Faith shook her head, she knew this man's name. It started with 'B but that was all she remembered, other than the fact that she had taken him to the bliss before. She twirled her frizzy hair and took a breath. She was anxious to be interrogated, there was nothing she had to say about the project. She knew she was the most faithful to the project but she had her doubts and fears, she saw that previous faiths were killed for 'betraying the project. Her thoughts cut short when she heard the thumps of boots.
The man walked in with a bottle in each hand, he tossed over a bottle to faith, but her reaction time was so slow that the bottle smacked her face, her head tilted back upon impact but it didn't hurt her. The man had a small grin on his face as he took a seat.
"Okay, since it's getting late I'll ask you a few questions, okay."
Faith stared at him her eyes red from her lack of sleep. "fine, but can you tell me your name?"
"Bruce, Bruce Wayne is my name, and no not the guy who's Batman," he answered chuckling and holding his hand out to shake hers. "Okay since we both know each other now, I'll ask you a question that Ari, Joe and I wanted to ask from the beginning, which is, do you guys have any secret weapons like anti-air, mines and so on and so forth?"
Faith stared blankly at him before answering "not really, all I know is that bliss is our manipulation device."
"Oh, then do you know anything else about the project," Bruce said uncapping the bottle.
Faith once again went blank, she looked at the iron bars and then back at Bruce "well I know that the father fears your friend Ari."
"He what, since when?" Bruce said nearly choking on water.
"Didn't you guys know that Ari came to Montana a while back, say about a year ago? Well he came here and messed up the father, I don't know how but Ari basically got the father bowing down to him"
"Did he do some messed up things here?" Bruce said intrigued by the topic.
"I'm not too sure, I was busy on my own projects to be bothered by them. But since then the father was paranoid of Ari."
"Intriguing," Bruce said getting off his chair "that's all I'll bother you for now, but a quick question did Jacob escape when we were raided, and do you think Ari is still alive or captured?"
"Ari is definitely still alive and Jacob literally jumped the window when you charged that door," Faith brushed her hair behind her ears "Oh and here's something to get you thinking, Ari was actually AIDING the PEGGIES, he was supposed to arrest the father but he ended up murdering his own team and I would suppose he blamed the cult for their deaths."
"Son of a bitch, I knew he was insane," Bruce said walking out the door he turned around to face her one last time his face was slightly lit up by the night sky and faith could see that he was annoyed, Bruce closed and locked the door. "Okay good night, get some sleep, you look like absolute shit, kiddin'." He said before walking away into the dark hallway.
That went better than expected faith thought since she saw Bruce as the tough and arrogant guy. But now he seems like a chill and nice guy.
Joe and Mary were locked and loaded, "ready for a clean water act," Joe said nudging Mary's shoulder. She nudged him back and nodded, they hopped into a Ute with Joe taking the wheel.
"Shouldn't we bring a few other people with us?" Mary asked buckling her seat belt.
Joe stared at her in confusion, "What are you, scared?" He replied reaching into his pockets to pull out two protein bars, "want one" he asked holding out his hand.
"Sure," She said gratefully taking the bar.
Joe started up the engine and started to drive, he took a bite out of his protein bar, the flavours of chocolate and mint filled his mouth. He peered over to Mary and saw that she was reading the ingredient label, Joe knew she had allergies to some chemicals in tattoos and the PEGGIES had to remove Marys tattoo since it caused it problems. Marys past scared Joe he heard stories of what had happened, such as her killing her own brother since he was with the PEGGIES. When Joe realised Mary was staring back at him he hastily looked back at the road, he assumed they were at least 12 Nautical miles away, Joe knew that he should use Miles but he as a pilot was used to Nautical Miles.
Joe pressed his head hard against the headrest of the seat, he started to feel anxious for no reason, Mabey it was that he was worried for Mary but he knew for a fact that she was way stronger than he was, mentally and physically. He needed something to get away from his thoughts so he looked outside and saw a friendly plane whirl past them he wished he was up there flying, he really missed sitting in the cockpit and the thrill of flying an F-22 raptor.
"Hey, Mary so how are you going?" Joe said still staring at the road.
"Good, what about you?" She glared at him surprised.
"Miss flying planes," Joe said staring at her with a slight frown, "When this all ends how about I take you on a flight with me" He looked back at the road.
"Wait, you as the pilot, or as in we leave Montana."
"I'll be the pilot I don't think we have an airport here other than the Rye airstrip and Seeds airstrip."
"I mean we could leave this state with one of the aircrafts we have here." Mary started to shuffle back on her seat to straighten her back.
"Yes, yes we could," Joe said "So I assume you would enjoy a flight, so it's settled once this all ends we shall fly" Joe's smile grew to a point where his lips stretched to his eyes.
"But you better not do stunts, I have a slight fear of heights"
"Well I'll get you to overcome them," Joe said eyeing the water plant, "We're here get ready"
Joe moved the UTE to the side of the road he pulled out his new A-99 excited to finally use it. "Mary do this stealthy, okay" She nodded and pulled out her silenced pistol. The two sneakily ran along the fence to the opening, Joe pulled out his binocs and saw about 15 PEGGIES, there was one about 20 studs away from them and most of the Peggies were grouped up in the middle, Joe assumed the furthest Peggie was at least 150 studs. "Okay, I'll take this one out you take out the one to the right" Mary once again nodded and aimed towards the peggies head, she waited for Joe to take out the first guy. Joe grabbed the Peggies head and snapped their neck as soon as he did mary took a shot, blood squirted out of the man's head as he fell to his knees.
Joe gestured Mary to head to the left and he took the right, the two were persistent and were hastily taking out the enemies within a minute it went from 15 to 5, 3 on Joe's side and 2 on Marys, Joe wanted to speed things up so he finally used his A-99 he shot his first target's head they squealed and fell, the A-99 had a fast rate of fire, unlike the degul he had before. By the time Joe killed his second Mary was already done her side and had already killed the last man. 'She's persistent' he thought.
30 minutes later...
An hour passed and Joe and Mary were finishing up the last few waves of enemies, they shut down the bliss supplies getting into the water and now they both are begging that freshwater is filtered.
The two-headed back to the UTE, joyous of their victory, now they had to try and find supplies, Lindsey had put down a location for them to visit, it contained a bunker hidden somewhere. Joe once again started the engine and asked Mary if she knew where the location was, she took a long glance and nodded, "If we drive fast we'll be there within an hour. She said handing the small paperback to Joe.
The car started to move and Mary directed Joe, and like she said they got there in an hour, they followed up a little dirt road to a little cabin it was a bit smaller than Ari's, they both jumped out of the ute and knocked on the door making sure they weren't stealing from someone. After 3 minutes no one replied so they decided to scout the area, Mary went inside the cabin to check things out, while Joe looked around the area and found a small shack that was big enough to fit a little hatch to a bunker, so he decided to check it out, and like he thought there was a little hatch that had a ladder leading down to darkness.
Joe took out his flashlight and climbed down, the bunker was fairly large, and Joe found the light switch, the lights flickered and then made a noise when turned on. Joe entered through the door and was greeted by 2 bunk beds and a little lamp on the corner, he walked straight and found the bathroom which had a medkit and a couple of pills, He found what he assumed was the longe room there was a couch with large boxes on it, and on the corners, there were more boxes, Joe peeked into one and saw a load of cans, cans of baked beans.
Joe hastily moved each box by the bunker beds, once he was finished he looked around for anything interesting he found a leather duffle bag, still in good condition so he grabbed it he threw in the meds he found earlier and threw in his AKM and AK-47 so he didn't need to carry around his heavier guns. Nothing else was interesting so Joe didn't touch anything else. He climbed up the hatch to ask Mary if she found anything, he walked inside and saw her frantically searching the area, Joe could see a small pile of supplies by the couch, canned foods, water, meds and ammo. Joe Tossed the supplies into his new duffle but left one can of soup out, so he and Mary could eat it before they load up.
Mary finally finished searching the area, she walked up to Joe "You found anything" She asked panting.
"Mary, the hell were you doing that your so tired, sit down I'm making some soup since we haven't eaten today, other than that protein bar," Joe said, carrying the can to the kitchen. "Oh and the bunker is a literal gold mine, it was loaded with bottled water and canned foods. Unfortunately no ammo or weapons." He said trying to find a saucepan, when he did he placed it on the cooktop and poured in the vegetable soup little chunks of carrots and other veggies oozed out with the liquid. Joe turned on the heat to low and let the food heat.
"Okay once we eat let's load up the Ute and then head to the prison do we have ropes that can hold the boxes."
"Yea, I loaded some at the back seat of the Ute," Mary said getting on her feet.
The two stood there glaring at each other it was like they were having a conversation just by looking at the eyes of each other. When Joe smelt the aroma of Veggie soup he quickly found two bowls and spoons. He turned off the heat and poured half and half into each bowl. He handed one to Mary and both went to sit on the couch. Joe was famished which led him to hastily finish his meal.
By the time the two finished their meal the sun was about to set, so they both placed their dishes in the sink and headed off towards the bunker.
"So what's your story?" Joe asked climbing down the hatch.
Mary stood still think of what to say "My story, I guess I could say I cant wait for all this to end"
Joe handed a box over to Mary, "Yeah, me too but I'm more excited to get some rest"
Mary smiled and took the box, she walked over to the ute and loaded it on the back, the two went back and forth passing and loading the supplies into the ute, within an hour they had all the boxes loaded at the back and roped up so nothing fell off.
"You know what, we make a good team," Joe said tossing in the leather duffle into the back seat of the ute.
"Yeah, who knew you were actually a persistent and hark worker" Mary said teasingly hopping into the passenger seat of the ute.
"It's either because I'm here with you or I've matured over the past few months." Joe's voice shook, as he got into the driver's seat.
Mary glared at Joe and then replied "You really have matured, before you were all about jokes, and it honestly was annoying, but at the same time I loved it. You were the one who made me happy after days worth of helping and serving the people. But not only did you help me you help countless people. But now you still mess around but still know when to be serious."
Joe couldn't help but smile, not the joking playful ones but a genuine one. "I'm honestly lost for words, but I sure can say three things, I love you."
Mary sat there frozen, "I, Love you, too" she stammered.
There was silence, the two glared at each other Mary's face reddened. Joe placed his right hand on her cheek and caressed it, and then they both leaned in and pressed their lips against each other.
They both pulled out and Joe started the car. "First time you kissed me," He said grinning.
"No we've kissed on that 'so-called date'' Mary replied
"You passed out on my arms, remember?" Joe said.
"Must have been a dream then?" Mary said twiddling her thumb.
"Oh, so you dream about me" Joe teased,
"Oh, shut up." Mary snapped.
Joe laughed as they exited the dirt road and now heading towards the prison.
Even though Bruce was meant to be in his cell recovering from his injury he decided to help out around the prison, he helped out by guarding the walls even though he had one good arm, he still used his desert eagle, he might not be the best shot, but Bruce thought it was worth a go. Bruce also was tasked to check up on Faith to make sure she had food, water, and personal hygiene requirements like showering and being able to brush he teeth. But the one task Bruce hated was lunch duty, which was where he had to help out the cooks and serve survivors food. He liked the feeling of helping others but after a while, the job gets boring but a jobs a job. Bruce did buy some clothes, shoes and a sports duffle bag to put his things into.
But at the moment Bruce was on break and working on himself, he did one-hundred squats, and then twenty situps but his shoulder ached too much so he had to stop, instead, Bruce started to work on his legs and abdomen. Since his shoulder didn't ache, he did a minute's worth of Russian twists and then ended it with one-hundred jumping squats. By the time he finished he was lying on his bed covered in sweat, Bruce sat up and grabbed his water bottle he took a large gulp and started to worry about Joe and Mary, he knew the two were strong but Bruce always tended to overthink situations. He looked out the window to see that the sun was setting and it would probably be a good time for him to throw on some new clothes and have a shower.
Bruce looked under his bed and took out his new duffle bag, he had filled it with gun magazines in the side compartments, and clothes in the large compartment. Since the temperature was dropping Bruce took out a black pair of trackies, a black tee, and a lite zip-up jacket that was black in colour, he also grabbed his pair of black sneakers. Bruce took out his towel that laid at the corner of his bed. Bruce walked down the hallway towards the shower room, he opened the door and saw there were 4 shower stalls in each isle and he also realised that no one was inside, but no one ever did use this shower room though, since Faith was in the prison they didn't want to cause any trouble so they all made the middle section of the prison off-limits. Bruce started the shower and as soon as the water hit him he started to count to four minutes, he didn't want to waste any water and he also knew that longer showers are bad for the skin.
Bruce was finished by the time he got to three, he wiped his body and then threw on his clothes making sure he doesn't mess up his right shoulder. Bruce then proceeded to find the mirror where he spent about thirty minutes trying to perfect it, it was his prized possession and he didn't want to ruin it. After he was satisfied with his hair he opened the door and walked back to his cell, He tossed his towel on his bed and folded his old clothes and set them to the corner of the bed. Bruce went over to check on Faith who was under her covers sleeping, Bruce was going to ask if she wanted anything but he didn't want to disturb her. So he went to the bottom floor of the prison to see if Joe and Mary had come back.
Bruce didn't see either Joe or Mary so he decided to ask around, he asked the Sheriff first, who hadn't seen the two, Bruce then proceeded to ask Lindsey who also hadn't seen the two. Bruce couldn't bother asking anyone else so he went to the front wall and just sat there waiting for his friends to return. The sun was basically sitting on the top of the mountain peering down at everyone, a lady walked up to Bruce he didn't know her name but he remembered serving her at lunch today.
"What are you doing up here," The lady said taking a seat next to him.
"I'm waiting for my friends to return, and also partially guarding this side of the wall" Bruce replied, making eye contact with her, she had hazel eyes, tanned skin, a triangular face shape and straight, long hair that was black in colour. "I don't think I've caught your name yet?" Bruce said fiddling with his deagul's barrel.
"Christie is my name," She said smiling.
"Well hello Christie, I'm Bruce," he said holding his hand out for her to shake.
Christie shook his hand and replied, "Yeah I know you, some of the folks here are mad that you guys brought in Faith seed."
"Yea, I can tell that people here aren't happy about that, but I'm grateful that Lindsey patching me up. And because of that I'm gonna try my best to help aid you guys as much as I can, even though I got only one good hand."
"Thanks, I guess" she replied. "Well I'm pretty sure those are your friends," She said pointing at a ute at the back full of boxes. Bruce was happy to the point where he nearly fell off the ledge. Bruce speedily climbed down the wall nearly tumbling on his shoulder, Bruce ran up to the two who were untieing the ropes holding the boxes in place.
"Took you guys forever," Bruce said helping untie the ropes.
"We had to kill peggies that's all," Joe said leering at Mary.
Bruce lifted a box, it was pretty heavy and his shoulder was not having it, Bruce nearly dropped the box but he just saved it with his knee. "How about you take the duffle bag from the back seat," Mary said taking the box from Bruce's hands. Bruce obliged and went to the back seat and took out a leather duffle bag, that had a little handle and a strap. Bruce lifted the strap and placed it on his shoulder. The duffle was fairly heavy, and he could hear metal or tin bump into each other. "Take that to Lindsey," Mary said taking another box from the back.
Bruce walked over to Dr Lindsey's office and handed the duffle bag. The doctor opened the zipper and pulled out an AK-47 and an AKM, he placed both on his table and went through the other contents, Lindsey pulled out at least 10 5.56mm magazines and a couple cans of tinned foods, but then his face beamed as he pulled out two medical kits, "This is great we have more medical supplies" Lindsey said opening the two packs and separating the contents. Bruce didn't know much about medicine, so he watches Lindsey take out bandages, some pills in a clear canister. He stared up at Bruce and said, "Tell Joe and Mary I said thanks, and also take the duffle and the other things" Lindsey said packing the two rifles, tinned foods and ammo into the duffle, and handing it to Bruce.
"Will do doc," Bruce said taking the bag and walking out the room. With the duffle strapped around his left shoulder, when he went outside the sky was grey and there were little clouds scattered above him, Bruce looked around and saw that the ute was empty and Mary and Joe were probably inside helping unload the boxes, Bruce entered the kitchen to find Joe handing the chef the tins, and then the chef passed it on and it was loaded into a shelf or was put to the side, within a minute they went through a whole box.
"Hey Joe Lindsey said to give these to you, oh and he also said thanks for the meds." He said slowly putting the duffle next to Joe.
"Oh, yeah my weapons are here, thanks" Joe replied tossing an empty box to the side and pulling in a new one.
"How much did you guys get?" Bruce asked curiously.
"I'd say about ten boxes full of tinned foods, and at least 5 boxes full of water. Whoever owned that bunker was prepared for something." Joe said confidently.
"Did they know you were taking these," he asked tilting his head.
"No one replyed so we took the loot," Joe replied
"Oh okay, imagine if they came back to see the boxes gone," Bruce said grabbing a tin and passing it on to one of the helpers.
"Well that would he hella' sad," Joe replied doing a toothy smile.
"Anywho Joe Imma' go back to my cell to check on faith," Bruce said handing the can to the helper and then walking off Joe did a little nod and then went back to passing the cans. Bruce ran the flight of stairs and opening the door, he nearly bumped his right shoulder, but he saved himself the pain. He walked up to her cell and this time he saw that she was awake and staring at him, she had her cell light on so he could see that her hair was like the hair of a mad scientist, Bruce nearly choked on his own saliva when he saw the sight, it was hard not to laugh.
"Well Dontchu' look different," He said grabbing the metal bar. She despitefully stared at him, "Okay, but did you shower today or get out of that cell?" Bruce asked as his smile faded.
"No, I've been here all day sleeping" She replied angrily.
"Oh, crap, sorry I wasn't around since I was helping out the folks here you know they are low on supplies after you raided," He said frowning, opening her cell and walking in. "Okay, they are probably starting to make food so how about, you can have a shower and hopefully, by then we can eat, but I'll take you to my calm spot as well so you can get some fresh air, but wait here I'll grab you the extra towel in my cell," He said holding up one finger running out of her cell to his, He kept her towel on top of his duffle so he wouldn't forget to give it to her. He took the towel and ran back to her cell and thumped his right shoulder, he shook off the pain and saw that she was sleeping again, 'damn lazy one I see' he thought to himself. Bruce walked over and threw the towel on her face, which shocked her and made her roll against the wall. 'oops' Bruce thought.
"Sorry," he said "c'mon get up shower time," He held his left hand out and faith grabbed it, he pulled her a bit too hard causing her to fly into his left shoulder, they stared awkwardly at each other before they both left for the shower room.
"Okay I'll allocate you thirty minutes to do whatever you want within the time, oh and also soap and all that stuff are in the shower, stalls," Bruce said staring at his palms, they reached the door and Bruce opened it gesturing her inside. "Okay your time starts in, 3, 2, 1, and GO." He said closing the door as she walked in. Bruce now had to wait, he quickly dashed to the kitchen and saw that they finished supplying and the chefs are doing prep work before they do anything. Bruce then ran back up and heard the hissing from the showerhead.
When Faith finally got out she was wearing washed blue jeans a white shirt and a furry hooded zip-up jacket, and she also wore her towel on her head. "Okay now that your done let's go to your cell where we wait," Bruce said directing her back to her cell.
The two went back into faiths cell, faith took off her tower, threw it on her bed and sat down, Bruce found himself a chair and sat down. The two sat in awkward silence.
Bruce broke the silence, "Okay I'll go and check on the food I'll be back in like half an hour," He said getting up and leaving the cell, Bruce made sure he locked it as her exited. He took a deep breath and started to run down the corridor, he speedily opens the door and ran towards the kitchen but was cut off by Christie.
"Oh, hi," she said with a waving gesture.
"Ah, hey" Bruce responded awkwardly.
"So did you meet up with your friends?" She asked tilting her body forward.
"Oh, yeah I was Joe and Mary, I'm stoked that they returned safe and sound," Bruce replied.
"Well that's good to hear, and they brought back a large supply"
"Yea it was crazy when I asked Joe about it, talk about luck, anywho Christie what's your role around here?" Bruce asked rubbing his beard.
"My role? well, I work as a guard, either on the walls or on the first floor making sure no fights break out." She replied
"Interesting Bruce replied, have they finished making food yet?"
"I would assume they are nearly done," She said tilting herself in, even more, Bruce took a step back since she was breaking his personal bubble.
"I, ha-ve to, go now," Bruce stuttered,
"Oh that's unfortunate, well see you around," She said waving him goodbye.
Bruce felt extremely awkward and wanted to get away from everyone, but Bruce shook it off and found himself in the cafeteria, people were crowding the kitchen area. 'I guess it's done' he mumbled to himself. Bruce ran in line and waited for his turn, he slowly progressed through the line but he finally made it to the server and it was the man from yesterday, "can I get two bowls of soup please, the other bowl is for a friend." Bruce asked.
"Sure but once again you better not be lying," The server said taking out another bowl filling both up to halfway.
"Thank you very much," Bruce said taking the bowls and smiling.
Bruce slowly and steadily walked back to the stairs, he once again put both bowls down and opened the door, and in one swift move he picked them back up, Bruce was getting used to his broken shoulder, he could tell it was slowly healing since it didn't hurt his when he moved his right arm, but when he made sudden movements then that's another story. Bruce tried to fit one of the bowls through the cell bars but the bowl was too big. So Bruce once again placed down the bowls and unlocked Faith's cell.
"C'mon I told you we were going to my special place," Bruce said tilting his head to the right. She obeyed his order and took one of the bowls. "Okay, let's walk," He said guiding her towards a flight of stairs that led to the third floor, they then entered a run-down cell that had a huge hole in the roof. "Okay place your bowl down and I'll give you a boost," Bruce said placing his bowl down carefully and got into position, faith complied and took a step on his palms, she was boosted upwards and climbed the ledge. She stared down at Bruce, He picked up both bowls and handed them to her when she took them Bruce took a couple of steps back. "Hold up let me see if I can still do this," he said running up to the bed and using it as a ramp, Bruce flew high enough for him to grab the ledge with his left hand and then he held on with both hands even though his right arm was aching from the sudden movement, Bruce somehow managed to drag himself up the ledge next to faith who stared blankly at him.
"Okay if we go any further we're gonna ruin the soup by getting it dirty so let's just eat here for now," Bruce said taking a bowl. "But through this vent, we can exit to the roof," Bruce said pointing at the ventilation shaft that was next to them.
This time around Faith was the first to finish but Bruce wasn't that far behind. They both left the bowl to the side and went inside the vent, they followed the vent until they saw light coming through a hole, "Are you tall enough to climb it?" Bruce asked keeping his head lowered.
"Yes I can get through," she replied
Faith stood up and climbed through the little hole, Bruce followed behind her. When Bruce got outside he felt the freedom, and he knew Faith did too since she was holding her hands out and bending her body backwards.
"Okay we're going a tad bit higher," Bruce said walking to the right, faith following closely behind. "Okay climb on this machine thing, and hop on the roof don't worry you won't slip off the roof just make sure you're on your back," Bruce said confidently,
Faith climbed up and bruce followed behind, they both laid there on their backs, "Okay now here's the fun part, copy my movements" Bruce said staring at faith. He slowly started to shimmy towards the left where there was a chimney looking thing Bruce really didn't know what it was but to him it was his backrest. They reached the structure and the two just sat there. "The best thing about this spot is that you can sit either way either your back on the wall or on the roof"
"So what do you think of my secret spot," Bruce said with a cheeky tone.
"Would be a lot better with a couple of drinks, and a few more friends, like Tracey" Faith said starting to frown.
"Oh right I heard you and Tracey were close before all 'this' happened, do you guys still talk?" Bruce asked.
"No, she most likely wants me dead right now, I had her close ones killed and when you were knocked out and we came to the prison I saw her, I saw Tracey and she gave me those eyes, the eyes of a killer, do you get that Bruce? she wants me dead." She looked like she was about to burst out crying so Bruce wrapped an arm around her to calm her, and thankfully this time she didn't flinch or push him away.
"It's okay, shit like this happens a lot trust me, Joe and I tried to kill each other before we joined the army, things with you guys will either get better or worse, but that will happen in time enjoy the moment your living in right now, that's what I've taught myself and I don't regret this mindset."
"Well what if I told you I just want to spend time with her just once again like the old days, I want to go back to the past to fix up my mistakes, I wish HE never saw me."
"Hey calm down, you should know that if you change the past you wouldn't be here right now, you could be dead, captured, tortured hell I don't know anything could have happened so all I can say is be grateful to be living in this moment," Bruce said tightening his grip on her. "But I'm curious why your opening up to me, like what have I done right to get such information."
"I don't know your character just intrigues me," Faith said calming down and breaking out of Bruce's grip.
"Can I ask more about Ari and what he did to you?" Bruce asked
"You get one question and that's it" She replied
"Okay, this one might be a bit heavy but when I touched your shoulder why did you react in a harsh way?"
"Kinda personal but being with Ari was hell, the first day or two was actually decent he seemed like a fun guy and one night we had IT, and at that time I thought to myself I could use him, see I thought he was vulnerable and easy to manipulate but in reality, the tables turned and he was in my mind, controlling me, and when you came I thought you were the same as him so when you grabbed me I thought you were gonna do THAT to me. But now I realised your nothing like him and you somewhat despise him, and I want to apologise if I sounded rude." She replied crossing her arms.
"No, don't apologise I get it Ari is a bastard, thing is I'm not sure if I should trust you since your known to be manipulative, but I guess for now I'll believe just because Ari is an asshole and is very manipulative and narcissistic. I think we should head back now I want to get you to help out the survivors tomorrow, I'll be with you so nothing bad happens and there's no point in hiding you since the whole prison knows your here." Bruce said
"Okay, but how exactly will I help out?" Faith asked raising her left eyebrow.
"Tomorrow I'm on guard duty so you could be an extra pair of eyes, you could even work in the kitchen and a server, if neither workout I could take you with me to get supplies and maybe some intel on the peggies," Bruce replied
"Yeah sure, I guess that's better than being stuck in a cell all day."
"Sweet okay then let's head back and get some rest, tomorrow I want to be productive," Bruce said sliding back to the little vent, faith following behind, the two went through the vent picked up the bowls and then jumped down to the broken cell, they both ran down the stairs to the second floor and made their way to their cells, Bruce waited for faith to get inside hers and then when she did he locked the door. "Hold up let me grab you a bottle of water before you sleep," Bruce said. He rushed down to the kitchen to give the bowls in and then he found himself two water bottles. He dashed back up to faiths cell and threw her a bottle, this time she caught it. "Okay lights out," Bruce said before walking into his cell, he gulped down half of the water and set it at the foot of the bed, Bruce hopped into bed, pulling the blanket over his mouth, a few moments later he fell asleep.
