Hermione sipped her coffee as she walked the halls of St. Mungo's, cursing herself for her hasty retreat the day prior. Maybe she should have given Draco and Theo a bit more credit and not just run off. Though, when she'd gotten home, she'd just gotten supper started when Ron came in through the floo and apologised for his overreaction at the mention of Harry.
The apology was heartfelt and he seemed to genuinely be sorry for the overreaction, but the overreactions had happened too frequently for Hermione to believe that he'd really act differently in the future.
"Granger," Draco greeted as he came up next to her. When Hermione opened her mouth to reply, it quickly turned into a squeak when Draco grabbed her arse under her healer robes. Draco held her close to him, leaning closer than was appropriate publicly in order to whisper, "Theo sends his best."
Hermione cleared her throat and straightened her shoulders, giving a slight shrug, but she didn't move to release Draco's hold of her. It was wrong, it was so very, very wrong, but Hermione's core was clenching at Draco's hand on her and she was already needing more of him. Draco must have had the same thoughts because, after a glance over his shoulder, he was pulling her into a broom closet.
ooo
"Mione, have you seen the pram? Do you know if Mum brought it back the last time she borrowed it?" Hermione tightened her grip on her book as she sat in front of the only window with any decent lighting. When she'd run out of Nott's home a few days earlier, she'd known she'd forgotten something.
Instead of answering him, Hermione flipped to the next page, despite that she had no idea what she'd just read a moment earlier, her mind racing, trying to think of how to get the pram back before Ron asked his mother about it.
"Mione? Didn't you hear me?" Ron asked, rounding the corner with a happily babbling Rose on his hip. The baby had her hands tangled in his hair and he clicked his tongue at her, but the smile on his face contradicted him telling her no.
"I'm not sure where it's at," Hermione nearly murmured, not looking up from the story in her lap. "Perhaps it's at Harry's. If it's not in the front closet then I might have forgotten it when I was there with her the other day." The lie fell so easily from her lips, and she should have felt bad about it.
Should have, but she didn't.
"Oh, well…" Ron trailed off and Hermione snuck a glance in his direction to try and gauge what he was thinking. "I guess if you could get it back from him, that'd be good."
"Were you going somewhere today?" Hermione asked, finally setting the book aside and giving Ron her full attention.
"Oh, yeah, well since I have the day off and no extra training, I thought I might pop into the shop to help George. Was going to bring Rose with me to let you have a bit of a break and do whatever you need to get done."
Now looking at him, Hermione noticed the bag with all of Rose's things on his shoulder and Rose dressed and wearing the new little boots that Pansy had gotten her the week before. Giving her a bit of a shy smile and his cheeks turning pink from embarrassment, Ron cleared his throat awkwardly when Hermione didn't say anything.
"Yeah, well, anyway. I suppose we'll get going. Angelina is home this week and said she'd help with keeping an eye on Rose in the apartment if the store gets too busy. So, I guess we'll see you later…" Ron trailed off again, walking over to Hermione and giving her a chaste kiss on the cheek then leaning Rose towards her, who mimicked her father but with much more slobber and enthusiasm.
"Uh, so, I guess I'll see you tonight," Ron said, stepping towards the fireplace with Rose back to pulling at the roots of his hair.
"See you tonight," Hermione murmured, not moving from her spot even as the emerald flames whisked the pair of redheads away. The fire was starting to die down, still, even that enchanted colour from the magic used, when a harsh knock at the door came.
Ripping her eyes away from the hearth, Hermione looked at the door and back at the fireplace. No one ever knocked…
All her neighbours avoided her, especially after she showed up one afternoon to the one with the dogs and went completely mental after their silencing charms were broken and woke her and Rose from a nap. She had no muggle relatives to pop by nor any muggle friends, and the friends she did have all had unlimited floo access (mostly because Hermione wasn't mad enough to try and prevent Pansy from doing as she pleased).
When another knock came, Hermione slowly stood from her chair, easing her way towards the front door, avoiding the windows so whoever was outside wouldn't see her. Was it someone selling something? No, couldn't be. No wizards did door-to-door sales, and being a magical dwelling there were wards set to deter muggles from wanting to come towards the building.
Though when she reached the door and looked through the peephole, she never would have in a million years guessed it would be him. Truth be told, at this point she should have expected it.
"Nott," Hermione answered the door, pulling it open and looking the wizard up and down. Per usual, he was dressed in the finest immaculately tailored suit. The navy blue of the suit made his own blue eyes seem even brighter, while his chestnut curls were artfully styled to look tousled, though they never fell into his face or looked unkempt. "I'd ask how you found my home, but I doubt you'd tell me."
Ever so slowly, his head tilted to the side as Nott studied her, causing Hermione's body to shiver. Wrapping her cardigan more tightly around her, the heat in Nott's gaze reminded her that she was still wearing her sleep shorts and tank top. When he smirked at her attempt to cover up, Hermione knew that she was blushing.
"What do you want? I have a busy day ahead of me, so if you don't mind." Hermione quipped, crossing her arms tighter over her chest as if she could shield herself from him.
An uncomfortable silence continued to stretch, and it made Hermione begin to bounce on the balls of her feet. She had never been good with silence, always feeling the need to fill it, but with him, she felt compelled to let it stretch out until he finally gave the reason for why he was here. No need for her to play his games.
"You left your pram in my boot, thought you'd want it back," Nott finally answered, pulling the shrunken pram from his pocket and tossing it in her direction. "Now, are you going to be a good girl and invite me inside for tea, or are you going to be a brat and make me teach you proper manners?"
Hermione knew that her mouth had dropped open by the boldness of the wizard on her step, and without waiting for an invitation, Theodore Nott stepped around her and into the small sitting room.
"Hm, well, this just won't do for my golden girl," she could hear him murmuring to himself as he surveyed the second-hand furniture and overflowing bins of toys. "I'll need to find proper accommodations, preferably with a yard for the spawns to play in."
"Nott, how did you find my house, and what are you talking about?" Hermione snapped as soon as her mind had caught up to what was happening. "Proper accommodations? I'm not your mistress or anything like that."
This outburst drew Nott from whatever internal conversation that Hermione was not privy to, causing the wizard to fully turn his attention towards her. His eyes narrowed as he looked over the well-worn clothes she'd slept in the night before while also taking in the dingy walls and sun lightened curtains that hung over the windows.
"But you are, Hermione." He said, at last, stepping towards her. Being the Gryffindor that she was, Hermione didn't move, though her hands were shaking as the nervousness at what was to come coursed through her. "You're mine, just as Draco is mine. Seeing the two of you together has opened my eyes to what I've always suspected was missing, and now that I've discovered that it was you, I'm never letting you go."
She should not have been turned on by his statement. In fact, Hermione should have been hexing Theodore Nott and sending him out the door at wand point. However, as much as Hermione knew that should be the case and that's what should be happening, she instead found herself more turned on than she'd ever been.
The demanding tone in his voice and the need that he seemed to have for her. Not only sexually, but in every way possible.
Hermione didn't say a word, too stunned by the contrast of commanding presence that just hung around him like a cloak with the need he obviously had for her. When he moved in front of her, Hermione still said nothing as she watched Nott sink to his knees in front of her. With her mouth hanging open, Hermione was stunned by the wizard, sliding her shorts to the side before sliding his tongue into her folds.
He'd hardly touched her, and already her legs were shaking with the want that he was pulling from her.
"So sweet," he murmured against her, taking another taste. "No wonder Draco has always been so drawn to you."
If it hadn't been for him holding her legs still, Hermione knew that she would have collapsed from his touch already. "Nott, gods, I'm going to cum!" Hermione hissed, but when he pulled away from her cunt, the bliss she'd been hurtling towards came screeching to a halt. "What, what are you doing?" she stammered out, completely perturbed by his stopping.
"Nott was my father's name. You are to call me Theo or – during times such as this – sir. Do you understand?"
"What are you–" Hermione let out a gasp as Theo pinched her clit. "Yes, sir. I understand," she groaned, letting out a sigh as he released her.
"Good, now come, we aren't nearly finished." Theo took Hermione by the hand and led her towards the stairway. In a daze, Hermione had no protests as she dutifully followed behind the man, who it seemed, was ready to in equal parts destroy and claim her.
"Sir," Hermione protested as Theo began to pull her into Ron's bedroom. "Sir, this isn't my bedroom."
Without looking at her, Theo pulled her inside, leaving the door open. "I know," he said so low that Hermione had to strain to hear him. His dark blue eyes were nearly glowing as he pushed her onto the unmade bed.
Without removing any of his clothes, Theo stepped between her legs, freeing his cock, giving it a few pumps. Leaning forward onto his forearms, he hovered over her. The sight of him made her shiver with excitement of his depravity. In his suit with his tie perfectly straight while they were doing completely indecorous activities in her boyfriend's bed.
"Condom," Hermione weakly protested as Theo lined himself up with her dripping centre, but with a shake of his head, he plunged himself inside. Thrusting his hips, Hermione threw back her head, any thoughts of the protection she needed to use escaping as she moaned with the feel of Theo inside her.
Even as he spilled himself inside her, Hermione was too weak to consider the implications of what he was doing to her. Though, after giving a brief kiss on her forehead and then walking out of Ron's room without a word, Hermione sat up and watched him go wondering what the fuck she'd gotten herself into.
ooo
"No, I should owe another four thousand galleons," Hermione stated, leaning forward to try and see the parchment that the Gringotts Goblin was scribbling on with her student loan information. "I'm here to make my monthly payment of fifty-five galleons."
The Goblin slammed the folder shut and a large red 'PAID' stamp appeared on the top of it. A tap of his long bony finger the file of all the loans that Hermione had taken out for her healer training program disappeared.
"Our business is concluded, Ms. Granger," the Goblin snarled, waving his hand and shooing her away from his desk. Before she could even open her mouth to ask another question, like who paid off her bloody debt , the Goblin was already engaged in another transaction with a new customer.
Looking down at the extra fifty galleons in her bag, Hermione blew a piece of stray hair out of her eyes as she stepped out into the bright afternoon sun. Looking around at the meandering group, Hermione turned her attention to the baby on her back.
"Shall we go pay Dada's fines then? Or get lunch?" Hermione asked the nine-month-old girl, who only squealed. "Yes, I suppose you're right. We can do both, I'm sure if we invite your Godfather to lunch, he'll even pay."
The pair of them walked to the nearest public floo access, stepping through and into the Ministry atrium the next moment. Ron had taken his day off to go help George around the joke shop, leaving Hermione and Rose to go around and make all the payments that were due. Ron's fines technically weren't due until the following week, but Hermione figured she might as well get it done now that she didn't have her schooling debt hanging over her any longer.
The elevator ride up to the DMLE was quick and the clerk's office was the first door to the right of the lift. Hermione pushed the door open and was pleased to find a certain messy-haired wizard that she'd been wanting to find anyway.
"Hello, Harry," Hermione greeted, causing the Head Auror to turn away from the secretary to Hermione and Rose. "Here, take your Goddaughter, she's getting awfully heavy these days and I feel like you've been neglecting her anyway." Hermione reached behind her and easily lifted the baby from the carrier.
As soon as Rose spotted Harry, the girl let out an ear-piercing scream of excitement, reaching for the wizard.
"I'd never neglect the most perfect girl in the whole world," Harry cooed, happily taking Rose from Hermione, not even bothering to greet Hermione directly
"You better not let Pansy hear you say that." Hermione laughed.
With Rose entertained, Hermione moved to the clerk and gave the witch a tight smile as she held out her bag. "I need to make a payment for Ronald Weasley."
"Absolutely, let me get his file pulled," the young witch stated with a bright face and chipper tone. Tapping her wand on her filing cabinet, the rustling of paper could be heard just before a bright red folder flew out of the drawer and into the witch's hand. "Here we are," she mused, opening the records to read what was due.
However, the cheerful look on her face began to morph into one of confusion as she flipped through the pages in front of her. "What payment are you attempting to make?" The girl asked, flipping through the pages at such a rapid rate even Hermione would have had trouble reading at the speed the witch was. "There's no account here that I can find that is due. The additional training and fees for an unnamed incident are all paid in full. Was there another witch or wizard's account you needed to make a payment for?" The girl inquired after she'd gotten to the end of the file, looking back up at Hermione with the creepily happy smile on her face again.
"Er, are you sure you have the right Ronald Weasley? Date of birth first of March 1980?" Hermione asked, trying to look at the file that the girl simply snapped shut, though, at Hermione's questioning, the young girl was now appearing to be offended.
"Yes, I'm quite sure that I know how to do my job. Now, if there's no other account you'd like to make a payment towards, I'm going to have to ask you to step to the side." The witch snipped, leaning so that she could look behind Hermione at the line that had already begun to form.
Looking over her shoulder and then back at the secretary, Hermione opened her mouth to protest but quickly snapped it shut and nodded her head. Turning back to where Harry was levitating Rose in the air, Hermione wondered what the hell was going on.
ooo
The table was quiet as Hermione looked over at Ron, who was feeding Rose her lunch, though feeding was a term used loosely in this situation as a majority of the beans she had been given were in Ron's hair. Hermione was finishing her own sandwich, chewing slowly as to try not to draw attention to herself and how eager she was to leave.
"Are you sure you'll be fine at home with her while she naps? I could always wait until she's done to go into Diagon to get Harry's birthday gift." Hermione offered again, though without looking at her Ron shook his head.
"No, it's fine. I'm just going to be going over the schedule for the shop to make sure we have enough coverage for the back-to-school shopping." Ron said, making a face in Rose's direction in an attempt to get her to take a bite.
"If you're sure…" Hermione trailed off, gathering her dirty dishes and heading towards the sink.
"Mione," Hermione grimaced at the hated nickname, but Ron didn't see as her back was still turned. "We'll be fine. I'm just going to be right here going over the schedule and orders while she naps. When she wakes up, she's going to my mum and I'll pop into the shop. Don't worry," he continued when Hermione whirled around at the mention of Molly. "Mum asked to have Rose come over for a play date today. She's not going to say anything because she's not viewing it as watching her. Honest, go on, find something nice for Harry and just enjoy a day out. Maybe we can get takeaway for dinner or something later."
Hermione turned around and looked at the man covered in beans, his blue eyes bright and hopeful. For a moment she felt guilt at what she'd been doing behind his back with Draco and Theo, but as soon as the other two wizards flashed across her mind she remembered if she didn't hurry she'd be late to meet them.
It had been a month since she'd first been with Draco at the Hogs Head, and what should have been a one-time thing had morphed into something so much more. The love bites she was covered in were constantly hidden by glamour charms and the smell of sex was a constant reminder that she'd just finished with them.
"Anyway," Hermione swept past Ron's suggestions with practised ease. "Pansy will have my head if I don't hurry up." Walking over to a tired Rose, Hermione gave the little girl a kiss on her cheek, darting away from the mess on her hands. When Ron looked up hopefully at her, Hermione gave him a tight smile and swept from the kitchen and into the sitting room.
ooo
Hermione had her head turned to the side, not wanting to look up at the man above her panting as he thrust into her with abandon. His sweat was dripping onto her body and Hermione was trying to not grimace at the feeling of his moist hands groping her breasts.
"Yeah, you like that?" Ron grunted above her, but Hermione only hummed, not wanting to say anything since she didn't trust what might come out. Her skin was crawling with the feeling of him touching her and the last thing she wanted was to be here.
Another thrust of his hips and she could feel Ron spilling himself inside her.
"Ron! What the fuck!" Hermione exclaimed, pushing him off her as she stood up and scowled at his cum dripping down her thigh. "You were supposed to pull out! I could end up pregnant again!"
"Oh, come on, Mione," he said, his arm thrown over his eyes as his freckled and hairy chest rose with each of his breaths. "Would it really be that bad to have another one for Rose to grow up with?"
"She's not even a year old, Ronald! Gods! Use your head!" Hermione yelled, pulling her house coat on and covering her body.
As she stormed out of her bedroom and into the alley, she noted that Ron hadn't made any move to stop her or even to try to figure out why she was so concerned. Hermione screamed as she kicked over one of the bins that sat behind their townhouse, her fury with the man making her vision spot.
Rummaging in her pocket, Hermione looked for her wand. Even if it would cause her an enormous amount of pain to use the contraceptive charm due to the lingering effects of Dolohov's curse, the imbecile hadn't exactly left her any choice.
"What are you doing out here in nothing but a thin robe?" A husky voice asked from the darkness.
Any thoughts of what she'd been just about to do fled her mind as Hermione screamed and pointed her wand at the wizard who'd just snuck up behind her. With his hands in the air, feigning an innocence that she knew he didn't possess, Theo Nott was appraising her with such a heady gaze she thought she might melt right there among the trash.
"I needed to get out of the house…" Hermione trailed off, her breath catching as Theo continued to look over her appearance. Her hair was a wild mess, sticking in every direction and she knew she was still covered in a sheen of Ron's sweat.
"Why?" he asked, leaning close to her and sniffing her neck.
"Well that's not exactly any of your business, now is it." Hermione snapped, annoyed that Theo had it in his mind that he owned her for some reason.
However, instead of responding, Theo dropped to his knees in front of her. He threw one of her legs over her shoulder and began to suck on her centre. Hermione let out a moan at the feeling of his mouth on her, but all too soon he'd stopped. His thick fingers were in her, curved up as he dragged his blunt fingertips against the insides of her walls, swirling them and then pulling them out, just to repeat the motion twice more.
She could feel the bruise forming from him holding her leg in place so that she was as wide open to him as possible. Hermione squirmed with discomfort at the position Theo was holding her in. When she tried to pull him away, he looked up from his position on the ground and spat Ron's cum that had still been inside her.
"You just always have to test me, don't you?" He asked, his eyes heated and his tone possessive. "When will you understand that you're mine and that I control this." His mouth was on her again, sucking out whatever of Ron was left inside her. Her vision blurred and Hermione's body shook as Theo's fingers dug harder into her thigh.
Hermione was falling over in the aftermath of her orgasm, thankful when Theo finally released her leg. Standing up to his full height, the intimidating wizard leaned forward, scowling at her even while her climax dripped down his chin.
His hands were on her waist, spinning her around so that Hermione had to brace her hands against the brick wall. The clinking of his belt was all the warning Hermione got before Theo was filling her cunt.
She gripped around him, his girth almost too much for her at this angle, but he didn't stop with his punishing pace. One hand reached up into her wild hair, gripping it at her skull, and Hermione tried to scream, but Theo's hand clamping down over her mouth made it impossible.
"You will never let that cretin touch you again. You belong to me," he hissed in her ear before biting down on the lobe. "Do you understand?"
Theo slammed his hips against her arse again and Hermione's vision blurred as her orgasm overcame her. The tears were streaming down her cheeks, but when Theo finally found his own release, filling her and pushing it deeper into her cunt with a few gentle strokes, Hermione had nothing to say.
With Theo no longer holding her up, Hermione swayed on her unsteady legs, but Theo made no move to help her. Hermione looked up at him, but his cold, sapphire eyes told her that despite how much he craved her, he was furious with her for giving in to Ron. She'd only done it to try and ease away some of Ron's suspicions, however, Theo hadn't cared enough to ask why she'd done it.
With a swish of his cloak, Theo left her alone in the alley using one of the bins to support her. Feeling numb, but still vaguely aroused, Hermione was desperate for Theo to come back nd use her like that again.
ooo
Tapping her quill against her calendar, Hermione was trying to do her monthly budget. Somehow she had to get away from Ron. He didn't deserve what she was doing to him, but she was too much of a coward to come right out and tell him that she'd been unfaithful. A lot.
Flipping back a few months, Hermione hummed to herself but paused when she saw the small red checks in the bottom corners of certain days.
Scrunching her brow, Hermione flipped forward through the months again and the panic began to set in.
No, no, no…it couldn't…there was no way…
She was late…by a few months.
Checking the baby monitor, she saw that Rose was still sleeping, but knew she'd be waking up anytime now. A glance at the clock told her that Ron would be home within the next fifteen minutes.
"You're just being paranoid…" Hermione muttered to herself as she pulled out her wand. "There's no way. Rose is still breastfeeding…"
A wave and the incantation she'd used one other time and Hermione's entire world came to a halt.
She was pregnant.
The worst part?
She didn't have a clue who the father might be.
