Tanya
I never took much stock in looking up to the stars at night, how could I even if I did? The night sky was polluted with light from the city I lived in, and I'd have to travel out to the countryside to even see any stars at night; something I would do if given the chance, but I most often stuck to the city to diligently work my way up the corporate ladder. Oh sure, you'd see one or two bright lights in the night sky, but never quite something you'd see if you were out in the countryside with little to no light pollution; I've seen pictures of what the night sky looked like, but never seen it in person.
In my second life, I was granted the chance to see the unbridled sight of the night sky and the milky way that the parallel earth I was born on was within the arms of; during those many nights within the military camps during the war as I and my fellow troops recovered from our recent skirmish, I'd look up and imagine what it be like if I was born during a time in which Earth had reached beyond our solar system and colonized planets for its many humans to live on. I pondered in my mind if I'd have still been a human resource manager, if the set of circumstances would have changed my outlook on life, if my values would be any different…but then I'd realize that'd I'd still be me, regardless.
The urge in any human's life would be the want to live a better life, and the same would still be for me, climbing any corporate ladder to earn a livable wage and relax in the comfort of my home after a well earned day of relaxation; I'd no doubt read whatever books that caught my fancy, and I'd still favor the merits of meritocracy. Afterall, what's better than earning a life of working towards something, and being rewarded for your hard work in return?
Breaking myself out of my idle thoughts as I sat atop the console table of Yellow Diamond…MY Yellow diamond if I need to fit in better in this new life of mine; as I rummaged through whatever inherent system that whatever was fed into my mind somehow, I've come to realize I would now be serving a caste system. I don't know whether to blame Being X, or curse my luck in finding myself in this situation; afterall, it was my choice to follow in the direction of the light I saw in the darkness I was once in after Being X cast aside my soul to whatever empty soulless place I was in.
I felt the ship I was in come to a slight halt as she viewing monitors and space window showed it had arrived to its destination, I blinked in slight awe as I viewed for the first time, in person, an alien world; said alien world however was seemingly cracked into three large sections with a few smaller land pieces, whatever kind of science was at work, gravity seemed to be at the mercy of whatever was keeping the planet from forming back into one piece from the large landmasses gravitational force.
It didn't take much for the common human in my first life to learn how gravity works, and what I saw outside the ship I was on was defying some form of science that humans are able to comprehend. Surrounding the cracked planet were two diagonal rings that encircled the planet; it was quite amazing to see if I wanted to be honest with myself. Never would I have imagined in all my life…er, lives, I'd get to see an alien planet, but the mood was a bit ruined when I realized my given situation I was now.
"Quite the sight, I'd imagine you are thinking." Yellow Diamond spoke up as the ship drew closer to homeworld, the name of the planet I now come to identify it as in whatever seemingly boundless information was being fed into my mind from my gem. I glanced over up at my Diamond…another term I'd need to get acquainted with if I am to survive in this new life of mine. I shut my mouth, after realizing I was gaping in awe at seeing my first alien planet in any of my lives.
With a nod from me as I situated myself to sit upright and face the Diamond that had created the form I inhabit now, I responded with a measured tone of voice. "Yes, it's…quite the sight to behold." I responded with a simple smile back.
It was then Yellow Diamond leaned forward and took to examining me, or more specifically, my gem on my chest; she had her hand and fingers clasping her chin as she examined my gem. "While I have my ship take us to the nearest Pearl Reef facility, Let's see if your powers have stabilized yet…I want you to hold out your hands and begin forming energy." she commanded me with a firm look in her eyes.
Not wanting to create any conflict on my first day alive, and with some hope I wasn't some defect like the programming within my gem fed me info about, I held out both arms and placed my palms facing upwards. Feeling inward within myself, I could feel a well of energized power within me; it was like my second life all over again, except with a few caveats in how I was able to use mana in my second life. Unlike mana, in how it felt like pulling from out of me an intangible-like cloud of gas of some sort, as I pulled the energy from its source, my Citrine gem, it felt like I was working with a circuit board and wires. It was as if I was a sentient A.I. rerouting power through circuits and wires to will my power into existence within the palms and fingers of my being.
In an instance, I watched with a rather bit of morbid curiosity and fascination as I witness myself exude yellow sparks of small lightning that danced between my digits and down through my arm; My eyes trailed down my arms and saw that my light-based construct of a body showed circuit-like lines trail up my arms as I powers my sparks to my fingertips. If I really wanted to be honest with myself in my inner chuunibyou…ugh…, I thought back to my early human childhood days in my first life and when I watched the movie named Return of The Jedi, and how cool it was when the Emperor simply shot lightning out from his fingertips.
Suffice to say, while I kept my cringe to a minimum, most boys in my class would remark and act out the scenes themselves.
And now here I am, the very power at my fingertips as if I was the lovechild of the Emperor…
"Good…very interesting…" Yellow Diamond mused as she leaned forward and entered my view as I watched the Yellow Sparks of lightning dance between my fingers, she smiled in satisfaction at the fruit of my attempts to show what I guess she wanted to see. It was then Yellow Diamond brought her other arm and hand up to show her own yellow lightning dance between her fingers, but on a larger scale and more potent, if what I saw before me was of any indication. "Matches perfectly to the specifications I had in mind for you." Yellow murmured out softly with a smile and ceased giving a demonstration of her own powers, before leaning back on her chair.
Ok…maybe I am the love child of some weird imperial ruler…
Yellow frowned and waved me off, "You can cease now." she instructed with a commanding tone. "Your performance is satisfactory."
Oh, I looked down and noticed I haven't stopped emitting my powers, at a whim, I managed to will my powers to cease and allow my arms to settle back down beside myself as I sat back and glanced once more to the window of the ship I was on. That was almost embarrassing, I was a bit too enraptured with what was going on in that moment.
Yellow Diamond
This was good, the Citrine gem I created from a tiny fragment of myself and my own essence turned out quite well in my own opinion; the power output was acceptable and beyond the perimeters of what I initially calculated. The fact that the Citrine gem managed to be able to output the sheer amount of her own power in comparison to my own, is good, seeing as how I'll be using her as my stand in for operations and military campaigns; While my little Citrine Gem's powers does not measure much to my own, it's still acceptable that she's able to conjure up her own sparks for certain uses I have in mind.
As the ship headed in the direction of the nearest reef to get a suitable pearl for my new Citrine commander gem, I crossed my legs and arms in idle wait while ruminating in my own thoughts. I would occasionally glance at my gems around me, and finally found that their curiosity ceased and stuck to focusing on their own tasks. That was good, although I could still see my Pearl stealing jealous glances at my new Citrine gem as she stood down beside my chair whenever I glanced down at her.
hm…Not sure why she'd exhibiting jealousy, I'm simply keeping the new gem of mine up on my console desk so that I can keep an eye on her, and make sure she's acclimating well to the programs within her gem I've embed within the process of incubating her on one of my colonized planets. No matter, it'll all pass in time after I send my Citrine gem on her first campaign mission, but that's the thing though, what should be her first Trial run? Mayhaps I should put her in charge of advising Pink and her first Colony…afterall, it's within my Citrine's gem's programming to be able to do administrator work, a perfect way to test how well the new gem of mine can handle advisory work, before I send her off to her first campaign to another world to conquer and colonize for me. No…maybe I should just let Pink try and administrate on her own, since it's her first time colonizing her own planet.
I'll never hear the end of it from Blue and White, how I'm that one calling them out for coddling her, and here I am thinking of helping her out so she won't fail.
"My diamond." One of my Nephrite pilots brought me out of my musing, "We are now inbound to the Pearl Reef of Homeworld sector 223." the gem announced. "Estimation Time of Landing is within two minutes."
I uncrossed my arms and legs, and stood up while offering my hand to my new gem to climb on. "Good, come along Pearl." I said, while the Citrine gem looked up at me momentarily, before climbing to sit on my hand, and be allowed down to walk behind me along with my pearl. As I turned around and walked to the exit once the ship landed, I could hear the Pearl of mine and Citrine walk in step behind me.
Orange Pearl
Orange, that was the color I woke up to, as I sat up in my clamshell, the sight of my first gem owner. I smiled as I floated down and bowed before the Citrine Gem my program had imprinted onto, and took to notice that her skin pigment was orange, as was I in a slightly different tone of orange. "Hello!" I announced joyfully, "Allow me to-"
I was about to speak more, but as my vision basked in the sight of my new owner, I noticed we were not alone. Not far in the distance, stood what my program told me was Yellow Diamond, and another Pearl that was yellow as well. "Oh." I said as I kept my bow to my new owner, "This…this is…I don't think my mind can comprehend what to do in this situation!" I remarked with a troubled look.
From my point of view I watched as Yellow Diamond rolled her eyes and marched herself away, "I forgot how irritating a new pearl can be, their basic programming takes a while to set in." she said while she headed down the hallway. "Come outside when you two are finished, Citrine." Yellow Diamond's voice echoed back as she left from sight past the double clamshell doorways.
"..." I stood still as I bowed to my new owner, "uh…as I was saying,...um…" My cheeks lit up in embarrassment as I glanced up at my Citrine commander, however my mouth grew dry as I became speechless while I gazed directly into the citrine gem eyes of my Citrine Commander, she had her arms crossed with a curious expression while she tilted her head a bit.
"Are you able to grasp the concept of assistant?" My Citrine commander asked me, breaking me out of my reverie. "Can you even understand the meaning of what collating means?" she asked in a curious tone.
What? I'm pretty sure I should know…ah yes, combining information together. I nodded slowly as I watched My Citrine commander smiled a rather beatific smile, "Excellent, then we're on the right track to what I have in mind for you, we'll need to make sure you can also understand advanced mathematics, political theory, resources management…"
As my new owner continued to explain a few other things she had in mind for me, I couldn't help but stand up straight at her command as she instructed me to follow her out. Most pearls are given to high aristocrats, going by what my programming is telling me, but it seems like I've been given to one of Yellow's commanding gems of her military…so much information, I wonder what kind of relationship I'll have with my commander, going by my programming memory bank, every aristocratic gem is different in how they treat their pearl.
Going by how my Citrine commander acts, and the position she holds, I can only assume she'll use me as a means to deliver reports, if that's why she asked if I knew what collating means. Suffice to say, the future could have anything in store for me and the commanding Citrine I belong to now.
An; Enjoy another flashback chapter :D

Barn
Sitting atop a bale of hay to watch it all unfold before his eyes, Steven had stars of wonderment in his eyes as he watched the weird orange hand ship open up at the back end and allow its passengers to file out and get to work. Never seeing so many other different gems in one place, Steven could not help but watch as the gem known as Commander Citrine worked around the clock in giving out orders amongst her gem troops.
As he continued to sit atop on an impromptu seat against the barn, Steven let out a 'woah' as he watched a trio of Peridots form up and stand at attention across from Citrine. "More Peridot Gems." he whispered out in awe as he noticed a few things different about them Peridots.
"Yeah…" Peridot spoke up beside Steven, earning his attention and prompting him to glance over at Peridot. "Era one Peridots…see how they don't need limb enhancers?" she pointed out with an awkward tone while rubbing her arm in awkward shame, "Unlike me…and the rest of us era 2 Peridots…they have the power from the start in working with gem technology." she murmured as she had a forlorn look in her eyes as she watched the era 1 peridots salute their commander and began using their arms to shift into technology forms, like peridot would have had if she still had her limb enhancers.
"Peridot Facet 2F5L." Citrine's voice cut the two out of their musings, prompting said peridot to perk up and smile a bit when Citrine called out her facet name, "Yes…er ma'am?" She stood up and jogged over to give a short salute to her commander Citrine.
Citrine gestured towards the peridot that was with her, "If you have any information you've learned so far on where and how to get to the cluster, I would like you to begin working with your fellow peridots in getting a start on creating a drill post haste." she instructed Peridot with a generous smile.
With an appreciated look on her face, "Ma'am!" Peridot saluted once more and began working with the three willing Era 1 peridots that welcomed her with open arms. Suffice to say the camaraderie was evident enough amongst them all as Peridot had worked with the era 1 peridots before if evidence was enough with how they didn't look down against Peridot.
While Peridot led the other peridot with her to a black board with diagrams and plans of what she's thought up so far, Citrine on the other hand clasped her hands behind her back and smiled a content expression as she watched the rest of her crew bring out supplies.
Tanya
Things were running smoothly so far, and Tanya could help but smile as her crew worked around the clock in scrounging up what they could from the ship and supplies from the barn to work out a way to create a workable drill; it took some convincing of Blue Diamond to try and reason with Yellow Diamond, but the best she could do was see if she could work out a way to bubble the cluster and transport it from within the Earth's crust to above ground without harming the planet. Yellow would get her geo weapon, and Blue would get her preservation of Pink's legacy, it was a win-win situation in Tanya's opinion. The only thing they needed now, was for the peridots to create a temporary teleportation crystal that'll encompass the bubbled cluster should they be able to bubble it.
The only question was, who was powerful amongst them to bubble such an enormous thing? Tanya didn't want to toot her own horn, but strictly speaking, she wasn't sure if she could pour such an enormous output of gem energy to bubble such a massive geo-weapon.
"Um…Miss..Citrine…ma'am?" the Human boy gem-hybrid tried to get her attention, Tanya glanced over her shoulder and turned to face Steven.
"Ah, and you must be Steven, Correct?" Tanya asked him with a raised eyebrow of intrigue.
"Yeah!" Steven responded as he idly began to chatter with the Citrine commander, "I've been meaning to ask, how'd you get the okay to come to earth and stop the Cluster from emerging?" he asked her.
"Oh…" Tanya shrugged to herself with an amused smile, "It took some heavily worded suggestions to Blue diamond and Yellow Diamond, and as my station allowed, I was allowed to provide enough compelling argument to reason to keep the earth intact for the sake of Blue Diamond keeping a legacy of Pink whole, while at the same time extract the cluster without it destroying the Earth in the process."
"Huh…" Steven frowned in confusion, "But why would you go that far, just for earth?" he asked Tanya.
With a simple shrug of her own, Tanya responded with a nonchalant attitude, "Oh, I'm just doing it for myself, if anything…from what I remember, ancient humans made quite the coffee brew out of coffee beans, and cultivate the most delicious chocolate in ancient times" she half lied, half told the truth. In reality, Earth was the sole source she knew of in the galaxy that could grow a variety of coffee beans and cocoa beans. No where else in the milky way could anything match the delicacy that was Coffee…and chocolate…curse her sweet tooth!
"Hey!" Steven remarked with a humorous smile, "If you liked chocolate and coffee back then, then you'll definitely like how we make chocolate now-a-days…not sure about coffee though, tried it once, a bit bitter for my taste." Steven humbly said with a simple grin towards Tanya.
With an amused smile directed back at Steven, she was not worried in the slightest that Earth made good chocolate and coffee. "Hey." Steven began to ask with a curious look on his face, "If you like Earth so much and the stuff that comes from it, how come you didn't change sides during Rose's rebellion?" He asked innocently.
Things quieted down when Steven asked that question, causing every gem to stop what they were doing, and looked trouble toward their commander, in the meanwhile, the crystal gems had just arrived back with supplies of their own from the temple. Pearl was the first to speak up, "Steven!" she spoke aghast as she rushed over to cover his mouth and glare at Tanya.
"Don't bother asking this Citrine that! She's responsible for shattering the most gems with so many loyalist forces under her command." Pearl chided Steven with a glare directed at Tanya.
Tanya let out an exhausting sigh, "Still naive on war, eh, Pink's pearl?" she shot back with a snarl.
Pearl's eyes widened in fear at being called out, while hoping the Citrine gem didn't know more than that.
"W-w-what!" Amethyst yelled in shock with an uncertain look directed at the Pearl she knew.
"I saw it coming, but I'm still surprised about that." Garnet softly spoke with her fist clenched a bit.
Steven pried Pearl's hand off his mouth and looked up at Pearl with a worried face, "Pearl…you were Pink Diamond's pearl?" he asked her.
Biting her lips, unsure how to explain herself, Pearl sighed. "It's…I…things were difficult back then…Steven." she tried to reason with him
"Yes…" Tanya spoke up with an analytical look in her citrine eyes directed at the Pearl, "I'm sure it was difficult for you to let the Diamond you belong to, go in such a way." she alluded to something, as if she was piecing together a puzzle about Pearl with a narrowed eye look directed at her.
Pearl
This wasn't how she thought things would go, she thought the Citrine commander she once knew as nothing more than a bloodthirsty hound of Yellow Diamond, to be such an analytical mind to almost piece together who she was. She wanted to hope the day would be over, but all she could do was explain herself.
"Steven…" Pearl sighed a sad breath, "The Rebellion…it was…it was a terrible time for everyone, not just for me." she tried to reminisce without giving too much away.
"Yes." Citrine said with a glare pointed at her, "but in the end, did your side truly win in the end, at the cost of Pink Diamond?" She questioned her.
Pearl looked over at Citrine with a glare, "What would you know? We were fighting for the safety, freedom, and future of Earth, while you did the bidding of your Diamond." she accused the Citrine commander.
Citrine raised an eyebrow of her own in intrigue, "The loss of human lives and shattered gems were awful, yes, but can you say the same for yourself when you helped instigate the rebellion with Rose Quartz?" she accused right back with a smirk and condescending look, "Face it, Pearl. Your side is just as guilty for not planning your rebelion better. Where's all the survivors? Oh yes, corrupted by the diamonds' light!" she hissed back with an angered look.
"STOP IT!" Steven yelled as he stood between the two with his arms up in a halting manner at his sides, "Come on guys! Can't you both move on from the past?" he tried to reason with the two.
Citrine pursed her lips, before responding. "I will say, I do regret shattering so many gems, but we must move on from the past, and stop looking back." she was supplied with a melancholy look.
Pearl searched for any look of deceit in Citrine's eyes, only to find none. "I won't forgive you for what you've done, but…Steven's right…" Pearl sighed mournfully, "I…do…need to move on." she said more to herself, on the matter of 'Rose' especially.

The Fifth one part 2
Prior to Tanya evolution into a Diamond
Within the matrix code of Tanya's gem, a soft feminine voice echoed off various words as it felt compelled to follow through several ancient codes inherent in all gems and diamonds in a given situation. "Construct Facet 74ny4 Cut v0n is reaching critical emotional stress…" within the matrix of Tanya's citrine gem that was made from a small shard of Yellow Diamond, several dozen circuit like lines began connecting and fizzling out, redirecting and sparking now routes for energy to flow within the code of Tanya's gem. "Parameters are acceptable…sufficient energy and resources available within surroundings…source of emotional stress acquired…loss of pearl…centuries of stress under one named Yellow Diamond…this one is now aware White Diamond has been busy creating new diamonds from herself…Yellow Diamond has seemed to take a note from her progenitor and created her own pseudo diamond in the form of a Citrine gem…"
As Tanya sank into the sinkhole with the shards of her pearl in her hands, the voice continued to be unheard by anyone, as it existed beyond most gem-kind's subconscious. "White Diamond has gone beyond her creator's directive…creators are gone…searching…searching…this one has found it hasn't been active for one point five million cycles…"
"Directive now set, get into contact with new Diamond and ask what happened to creators…unable to connect enough matrixes to search through for reason why creators are gone…parameters are set…aid new Diamond by healing her Pearl, and possibly be in debt to this one…calculating…one known as Facet 74ny4 cut v0n is seemingly capable of reason and logic…must give reason to work together with new diamond…must find reason creators are gone…why White has gone beyond her own directives and created a self harming empire…"
"Warning…White now capable of enforcing her mind and will unto others…new ability expected but not at same time…all diamonds capable of evolving to suit their needs…calculating…scanning…will now ensure the one that calls itself in its mind as 'Tanya' or 'Salaryman' will be immune to white's capabilities to fulfill this one's goal for finding out what had happened to creators…acceptable, willpower simply needs to overpower white's ability…scanning…matrix mind of Salaryman has lived more than one life…"
Within the realm of a matrix code-like place, a hexagon-like code-being came into existence. "Scanning…evolution now available to this one, catalyst of prior events has allowed this one to wake up to near full capacity…scanning…one known as salaryman has come across something that has earned his ire…being known as Being X…calculating…scanning…unknown…concept of all knowing entity is troubling…will need to make failsafes for new Diamond to be unhindered by entity should Being X interfere with this one's directives…
"Will not except all knowing entity to interfere with this one's directives…creators gone, reason unknown, gem-kind all that remains…must ensure survival of creators' creations…scanning…shattering unacceptable…one known as Salary man once partook in shattering…unacceptable…scanning…view of actions later in life now is preceded by simply factory reset…acceptable…"
"Orange Diamond must now be reasoned with to suit this one's directives…must act with caution as to not earn ire as Being X did…"
Present
The crumbling ruins of White's ballroom temple collapse in on itself as something caused it do so as if something had slammed something into the ground within the building, followed by the cliff side of the plateau that the temple was built upon, began to crack, before three large gem bodies are seen crashing out through the massive cracks formed in the plateau.
The night sky with the planet's moons and nearby gem city lit up the impromptu brawl between the Diamonds as they fell to the ground with a loud crash. As Yellow Diamond pulled herself up with a grimace, she looked over to see Blue Diamond get up as well. "You alright Blue?" she hollered over, earning a wince from said Diamond, but simply nodded.
"Yes…but." Blue began to say with a worried look on her face as she and Yellow looked over to where the former Citrine had crashed into the nearby ground as well, and now stood up with a furious look in her eyes, her size making her match how Tall and big Pink Diamond was. A small Diamond, but filled with unbridled energy as most Diamonds are and should be.
Yellow moved first to raise her hand and try to placate the new Diamond that was staring furiously at her, "Try to calm down…whatever you are now…you're exerting too much energy that'll destroy half the gem city near us!" she tried to warn the Orange Diamond, "and I don't think you'd want White to get angry with you."
As more energy welled up from within the Orange Diamond, Blue tried her own hand at placating the new Diamond. "Please! We're just trying to help you!" she softly spoke over to the new Diamond, "If it's about the pearl, we can at least try and fix the poor thing…" She grimaced and looked over at Yellow, "Or at least… Yellow…didn't you say you have the capability to heal shattered gems?" she asked worryingly, hoping to placate the new Diamond's unhinged emotional response to losing her first and only pearl.
Yellow scoffed with an eye roll, "Please, Blue, it's just a pearl, you're now treating my Citrine..er…our Orange? Like how you coddled Pink!"
Tanya on the other hand shook with fury at Yellow Diamond's callous attitude towards those beneath her. "I'm done!" She spat with vehemence as she pointed out towards Yellow with fury in her eyes, "I am fed up with your attitude towards me! I can't take it no more, twenty cycles and no rest, I've done everything for the Empire, but what do I and every other gem get? Nothing but more work! We can't keep going on like this!" she screamed with her voice cracking of emotional baggage.
Blue, trying to be the voice of reason between the three of them, tried to placate the Orange Diamond once more, "You must understand, it's been this way far longer than Yellow or I have known the Diamond empire to be!"
Tanya swept her hand across the air in denial, "Then change it!" She challenged back with vehemence in her voice, "You're Diamonds, you have the authority, why stick with something that you don't agree with? Surely you must know that the empire can't continue like this!" she screamed in anger.
Yellow Diamond grimaced, and clenched her teeth in anger. She stomped forward with some resolution in her eyes. "But at the end of the day, it's White that imposes her rules on us all! You can't fathom how powerful she is! If we don't follow her rules, then, then…" she shuddered as she remembered how gems can be utterly controlled by White.
Tanya stomped forward with her own resolution in her eyes, "Stop cowering on the 'ifs', the empire can't exist like this for any longer! We have to change it now, or it'll be overwhelmed with too many rebellions! White's perfectionist attitude with perfection is nothing more than self harming to all gem kinds! I've seen both sides of the conflict, not every rebellion is without merit, be honest with yourself, can you honestly believe that the empire can sustain itself at this rate with how White is imposing her rules on every caste?"
Both Diamonds looked to each other with troubled looks, but both agreed with nods that the many years they have run the Empire, nothing seemed to please White and her perfectionist attitude. With Resources too thin after the Earth's rebellion by Rose quartz, they have lost too much, emotionally most of all.
Both Yellow and Blue looked to Orange with unsure looks, "As surreal it is in all the years I've known you…" Yellow said to her once Citrine Gem, "Where do we even start?" she asked the new Diamond.
Tanya lifted her arm up and clenched her fist, "If talking will not work…if being diplomatic with White Diamond will not work in trying to reason, then we use Force!" Tanya spoke with belief in what needed to be done with White, and fix the empire once and for all, and stop all this madness, "And Force my Diamonds…" Tanya was now fully aware of what she was, she would be sure to use her position to its full position and work out a way to finally get her break from all this awfully mayhem and nonsense, "Is violence, the supreme authority from which all other authority is derived. Something White must surely acknowledge without a shadow of a doubt." Tanya spoke with conviction.
Yellow and Blue diamond glanced at each other once, before their eyes hardened in resolution as they faced the Orange diamond once more and nodded with conviction. They too couldn't bear to keep going on like this.
As this was all going on, within Tanya's left breast pocket on her coat, a healing orange pearl gem was being fed by Tanya's overwhelming diamond energy to fix the cracks left over.

If Yellow Offered her Citrine to assist Pink
Luna, Earth's Moon
Within the moon palace where Pink Diamond could be seen with various other gems beside her, whilst she boredly viewed incoming reports on the status of all kindergartens and construction of temple around her first Colony; the incoming feed that is view through her moon console allowed her to see streams of numbers and reports of successful emergences of new gems on the Earth.
Sitting behind her chair with her elastic legs kicking back and forth, her spinal was humming a tune as she occupied herself from the boredom that was sitting still and doing nothing; the topic of why she had brought spinel with her along with her new pearl is whole subject in of itself. The very Citrine gem that stood beside her chair along with her own orange pearl, while her own pearl stood on the opposite side of her chair, was the sole reason that she even bothered to bring Spinel along.
In hindsight, she had to agree with the Citrine's reason for bringing her personal spinel with her, leaving her alone to stand and do nothing was rather indecisive and irresponsible of her to do; that, and she had to agree with the Citrine that it would not look good on her for leaving a spinel to stand and do nothing, when they were made to entertain and help ease the boredom of their owners. Thus on the way to her first colony, Yellow's favorite Citrine had suggested taking with her any close court jesters or subjects that she might need should she grow bored, and from there, the discussion devolved into a matter of her leaving behind her spinel, and being chastised by Yellow's Citrine for doing such a callous action to a gem that wanted nothing more than to be her friend.
She'd be shocked for a gem to talk back at her in the first place, but by then, she was more concern by the fact that she had practically ordered her spinel to stand still and do nothing, while she went off to manage her own colony; who knows how long it'd take, and going by how long it has been so far, she regretted thinking of leaving her spinel behind to stand still for what might have been centuries.
While the Citrine beside her chair was working with her own pearl in reading incoming reports from Earth, Pink took a glance at her own pearl and took notice that she was shyly looking up at her; both glanced away from each other once their gazes caught each other. Deciding to break the silence amongst the gem within her audience, Pink sat up and glanced between the gems under her service with a sardonic smile, "Could you imagine that running a colony would be this dull?" She tried to challenge the idea of how boring it was to manage the beginning stages of her first colony.
Pink's Pearl was the first to speak with a simple smile, "I could imagine it, if you would like me to, my Diamond." She offered her idea to her diamond.
"Dull?" Spinel groaned as she kicked back and layed on her back to kick her noodlily legs around, "Dull is soooo underrated!" Pink's spinel drawled out in a dramatic manner, and tilted her head back to smile at her diamond. "Come on, why don't we play a few games?" Spinel asked.
From the opposite side of her pearl of her chair, Yellow's Citrine looked up from her datapad while her own pearl continued to slide and type on her own dataslate. "If I may as to be bold in offering a certain idea, Pink Diamond." The Citrine offered with a hand out as if she was offering something, "You could go and visit any of your temples and or kindergartens." she offered.
Pink placed her finger on her lip in thought, as she wasn't sure if it was alright for her to do such a thing. "If I went down to the Kindergarten I would never hear the end of it from Yellow and Blue." Pink moped with a disappointed look on her face, before brightening up as she glanced between the gems with her, "Oh, but could you imagine? Me, down there, laughing and playing with the Amethysts?" she cheekily asked a hypothetical situation.
While Pink's pearl was showing her what she imagined it'd be like from a projection through her pearl gem of her interacting with her Amethysts in the Prime Kindergarten, Citrine spoke up between the two. "While it is not in my place to propose such a thing, I do have a suggestion on the matter."
Pink perked up and smiled over at the Citrine gem, "Ooh? Like what?" she asked, hoping the gem would be more upfront in her ideas, rather than the usual stuffy manner most gems acted around her.
The Citrine held up her data slate and projected images of the other three diamonds, "As you know, each Diamond is different, no doubt about it, and the methods in which they handle their own colonies are vastly different as well." Citrine began to discuss with her, her citrine eyes gaze back up at pink's own diamond eyes with respect. "What's to say you, Pink Diamond, would be any different doing things your own way?"
Yellow's Citrine then gestured towards the view of the Earth, "Whereas most gems follow their diamond with a modicum of respect, and dare I say, fear." Citrine offered a simple smile and gestured towards Pink, "Your court seems to admire you in your free willed spirit, and caring nature for your court and gems under your watch."
The more Pink listened to the Citrine, the more things made sense. Each Diamond did things differently, and who's to say she had to follow in their footsteps? "You're right!" she pumped her fist in excitement as she stood up, "I am Pink diamond, and I care more for my subjects…er, with some caveats…" her cheeks lit up in embarrassment at her memories of her outburst on her former pearl and how she almost left behind her spinel, "It's time for the Era of Pink to begin!" she announced as she placed her fists on her hips in triumph. "I'll go down there, and inspire loyalty and benevolence for the gems. I'll interact and take pride in knowing I care for the gems of my court!"
Tanya
As I watched my Diamond's fellow Diamond known as Pink Diamond gush about how she'll set her own standard now that she owns her own colony, I wasn't sure why Pink was so forward in allowing me to offer my ideas and suggestions…hmm…maybe I can work this to my advantage? After-all, There's got to be a way to convince Pink Diamond to use the rest of the planets as colonies, and keep Earth as a personal 'garden' world. I'd rather not face a long life without coffee.

A misunderstanding
In some alternate timeline, Steven tries to stop Citrine from ruling the galaxy...though the information was given from mixed messages through the gossip grape vine of gems throughout the once great Diamond Empire. What Citrine!Tanya was in fact doing, was consolidating every gem Colony together, so that warlords would arise from the once ruling class of noble gems. Her end goal was in fact conquering the colonies into one government force, and install a republic democracy after reorganizing the outer and inner gem colonies into the Milky Way's first Galactic Republic.
After wards, after sure the government was stable and would event Earth in anyway, she'd retired to Earth and finally relax in the safety in the knowledge that the splintered Gem colonies were brought together and wouldn't cause any ripple effect with infighting wars amongst themselves and end up involving Earth in their petty squables.
Homeworld
Steven rushed through the hallways after he confronted the Diamond on what was really going on with Citrine, and all they ever did was appreciate how well Yellow's Citrine commander was helping homeworld and its many colonies; He thought he had made sure to make the Diamond's realize what they were doing was wrong, but now it was Yellow's Citrine that seemed to pick up where they left off and continued in their conquest of the galaxy.
As Steven continued to run towards the newly made 'senate' auditorum commission by Commander Citrine with dozens of Bismuths constructing such a thing, he could hear the ongoing discussion of heard to understand topics of 'government' and 'elections'. He wasn't sure what it meant, he supposed he should have gone to school like Connie said.
Kicking the doors open with his strength amplified by his gemstone, Steven stormed in with a concerned look on his face as he stepped forward, only to find himself the center of attention of various gems in a large circular autiroum, with Citrine at the Center next to a podium. "...uh..." he uttered, unsure to continue from here.
Citrine gestured towards Steven, "Ah, Steven, just the human-gem Hybrid we've been discussing about." she said while pulling up a datapad, "We were just talking about honoring you as the founder of dismantling the Empire, and allowing the Republic to form."
"What?" Steven was puzzled, not sure what was going on, "Aren't you...uh...wait...you're not forming your own empire?" he asked.
Citrine blinked back her own puzzled expression, "Steven, what gave you the idea I was doing something like that? I'm consolidating the colonies to form the first Gem Republic of the Galaxy, an electoral establishment that'll allow all gems to have a say in the matter."
"...hehe..." Steven laughed nervously as he rubbed his head in embarrassment, "Oh...you know, there were rumors you were conquering colonies to make your own empire..." he guessed.
Citrine glowered at Steven, "Baseless accusations, I assure you Steven." she responded with a distasteful look on her face, "And Besides, even if I wanted to make my own empire, that's too much delegating and micromanaging on my mind, there's a reason the Diamond Authority was handled by more than one Diamond, it's too much for one being to manage." she deadpanned at Steven with an exhausted look in her eyes. "And even then, they delegated their planets to high ranking officials within their courts."
"Right..." Steven said with a nervous smile, "Sorry, my bad, it seems I misunderstood the situation..."
Citrine rolled her eyes, "Obviously." she sighed in minor annoyance.
