tiredly, taking a small sip of the scalding drink.

'Do you want to talk about it?' Asked Mei quietly.

'I do, but also I don't.' Replied Naruto.

'Maybe if I tell you what I was thinking once upon a time, it will help give you some perspective.' Offered Mei, getting Naruto to turn his head slightly so he could see her better.

'Growing up in what was once the Bloody Mist and having two bloodlines, I was never able to think of the future. My daily thoughts were a mix of fear, anger, and determination. I was scared of possibly being found out as a bloodline holder one day. I was angry that I needed to hide myself away and hold back what was essentially a part of who I am for no good reason, where the punishment of being found out would be death. Lastly, I was determined to make sure that the next generation would not have to deal with the same issues I had to… I could never imagine having children in the Bloody Mist, let alone if anyone would want to have children with me. A husband was something I could only dream of… not simply the act of being married, but to find someone who would accept me. When you spend most of your life being told you are a freak of nature or a perversion of humanity… you come to find acceptance that much more desirable. A husband is someone who has accepted me as who I am forever, that is why it is my desire… and I never thought I would be able to find someone like that… at least not until I met a blonde teenager who would openly yell at a stranger in a ramen stand in a foreign village purely for my sake.' Said Mei, causing a small pearl of laughter to come from Naruto.

'I can't believe you are still single frankly. Forget Jiraiya or me, I can't believe no one else in Mist ever tried to approach you.' Said Naruto.

'You say that because someone like you or Jiraiya would not be afraid of someone like me. Before I was Mizukage, I was the leader of the rebels. I'm actually supposed to be quite a scary person you know.' Laughed Mei.

'Oh don't get me wrong, you can be scary, but you can also be funny, inspiring… compassionate.' Said Naruto, becoming quieter as he continued.

'Well then, why not take advantage of my compassion? Please tell me what is bothering you, Naruto. I only want to help carry some of your burden with you. You might have been alone before, but you aren't any more. You have all the Jinchuuriki on your side, the support of most of the Kage, and let's not forget your accidental harem after all.' Said Mei softly, getting a small smile from Naruto.

'And so are you part of the harem, or the group of Kage?' Asked Naruto teasingly.

'I can be both.' Countered Mei, causing Naruto to laugh again.

'Okay… since you did open up, it'd be rude of me not to at least tell you what's got me thinking.' Sighed Naruto.

'Considering it all just happened a few days ago, I'm not sure if you've heard all the details. I'm guessing everyone knows now at least that Pein attacked and flattened the Leaf. Yes, I beat him in the end, but I almost didn't… and that is because I did have hope. Even before I knew about the… accidental harem… I did have two girls who I knew liked me and the feeling was mutual. Unfortunately for me though, others knew of this as well… I almost lost myself within the rage of the Kyuubi and it wasn't even the Kyuubi's fault, since we have been working together since after things in Mist were settled… Pein though, in order to beat me, he decided to hit me in a place I didn't think could be attacked…' Said Naruto, placing his hand over his chest.

Mei looked at him worriedly, placing her hand on his shoulder, rubbing it gently and giving him a moment before he continued on.

'What Pein did was find those two… and he killed them both in front of me while I watched.' Said Naruto, his eyes wide open as his eyes prickled, but he didn't blink.

'After I beat him… he brought them back, they are alive now… but when I asked why they were targeted… when they told me it was because they were close to me and it was to demoralise me, I felt sick to my stomach. If I had never showed any affection or desire, neither of them would have been killed. I was being selfish. So, my response was to hide from them in the aftermath. I know that was cowardly, but for them, they died and they were back minutes later… for me… when they died, I felt my entire future go up in flames… it almost broke me and it was only thanks to the Kyuubi that I didn't lose my mind completely… but then when they were back… how do I just go back to how things were before? They were killed because of me, isn't it selfish to still pursue them? At the same time, they are also pursuing me, so isn't it unfair to decide singlehandedly that this is a bad idea… I'm still scared, but I understand that I can't live in fear… but I also can't go back to being alone again. Having nothing is hard, but having something which is then taken away from you… it's excruciating.' Said Naruto, resting his head on his hand, running his hand through his hair for minute, before gripping it in frustration.

'So that's why I'm worried. I've seen the worst possible future happen to me just a short while ago and I couldn't do anything to stop it, even with how strong I am supposed to be.' Finished Naruto.

Mei stood up, placing her cup of tea down, before holding her hand out to Naruto.

'Come with me.' Said Mei firmly.

Naruto looked at the hand in confusion, not knowing where Mei was going with this, but placed his hand in hers, letting her lead him away. Mei took him to her room and took her robe off, before removing Naruto's robe and hanging them both up. Mei then took off her sandals and motioned for Naruto to do the same, before moving them over to the bed. Mei placed Naruto on the bed, before lying down next to him and bringing his head to her chest, wrapping her hands around his head.

'When the world is cruel to you, you need to remember your goals and dreams, but also, you need to take the time to process what has happened. That's why, for now, don't think of the future, don't think of what you need to do, don't even think of what you want to do. Right now, just think of what has happened and let yourself feel how you truly feel.' Said Mei.

Mei stayed in her position without moving for some time, even as she felt the top of her dress getting wet, all she did was hold Naruto firmly, not saying anything, simply being there for him as he grieved. Grieved for the loss that was undone on paper, but not yet in his heart.

Samui was usually cool and collected in all situations. That being said, seeing the Raikage had returned only hours after she and her team arrived was enough to make her frown. Furthermore, the fact that Bee and Yugito were not with him was even more concerning. From what Naruto had told her, both of them were safe and considering what someone like Naruto would do at the meeting, it would have made sense that they would have returned with the Raikage and his guards. The fact that they were back and the Jinchuuriki were not indicated that something unfavourable had happened, as there is no way A would have just let things go. That being said, there is also no way Naruto would have backed down, as he was fiercely protective over all the Jinchuuriki.

'Oh no, Lord Raikage is back early. If Lord Raikage is back early then that means they didn't speak for very long. Considering the people who were in the meeting this should have been a meeting lasting for at least one day, the fact that it is over means either a decision was reached very quickly, or Cloud left early. If Cloud left early and the other four villages are still there and form an alliance, then they might join together to wipe us out.' Said Omoi, before Karui interjected.

'As if anyone could just wipe us out like that!' Shouted Karui, sharing the Raikage's sentiments.

Samui felt a dull ache developing in her midsection though and it had nothing to do with her bust. Omoi's derailed thoughts, while usually off base, might actually be closer to the truth right now and it worried Samui. It did not make sense for the Raikage to be back so soon, especially since he had been the one to call the summit in the first place.

'What do you think is going on then?' Asked Omoi, once Karui had settled down.

'I think things are not cool.' Said Samui, surprising the two.

'What, think your boyfriend pissed off Lord Raikage?' Joked Karui.

'Unfortunately, I think he may have.' Said Samui, catching the other two off guard.

'So wait, he is your boyfriend for real? I thought you were just saying that because of… well you know.' Stammered Karui.

'More importantly, do you think something upset Lord Raikage?' Asked Omoi.

'I think so. We should go and see if Darui knows what happened.' Suggested Samui.

'But if the Hokage upset Lord Raikage, should we really get in the middle of things?' Asked Omoi.

'Our Sensei is still missing; we have a right to at least know what happened.' Pointed out Samui coolly.

The other two followed Samui as she made her way to the Raikage's office. Making their way up the stairs, the group noted Mabui was staring at the Raikage's door with a frown. A few moments later, Darui and C exited. C quickly left to complete his next task, while Darui sighed, before walking over to the three.

'What's with those faces, don't be so dull?' Commented Darui.

'What happened at the meeting, and where are Bee and Yugito?' Asked Samui, causing Darui to sigh.

'So dull. They didn't want to come back.' Said Darui, causing the normally emotionless Samui to frown.

'That's not good.' Said Samui.

'Don't need to tell me that. Look, if you three need a hand with anything, let me know, but for now, just keep your heads down, things are going to get really dull soon.' Sighed Darui, before walking away.

'What does all of that mean?' Asked Karui.

'It means Omoi might not actually have been too far off before.' Said Samui, before massaging her neck and right shoulder as she walked away, leaving behind the two stunned Chunin.

When Naruto woke, he was somewhat disorientated, but felt very relaxed, feeling himself embraced in a comforting warmth. It took a minute, but Naruto suddenly recalled what had happened to land him in his current predicament.

'Did you sleep well?' Asked Mei, causing Naruto to tilt his head back and spot the woman.

'I did, best sleep I can remember having in a long time.' Admitted Naruto.

'It's not good to keep things bottled up inside. It will have to come out at some point and if it isn't controlled, it might become an explosion. For someone like you, that could be a big problem.' Laughed Mei.

'Well, at least you can still make jokes. I mean, technically we did just sleep with each other.' Laughed Naruto, causing Mei to smile.

'Well I'm glad to see your humour is also still intact.' Said Mei.

'Seriously though, thank you… I think I've been holding on to a lot more than I should have been, it's nice to get it off my chest.' Said Naruto.

'On that note, how did you find my chest, since you do seem to enjoy using it as a pillow?' Teased Mei.

'Oh it was the best pillow I've ever used, but probably because it is a part of such an amazing person.' Said Naruto, causing Mei to smile.

'Message received. Besides, if you are choosing flattery rather than teasing, I must have really helped more than I thought.' Said Mei, only for Naruto to shuffle up a bit so he was eye level with her.

'You really did, thanks Mei.' Said Naruto.

'And what about a reward, you could at least give me a kiss?' Pouted Mei.

'Is a kiss all you want?' Asked Naruto with a teasing whisper.

'Of course not, but we will have to get going soon. Don't tell me you think we can finish things quickly?' Retorted Mei in a faked tone of shock.

'Oh we wouldn't leave today if that was the case…' Chuckled Naruto.

'Then a kiss will be fine.' Said Mei, moving closer to Naruto.

'You won't burn me or scald me, will you?' Asked Naruto jokingly.

'Aren't I worth the risk?' Asked Mei with a wink.

Naruto leaned forward and pressed his lips to Mei, relishing in the soft sensation of her lips. Pulling back, Mei brought her fingers to her lips and wiped them teasingly.

'Definitely worth it.' Said Naruto, causing the Mizukage to laugh.

'Maybe I do like this harem of yours if it means you'll be a bit bolder. My next hint would not have been very Kage appropriate.' Said Mei, before sitting up, with Naruto doing the same.

'Well, we'll have plenty of time for me to be even bolder than this once everything settles down.' Said Naruto.

'Settles down? Should I start planning the wedding then?' Asked Mei jokingly.

'Sure, but you'll have to speak with the others first and only once this Akatsuki stuff is settled.' Said Naruto, stunning Mei.

'Are you joking?' Asked Mei.

'Nope.' Said Naruto, only for Mei to then push him down and straddle him, her hair forming a current between the two.

'You know, we could be a little bit late to leave.' Said Mei rubbing her finger on Naruto's chest, causing him to shiver.

'Like I said, if you don't let me leave, neither of us will make it out of here today.' Said Naruto, causing Mei to shiver.

'What if I don't want to leave then? Mist is so far from the Leaf.' Whined Mei, causing Naruto to chuckle and sit up, wrapping his arms around Mei's back, before he leaned up and planted another kiss on Mei's lips.

'I might actually have a solution for that if you get off my lap.' Said Naruto.

'What if I don't want to?' Asked Mei, causing Naruto to smile, before forming his signature hand seal as a clone popped into existence.

The clone walked over to Naruto's robe and unsealed something from one of his scroll's before returning with the object and the robe itself.

'I know it doesn't exactly count as a ring, but there are less than a dozen people I've given these out to and most of them are Jinchuuriki.' Said Naruto, as the clone held a three-pronged kunai out, offering it to Mei.

Mei reluctantly crawled off Naruto's lap and stood up.

'I was joking about the distance, but this would help. Are you sure you want to do this though; it is quite a risky thing for the Hokage to give such an important weapon away to the Mizukage when it could be easily manipulated against the Leaf?' Cautioned Mei.

'If anything, it is overdue. I know you're probably the one I have to worry about the least, but if you ever need me, I'll be there in an instant. Besides, this has nothing to do with being Hokage or Mizukage. This is just a boy giving a present to a girl that he likes.' Said Naruto, as he took the cloak from the clone and put it on.

'No, this is a man showing his intentions to the woman he intends to wed.' Corrected Mei, getting shrug from Mei.

'More or less.' Said Naruto, causing Mei to smile.

'Are you sure you don't want to be late, even just a little bit?' Asked Mei.

'Very tempting, but I've at least got to deal with the fallout from the meeting first. Why don't you give me a buzz in a week?' Said Naruto, before the clone transformed into a piece of paper, with the date for next week written on it, which Naruto handed to Mei.

'Just make sure to remind me. Besides, isn't it your turn to organise the date next time?' Asked Naruto.

'Of course, I will organise our third date, my future husband, but you better not have any meetings planned the next morning or I assure you, you will be late, very late in fact, if I have my say.' Said Mei, causing Naruto to smile.

'Then I should get going for now. I look forward to seeing you next time.' Said Naruto, before he disappeared in a flash of orange.

'Very, very late.' Muttered Mei in amusement, before getting ready herself.

'Is that a walk of shame I see?' Asked Jiraiya as Naruto returned.

'What do I have to be ashamed of?' Asked Naruto in confusion as he noticed Kakashi and Jiraiya were dressed and waiting for him to head off.

'You didn't come back to the room last night.' Said Kakashi.

'Of course not, I had a sleepover instead.' Said Naruto, only for Jiraiya to pick him up by his shoulders.

'You had sex with that total babe of the Mizukage a day after you realised you formed a harem! Who are you and where is Naruto?' Asked Jiraiya, shaking his leader.

'All I said was a sleepover. We just slept.' Said Naruto, shaking himself out of Jiraiya's grip and smoothing down his robe.

'Just sleep?' Asked Kakashi, seeing a glint in Naruto's eyes similar to the one he would get prior to a prank.

'Well, a few kisses too, but I think our next date won't be so tame from what Mei was hinting at. Oh, I kind of proposed too, so Mei will probably be planning the wedding with the rest of the harem at some point.' Said Naruto, causing Kakashi and Jiraiya to freeze as their jaws hit the ground.

'So that's why you've gotten stronger now, Naruto? Turned into a pervert like your Sannin Sensei?' Asked Sasuke, appearing from behind a frozen tree near the group.

Kakashi and Jiraiya instantly adopted serious expressions, prepared to step in if needed, but Naruto seemed relaxed.

'So, coming back with us then?' Asked Naruto.

'I know when I'm beat. Besides, with an alliance, can't real kill the Tsuchikage now. The Raikage on the other hand…' Said Sasuke, before giving a small laugh at Naruto's serious expression.

'Last time I try to joke.' Sighed Sasuke.

'Considering you just tried to do that yesterday, might be too soon to be joking about it at this stage.' Said Naruto firmly, to which Sasuke shrugged.

'Before that though… I might have done something bad that I should probably tell you about.' Said Sasuke.

'What did you do now?' Asked Naruto.

Sasuke didn't answer and walked into the frozen foliage, indicating for Naruto to follow him.

'Trust me, I'll be fine.' Said Naruto, waving off Jiraiya's protests.

Naruto followed Sasuke and the two were just in view, Sasuke largely hidden but Naruto out in the open. If Kakashi still had his Sharingan, he may have been able to read Naruto's lips, but it seemed he didn't need to, as Naruto's next words word screamed.

'You Idiot!' Shouted Naruto, slamming a fist on the top of Sasuke's head, surprising their observers.

The two walked back to the pair, with Naruto trembling in annoyance while Sasuke rubbed his head with a sour expression.

'So slight problem, but I think I'll need Tsunade to be awake before I go into things.' Said Naruto.

'What makes you say that?' Asked Jiraiya.

'Because this asshole has forced my hand and I need to discuss my plan with her, Hokage to Hokage. So, let's get going.' Sighed Naruto, before starting to walk off.

Jiraiya followed while Kakashi spared a moment to look at his student.

'Is it bad?' Asked Kakashi.

'Not as bad killing the Raikage and the Tsuchikage.' Said Sasuke, causing Kakashi to cover his eyes in disappointment.

'Where did I go wrong?' Lamented Kakashi, before following after Naruto, with Sasuke a step behind.

Fu was almost back home now, having decided to take her special scenic route and flying to Waterfall with her Jinchuuriki powers. Spying the village from the sky, something looked off to Fu. While it was true that she knew exactly where Waterfall was, finding it should not have been as easy as it was. The normally dense forest around the village was partially destroyed and most of the internal camouflage was also gone. Dropping down, Fu's eyes widened as she saw multiple black masses on the ground. Taking a quick look around, Fu noticed the extent of the destruction was beyond what she had initially thought. While some buildings had been spared, no people were. In fact, calling them people was generous, as most were either in pieces or charred messes, some more complete than others. Making her way through the village looking for survivors on the way, Fu went to the one place she thought would have been untouched. Making her way to the village's namesake, Fu was initially relieved when it was shown undisturbed but still pushed through, knowing that with the state of the village, no one would be able to stop her from what she was about to do anyway.

"It's gone…" Thought Fu in shock, seeing the pedestal which usually held the Hero Water, the greatest secret of the Hidden Waterfall Village, was empty.

Fu quickly ran outside and took to the air.

"Everyone has been killed and the only one who would be able to find the Hero Water without someone leading them to it would have to be a Waterfall ninja… and there is only one who person who could do both." Thought Fu, before flying towards the Sand as fast as she could.

And if you can't wait 2-3 months for the next update, it is also on my pat reon already for patrons.
