Hey guys it's me, Twin Stars here. And today we're going to have a look at what Atreus is up to in Remnant as a couple of days have passed for him, yes, the filler leading up to V1 is almost over, but it is time for Freyr to make an appearance in this chapter. But first, like I mentioned last time, we will also be introduced to someone from Greece, so I hope you're all excited cus' I certainly am.
Also I've been watching Ben 10 UAF again so that's been fun, and I've also been reading lots of fanfics for a while now. Anyway on with the story!
I do not own RWBY or God of War, they all belong to their respective creators. RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum may he rest in peace, and God of War is owned by Santa Monica Studio.
It was a beautiful Thursday for Vale, the sun was shining, people were bustling in the streets meeting up with friends, and there was hardly a cloud in sight. Speaking of meeting with friends, Freyr, a god of Vanaheim and brother to Freya was on his way to the island of Patch, where an old friend of his was staying at. Well, they weren't 'old' old friends but it has been a while since they last saw each other. Atreus was a good kid in the Vanir god's eyes and a wicked excellent shot second to his sister, and maybe Hildisvíni.
At the current moment, Freyr was flying across the sky with Ingrid in hand. The former rebellion leader knew that he could have taken a ferry or a Bullhead to get to Patch, but he just got his sword back from that one eyed prick so he wanted to take it for a spin for as much as he can. Plus it's a lot faster than any vehicle he's seen on Remnant.
Ever since he crashed into this foreign realm, Freyr has been amazed nonstop by this world's advancements, the booze was great too, though he and Brok had some reservations against a drink called 'vodka'. That was something that he would never get used to.
Plus, the new boss he became acquainted with, Ozpin, was something strange to say the least. The man reeked of a foreign magic unlike any he has ever known. It seemed quite familiar to a curse. A part of Freyr wanted to call him out about it but decided not to, the white haired man had a... a conspiratorial nature; he had something to hide as far as the Vanir native could tell, of course everyone has something to hide, not even his own sister knows about how he stole some of her sweet treats whenever she had some and she wasn't looking when they were kids...
Now that he about it, it was very mean of him to do... but he was still gonna keep doing it anyway when they see each other again.
But, yeah, there was something his boss wasn't telling him that was meant to stay hidden, be it good or bad, he didn't know. But Freyr wouldn't focus on that right now, he can just discuss it with the kid and get his thoughts on Oz.
And speaking of which, he arrived at the clearing where the log wooden house he was informed of was in.
The Vanir god went across the front porch and up the small steps to the front door giving it a good few knocks. Checking himself over to make sure he was presentable, Freyr had faith that the civilian/new combat attire he got for himself was great. Instead of his usual Vanir garb, he wore a green and brown leather vest with the rune of Vanaheim on the back, underneath was a mahogany long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He had dark green steel knuckled leather bracers to help cover up his old burn marks, even after all this time the former rebellion leader would still have nightmares of being burned alive, but covering up the old scars had always helped. And of course he still had his crescent bone necklace and beaded, tied up hair.
As for the lower half of his body, Freyr had beige trousers tucked into a pair of strapped brown leather boots that reached to his knees.
On one of the times they met, professor Goodwitch (which is a weird name for someone to have) had advised for the lord of second chances to change his armour and clothing to something that fitted in the modern era and walk among mortals so as to avoid suspicion of what he truly is. Freyr was against the idea at first, saying that he didn't have any problems if mortals found out about his godly nature, but the professor had stubbornly refused to let him be so abrasive of the importance of his identity. Going on to point out that if the wrong people caught wind of his true nature they would try to exploit the Vanir god for personal gains.
Freyr was no stranger when it came to being swindled or lied to about certain things, namely Odin stealing Ingrid from him, so he conceded to the blonde woman's advice and she gave him many articles of clothing for the former rebellion leader to pick out and make his own personal style. The process was going nowhere for Freyr and he would have given up right there if it weren't for the help of a second year student who was an apparent expert in fashion.
a Coco Adel if he his memory served. He was then pulled out from his ruminating when the door opened to reveal young girl with black and red themed clothes as well as black red tipped hair, not to mention the radiant silver eyes she had.
"Oh wow! You must be Mr. Freyr that Atreus has been talking about! It's great to finally meet you!" She greeted him warmly. She stretched out her hand to him for a handshake and the Vanir god smiled, kindly accepting the gesture. He never denied the fact that he loved people praising him for the amazing things he's accomplished or the many inspirations he's brought about, or just being loved in general.
"And it's great to meet you too, miss Ruby Rose, Oz told me that the kid was here and being taken care of by kind hearted family, I just had to drop everything to see him myself. And I hope he's mentioned only good things about me?" He raised a single brow at her, making the silver eyed girl squirm in place and let out a nervous laugh.
But then, the lord of second chances popped a grin on his face and gently hit her shoulder, "Ah, I'm just messin' with ya. No need to get all anxious with me, I know Atreus is a good kid to not talk smack about other people behind their backs." Ruby giggled at the small joke and finally brought Freyr inside to the living room.
He liked the look of the interior, lots of space, plenty of furniture.
And then he saw who he was looking for. On a couch next to a girl with beautiful voluminous blonde hair, the two of them holding Scrolls in their hands. Their thumbs were tapping on the screens in rapid movement. Must've been one of those fighting games that the mortal youth of this realm use for their entertainment.
Atreus then raised a clenched fist in victory, "Woohoo! I won again! This makes it, what? My fourth win? I'm on role!" He said, with a hint of smugness.
The girl next to the boy groaned in response and had a slight frown on her face, "Seriously? Rubes and I only taught you how to play this game two hours ago. How the hell do you keep winning? Are you using magic to cheat?" She asked, shooting an accusatory glare at the young god.
Atreus chuckled a little before responding, "Nope, I'm just doing what you told me to do. That, and I'm following my instincts. Completely not magic related."
"Ah ha! So you were using magic! You were just using your giant powers to look into the future." This got the young archer to let out an exhausted sigh and gave her a deadpanned look.
"I've said this before so I'll say it again; that's not how it works, I'm only half Jötun, and they mostly only come to me in dreams. If it did work like how you described, then I would have saved so many lives and stopped many catastrophes from happening."
"Eh, well if you did, then I probably wouldn't have gotten my sword back." Freyr said in a matter-of-fact way, with the young boy nodding in agreement.
Atreus' eyes then went wide and did a double take of what he heard.
"Freyr!" The champion of the Jötnar vaulted over the couch, rushing right over to his friend who was once thought dead. "It's so good to see you again! I'm so happy that you're alive and alright." The boy's smile reached across from ear to ear, his joy seemingly uncontainable. Brok had mentioned that Atreus was overjoyed to hear that both of his lost comrades had returned from the dead. And it was good to the boy this happy, and he was happy too, knowing his sacrifice helped make difference to the nine.
"And it is great to see you again too, kid. I missed ya, along with everyone else." The Vanir god gave the younger god a once over, the kid was lookin' not bad. He wore what appeared to be his own civilian clothes, a yellow hoodie with it's sleeves pulled up over the elbows and halfway zipped up over a blue T-shirt, dark grey jeans and red and white flattops. He then turned his attention to the long haired blonde girl that moved next to Atreus. And he had to be honest, this young lady was very beautiful and he had the urge to gift her his sword as an expression of love. But memories of Odin held the king of Alfheim back, that, and the laws of Remnant didn't allow under age kids to date older people.
"And you must be Yang Xiao Long, daughter of the man that found my good friend here. Freyr Njördson, Vanir god of Vanaheim and ruler of Alfheim, at your service." The little fool greeted with pride. He may obey the rules of this world, but he can still show off to lovely ladies can't he?
But, as if the universe wanted to embarrass him, the young archer had a smirk pointed at Freyr, "I don't think it would be a wise idea to be flirting with teenage girls if Freya were to find out, Freyr." The boy said, knowing that the Vanir goddess would chastise her brother for putting the moves on young mortal women.
The former rebellion leader groaned while Yang and Ruby both snickered at his expense.
Trying his best to forget about that moment, a thought came to his mind, "So, where's the parents? Did they go out or are they somewhere that I can't see them?"
"Oh, our dad had to go to work since it's still a school week." Ruby said, with a bright smile. But then it faltered and turned into a small frown as she looked at the floor, "...But our mom... i-isn't with us anymore." The silver eyed girl managed to get out, her sister held her hand in support.
Oh boy, he touched a sensitive spot, the Vanir god mentally cursed himself as he tried to remedy his mistake, "Ah, I'm sorry for your loss, didn't mean to dig up old wounds." He apologised, earning a smile from both girls.
"Thank you, lord Freyr, we've had a long time to mourn our mom so you have nothing to worry about." Ruby sniffed her nose to keep it from running and put on her brightest look, "So, since you're here, is there anything you wanted to do with us today?" Everyone could agree with the change of subject, but it did pose a great question. What should they do while Freyr was there?
"You've gotta be kidding me! There's no way this is your best armour on sale! It's practically useless!"
it was a bit of a slow day for Brok's shop, only garnering the attention of a few students. The store was situated in an office that wasn't too small for the master blacksmith to work in and it just so happened to be next door to the school forge for the trainees to work on weapon repairs and upgrades.
Brok himself was a tad impressed by the ingenuity of these kids, albeit hidden behind the blue Dwarf's stubborn nature.
But Brok really hated having his customers complain about his wares, 'Oh, it's not my colour.' They said, or 'It's not my style.' They said, OR 'It's too expensive!' They said! OR 'It doesn't look useful!' LIKE ONE OF THE COMPLAINTS HE WAS HAVING RIGHT NOW! "Well what do you what's useful shit these days! You haven't even tried it, ya slack jawed idiot! This Fall Oak breastplate is one of my latest wonders of defence."
"It's. Made. Of. Wood!" The student countered back, clapping his hands with each word, "How is wood ever going to protect anyone. When has it ever protected anything!"
The Huldra brother got fed up with this turd lumper and proceeded to put his foot down, "Well if you don't like it, then you can just piss off and get lesser quality stuff from the poor excuses that can't reach my level! Now get!" Having scared off his customer, the blue dwarf decided to go on a break. He reached down under his bench and pulled out a cooler holding his favourite drink Remnant had by far, Valean Wilds beer, and popped off the bottle's cap.
But not two seconds later, he heard a knock at his store's entrance. And standing there was the bastard that recruited him in the first place. A friendly smile nearly always plastered on his face. That face disturbed Brok a little.
Brok may like making his patrons happy when it comes to selling them gear that could turn a Tatzelwurm into an unrecognisable bloody mess, but there were always the types of smiles that didn't belong on a person's face, case in point: Ozpin. It was weird how the headmaster didn't have a last name, or how Ozpin wasn't a colour themed name compared to everyone else's. Not to mention there was this ancient sense of magic centred directly on the green clad professor.
Its was none of the blue Dwarf's business to pry into other peoples businesses so he never bothered to ask about it. Though he is tempted to, if his curiosity compels him to in the future. As Brok groaned and gave the headmaster a sour look, the bespectacled man raised a single brow.
"I apologise for intruding, but I couldn't help but notice one of my students fleeing from here in a fearful fit. May I ask why?" With his moment of peace ruined, the master blacksmith set his beer down back in it's cooler so not to let it get warm.
"That little turd lump didn't appreciate the good quality shit I was selling, so I mades him beat it." He said, gesturing over the piece of armour on the bench. True to the complaints of his last customer, the breastplate was made out of wood, but not just any ordinary wood, it was made with the combination of oak and Forever Fall sap. For the people of Remnant it was an impossible task to fuse the two materials together to make them into something useful, but Brok had his Dwarven smithing talent, so the impossible only became possible. The sap from the Forever Fall wood would be absorbed into the oak, making it denser and a lot less susceptible to be burned, stabbed through, or smashed broken.
But it is weak against ice based attacks, and it wouldn't give much protection against any bifrost wielding enemies. But at least it helps resist poison.
Ozpin scrutinised the armour, intrigued by the design. The wood of the oak was painted white with steel frames holding the armour together with two oak pauldrons strapped to the breastplate by leather straps, some places of the armour had hardened red sap filled into some of the cracks of the armour, giving it a distinctive white and red appearance. The headmaster refocused his gaze back onto the Huldra brother with a slight smirk, "And this makes... the sixteenth time that you drove your patrons away?" His comment only made Brok growl quietly at the professor.
"Rrgh, fuck you, nobody asked you to keep count. You don't sees me keeping track of letting yer greenhorn shitters off the hook whenever they gets into trouble, which is pretty ballsy of ya I've gotta say." When Brok was still getting his bearings of being in a new realm, the first month in he had a talk with one of the teachers, something Peach he guessed, and she mentioned how a third year team had caused a Dust explosion in one of her colleagues' class. And when they were meant to be punished for being rowdy in the first place Ozpin had told the teacher in charge of that class to let it slide that one time.
With the other times that followed that had the same outcome, despite being so few, the headmaster had earned some respect from the blue Dwarf, and that was rare a thing to happen. And speaking of Ozpin...
"Was there anything you needed from me? Or did you just want to stop by and have a drink with me?" Brok said, taking out his neglected beer out of it's cooler, shaking it a little as an offer. Ozpin raised his hand in refusal.
"Thank you, but no that's not what I'm here for." The master blacksmith shrugged and took a swig of his drink, "But you're right, there is something I wanted to talk to you about. It's something that has been preoccupying my mind lately. With Atreus, Freyr and you together, is it at all possible to open a path to the nine realms? Is there any materials we have on Remnant needed for something like that?" The bespectacled man asked, with hope in his voice.
"Oh, yeah sure, you got all the right stuffs for what you want me and the boys to make. Except for one little thing, there ain't any bifrost crystals here!" The Huldra brother shouted. "I can see all over your face that you're giddy to hop over all the realms, but I need the one ingredient in order to whip up something that can open a breach to do that, and that's bifrost crystals at their rawest. Without bifrost, nobody's going nowhere."
Given how no one on Remnant used bifrost for their weapons or vehicles, Brok fairly assumed that it didn't exist anywhere on Remnant. It was the only thing he needed left, everything else he could make do but he couldn't flip the switch without the power source, and the master blacksmith didn't know where to get it.
Unless... what he found a few weeks ago had what they needed to kickstart the whole project. But that would have to wait until the kid passes initiation first.
Ozpin closed his eyes in disappointment, then opened them with a small smile, "I see, I suppose I was too wishful in thinking it would be that easy, my apologies for wasting your time, master Brok. I'll take my leave now in case you receive any more customers." As he made way to exit the store, the white haired man suddenly stopped and looked back at the master blacksmith, "Ah, before I forget, there was one other thing I wanted to ask of you. When we went to visit Atreus last Saturday, I overheard miss Rose express her desire to be taught the magical Dwarven ways of smithing from you, a possible apprentice I believe?"
Oh great, more work to be put on his load. The Huldra brother would normally refuse, but the fine print on his deal with Oz said that any additional work will have an increase in pay. That, and he was getting more and more impressed with the mechashift weapons that the students made little by little. So Brok let out a loud groan of defeat knowing that he had no choice to accept the professor's hidden request, "Fine! I'll teach the flower girl a trick or two if it so pleases ya, you son of a bitch."
The headmaster said nothing in response, turning back around to leave, the blue Dwarf made a gruff noise and smirked at his boss, watching him walk out the door to wherever the fuck he planned on going. After taking another swig of his beer, Brok reached into his bag of infinite space and pulled out a jackhammer, a blueprint sheet, a pair of welding goggles and a blowtorch. The blueprints had an image of a big door, on the top left side of the sheet was a column of tick boxes with different numbers of tools with most of them crossed out. The title at the top of the blueprint spelled out 'Magic Surprise'. The title needed work but that wasn't important, what was important was that he was going to take another crack at trying to open up what he found. And Brok really hoped it would work this time.
Letting out a yelp, Ruby ducked and dashed back to avoid a slash from a Beowolf. The Red caped girl fired a few shots with Crescent Rose to gain momentum and cut through the Grimm that occupied her.
Having a second of relief, she looked back to see that everyone had everything covered in their departments. Ruby had come up with the idea for the group to go out and hunt some Grimm as training, when Atreus asked why, her reason was that her god friend could tryout his Aura that was unlocked a few days prior. That, and she really wanted to see Ingrid in action, the boy archer had talked big about the sentient sword that he once possessed for a short time in Asgard, of how it could fly around to fight other enemies that got too close and it's ability to shoot lasers! Flipping! LASERS! So of course, Ruby's attraction to weapons went into overdrive.
The scythe wielder squealed in absolute excitement whenever Freyr threw the magic blade at the Grimm, and the sword would then slice and dice the creatures of darkness as if they were fruit in a blender! It was coolest thing ever!
"Sis! Stop fantasising over the flying sword and get some kills in!" The blonde boxer yelled, dodging a strike from the Beowolves she was busy with, "You can ask it out on a date when this is over!" The older sister teased, uppercutting her foe then giving it a roundhouse kick, sending the wolf like Grimm yards away before it disintegrated into black ash.
Ruby stuck out her tongue in annoyance. Seriously, couldn't Yang just not embarrass her in front of their god friends, she doesn't want them to think that she's weird or anything for gushing over how awesome their weapons are. The young Huntress in training only narrowly dodged the bullet when Atreus didn't point out how she fiddled with his bow when they first met. "Yang, shut up! I wasn't thinking about that at all! And for your information, I got plenty more kills than you do!"
Three Sonic arrows flew past her, hitting the Beowolf she almost forgot about in the head, putting it in a stunned state, "It's stunned!" The young Jötun called out, then raised his magic shield to parry an attack, triggering a realmshift making him move faster than the eye can track, allowing the archer to fire multiple regular arrows in nothing but a split second.
Gah, so unfair that the silver eyed girl doesn't have time manipulating powers, her Semblance may be fast but it's never been that fast!
Ruby turned her frustration onto the Grimm that was still stunned and used an underswing attack that hooked the Beowolf on Crescent Rose's blade, and swung it overhead onto the ground on her opposite side and pulled the trigger, blasting the beast into nonexistence.
•••
Atreus finished off the last of the remaining Grimm with his Sharpshooter Stare and watched as they disintegrated away in air. This by far greater workout than the training he had during Fimblwinter with his father and Mimir. Plus his Aura helped gave a tremendous boost to the Champion's stamina and strength, Remnant was really starting to grow on the boy.
"Woo, that was a beat!" The yellow themed girl exclaimed, she looked over to her sister and wore a smug grin, "Oh, Ruby? Just wanted to let you know I beat your score. Twelve Grimm, ha!"
"What!? No way, I saw you only get ten!" Ruby crossed her arms in denial that her sister defeated more than her.
The blonde payed no mind to the silver eyed girl's complaints and instead gave her attention to the godly duo before them.
"You guys were insane, are all gods badass fighters in the nine realms?" Yang had a big smirk on her face as she rested her hands behind her head, her sister changed her attitude when she lost Yang's focus.
Ingrid chirped excitedly in affirmation, Freyr chuckled lightly before responding, "Well, you could say that. Though not all of the others are as battle hardened as the rest of us, some of us fought hard to survive the Æsir while the rest were either brought to Odin's heel or worse. But, now that the prick is dead we can all get on with our lives! And, maybe I can get Kratos to tell me more about that Muse job you mention-" Suddenly, the Vanir god stopped speaking. Atreus could tell that the ruler of Alfheim was sensing something from the way the trees were swaying around from the wind. Because the Champion of the Jötnar could feel it as well.
The girls became confused by the sudden change in behaviour and tried to ask what was wrong but were silenced by Freyr's hand gesture to stop. The older god looked to the boy and the two nodded in understanding, they began focusing on the strange feeling.
After a while, Freyr finally broke the silence, "Well... that was weird."
The two Huntresses in training only looked confused at this, "Uh, you mean the fact that you guys just got super quiet all of a sudden and acted really weird? Or is it something we're missing?" The blonde brawler crossed her arms, expecting whatever explanation that the two gods had.
"Well, the weird thing about it is that it felt like we were being watched, and then it disappeared." Atreus answered, who was also visibly confused.
"Heh, that's not even the strangest part, it was powerful enough for the both of us to sense it. There's no doubt about it, that was magic, foreign magic to be precise but still... very strong." The Vanir god added in. Everyone was now looking in the more denser part of the forest that the bizarre presence was detected.
Ruby's face became concerned over what was described by the other worldly gods, something powerful enough for them both to notice that was watching the group sent a shiver down her spine, "We're ok though, right?"
The natives of Vanaheim and Midgard looked to each other again, unsure of how to answer that. It was a cause of concern that they were being observed by some unknown source that possessed incredible magical power. Counter measures would have to be put in place.
"I'm not sure, but I can create a protection stave around the woods, so that'll keep the house safe from whatever that was." That brought the red themed girl's spirits back up.
The group returned to the Xiao Long-Rose household after they felt the need to leave before anymore weird things happened. Freyr told the kids that he was going to notify Ozpin once he got back to Beacon academy, when Tai came home he was filled in on what happened. Naturally, the former Huntsman was a little freaked out by the news of some powerful magical presence spying on his family, but was calmed when Atreus told him about the stave he would raise before the archer and girls went to Beacon.
"Man, this is heavy. There is just so much weird stuff going on, it's probably a miracle that we only have the Grimm to deal with instead of whatever you guys have to fight against." The blonde man took a sip of coffee he brewed, the caffeine helped deter the fatigue of work and keep his nerves steady.
The young god nodded in agreement with the father, thinking back on the monsters he and his father had slain, "You're not wrong about that. I don't think you guys are ready to take on dragons yet." The boy playfully jabbed at the Remnant natives, which got the two sisters giggling and their dad chuckling as well.
"Easy there, Mohawk, today's adventure was just a taste of our awesomeness. You ain't seen nothing yet." Yang quipped, her signature smirk plastered over her face.
"She's right, I wouldn't count these Remnites out so quickly, kid. I've seen a bunch of second and third year students kick a bunch of ass these last few months. You'd be surprised what this realm's warriors can do." The lord of second chances stated, he then took out his Scroll to check that the time drawing close to six, "Well, looks like I should probably head back to the boss and let him know what happened earlier." Everyone followed the Vanir god outside to see him off, he unsheathed Ingrid and turned back to Atreus and the family, "If anything else happens, let me know and I'll come to back you up faster than Thor's hammer." Freyr crouched down and leapt up high, using the sentient sword to carry him across the sky.
Loki stared after the glowing light that the ruler of Alfheim emitted as it grew fainter the farther away he flew. It was great having his friends back, if Atreus ever found a way back to the nine realms, he and the others were going to throw the biggest party ever.
"Oh, hey guys? I just remembered something."
"Hm, what's up lil' buddy?" Yang asked, her father and sister also listening to what the boy had to say.
"I was gonna say this before but then we got sidetracked by that weird magic presence, but I wanted to tell you... I scored thirteen kills. I win." The archer said with the biggest shit eating grin he had in all time.
The girls were shocked by this unexpected news while their dad let out a hearty laugh. Their expressions of shock changed to a peeved annoyance as they voiced in unison, "NUH-UH!!"
Somewhere in the desserts of Vacuo
The hot sun that glared down onto the sandy plains that stretched across the wasteland dessert began to set. With the cold air that would come, there were hardly any settlements nearby that would offer potential aid and reprieve from the environment, such a place could not sustain any life if any tried.
But, from out of nowhere, in shadowy wisps appeared a man who looked to be in his thirties. He had black hair and a goatee, he wore a blue open tunic that was tucked under a burgundy waist belt with gold accents, which also has a dagger strapped on the left side. Leather waist guards protected his legs down to the knees, and sandals adorned his feet with grieves strapped in a crisscross pattern. But most notable about this man's features were the parts of his body, specifically his arms and part of his chest that reached up to the left of his face, were covered in inky black darkness.
Making his way across the rough and course land, he glanced up at the shattered moon that was beginning to appear. It was beautiful, yet sad at the same time, he wondered what could have caused it to be broken.
The mysterious man came to a stop at his destination, even though he only walked for a few minutes.
Waving his hand in the air, an illusion was removed, revealing a hidden valley with cliffs stretching from either side for a couple of miles. The man continued moving forward into the unveiled valley, before shrouding it again behind him.
It was a minor use of illusionary magic, something that was so simple it was child's play for the Furies of Greece.
The memories of home came to the front of his mind, the memories of a childhood of cruelty from a father that never loved him. Memories of the women that took him in and gave him the burden of carrying the broken oaths of traitors, memories of his beloved. And most of all, the memories of a Spartan he had the honour to call his friend.
It has been many years since the peculiar man had last saw the warrior that spurred him to betray his father and mothers, and since then he reunited with the oracle that shared the love he had for in the Underworld. Until one day, all of the souls of Hades, both evil and pure were escaping to the living world.
To everyone's astonishment, the children of Elysium were alive once again and could wander freely in the mortal realm.
The gods of Olympus were no more, and mortals were shimmering with a new power that neither he nor his beloved had ever seen before. And some time after that, he found a child he recognised...
He didn't dwell further in his thoughts when he arrived at his true destination. It was a small cave that served as a temporary refuge for him and his charge. They had left Greece for a journey across dimensions; a vision came to the oracle's mind, one predicting of the Ghost of Sparta, and one very specific weapon. This world was greatly involved with the prophecy, and it had been many, many months of searching for the Spartan he once called friend. But the warrior was nowhere to be found, and the only clue that the former oath bearer had were the foreign gods that were appearing randomly in recent months.
Especially the one that popped out of the sky recently and sprouted fresh produce from infertile soil. The Fury found him again just today in another part of the world called Vale, conversing with a trio of youths, one of whom was a god that shared the blood of Kratos, he just knew it!
So, before the former oath keeper could be discovered, he teleported back to the ocean sands of the kingdom of Vacuo.
Strange, his charge wasn't anywhere in sight, looking at the makeshift bed that the child had he spotted a note on it. Picking it up and reading its contents, the mysterious man sighed as message read that the girl went out to train, and that she couldn't wait for him any longer. She certainly inherited the restlessness from her father, no doubt about it.
"She is still young, so of course she'll want to be adventurous." He reasoned with himself, the man went back out of the cave and looked up to stars that were slowly moving in, "I'm sure you'll be overwhelmed to be reunited with her again, old friend."
Aaannndd that's a wrap! Woo! So happy to finally get this chapter done, it was so difficult getting my brain to cooperate with me to get something down. But! I most of the important stuff for V1 figured out, and BOY! Am I sure you all are gonna get kick out of it.
Atreus met up with Freyr and hung out with his friends and he got some new drip. I hope you guys like the new design for Freyr's outfit cus' it'll be around for a while but only have Atreus wear his civilian clothes for the filler chapters mostly.
And let's be real here, y'all know who the Greece characters I added are, especially motherfucking Orkos. And you know which girl I'm putting in here that Orkos is talking about, I just like being mysterious when writing characters into a story. So, props to the peeps that know who's coming.
And what's this? Brok's special surprise involves a door? Whatever could it entail? Welp, looks like you're going have to wait for next time, that's for sure. I also want to give my thanks to those who've followed my story and for the supporting reviews, I hope you all can tolerate my slow effort of writing and stick around for the long run. Cheers!
