Good news the hiatus is over! This chapter is a little short but the next ones will be a lot longer.

Renji watched in horror as the girl started to beat the crap out of Ichigo with the nearest stop sign. 'Shit I gotta get out of here!' he thought. Before he could scamper away Renji was stopped by a hulking man who grabbed hold of him. He tried to bite but the man grabbed him by the scruff and stuffed him into a large pet barely managed to escape before being stuffed back in. All he saw before the pet carrier was thrown haphazardly into a limo was Ichigo slumping on the road unconscious.

Renji scratched furiously at the wire net of the pet carrier to no effect. When he had been thrown into the limo he had hit his head against the roof of the feet carrier. Now he had a head ache and he was trapped by a psychotic girl who was convinced that he was female.

Renji yelped and tried to push back as far into the pet carrier as possible when Izumi thrust her face in front of the metal door. She smiled happily and said "Don't worry Mrs. Fluffelkins that bad man will not get you again."

Renji gulped and send out a silent prayer to god to save him from Izumi's clutches.

Matsumoto on the other hand was trying to cuddle her irate captain, well as much as an antelope can cuddle a snarling snow leopard cub while gushing about cuteness. Hinamori on the other hand was trying to stop the blond lieutenant from crushing her best friend as much as a tiny squirrel could.

The more Rangiku continued to harass her tiny superior, the angrier did Toshiro get. "Ne...Taichou you are so cute." squealed the formerly busty blond as she nudged Hitsugaya. She nudged him with her nose, nuzzling against his soft fur. Meanwhile Toshiro was starting to feel less pissed and odder. Now that he was an animal his sense of smell had changed. He could smell his lieutenant and the smell made him hungry. 'What is going on?' he wondered as his mind started to haze over.

Everyone jumped when Rangiku suddenly screeched in pain. They all turned and gasped at what they saw. Rangiku had jumped away from her captain, Momo balanced precariously on her head. On her face were red claw marks. They were superficial and were barely scratches.

They all gwaked at them in shock. However the one who seemed most affected was Hitsugaya. He was staring at his paw with a slightly frightened expression. "Di...did I do that?" he asked now looking at his subordinate and friend. "Shiro chan are you okay?" asked Momo wondering about her best friend's strange behavior.

"I... I am so sorry." He said as tears started to appear in his teal colored eyes. "Its okay captain." replied Rangiku coming close to him again with a concerned expression on her face. She was hardly worried about the scratches. She was more worried about toshiro and his strange behavior. No matter what goof up she had ever done, Toshiro had never attacked her. She had expected him to growl cutely at her not claw at her face viciously. Like a predator her mind supplied.

The old man voice from the rafters startled everyone in the meeting hall. "Hmm... now this is a side effect I did not expect. Seems like not only our bodies but our minds are turning into animals as well." Stated Kurotsuchi.

The idea that the affected shinigamis will behave like animals came from toshiluver123. Thanks for the idea. :D

Also my exams went really well. I would have updated sooner but one of our professors decided to take a surprise test right after our main exams. :/
