AN: I have updated my penname from potterfan36041 to BrookeSHodges so that it can match across platforms. The potterfan penname has been great the last 18 years, but was only true for about the first two weeks. You're going to get all the same content- the penname has just been updated.

"Where's Mom? Or Tommy?" Ollie asked as Aisha waved him over at the end of his class. He had been looking for either of his parents for the entire class, so when she walked in his stomach dropped. He knew something had happened for her to be there, he just didn't know what it was. "Aunt Aisha…"

"I don't know Ollie, your mom just asked that I come pick you up. How about we go get some pizza and then we'll give them a call?" Aisha suggested as Ollie nodded in agreement and she let out a sigh. Jason had called her a little while ago and the news was not good, but she was not going to relay that to Ollie at this point. Hopefully she would be able to give him some better news once Billy was done.

"They're hurt, aren't they?" Ollie asked as Aisha looked at him and let out a long sigh. So much for trying to keep that a secret from him, the boy was too perceptive for his own good. "Can I see them?"

"Billy's patching them up. I promise I'll take you to them after pizza," Aisha said as Ollie nodded and he bit down on his bottom lip. "Hey…Billy is great at this- they'll be fine."

"I got the wound closed, but we need to let this transfusion finish," Billy said as Tommy looked up at him and nodded. He was still enraged by everything that had happened today and was barely keeping that contained. He needed to figure something out, but he also needed Kim to be awake. "I don't know how long it will be before she wakes up. She lost a decent amount of blood and she's got to be in a lot of pain. Can I check you over now?"

"There's nothing wrong…" Tommy trailed off as he realized how deep the shackles had dug into his wrists as he tried to escape when Billy gently touched one of them. "Fine, but I'm not leaving her."

"I don't expect you to," Billy said as Tommy sat up and he let Billy examine him. Other than being a bit hungry and thirsty, he felt like he was fine. He saw the rangers hanging out at the edge of the Dino Lab and he let out a sigh. They had trusted that Hayley would do the right thing and she hadn't. All of them had put their trust in Hayley and this had to hurt them too.

"What happened the first try?" Tommy asked as they looked down at their feet. "I'm not mad, I'm just trying to understand."

"We went in and got our asses handed to us. We thought…we thought Kim was just ignoring the call…" Kira trailed off as Tommy let out a groan. Hayley had not called Kim in and had sent in the rangers to try to get him without her experience and back up. She had to have known that wouldn't work out well and now it left him with tons of abrasions and Kim with a stab wound. "I didn't think Hayley would…"

"Me neither. Go home. Rest up. You're probably not going to have either of us as back up for awhile," Tommy said as they looked at him and he could see how much they wanted to stick around, but he needed to be alone. He needed to just be with Kimberly and for everyone else to clear the hell out or he was going to lose it. "Please, go home."

"Dr. O, we're so sorry…" Conner started as Tommy just nodded. He knew what they felt. He just wanted to be alone with her. He needed to be alone with her if he was not going to explode again.

"We'll give you a call when she wakes up," Billy said as he ushered the rangers out and he looked back at Tommy. "What are you going to do?"

"I don't know. I thought that Hayley got the point," Tommy whispered as Billy nodded. He had thought that Hayley would get the point after what Tommy said last time. He hadn't left any room for argument in what he'd said, but Hayley had decided that this was acceptable. "I thought she was over the idea of us. She's never even talked about us dating since we broke up."

"I think it's hard to see you with her. It was certainly hard for Kat," Billy said as Tommy looked down at his feet. He still felt bad for how that relationship had ended and that had been purely on him. She had figured out that he cheated on her. She had never asked who it had been with, but she knew. All of the rangers that he served with knew. This was why Billy was so much better for Kat than he would have ever been. Billy had put back together a lot that Tommy had broken. "Not that Kat would have ever done something like this."

"Can you…what do I need to look for to come get you?" Tommy asked as Billy walked over and made a list before he handed it to him. "Thanks."

"She's going to be sore when she wakes up, but you will want to get her up and moving. The morphine will probably keep her out for a bit, but other than it being a lot of blood, it wasn't as deep as I thought it was to begin with," Billy said as Tommy nodded and he let out a shaky breath. In the span of a month- the both of them had been seriously injured and that was not something he was used to. It hadn't been like this since they were last rangers together. "Aisha picked up Ollie today- you may want to give her a call."

"Thanks," Tommy whispered as he grabbed his cell phone and walked off a bit to make the call. He wasn't sure that Ollie should come here for the night, but he also knew that a lot had changed with him and he had found some stability in going home to one of them each night. He wanted his son to have that stability, even in the middle of this, but he knew that Kimberly might kill him if he brought him here.

"Your dad just called and said that he'd like for you to stay with us tonight, but it's up to you if you want to go to his house," Aisha said as Ollie ran over to her from playing on the jungle gym. She had been desperately trying to buy some time to figure out what was actually going on before giving Ollie an update and now she knew. She was still in shock over how this had happened and how it could have been avoided. "So what do you want?"

"What did Mom say?" Ollie asked as he sat down next to her and Aisha let out a sigh. Tommy had told her everything that had happened and she was still trying to process it all. Kim was injured and unconscious and Tommy was furious. She didn't blame Tommy for being this mad, even if he hadn't told Kim yet- they all knew that he still loved her. "Aunt Ish?"

"Your mom didn't talk with me," Aisha said as Ollie gave her a hard look and she let out a sigh. "She's fine, but she's a little beat up right now and Tommy wants to give her a chance to feel a bit better."

"I want to go home," Ollie said as Aisha wrapped him up in a hug and nodded. They had both been pretty sure that that was what he would ask for, but Tommy had wanted to give him a chance to not see her like this. He wanted to give Ollie a chance to not have these memories haunt his dreams.

"Okay, go play a bit more and then I'll take you home," Aisha said as Ollie jumped up and ran off to play. She was glad that she didn't know exactly how bad it was, because that would have been hard to lie to Ollie about. It was hard enough to tell him that Kim was hurt at all. "What have you gotten yourself into?"
