Heres a new chapter for all those of you who have been waiting for over a month.

The Thirteenth Division

Mizuki Ren one of the seated officer of first who had gotten the job of informing all the divisions of the improptue captain's meeting to the senior seats. When he entered the captain's quarters he was treated to the sight of a rat chased by cat chased by a porcupine followed by a howling gibbon and an oddly black feathered peacock. As a response to such a sight he fainted.

Mizuki woke with cold water being splashed on his face. He sat up startled and came face to face with the blond fourth seat of the thirteenth division. Blinking he looked at the small crowd of thirteenth division members around the two of them. The concerned faces heaved with relief on seeing that he was ok.

"Are you alright?" asked the fourth seat.

"Y…yeah." He replied confused.

"So… what brings you here?"

"Oh.. um that… uh can we talk in private?"

The fourth seat nodded before leading Mizuki towards the captain's quarters. Meanwhile Mizuki was trying to contemplate what he had seen.

The thirteenth division captain, Jushiro Ukitake was known to keep koi fish. It was a common sight to see the white haired man sitting beside on of the ponds and drinking tea while feeding the carps with breadcrumbs. So where on earth had all those animals come from? The cat and the rat he could understand but he doubted that anyone would keep a gibbon, a black turkey and a porcupine. The more he thought of it, the surer he became that convinced that it had been a hallucination. On the other hand they could have been runaway experiments from the twelfth division laboratories.

Mizuki didn't know how closely he had guessed the right thing. He would instead inform the fourth seat of the emergency captain's meeting before returning to the first division unaware of the shock lying in wait for him there.

The Twelfth Division

"Mikoto san Kurotshuchi taichou's private laboratory has been compromised." Informed the subordinate while panting loudly from his run. "What!" exclaimed Mikoto standing up. She marched towards the subordinate and asked in a firm tone "Does the third and Fourth seats know."

"Uhh...yes Akon san and Hayate san knows. They are on their way. " Replied the unseated shinigami quickly. "Alright. Let's go and find our captain and lieutenant." Mikoto ordered her subordinate before striding away.

Meanwhile twelfth division was in chaos. The idea that someone had breached one of Kurotsuchi's laboratories was not only improbable but next to impossible considering that it was a high security zone with access provided to few.

Mikoto stood in front of the giant steel doors, which were ajar. The dark area inside was forbidding but Mikoto was made of stronger stuff. She hadn't survived under Kurotsuchi that long by letting the Captain scare her. No, Mikoto was much too smart for that.

"I wonder how someone managed to bypass our security system." She wondered aloud for the benefit of her colleagues. "I think we should go inside." Suggested Akon, their third seat.

"Are you sure?" asked their fourth seat who resembled a frog. "There could be traps inside." he continued.

"Whatever traps are there has already been deactivated by the intruder. Only the Captain can reactivate them But we should be careful." Replied Akon.

With that the trio made their way inside. When Mikoto entered she commanded the Ai system to turn on the lights. All the lights flared up brightening the room in an instant. For a moment they were blinded before the whole place came in view.

All three stood stock still at the utter chaos in front of them.

The tiled room was fully equipped with all sorts of machines. The floor was however covered with upturned large metal racks. The floor was littered with shards of glass from beakers and flasks. Slipping on a pair of gloves Mikoto warily picked up the remnants of an Erlenmeyer's flask. She examined the flask and took a careful sniff. Noting the lack of odour she turned to her colleagues.

Akon was examining the sheer number of upturned and broken glass containers, which were being used to store something. Meanwhile Hayate was trying to hack into the computer.

"What was Captain doing with these?" she asked Akon who was searching carefully through the glass hoping to find any remnants of whatever he was storing. "I wonder too… it must have been some sort of a volatile liquid." the horned shinigami replied as he picked up another flask stoppered by a rubber cork and labeled. The bottom was completely gone.

"It could have been a sol-gel as well." Mikoto mused storing away the flask she had found in the pocket of her lab coat. "Its no use." Called out Hayate. He had been unable to hack into Kurotsuchi's computer. Mikoto moved towards the computer and leant in trying to decode the jumble of words in front of her when Akon suddenly called out.

"I think I found something!"

Both the human and the frog rushed over. On the granite tabletop was a flask containing a very clear liquid. Beside it was a pipette along with a beaker containing a pale yellow liquid. In front of them was a laboratory logbook littered with figures and equations.

Akon continued to rummage around and discovered a mould. "Well lets investigate." Said Akon. "Right!" exclaimed the other two.

The Captain's Meeting Hall

"What do you mean we will turn into animals mentally as well?" asked Kensei growling up at the rafters. "It means that as time passes our behavior will become more animal like." replied Kurotsuchi annoyance lacing his voice. "How troublesome…" he mused. Unfortunately he made the mistake of pronouncing loudly "Well the ones who are carnivores like Kyoraku taicho will try to eat those who are herbivores like Ukitake taicho."

Understandably his words plunged the hall into literal chaos. All the herbivores ran as fast as they could from their carnivorous colleague towards the door. The foremost among them was Omeaeda the second division lieutenant. He was quite sure that his feline captain was ruthless and sadistic enough to eat him.

After the chaos had finally died down, Rukia went at plopped down beside Byakuya. They sat together in silence before Byakuya broke it. "I am surprised you didn't start panicking on hearing what Kurotsuchi taicho said." stated the noble.

"That's because I know you wouldn't ever hurt me Nii-sama." replied Rukia. The answer had obviously surprised the noble because his ears twitched once in happiness at his sister's reply.

Meanwhile Soi Fon was uncharacteristically lounging about happily instead of trying to scare Omaeda. Instead she was day dreaming about how Yoruichi would be pleased with her new appearance.

"Soi fon you are a kitty."

"Yes Yoruichi-sama."

"I am a kitty."

"Yes Yoruichi-sama."

"Lets be kitties together."

Soi Fon spoke aloud a blush on her face "Yes Yoruichi-sama." Not noticing the creeped out looks from the other shinigami around her.

So what would you like to know in the next chapter? About Renji who has been kidnapped or about Ichigo who is still lying somewhere in the streets unconcious or the surprise waiting for Mizuki or should I continue with Aizen? Review or PM to tell me okay. :)
