Hello! I'm so sorry for the delay. I wrote the prologue during my vacations and real world stuff got hold of me for a while. I also wanted to thank you guys for the support. It really means a lot to me. Anyways, onwards with the chapter!

Many of you who read the first chapter might have thought that it was too similar to Uchiha Potter's first chapter. This is a rewrite so in the beginning, a few things will be similar to Uchiha Potter, but it will differentiate as the story progresses on.

For those of you who are wondering, there is a 5-year difference between Harry and Itachi, 6 years between Itachi and Sasuke, and 1 year between Sasuke and Harry. So Harry is basically Neji's age. Harry is also 8 years old during the time of the massacre.

This fanfiction is a rewrite of Chosha Kurenai's Uchiha Potter.

I do not own Harry Potter or Naruto. They are owned by J.K. Rowling and Masashi Kishimoto respectively.

Seven Years Later

Konohagakure no Sato. Many would say that the village was in it's prime, and the others would agree. The village had suffered from the attack of the Kyūbi no Yōko, and death of their Yondaime Hokage, and even though it had taken them several years to recover, the village was flourishing better than ever before.

It was in one of the main marketplaces that our protagonist was lying in an ambush, waiting for his prey. And said prey showed up in the form of an innocent, unsuspecting, villager with one of those forgettable faces.

Harry watched as the victim of his next prank walked down an alley, and took a turn, only to trip over a rope. The villager's only warning was the sounds of a thud, a ruffle, and the sound of rushing liquid. A moment later, the victim was drenched in a bucket's worth of glue, and covered with multicoloured feathers, making it looked like a rainbow had puked on a human-shaped ball of feathers.

The scarred boy giggled at the sight of the poor person as he was tried to walk around without bashing his head on every wall and pole on the street, keyword being 'tried'.

He was going through ideas for his next pranks as the villagers around tried to make sense as to why there was an giant rainbow-chicken in their midst. 'What should I go for next? I guess that time that the ANBU HQ was painted pink was funny, but I doubt I can sneak past ANBU…..I wonder who did that?'

Harry's musing was interrupted by a rumble that seemed to come from right behind him. Recognizing the sound, he gulped and turned around to face his exasperated uncle, Uchiha Fugaku.

"If I don't find you at home in 10 minutes, you will be a pile of ash before you can say 'Gōkakyū no Jutsu'!" he all but growled.

Taking another involuntary gulp, he sped off towards the direction of the Uchiha Compound, knowing that his Uncle might make true on his threat. He arrived to the mansion of the Uchiha Clan Head in record time where he caught his breath and obediently waited for his uncle to arrive.

He didn't actually live at the mansion. That was not to say he was not welcome there, quite the opposite actually. He was close to both of Fugaku's sons who were his second cousins. Apparently, Fugaku's aunt who had left the Elemental Nations and went beyond to the 'Outer World' was Harry's paternal grandmother.

Itachi played the role of an elder brother, while Sasuke was like a younger brother to him. Harry was quite close to Sasuke as their situations were very similar; Itachi was being groomed for the position of Clan Head and he had also joined the ANBU, and as much as he wanted to, could not find as much time to spend with his brothers as he wanted. Harry could also connect with Sasuke on a lot of things. Fugaku had always picked Itachi over them, one of the reasons being that he had mastered their clan's Kekkei Genkai; they had not unlocked the Sharingan yet, while Itachi had mastered it when he was Harry's age.

Speaking of the man, he was now standing in front of the man, disappointment clear on the Uchiha Clan Head's expression.

"Do you have any idea what you're doing?! Wasting your skills on foolish pranks! No wonder you haven't unlocked your Sharingan yet." Fugaku growled. Harry cringed at that. "Itachi had already activated the Sharingan when he was your age! Not only that, you're my nephew, you're supposed to be representing the clan. Keep going like that, and you won't even be able to become a genin! Now I should not find you doing another one of those senseless pranks again, or you will receive severe punishment. Do you understand?"

"Hai Oji-sama." Harry mumbled as he looked down.

Fugaku stormed out the door. Harry stuck out his tongue at the door, where his uncle was just a moment ago. 'Stupid Oji-sama, always comparing us to Itachi-itoko…' Harry grumbled mentally about stupid uncles and their stupid obsessions with stupid bloodlines as he made his way to one of the Uchiha Training Grounds.

Harry sighed as he sat down.

"So, what did you do this time to piss the old man off so much?" came the familiar voice of Uchiha Shisui. He wore a short-sleeved high-neck t-shirt with the Uchiha clan crest on the back and similar coloured pants. He also wore a tantō on his back, and the harness for his tantō ran across his chest and fastened over both shoulders.

"Tou-san was quite irritable today," added Itachi, a short smile resting on his face.

Shisui, though another second cousin by birth, was like a second elder brother to Harry. It was meant to be though. Their personalities were quite the same; Both of them were laid-back individuals and deviated from the classic 'Uchiha-ness', would give their lives for the village they loved without a second thought, and were also firm believers in the Will of Fire. Their interests were similar as well. Heck, they even looked so similar that Shisui could have passed for Harry's elder brother.

"Did you prank someone?" asked Shisui. Upon seeing Harry nod his grin widened. "What did you do? Come on, tell me!"

"Don't encourage this, Shisui!" chided Itachi. "You know, you've got a good head on your shoulders, Harry. And you aren't lacking in the abilities department either. If you simply trained harder, I have no doubt that you could take an early graduation too."

"I know, but it won't matter to Oji-sama until I've unlocked my Sharingan. And even when I do, he'll still just compare me and Sasuke-itoko to you…." Harry grumbled.

"Ma, don't worry about it," said Shisui. "Tell you what, even without the Sharingan, I think that you can surpass both me and the prodigy over there." Itachi frowned at his nickname. Harry grinned.

"Yeah, that's more like it! Brooding doesn't suit you, Harry, that's Itachi-chan's job." Itachi sighed at that.

"See! We actually managed to get a reaction out of him! Today's just full of surprises, isn't it?" Shisui managed to get a chuckle out of Harry.

"Ano, Itoko…. Can you help me with training today?" Harry asked hopefully.

"I'm afraid we can't. Our break is almost over." Shisui ruffled Harry's hair, which made him pout.

"I suppose we could help you and ototō in training tomorrow. Does that sound good?" Itachi offered, as he tapped the younger Uchiha's forehead with his index and middle fingers outstretched. Harry brightened up at that.

"Yeah that sounds great! On that note, I should probably find Sasuke-itoko. I promised him I'd help him with the Gōkakyū no Jutsu. See you guys!" he waved at that the two as he exited the Training Grounds.

Shisui sighed as he drowned himself in his thoughts. "Every time I see those three… I won't allow the clan's schemes to destroy things like this. Pride and arrogance, that was what lost me-" Shisui shook his head to clear himself of the thoughts of his long gone friend. The three tomoe in his activated sharingan began to shift into a four-pointed pinwheel for just a second before reverting back. "No matter what I have to resort to, I have to put a stop to this!"

"Shisui! It's time," Itachi called out, to which Shisui replied with a nod.

The two prodigies put on their ANBU masks simultaneously, and body flickered out of the training ground.

Harry had found Sasuke at another one of the Uchiha Training Grounds. The first half of it was a normal training ground- a grassy field, surrounded by a few trees. However, on the other side of it was a huge lake, with a small wooden wharf that connected it to the ground. This training ground was one at which they had practiced the Gōkakyū no Jutsu, which was a coming of age rite in the Uchiha Clan. When a clan member was able to perform the jutsu, they were recognized as an adult within the clan and were permitted to wear the Uchiha crest on their clothes.

Harry had completed this ritual last week; Shisui had been ecstatic, and the entire family had gone for a celebration, and Harry swore he had seen Fugaku had smile for a second. Sasuke, being the only one to not be able to complete the exercise, had been a bit down on that day until Harry promised to help him in the use of the Grand Fireball.

"Yo Sasuke!" Harry greeted loudly.

"Itoko," Sasuke returned the greeting.

"So, ready to master the Gōkakyū no Jutsu?" asked Harry.

"You bet I am!" replied Sasuke eagerly. "I've completed the exercise you told me about."

To emphasize on this point, he picked up a leaf from under one of the nearby trees, and clasped his hands together around the leaf, and stuck his tongue out in concentration. A few moments later, he opened his palms to reveal that the leaf was charred.

Harry let out a whistle. "I'm impressed. To be able to complete the exercise in just under a month…."

"But I wasn't able to do it as fast as nii-san or you….." Sasuke said, looking downcast.

"It's different for both of us, Sasuke. My affinity for fire is abnormal, even for an Uchiha." Harry told the younger Uchiha. Upon seeing Sasuke's puzzled expression, he elaborated. "You see, Sasuke, everyone has an affinity for one of the five chakra natures. People have an easier time controlling and mastering a nature they have an affinity for. Moreover, elemental jutsu are stronger when they match your affinity. Although, that doesn't mean that they aren't able to use other chakra natures. It's simply harder for them to master an element for which they do not possess an affinity for.

"All Uchiha are known to have an affinity for fire. I have an incredibly strong affinity for fire, even for an Uchiha." Uchiha Fugaku's nephew picked up a leaf and clasped it in the middle of his hands, akin to how Sasuke had done it before. Seconds later he opened his palms, to reveal not a black and burnt leaf, but a searing pile of ash.

"While a dominant fire affinity means that my Katon jutsu are going to be powerful, I'll have a hard time learning jutsus of other natures." Harry completed his explanation.

"But back to the Gōkakyū," Harry changed the topic. "The seals for the jutsu in order are Snake, Ram, Monkey, Boar, Horse, and Tiger. Next, you've got to expel fire chakra through your mouth as a constant stream. Don't use too much at once. That's what the chakra control exercises were for. If you do that, you could scorch your throat badly, or cause permanent damage to your voice box." Harry warned in a dangerous tone.

"I'll show you how it's done once, okay?" Harry offered. Running through hand seals at a pace where Sasuke could see them, Harry called out, "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"

Harry felt the familiar warm feeling of kneading fire chakra in his body, and took a deep breath. He then breathed out a gigantic ball of fire that stretched out over the lake and blinded the training ground in colours of reddish-orange.

Panting from the exertion of the jutsu, he turned to his younger cousin. "Now you try," said Harry.

Sasuke nodded, not even trying to hide the look of awe on his eight-year old face. He then ran through the hand seals he was shown and called out, "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" The Uchiha Clan Head's youngest son took in a deep breath and proceeded to breath out a fireball the size of his closed fist that remained stable for about a second, before turning to smoke that covered his face, making him erupting into fits of coughing.

Sasuke heard the sound of snickering coming from his older cousin. He turned around, soot-covered cheeks burning with embarrassment, and the expression of child-like annoyance on his face. "Itoko, stop laughing!"

Harry was in tears, and Sasuke's pouting and exclaiming for him to stop at once was not helping. Once Harry's laughter had died down, he turned to face Sasuke. "That was actually pretty good for your first try," he admitted. "Keep practicing."

Harry looked on with bated breath as Fugaku stood beside him, an emotionless expression on his face, as he watched his youngest son stand on the pier of the lake forming the seals for their clan's signature jutsu. Itachi was standing on his other side, watching his youngest brother just as intently, if not more, than his father. However, unlike Fugaku, he wasn't judging him. He had taken time out of his-too busy, in Harry's opinion-schedule, and had come to watch his brother, and that was enough to motivate his younger brother's spirits.

Shisui, however, was not there. He was off on a mission-again- Harry reminded himself. He was around even less than Itachi, and that was saying something. Due to his reputation as Shunshin no Shisui, he was sent on a lot of high-ranked missions and could not make a lot of time to spend with Harry.

But back to Sasuke.

They both had trained together for about a week and a half, after which Sasuke's fireball had grown to a desirable size, and it was then they had revealed to Fugaku the results of their training. Results which Fugaku was here to see.

Sasuke raised two fingers to his mouth, molded the chakra required to execute his jutsu and took in a deep breath.

"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"

He released the breath he was holding in and proceeded to exhale a fireball that was almost half the size of one of the trees in the outskirts of Konoha. Granted, it wasn't very huge like Itachi's, or searing hot like Harry's, but it was quite impressive for a seven year old.

Panting from the drain that the jutsu had taken on his seven-year-old chakra reserves, he turned to Itachi and Fugaku, inspecting their reactions.

His nii-san smiled, eyes twinkling with a mix of pride and delight. His father, however, simply turned around and started walking away from the pier.

Sasuke's face fell at that; He had tried so hard to earn his father's acknowledgement, but he had failed again. Tears threatened to spill from his eyes, but they widened as he heard his father's next words.

"That's my boy," Fugaku had stopped right at the edge of the pier. "Keep working like that and you're bound to soar high. You've earned the honor to wear the Uchiha crest on your back."

"H-hai! I will," said Sasuke, voice dripping with emotion.

The Uchiha Clan Head regarded Harry with a satisfied look. "It's good that you've taken my words to heart, nephew. Keep going like that and you might have a place in our clan after all."

Harry nodded but mentally, he was quite surprised. Fugaku had praised both him and Sasuke?! He looked over to his younger brother, whose expression tended to rival one of a certain blond boy's.

Itachi was happy for both of his younger brothers, having earned what they had desired for a long time. His thoughts took a darker turn though; The council was growing restless and wanted immediate results. If things kept going the way they were, he would have to- He shook his head. Shisui still had that.

His pondering was interrupted by a sound of a crow cawing. More specifically, one of his crows; Sasuke and Harry were too absorbed in their celebration to notice. Itachi could feel it getting restless by the moment, and he could only come to one conclusion: Something bad had happened and he was needed. He would have to ditch his little brothers one again.

"Nii-san!" Sasuke called out. He looked over to see if his little brother looking at him with eyes full of excitement and expectation. His nii-san had taken time off ANBU to come watch him perform the rite of passage. Itachi's heart clenched as he told them that he wouldn't be able to make it to his celebration.

What made it worse was that Fugaku and Mikoto couldn't come either. There was another clan meeting that Itachi had ignored. He had wanted to spend time with his little brothers rather than plot ways on how to take over the village.

A poke on the forehead with his first two fingers outstretched. Right on Sasuke's, left on Harry's.

"Forgive me, you two. Maybe next time."

Sasuke massaged his forehead as he grumpily looked over to Itachi. "You always say that….."

"But definitely next time, right?" Harry questioned with a sceptical look.

"Definitely." Itachi replied. "Who knows? Maybe I could teach both of you a fire jutsu now that you can do the Gōkakyū,"

Their faces lit up in excitement at the prospect of learning a new jutsu. They waved him goodbye, and walked away, rapidly chatting away about fire jutsus and which one of them would first activate the Sharingan.

Itachi internally chuckled bitterly. Empty promises, that's all they would be. He didn't ponder on it further- He would have a lot of time to do that later. For now though, he was required. He shunshined out of the training ground.

Harry walked with his hands behind his head, while Sasuke did it with his hands in his pockets.

"So, where do you wanna go eat?" asked Harry.

"You can choose anywhere, I don't mind. Anywhere but dango though." He added the last part quickly. "I wouldn't be surprised if you turned out to be more dango than human at this point."

Harry chuckled. "Ramen it is then."

Sasuke shot Harry a mock glare. It was ruined by the small smile on his face and Harry's laughter, which he joined in a moment later.

"Where are we going then?" asked Sasuke.

"It's this stand called Ichiraku Ramen. I swear the ramen they make there is almost as dango." He told Sasuke.

They reached the ramen stand in a few minutes. "One pork and tomato ramen, please!" Harry gave their order.

"Coming!" replied the chef, Teuchi.

It was then that Harry located a familiar figure. "Hokage-ojisan!"

The aged Village Leader turned around and greeted his surrogate grandson. Harry and the old Hokage were very close, to the point where he treated him as his grandson and let him refer to himself as oji-san or jiji, a privilege which was enjoyed by only one other, who just happened to be gobbling ramen right beside him.

"Ah, I don't think I've introduced you two, have I?" Sarutobi asked out loud. "Naruto," the blonde looked over to his surrogate grandfather. "Meet Uchiha Harry. Harry, this is Uzumaki Naruto."

"Uchiha? So you're related to the teme?" Naruto asked loudly.

"I'm sitting right here, dobe," Sasuke called out irritably at being referred to as teme.

"Oh, so you've met?" Harry asked curiously.

"Yeah, I've had the misfortune of knowing him. He's just a dobe though," Sasuke said haughtily, before being bopped on the head by Harry.

"Sasuke, be nice," Harry chided.

Naruto fumed at being referred to as a no-name dobe. He'd show them, dammit! "I'm no dobe! My name's Uzumaki Naruto, and I'm gonna be the Hokage, believe it!" he yelled.

"Nice to meet you, Naruto," said Harry with an outstretched hand. "My name's Uchiha Harry. Nice to meet you, future Hokage."

Naruto's eyes widened in surprise. He'd expected the boy to scoff at his dream or say something mean; He was related to the teme and was a part of that stuck-up clan, but he definitely did not expect this! He couldn't detect any sort of negative emotions from him either. He'd always been able to do that. A side-effect of the Kyūbi sealed inside of him, although he didn't know that. He genuinely believed that Naruto could become the Hokage! No one outside of the Hokage, the Ichiraku couple and Iruka believed he could achieve his dream.

He took the older boy's outstretched hand and shook it with vigor, joy clear on his expression with not one of his fake smiles, but with a genuine one. Harry was quite happy to meet the younger boy too. He figured that since oji-san liked the boy, he couldn't be a bad person. He didn't have that many friends around his age either.

The Hokage on his part was happy for Naruto. The boy had managed to make some friends, something which he had desired for a very long time. They chatted away, with the Hokage adding a few thoughts and even Sasuke commenting here and there.

A few hours later, they bid each other goodbye, and Harry elected to train for a while, to which Sasuke agreed. Improving their taijutsu forms, perfecting their shuriken throws, and even working on the Gōkakyū no Jutsu, they burned through the evening and lost track of time. It was when Sasuke noticed the stars out in the elect to go back to the compound. Harry agreed, although he could feel the knot in his stomach. He had a gut feeling that something was going to go very wrong. Chalking it up to excessive training, he made his way to the compound with Sasuke.

It was later that he would realize how very wrong he was.

The walk to the compound was eerie. The streets were ghosted and not a single human was present in sight. As they neared the gates of the compound, they noticed the guards were rolled over, asleep.

"Itoko, what is this? They're not supposed to be asleep…" Sasuke mumbled as he looked over the two 'asleep' gate guards. Harry walked over to one of them and rolled them over, possibly to wake them up, but gasped as he saw the Uchiha's slit throat.

He looked over to Sasuke, whose eyes were as wide as saucers, as he pointed to be kunai buried in the other guard's neck. Harry pulled Sasuke over to him protectively. "Stay close to me, Sasuke. The perpetrator might be nearby." Harry whispered. He had to keep his little brother safe, no matter what.

Sasuke nodded shakily. They walked stealthily, as stealthy as they could be that is, and turned a corner. The sight would haunt them for years to come.

The metallic scent of blood assaulted his nose and bile rose up his throat at the sight in front of him. Blood and bodies littered the street. Kunai pierced the larynx of one of his uncles, one of his older cousins lay dead from a slash wound to the chest, and he could make out a charred corpse on the side of the road. He felt a tug on where his grip on Sasuke was, who had started bolting down the streets towards the main house.

"Tou-san! Kaa-san!" he screamed.

"Sasuke, hold on! Wait!"

Harry's warning fell on deaf ears as Sasuke reached the gate of his house. Slamming open the gate he ran into the house. Harry ran as fast as he could after him, and he grabbed his shoulder.

Pressing a finger onto Sasuke's lips, he motioned towards the living room. On a normal day, Fugaku would be sitting there, drinking tea, while Mikoto would either be knitting or working in the kitchen.

Sasuke raised a trembling hand and opened the door. Blood littered the floor of his home; With a kunai embedded in her heart, and his back slashed open, Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha lay dead on the cold wooden floor.

Harry felt a few tears drop and choked a sob as he looked over the corpses of the two people that had raised him as a baby, the two people that were practically his own parents. Sasuke was bawling his eyes out on the floor.

It was then that Harry noticed a familiar shadow in the room. "Itachi-itoko!"

Sasuke looked up towards his older brother. "Nii-san! Tou-san and Kaa-san are….. Who did this?!" he asked. Whoever did this, they would pay. His nii-san was here now, he would protect them!

The clouds shifted as moonlight entered the room and Itachi's visage became more visible. Clad in his ANBU uniform, emotionless expression, and the clan's dōjutsu swirling in his eyes, Uchiha Itachi stood over the dead bodies of his parents. But the change of light didn't reveal just that.

He held in his hands a sword. A sword covered in his parents' blood.

A shuriken flew from his hand that cut Sasuke's arm, as he sheathed his sword.

Disbelief rose in him as he asked shakily, "Y-you did this?!"

"Yes." He replied in a cold monotone, completely devoid of expression.

"Why?!" Sasuke yelled. "Why?! This isn't like you nii-san! I mean…"

"To measure my potential."

"That's it?! You killed everyone just for that… you monster!" Harry snarled.

Itachi turned towards Sasuke and his Sharingan whirled faster and the tomoes connected and formed a three-pronged shuriken. He whispered something, and a moment later Sasuke screamed as though he was on fire. His shrieks died down to whimpers as he lay on the floor.

"What did you do to him?!" Harry screamed.

Why don't I show you?" came the monotonous reply. He whispered something again, although this time, Harry caught it.

"Mangekyō Sharingan: Tsukuyomi!"

The sky shifted to a deep shade of blood red as the clouds and the full moon became black. Sasuke, Itachi and Fugaku and Mikoto's bodies vanished as the world shifted around him.

"W-What is going on?!"

"Welcome to my world, the world of Tsukuyomi," replied the monotonous voice that Harry had now come to despise. "This is one of the powers of the Mangekyō Sharingan. In this world, from the mass of objects to even time and space, I control everything.

"For the next 72 hours, you will be under my control, however, only a moment shall pass in the real world. Now watch, foolish little cousin…."

The world shifted again and he stood in the middle of one of the streets of the Uchiha Compound. Cold realization gripped him and he tried to close his eyes, and raise his hands to his ears to block out both senses of sight and sound.

He found he could not move a single limb, and his eyes were permanently open. He was forced to watch as Itachi killed them swiftly and moved onto the next one. A slash at the throat here, slashing open the back of another there. He watched Itachi slaughter his clan like pigs.

His eyes widened as he reached Fugaku and Mikoto's room.

"N-No, please…. don't….." he whimpered but it fell on deaf ears.

Fugaku's expression of shock and Mikoto's scream burned themselves into his senses. He broke down on the ground sobbing and howling in mental pain. Itachi's cold voice then spoke, "71 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds to go."

He shrieked in pain and copied Sasuke's actions as he lay down on the floor.

He heard Sasuke speak next to him in a weak voice, "Are you going to kill us?"

"No. I am not going to kill you. You have the potential to be my opponent. Both of you could be able to use the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan like me."

"M-Mangekyō-?" Harry stammered out.

"To obtain it, however, you must kill your closest friend." Both of the younger Uchihas' eyes widened at that. "…. Just like I did….."

Harry's entire body went rigid as he made an effort to stand up. "…No… you didn't…. you killed Shisui?"

"That's right… and because of that obtained these eyes."

Harry sank to his knees in despair.

"If you attain these eyes, then you two will be the two people to utilize the Mangekyō Sharingan after myself, the second wielder of these eyes. However….. Right now, you are not worth killing.

"Foolish little brothers…. if you wish to kill me, hate me, resent me. And survive in obscurity… Run, run, and cling to life… And one day, when you have the same eyes as I do, come and stand before me!"

Harry felt his mouth open to unimaginable extent and a feathers as black as the moon of Tsukuyomi fell down on the floor. He felt a strange pressure on his left eye for a second, before it disappeared. He fell down on the floor once more, and the two boys embraced unconsciousness.

Itachi allowed himself a few seconds to mourn; Tears fell from his eyes, and he spoke in a soft tone, "Stay safe, both of you."

Phew! Okay, that's done. 4,900 words! Before you guys ask me, no Harry does not have Kotoamatsukami now and the crow does not affect anything until very late in the series.
