This is Chapter 6.5 of Tales of the Decade Second Season. Please enjoy it like a fan for Kamen Rider.
Chapter 6.5: World of Marvelous Hope
Exploring within the school through secret corridors that he uncovered being a "treasure hunter", Daiki travels deeper into his goal while Selina staggers, hearing sounds of a battle happening out there.
''Nyan-Nyan.'' The Purrloin purrs with some concern, thinking they should help those slackers and then they'll have to repay them. Daiki has been thinking about that but protests, reminding her. ''I could help but I did that already last time. Besides, we got a treasure to add into my collection.''
Selina hums but just smirks, admitting he has a point. Besides, they can help them later. How bad could it be out there.
Natsumi watches with a horrified face to see the Phantom corrupting Koyomi more, purple cracks slowly forming.
''K-Koyomi!'' Haruto utters weakly, trying to stand up but the Phantom stomps him back down.
''What are you doing to her!'' Dragonic demands furiously, badly wanting to charge in but he's not respect to bring harm to the children.
Doctor Shinigami snickers, pointing at Wiseman's arms while wearing some kind of exoskeleton-like metal gauntlets, connecting directly deep in the Phantom's arms.
''Why my new invention HICCUP!'' The Fangire expresses with slight hiccups in between in his speech. ''Hiccup! This draws out the Phantom outward by the wearer's power, making the test subject succumbing faster to despair.''
Wizard has never heard of such an evil creation to draw out despair like that. It makes him mad, demanding furiously. ''Release her. Now!''
''And why should I-'' The doctor begins to protest such an idea but as he does, Decade turns to look at Natsumi and even though she can't see his eyes; she understands what he wants her to do. Nodding, she orders Layla to regain herself. ''Layla, Sucker Punch!''
''Absol!'' Layla barks as she launches forward so fast in front of the Phantom to his surprise. She swings her claw and slashes deep into his hand that is gripping the little girl and bleeds him, releasing the little girl. The Phantom cries in shock, trying to attack the mon but Decade and Wizard get to his side and they land a hit, pushing the monster away.
''Annoying-'' Wiseman begins to express, his wound already regenerating. Koyomi breathes heavily on the ground, her body still showing small purple glowing cracks while Haruto sees them to his worry.
''Hmph. It doesn't matter. Her time is now limited and she won't last long. Haha- HICCUP!'' Doctor Shinigami announces with a small laugh followed by a hiccup. ''You have no hope to stop our plans! None! Hahahaha!''
He soon fades into darkness as does Wiseman, both vanishing.
''Tch. Cunning Fangire.'' Decade comments as he and Haruto revert back to normal. He watches as Haruto now runs to Koyomi's aid who just falls on the ground. He gets her sitting, using his arm to lift her up as he pulls out a ring.
''What are you doing?'' Natsumi asks him worryingly for the little girl. He eyes her and informs her. ''I can save her. I know I can.''
Before he can slide that ring on Koyomi's right hand, Tsukasa stops him. Haruto glares at him but Tsukasa points at the direction the other Haruto was at and he's gone.
"I think it's fair that we let him save her." He tells him to Haruto's dismay, telling him off. ''You can't be serious about-''
''You trust you're A.R. Self, do you not, Hopesie Wizard?'' Haruto's words are cut off by Tsukasa's question. He pauses, frowning as he's not sure. He… he doesn't want to lose another Koyomi but… Tsukasa is right: This is his other self's world thus his responsibility.
Sighing, Haruto stops and nods in agreement.
''Then let's go find him before he runs away like a scared puppy.'' Tsukasa proclaims with a small snicker.
''…'' Layla looks at him with a firm, silent glare before she bites on Tsukasa's leg, causing him to shriek in pain. ''AS A METAPHOR, LAYLA!''
Natsumi watches, sweat dropping before she runs off to find the other Haruto. Sougo notices this, about to tell Tsukasa but he sees her run away and instead tells him. "Sougo, do me a favor."
He blinks, wondering what this favor is.
Running away like a coward after seeing what happened to Koyomi, Haruto hides in a corner. He's sitting down in a sad pose with his arms crossed, depressed by his own weakness.
''Koyomi…'' He mutters, feeling useless in not doing anything for her. He feels like a coward and pathetic. He just wants to die in this small corner.
''Jiggly!'' Haruto lifts up his head and startles to see the round pink Pokémon in front of him, floating in the air as she cries happily. ''Jigglypuff!''
He looks at the creature, blushing as Natsumi is standing next to him.
''You can hug her.'' She advises him kindly. Haruto eyes her and then nods softly. He reaches out and starts to hug the pink puffy mon, cooing softly by his affection. Natsumi giggles, saying happily. ''She loves being cuddled and acknowledged.''
Haruto nods releasing Jigglypuff before beginning to ask with concern. ''I-Is Koyomi…''
Natsumi frowns, confirming she's still infected but she does say smiling. ''Your friend really has strong trust in you. That's why she won't submit to despair because of you.''
Haruto still frowns, still worried for her. She frowns back before she begins asking him. ''So… why are you scared?''
He frowns, eyeing Natsumi and can tell from her kind face that he can tell her. Still scared, Haruto breathes as he explains why he's like this. It happened one night that he and his parents were in a life-threatening car accident. Their car went out of control and was sent flying into a cliff side. Fearing the life of his mother and father, thinking they would all die unfairly; Haruto's despair became a desire to protect them and gain magic. He used it to save their lives but he saw it; the demon in him roaring fiercely within his soul. Since then, he was too afraid to use his magic, fearing the monster in him that might burst out and hurt everyone he loves. The only other person he ever told this was Koyomi who believes him and has always defended him.
''… I understand what you're going through.'' Natsumi begins to say softly, acknowledging Haruto's doubts as she felt the same. ''I lost my parents and my grandfather too. I was left alone, almost abandoned in that empty house…''
She pauses with a frown, imagining her time alone in the Hikari Studio… and it leaves her with such dread. However, she doesn't have to ever worry about that as she says with a smile. ''But then Tsukasa-kun entered my life and not just him but Dragonic, Layla, Jiggly…'' She touches her chest, smiling more and more because they're all with her. ''They filled my life with hope and a strong desire to protect them because they're my family and I will protect them!''
Jigglypuff blinks at her, slowly smiling. Kiva-la hovers above her, humming rather emotional by her words.
Sniffing as they're overhearing, Layla tries her best to not cry while Tsukasa remains quiet with his arms crossed. Haruto also listens, smiling as the girl knows the right words.
Seeing that she's reaching him, Natsumi encourages him brightly. ''Haruto-kun, you can't run away from this no matter how scary things get. Because she needs you. You owe it to her to save her.''
The little boy just stares at her, still not sure as he clenches into his chest.
''B-But I'm scared. I… I don't want to bring harm to anyone with my Phantom. I don't want to remember that pain.'' He tells her, still scared to try. Natsumi understands his worries but she encourages him. ''I get it but one must overcome despair or else you will rot and die away.'' She touches his shoulder, pleading to him. ''That's why you cannot let despair succumb to you. You need to have hope for yourself and for others. Hope will overcome despair and will save everyone, including Koyomi!''
Haruto is startled by that. Hope. That's what Koyomi always told him; to have hope in himself to overcome the monster in him and use his magic to be someone great.
''She's not wrong.'' Natsumi blinks, turning to see Tsukasa now behind him. The little boy eyes his professor and questions him, still doubting himself. ''Why me though? It doesn't- It isn't right!''
Tsukasa scoffs at his complaining and says another quote. ''Well, it may have escaped your notice, Haruto, but life isn't fair.''
Natsumi shrieks a bit, using that quote so well.
''Life is not fair, that is what a good friend taught me.'' Tsukasa begins to tell the kid, using the line a certain dragon told him before. Dragonic blinks, slowly forming a small smile.
''A-and if I can't do anything. If my magic isn't all that important.'' Haruto starts to question him. Tsukasa just eyes him and tells him firmly with another, altered quote. ''Then you will find yourself easy prey for the Phantom! Fools who wear their hearts proudly on their sleeves, who cannot control their emotions, who wallow in sad memories and allow themselves to be provoked this easily.''
Layla sweat drops by these weird speeches while Dragonic and Haruto have to admit that Tsukasa is overusing those quotes.
''Weak people, in other words; they stand no chance against your Phantom! It will penetrate your mind with absurd ease, Haruto!'' Tsukasa warns the boy that he can't continue being afraid of the monster within. ''… To escape your despair: You fight it with hope.''
This gets the little boy, looking at Tsukasa who now asks him without any quotes. ''No matter how much you fear your power, it is that same power that saved you and your family.'' He eyes the other Haruto as he adds. ''Hope is magic. That is your power.''
The boy immediately widened his eyes, recalling how Koyomi would tell him that a true wizard has hope and that belief will overcome the evil within him. He frowns, not realizing it and also that's why Koyomi is still holding on because she's hoping for him to save her.
''… I get it now.'' Haruto mutters out, not realizing it until now. Tsukasa smirks as Dragonic pops in, holding Koyomi who grunts in an unconscious state, more cracks showing across her whole body.
''Hopesie Wizard, the ring.'' Tsukasa orders the other Haruto who walks forward and tells him off by his order. ''… It's Haruto Soma to you, Destroyer-san.'' Saying that last part as sarcastically. Tsukasa rolls his eyes with a small smirk.
He gets on his knees, giving his other world self an Engage Wizard Ring and tells him with a smile. ''Use it and you'll save her. Remember, Hope is always a double-edge sword against despair. That dragon you fear is your strength too. All you need is the hope to overcome it and if you do, you'll never fall again.''
The boy stares at him and nods, putting on first the driver ring as he swipes his right hand over his belt buckle.
''DRIVER ON, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver chants as the boy gains his own belt before he swaps rings in his right hand and swipes it over the transformed belt.
''ENGAGE, PLEASE!'' The belt then announces itself as a portal manifest underneath the boy and he falls inside of it, entering Koyomi's Underworld to deal with the Phantom within her.
Tsukasa turns forward, knowing that Phantom will make a move again and this time he's going to put that monster down.
''Dragonic, Natsumikan, Layla; stay here and protect them.'' He orders them as he begins to walk away. ''I'll deal with the one behind all of this.''
Haruto nods in agreement, proclaiming. "Let's go."
Tsukasa just smirks as the two walk forward just as Sougo runs off, panting.
"What took you-" Tsukasa begins to mock him but Sougo stops him with a small smirk. "Sometimes, you're too smart for your own good, Tsukasa-san."
He hands him a sheet with the information that Tsukasa wanted. He reads it and it confirms his suspicions.
"… I know." Tsukasa answers him, walking past him and marches forward to face the Phantom. "Get the students away from the fight."
Sougo nods, planning to do so.
''NYAN!'' Screaming as she dashes away, Selina runs for her life with Quick Attack while Daiki, now Diend, is fighting the defender of the treasure, the Beast Driver. The creature is a Phantom, the Chimera, able to fight Diend back even through his summons.
''Didn't know these traps were this secure. Not bad.'' Diend proclaims, praising the monster's strength. The Chimera still charges at him with claw swipes but Diend dashes around and leaps above it, sliding a Rider Card in and loads it in.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!'' The Diendriver announces as Diend takes aim. Chimera is about to look up to attack the rider until it's hit by Purrloin's Torment, staggering it from making the same move again. Diend snickers as he fires a cyan beam from his gun. ''DIEND!''
The beam consumes and hits Chimera, damaging its body so much it is sucked back inside the Beast Driver. Diend lands on the ground, twirling his gun before he proclaims in a taunt. ''But I've faced better traps than these.''
Selina gives him a look, both her tiny paws on her waist side as she stomps her foot on the ground. Diend just eyes her and shrugs his shoulders as he walks forward to his treasure.
''The Beast Driver…'' He proclaims, staring at the pillar that's containing the belt and without a second through, snatches it in the palm of his hands. ''A fantastic treasure.''
''Nyan-Nyan…'' Selina purrs with a smirk, thinking now they can have other fun by "helping" Decade and making him owe them something else.
Diend hums and snickers, agreeing. ''I suppose we should.'' He says as he walks away with the purple cat following right behind him.
Walking among the halls of the seemingly empty school, the headmaster looks around to see no one or no noise of students chatting. It feels weird like-
''You know…'' The man startles, turning to see Tsukasa, wearing his casual coat outfit, is sitting on a small bench with Haruto beside him. They're both eating a doughnut, waiting for this "man" to show up. He takes a few bites before he resumes to say. ''It does amaze me how swiftly and undetectable you Phantoms are in getting inside.''
"What? Professor Kadoya, what-" The man begins to question what he's accusing him of but Tsukasa interrupts him. ''From what I was told, this place should have protection spells all over the building to prevent your kind from entering. But then again, that was what the old headmaster did to protect this place.''
He pulls out the sheet that Sougo gave him from his research and he begins to explain what he learned. ''So I asked Sougo to look over the archives and it seems the former headmaster died within the school and the Phantom he died to defeat wasn't destroyed. Mysterious huh? Even more mysterious that the former headmaster had no successor before he died and you have no history until becoming the new headmaster.''
This causes the man to sweat as Tsukasa soon calls him out with a gaze. ''You're the Phantom, aren't you?'' He points at him. ''Current Headmaster-san?''
''No, Headmaster Wiseman!'' Haruto then calls him out, pointing his finger at him. This shocks the man, getting mad as a purple aura surrounds him and becomes the white Phantom, uttering in disbelief. ''How?!''
''Simple. You were too relaxed with the situation of your students being targets to the Phantoms. I expected a Dumbledore from you.'' Haruto proclaims with a firm glare. ''Instead, you're just a Voldemort; a coward and a snake.''
''Good reference.'' Tsukasa utters in amazement. Haruto smirks, explaining himself. ''I also like Harry Potter.''
Tsukasa snickers before he stares at the Phantom and questions him. ''Though I'm surprised you work with the Fangire Mad Doctor of Dai-Shocker to help your ambitions to create your army of Phantoms. I'd figure you would be prideful to not ask for help.''
Wiseman scoffs as it is not in a Phantom's nature to allow another to help them but he explains his reasons. ''It's always been tricky to keep those to succumb to despair if they have already overcome them.'' He shows off his gauntlets that bring any to despair. ''So the Doctor provided a device that acts like the Sabbath, only to work on a mage at a time.''
This enrages Haruto, muttering as he's reminded of another who had a similar trick. ''Just like Sorcerer.''
''Oh~ Most correct!'' The two look up to see Doctor Shinigami descending beside Wiseman. ''But now I have expanded the range of my creation to this whole castle!''
This shocks the two as Wiseman snickers, holding up his arms at the two.
''Now enjoy yourselves becoming Phantoms of Dai-'' The Fangire prepares to declare excitedly until an energy shot comes from out of nowhere like a homing missile and hits Wiseman's arms. The Phantom screams in agony as the blast explodes on impact, damaging his arms but mainly destroying the gauntlets.
''Yo, Tsukasa-san.'' Tsukasa turns around and glares as it is Kaito, twirling his Diendriver with Selina on top of his head, smirking. Daiki points his finger at him as a gun hand gesture before he tells him with a wink. ''You owe me.'' He soon jumps off, vanishing through an Aurora Curtain.
Haruto blinks while Tsukasa scoffs, muttering upset. ''Moron, I had a plan.''
"Y-YOU DAMN!" Enraged to lose the gauntlets, Wiseman loses it as multiple Ghouls, Phantoms and even Dai-Shocker troopers appear and charge at the two in all directions. However, the moment they got in range; multiple magical chains that Haruto set up suddenly shot out and smacked and wrapped themselves upon the enemy. The chains even try to coil around Wiseman who leaps backwards and Doctor Shinigami who flies up, evading them.
''And this is why I despise surprises!'' The Fangire expresses with a humorous tone, looking at Tsukasa and declares with a bow. ''Another time, Decade! Do keep Natsumi-chan safe.''
This gets to Tsukasa. Why the hell would he mention Natsumi? She's not even involved with this.
''What do you mean by that?!'' He demands seriously, trying to run towards him but the Fangire just laughs as he poofs into multiple bats, all flying away in all directions.
Tsukasa grunts really pissed as he eyes Haruto and he nods, summoning his Wizardriver. Tsukasa pulls out a Rider Card with the Decadriver already on his waist as the two shout. ''Henshin!'' He thrusts his card into his belt while Haruto swipes his left ring over his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE! DECADE!'' The Decadriver announces as Tsukasa transforms into Decade, wiping his hands together.
''FLAME, PLEASE! HI-HI, HI-HI-HI!'' The Wizardriver announces as a flame magical circle overlaps Haruto, transformed into Wizard as he flaps the back end of his coat tail.
''It's Showtime!'' Wizard proclaims confidently, wielding the WizarSwordGun in gun form. Decade wields the Ride Booker gun form too as they charge forward as they fire a barrage of shots at the minions. Multiple of them are shot down instantly as long rangers fire beams at them. Decade and Wizard leap away, both in their own styles, evading the beams as the mage rider swipes his right hand just as a destructive beam is coming at him.
''DEFEND, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as a magical barrier manifests around the rider and protects him from the energy blast. He then switches rings and swipes his belt, landing on the ground.
''BIG, PLEASE!'' The belt then announces as Wizard, twirling his weapon into sword form, swings his left arm forward as a red magical circle just appears and emerging from the other side is Wizard's arm turning massive giant size including his sword. He makes a wide swing that slashes through the long range monsters, destroying them all.
Decade, also landing, takes multiple shots at the monsters on his side as he thrusts a card into his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decadriver flips his weapon to sword form and leaps forward, transforming into… ''G!'' He swings downward and slashes down a Phantom as he follows it by dashing at a few Ghouls and Dai-Shocker troopers, slashing them down with multiple swings.
Decade-G swipes the back of his sword until more Ghouls and Phantoms appear. He scoffs, not expecting more would still appear. Wizard sees them and realizes they have no time for them, advising Decade. ''I'll deal with them. Stop Wiseman!''
''You got this, Hopesie Wizard?'' Decade-G asks him with Wizard snickers, switching his left ring with a more evolved ring.
''I am the final hope. Of course I can.'' Wizard proclaims, flipping the center of the ring before swiping it over his belt.
''FLAME, DRAGON!'' The Wizardriver finally responds firmly as a more enhanced red magical circle manifests before Wizard, moving towards him and overlapping through him from front to back.
''BOU-BOU! BOU-BOU-BOU!'' The driver chants passionately as the swirls of great flames consumes Haruto before said flames become the shape of a dragon before they dissolve, transformed into the more dragon-like Wizard Flame Dragon form. His heat burns across his very feet as he walks forward to the enemy.
The Ghouls and Phantoms charge at him but Wizard kicks one so hard, launching it into the wall as it explodes in flames. He then dodges and expertly blocks their attacks, even blocking strikes on his back by moving his sword hand on his back. Wizard then spins kicks, flames streaming out from the soles of his feet, as they hit and blow the monsters around him away. He adjusts him, switching rings on his right hand before he swipes it over his belt while he shoots down a Ghoul without looking at him as it is destroyed in flames.
''COPY, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as two magical circles overlap between both of his hands as the other hand wields a second WizarSwordGun. He twirls both into sword form and begins dashing around each of the monsters, performing two swings each with such speed before they know it and explode in flames.
Decade still watches, snarling a bit impressed before he runs off.
Wizard continues his assault as more Ghouls and Phantoms gather around him, each trying to hit him but instead are slaughtered into flames. The magic rider breathes, looking around him as they won't stop showing up. Guess it was time to end this show.
Wizard twirls and thrusts both swords onto the ground as he swaps rings again on his right hand, showing it off before he declares confidently, flipping the lever on the left side of his belt. ''Finale.''
''LEPARCHI MAGIC TOUCH GO!'' The Wizardriver begins to announce, repeating that phrase 4 times before Wizard slides the ring over his belt.
''VERY NICE! SPECIAL!'' Wizard crosses his arms before spreading them wide. ''THE BEST!''
A red magical circle manifests on his back as the fiery form of Wizardragon emerges out of the circle, flying around Wizard as the rider is levitated upward in the air. The flaming dragon continues circling around Wizard for 3-4 times before it goes back into the circle and shooting onto Wizard's chest is the living head of Wizardragon, roaring loudly.
The monsters panic as Wizard then spins around as the head of the Wizardragon breathes out a powerful torrent of flames from its mouth, consuming the whole area in its flames and destroying all of the Ghouls and Phantoms in it.
Wizard soon stops spinning as he lands on the ground with his chest reverting back to normal.
''Whew.'' He utters out, hoping Decade is doing fine on his end.
Wiseman is trying to escape the school, realizing his plans have failed. He'll have to start over and-
''Like Haruto said.'' The Phantom staggers, stopping on his tracks as Decade is standing in his way. ''A coward and a snake.''
''You pest!'' Wiseman shouts furiously, extending his right hand and fires spheres of energy at him. Decade doesn't even bother to dodge them as he dunks a card as the Decadriver announces. ''SUPER FORM RIDE!'' Decade's form changes into that of Kiva's super form. ''KIVA DOGABAKI!''
The dark sphere hits Decade-Kiva and barely flinches him. Decade then walks forward as Wiseman panics, firing more energy spheres. Each one connects and explodes but Decade-Kiva just comes out of each attack with minimal damage. Wiseman growls before he dashes at him, enclosing his fist in dark energy as he swings it. Decade-Kiva does the same with his fist, timing it and on the precise moment; he swings forward. The Phantom appears and hits Decade, blasting him in dark energy but Decade-Kiva also punches him on the chest, sparks flying out of the monster as the rider is blasted backwards. It knocks Decade out of his transformation as Tsukasa hits the ground but Wiseman gasps in pain, the gem piece of his chest cracked.
Tsukasa stands up, panting as he's far from defeated-
''Professor!'' He startles, turning to see the other Haruto running towards him. He watches as he questions him, clearly able to tell that the boy is happy and he knows why. ''Did you…''
Nodding rapidly, still very happy, Haruto proclaims. ''I did! I… I saved Koyomi!'' He still can't believe he did. The monster affecting her Gate was bad; he couldn't do a thing as it was going to kill him but then his Phantom manifested and destroyed it. Haruto was frightened to see his Phantom but this time he wasn't going to run away, remembering Natsumi and the professor's words. The dragon stares at him and just snarls before it vanishes. Soon after, Koyomi's cracks faded away and she regained her consciousness, happy that Haruto did it.
Tsukasa oddly smirks, happy to hear that while Wiseman is shocked, uttering in dismay. ''Impossible. How can that be?''
''You talk big for a monster that kills humans.'' Tsukasa speaks up, standing up as he adjusts his coat. ''No, a man who chose to be a monster. I had Sougo check again on what you are and you were once a mage that became this.''
This shocks Wiseman, breathing angrier. How? How could this mere human know of this?!
Tsukasa had already theorized that the Phantom was someone powerful but also one who understood magic to best the old headmaster. It only makes sense why the headmaster challenged the Phantom directly; he knew who it was too. He even asked Dragonic if there were other ways for a Phantom to be born and one got his interest.
''Dragonic confirms my suspicions. You became a Phantom by forcing despair upon you and use your magic and willpower retrain your human mind to achieve grander power.'' Tsukasa proclaims confidently, revealing how this thing manages to appear and then he reveals his goal. "You planned to turn young Mages into Phantoms and rule your world with them, turning all into Phantoms but you also did it to make yourself stronger. That's why the old headmaster fought you for he knew who you were.''
Wiseman is visibly shocked. This human is that smart just like Dai-Shocker warned him.
''… You sicken me.'' Tsukasa then utters the Phantom's confusion. ''You lie and mock the belief and love the students here had for magic, corrupting their attachments into despair and making them into your minions.''
He soon smirks as he then calls him out. ''But your plans fail in one part, one thing you never thought about…'' He eyes Haruto and proclaims. ''Hope. Hope is what caused your plan to fall apart. Because hope doesn't seek destruction or fear; it empowers those to believe and to fight for selfless actions.''
Tsukasa then points at the Phantom and tells him off, mocking his lack of what a human is now. ''A human who became a monster like you could never understand hope!''
Wiseman hisses angrily, becoming madder and furious before he utters, struggling to hold his tempt but he couldn't anymore. "You… What the hell are you?!"
Smirking, Tsukasa answers as he responds. "A passing-through Kamen Rider. Remember that!" He eyes his student and asks him. ''Haruto, what of you? What did you learn?''
Haruto eyes him, thinking for a moment before he responds. ''… That I'm still afraid of the dragon in me but I can't let it dominate me. I must be strong and believe in myself, for those who believe in me.'' He thinks of Koyomi, wanting to protect her and he can't do that if he gives in to his fears and doubts. ''That's why I can't give up or let myself submit to despair.''
He glares at the monster, proclaiming determinedly as he holds up his Flame Style Ring. ''I will stop you, headmaster. For everyone! Henshin!'' He swipes his left hand over his belt and then raises his arm to the side.
''FLAME, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as a red magical circle manifests towards his raised arm and overlaps him. ''HI-HI, HI-HI-HI!'' Haruto's small body grows within the circle, transforming him into Wizard.
Tsukasa smirks, tapping on his Rider Card twice with his index finger before thrusting it into his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE! DECADE!'' The Decadriver announces as he transforms into Decade. Both riders charge forward as Wiseman fires destructive spheres at them. Decade and Wizard run around and evade the attacks as they leap over the last ones and deliver a striking kick that knocks the Phantom backwards.
''Damn pests!'' Wiseman shouts, coming at Wizard with a swing that the rider blocks with his forearm.
''Only the strong should be victors! Only despair is strength!'' The Phantom declares as dark aura forms around him and starts pushing Wizard backwards. The rider grunts but his body erupts in flames and blasts him off him.
''Wrong!'' Wizard shouts, clenching his hands as he will not fail here. ''I want… I will protect Koyomi and everyone's hopes!''
Decade soon snickers, finding his line cliché but good enough in his books. Just then multiple cards shoot out from the Ride Booker which he catches, looks at them and picks the card that will settle this fight.
''Well said, my student.'' Decade proclaims, thrusting his card into his belt and pushes the levers forward.
''FINAL FORM RIDE!'' The Decadriver begins to announce as Decade gets behind Wizard and advises him. ''This might tickle.''
He thrusts his hands into his back and Wizard gasps as he glows and begins to reshape, growing and becoming Wizardragon. ''WIZARD!''
''RAWWWRR!'' The transformed Wizard roars loudly, flapping its wings and smacking its tail on the ground. Wiseman staggers as the dragon charges, literally headbutting him upward and then he breathes destructive flames that blasts the monster upward into the sky.
Decade hops on the dragon's back before the transformed Wizard roars and takes flight into the sky so fast that it flies past Wiseman still being launched up. It soon stops, hovering under the Phantom as Decade declares, tapping on a Rider Card. ''Time to end this nightmare.'' He dunks it inside his belt's card inserter.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade leaps up while Wizardragon begins to fold up and transforms into a giant dragon's foot. Decade soon descends, sticking out his right foot and performs a diving Rider Kick as his foot connects onto the dragon foot and they descend together with flames shearing across it. ''WIZARD!''
Wiseman watches this helpless as Decade with the attached massive dragon foot hits and stomps through him. The Phantom screams in agony before he explodes in flames. Decade crashes with the dragon foot which glows and reverts back to Wizard, panting really shocked that just happened.
''You did well, my student.'' Decade praises his growth, causing him to reply happily. ''T-Thank you, professor!''
Time passes as Tsukasa and A.R. Haruto told the school about the headmaster being the Phantom behind all of this. Even Koyomi explains her experience. This, of course, causes many of the students and professors to be speechless and in dread about the situation.
''Will the school be closed down with the headmaster gone?'' Koyomi asks with concern, hoping everyone doesn't give up on this place. It's like a home to her, wanting to become a great mage just like Haruto is becoming.
Tsukasa hums, not sure but he does say hopeful words. ''No. While you kids remember my teachings and believe in hope, your training as mages- as wizards will never end.''
This gets to both students, smiling as they say in a respectful bow. ''We will, Professor Kadoya.''
Tsukasa smirks softly, hoping they do.
''Natsumi-chan…'' Natsumi blinks, eyeing Haruto who smiles at her. ''Thank you for helping me!'' He eyes Tsukasa and thanks them both, holding Koyomi's hand. ''I won't forget what you two taught me.''
Natsumi eyes him and smiles back, happy to have helped. Soon the two kids left, going to give hope to the other students and professors to fight for the school.
''Be safe, you two!'' She shouts at the two, waving her arm as well as Jigglypuff, floating around happily. ''Jiggly!''
Once the two are gone from their view, Natsumi turns to Tsukasa and asks him. ''You think they'll be okay?''
Tsukasa doesn't answer right away, staring at the photo he took of Haruto and Koyomi staring at their school, holding hands. He smiles, trusting his hopes of this world to them.
''Why shouldn't they? As long as they support each other and remember I taught them, they'll be fine.'' Tsukasa responds carefree, knowing they'll do fine. He looks back at her and says with a soft smile. ''Thank you for helping me, Natsumikan.''
Natsumi blushes red, not wanting to tell him she did it because Haruto and Koyomi reminded her of each other but something told her he knew. Regardless, she was happy to be of help.
Tsukasa now turns towards the purple dragon, recalling their last conversation and right now is the best time to get him to talk. There's no doubt about it that what Haruto has with his dragon is similar to whatever Dragonic is hiding from them: A despair that is haunting him.
''Dragonic, I want to ask you about your despair. Maybe I can fix it.'' He begins to question him, actually wanting to help him. After all, he owes him for all he's done and all he'll do.
Dragonic, however, doesn't look at him directly, his eyes covered by the front of his fedora, as he instead advises him on other matters. ''… You have other concerns right now.''
''If you mean Dai-Shocker, we'll deal with them a world at a-'' Tsukasa begins to protest his assumption until he realizes it and turns, seeing the actual Haruto leaning on a tree and eating a doughnut. ''Oh, right.''
The dragon nods as he flies over the group. Natsumi sighs as she and the others back away. Tsukasa also sighs as he walks forward.
Haruto watches them and asks, holding up his bag of doughnuts. ''Doughnut?''
''Pass.'' Tsukasa declines. Haruto smirks, putting the bag away as he tells him, finishing his doughnut. ''When I was told you were this destroyer, I had my suspicions about you but I learned you're not what I expected.''
''Should I feel grateful?'' Tsukasa asks him with a smug smirk. Haruto gives him a look, confirming he is egoistic but it doesn't change the kind of person he is; good hearted.
''Probably.'' Haruto responds with a smile. Tsukasa just stares at him firmly, getting to the point and questions him. ''It's not going to change the fact we're going to fight?''
Frowning, Haruto nods. He's not sure why he must fight an ally but the one who brought him here advised him to do so for it is the key to helping Decade fight Dai-Shocker's leader.
''All I was told is that I had to fight you so you maybe defeat this evil version of you.'' Haruto explains to him to Tsukasa's surprise. So… he does want to help him. Why? Does he fear Dark Decade that much?
''Can't be helped.'' Tsukasa utters out, already strapping on the Decadriver and smirks. ''I'll admit, I might enjoy fighting you, Hopesie Wizard.''
''Likewise, Destroyer-san.'' Haruto responds with a smirk, flipping his red ring as his Wizardriver manifests.
The two stare down as Tsukasa thrusts a Rider Card.
''KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces while Haruto swipes the center of his belt with his left hand. ''FLAME, PLEASE!''
''Henshin!'' Both shout as they begin to transform and charge at the other. They each swing a punch as they transform into their rider forms and clash with Decade's fist being caught by Wizard's palm. Swirls of energy surround them as they back away from the other and come swinging again. They precisely evade the other's attacks, circling around the other to deliver a blow but none come close until they swing their kick and clash.
Their kicks connect, pushing the other until they're pushed back by their colliding power. Wizard flaps his back coat tail as he swipes his right handed ring over his belt.
''CONNECT, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as a magical portal manifests and Wizard reaches in, pulling out his WizarSwordGun in sword form. Decade scoffs as he wields the Ride Booker in sword form. The two charge at the other and swing at the other only to evade or block the other's swords with precision, sparks flying everywhere.
Natsumi watches astonished as this is the first time Tsukasa since Tendo that he's fighting this tactically. She can tell Haruto is no ordinary fighter with his sword swings and reflexes.
The two soon back away as Wizard swipes his right hand with a new ring on it.
''COPY, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as two magical circles manifest, one under him, as they move upward and creates a second Wizard. They then did the same thing, swiping their right hands over the belt. ''COPY, PLEASE!''
4 circles manifest and two float upward on the two Wizards, creating two more copies. Then all four do the same thing. ''COPY, PLEASE! COPY, PLEASE! COPY, PLEASE!''
Decade watches as there are now 32 Wizards. He whistles as each Wizard twirls their WizarSwordGuns into gun form and takes aim, firing a barrier of magical bullets towards him. Decade doesn't waste time, dunking a card in as the Decadriver announces. "ATTACK RIDE! BARRIER!"
A magenta energy barrier surrounds him and blocks the bullets with ease. He then dunks another card into his belt.
''ATTACK RIDE! ILLUSION!'' The Decadriver announces as the barrier fades away and now 4 extra Decades appear with the original. They twirl their Ride Booker in gun form and take aim, each sliding another card into the belt.
''ATTACK RIDE! BLAST!'' The Decadriver announces as they unleash rapid energy shots forward. The Wizards counter with their own shots and overpowers them before the magenta energy shots consume and destroy all of the Wizard copies.
Everyone braces as smoke covers the whole area. Decade watches, flipping his gun back to sword form as he sees a figure in the smoke. Wizard shoots out of the smoke in the red Flame Dragon form but now wearing the Draco Timer. He taps on it with the palm of his other hand as the device announces. ''START UP!''
Wizard then dashes forward like a shearing fireball that Decade evades and comes swinging at his back only for a blast of water shooting from underneath.
''WATER DRAGON!'' Emerging out of the water is another Wizard, in the blue Water Dragon form, as he swings with his own sword. Decade blocks it but it pushes him back as a swirl of wind gathers around him.
''HURRICANE DRAGON!'' Flying around Decade is another Wizard, in the green Hurricane Dragon form, as he fires energy bullets from his weapon. They hit and sparks fly out from Decade so much that the wind also sends him flying towards a pillar that comes out from the ground.
''LAND DRAGON!'' Smashing through the pillar is another Wizard, in the yellow Land Dragon form, as he slashes Decade and then palm strikes him so hard it launches the magenta colored rider away.
Decade crashes hard on the ground, rolling around before he jumps back up on his feet. He breathes heavily, looking forward as he stares down at the four Wizards approaching him calmly.
''Just my luck…'' Decade mutters, not expecting he can make actual clones that act on their own. He snickers as this fight will require to fight dragon with dragon.
He pulls out a Rider Card and slides it into his belt.
''KAMEN RIDE! RYUKI!'' The Decadriver announces while Decade swipes his hands, transform into Ryuki. He then pulls out two more Rider Cards and slides them in as he charges forward.
''ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade-Ryuki gains both his sword and blaster hand. ''SWORD VENT! STRIKE VENT!''
He begins firing from the blaster, shooting fireballs that Wizard Water Dragon deflects with water waves. Decade-Ryuki still charges, swinging only for Flame Dragon and Land Dragon to block and push him back to let Hurricane Dragon fire multiple shots across him and send him crashing onto the ground hard. He crashes hard as the sword is flung and hits the ground before him.
Natsumi gasps but then Decade-Ryuki stands up quickly, brushing off the damage before he snaps his fingers. Multiple Aurora Curtains appear over the sky and dropping from them are cars. The four Wizards quickly swing their swords, firing energy waves that destroy them but their pieces still scatter around the area. Decade has everything he needs as he slides another Rider Card into his belt before picking up the sword.
''ATTACK RIDE! ADVENT!'' The Decadriver announces as a Dragreder appears around Decade-Ryuki, roaring, as it flies at the 4 Wizards. They attack with energy slashes but the Mirror Dragon rams through the beams with ease before slamming itself around them.
''Good call. Dragreder is nearly invincible. It can't be destroyed and nothing can stop it.'' Sougo proclaims, praising Tsukasa's strategy. Wizard grunts as Water Dragon turns into water, shooting out fast right to Wizard-Ryuki to take him out but suddenly he vanishes. Water Dragon reforms in shock before he's suddenly slashed and destroyed by Decade-Ryuki appearing out of nowhere from behind.
This shocks the other Wizards, still dodging around the dragons as Hurricane Dragon shoots more shots but like before, Decade-Ryuki vanishes instantly. A single second pass as Decade-Ryuki appears from behind and slashes Hurricane Dragon into nothing.
''Plus Tsukasa is abusing the power to enter the Mirror World again to overcome his odds into his advantage.'' Dragonic then comments, revealing how he's disappearing and reappearing out of thin air.
Natsumi gasps, realizing the cars that Tsukasa dropped were meant to create a surrounding reflection to abuse the Ryuki transformation to zig-zag in and out of the Mirror World with insane speed. She smiles, finding that so amazing since he used something similar against Shinji.
Decade-Ryuki soon vanishes and instantly slashes down both Flame and Land Dragons as Dragrade spits out multiple fireballs at them. Land Dragon is destroyed while Flame Dragon absorbs the blast but then he's slashed by Decade-Ryuki again, slamming him onto the ground. Decade soon vanishes and reappears on the ground, taunting his opponent. ''Don't tell me that was all you got?''
Grunting, Wizard stands back up. He breathes, not expecting Decade to hold any punches but he's strong, really strong. Still, that won't stop him; it will never stop him as he stabs the WizarSwordGun on the ground and switches his left ring with a different Wizard ring; a light blue-silver ring shaped like a diamond.
''Like I said, I'm the final hope.'' Wizard begins to proclaim, flipping the right lever. ''That's why I won't give up! Ever!'' He soon swipes his left hand over his belt as it begins to shine brightly.
''INFINITY, PLEASE!'' The Wizardriver announces as the light wraps around him as Wizard's body is enclosed in a silver reflecting crystal. "HI-SUI-FU-DO, BOU-ZABA-BYU-DOGON!" The crystal shatters and Wizard emerges, now transformed into the bright Infinity Style form.
''He's like a diamond…'' Natsumi mutters, finding him beautiful. Decade-Ryuki scoffs as he fires another fireball shot while Dragrade breathes multiple fireballs too. Wizard stands there as the flames hit him and they repel into nothing, even reflecting them back at them.
''What?'' Decade utters, pushed back as well as the Mirror Monster.
''Absol!'' Layla barks, warning him that Wizard's final form can deflect attacks. Decade-Ryuki scoffs as Wizard then calls out, raising his right hand forward. ''Come, dragon!''
Swirls of bright energy taking the form of a dragon swirls around Wizard before hitting his hand and becoming the Axcalibur. Decade-Ryuki begins to vanish just as Wizard swipes his left hand over his belt again.
''INFINITY!'' The Wizardriver chants as Wizard suddenly dashes with blinding speed so fast that as Decade-Ryuki is trying to reach a reflection to go inside the Mirror World; he's already slashed away by Wizard who swings his mighty axe and slashes him again. Sparks fly out across Decade over and over before Wizard performs a somersaulting kick and launches him through a broken card and smashes through it. Dragrade comes diving at Wizard who dashes around the monster, slashing it multiple times before it crashes hard onto the ground.
''He matched up to the lightspeed movement of Ryuki!'' Dragonic proclaims, astonished by Wizard's Infinity power.
''Tch.'' Decade, reverted back to base, grunts as he pulls himself up. This guy is no pushover, pulling out a K-Touch. ''Fine by me.'' He swaps it with the Decadriver and presses the button.
"KUUGA, AGITO, RYUKI, FAIZ, BLADE, HIBIKI, KABUTO, DEN-O, KIVA!'' The K-Touch announces one by one of each main rider's names as their logos glow until they all flash, including the Decade one. Decade then presses on the F letter on the screen. ''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!'' Decade glows and transforms into his true form. ''DECADE! COMPLETE!''
Wizard snickers, wondering when he would go all out. He dashes forward with light speed but this time, Decade dodges by an Aurora Curtain sucking him away. This startles Wizard, stopping on his tracks and turns as the portal appears from behind and Decade emerges, tapping on a Rider Card.
''Let's try this again.'' He declares, thrusting the card into the Decadriver on his right waist.
''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade transforms into Ryuki's Final form. ''RYUKI SURVIVE!'' He manifests and wields a fake Dragvisorzwei. Dragreder flies off the ground and transforms into the more powerful Dragranzer. The dragon roars, breathing destructive flames at Wizard who dashes around with Infinity speed only to get intercepted by Decade-Ryuki's lightspeed movement to the Mirror World, grabbing Wizard and thrusts him inside the world.
The others watch as only the Mirror Monster is present for a few moments before suddenly Wizard reappears, crashing through the ground and rolling away as Decade-Ryuki lands on the ground.
Wizard gets up fast as Decade comes charging, swinging his sword but the mage rider twirls his axe into sword form. ''TURN ON!'' They clash swings but then Wizard is bashed by Dragranzer, slamming him back roughly. Wizard pants as he's losing too much mana. He can't keep this up for long; he must end this.
He twirls the sword back to axe form and taps on the hand attachment of his weapon, announcing. ''HIGH TOUCH! SHINING STRIKE!''
The Axcalibur begins to release a rainbow glow as he twirls the weapon around, over and over as it begins to enlarge, growing in size. ''KIRAKIRA! KIRAKIRA!''
Decade oddly snickers, thrusting a card into his belt as Dragranzer swirls around him.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE! RYUKI!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade-Ryuki takes aim with the Dragvisorzwei, charging up a beam of energy. Wizard soon swings downward with his massive axe, coated in bright energy as Decade-Ryuki fires its beam as well as Dragranzer firing a destructive flame blast. The two attacks clash and explode on impact, consuming the area in smoke.
Everyone braces themselves as the explosion was pretty strong. It soon dissolves, smoke blowing away as both Decade Complete and Wizard Infinity still both stand their ground. Dragranzer is gone but so was Wizard's Axcalibur.
''You done?'' Decade questions him, sounding drained. Wizard snickers, also pretty drained as he switches rings in his right hand, this time being a pink ring.
''Like I said…'' Wizard begins to say strongly as he swipes his right hand over his belt. ''I refuse to give up!''
''LEPARCHI MAGIC TOUCH GO!'' The Wizardriver begins to announce, repeating that phrase 4 times. Wizard twirls around once, getting in a crouching pose. Multiple magical circles overlap around Wizard, feeling her presence and asking of her. ''One more time… Koyomi, grant me hope.''
''VERY NICE! FINISH STRIKE!'' The Wizardriver announces as the magical circles become one and grow in size. ''THE BEST!''
Decade knows better that this last attack will settle it, dunking a Rider Card into the Decadriver.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as holographic cards manifests in a row before Decade Complete.
The two riders lock at each other before they leap up. The Holographic cards follow Decade while Wizard glows and transforms into Infinity Dragon form. He somersaults, performing a Rider Kick as does Decade, magenta energy streaming across his foot. ''DECADE!''
The two collide and clash kicks, sparks of energies consuming them and then explodes. Emerging out is Decade, landing on the ground while Wizard comes out and falls, dropping onto the ground. Decade Complete breathes heavily, de-transformed as he approaches Wizard who also de-transforms.
''…'' Tsukasa stares down at Haruto, breathing weakly as he gazes at the pink Wizard Ring. Hearing what he said and how worried he was for the little girl; Tsukasa begins to ask. ''So your Koyomi… She didn't have a happy ending.''
''… To her, it was.'' Haruto corrects him as he smiles sadly. ''For me, it's something I can't forget.''
He closes his eyes, feeling her presence for a moment. Haruto opens his eyes, looking at Tsukasa.
''Listen…'' He begins to tell the so-called Destroyer, asking him. ''This may be wrong of me but I'm asking you that you can't let Dark Decade win. I know you won't but promise me...''
Tsukasa looks at him and kneels down to the defeated rider whose body begins to glow.
''I'll carry on your final hope. You can count on me, Haruto.'' Tsukasa vows to him, not going to fail him. Haruto eyes him and smiles before his body erupts into sparks of light, fading away.
Natsumi frowns, imagining each win is like a torture to Tsukasa.
''…'' Tsukasa remains silent, clenching his fist before he stands up and orders the purple dragon. ''Next world, Dragonic. I have promises to keep.''
''Of course.'' The dragon tells him, adjusting his fedora as he flies towards the Hikari Studio. They follow him while Tsukasa eyes Natsumi with concern for what Doctor Shinigami said about her. Is he messing with him… or- No, he'll have to be more cautious.
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) This is now full on Fanfic territory, using elements from the Decade series from the TV Series, Movies and even Novels (which I already used so yea).
2) Did you know Kamen Rider Wizard was going to be like Harry Potter but it was changed because of Harry Potter and also Japan recovering from that tragedy? Maybe if it was like Harry Potter, it could have helped Wizard overall? Maybe… BUT I enjoy and love Wizard. It is SO awesome even though the plot sucks and many of the filler episodes are not great; just Haruto and him kicking ass and his speeches about Hope are good enough for me. Anyway, A.R. World of Wizard is basically Harry Potter, sort of. Also Wiseman here is more interesting than the original/real version. And yes, using kids like the World of the Magic Stone but like this works.
3) Speaking of, I like Haruto A LOT. Yeah, a lot of people don't like him but I DO. Haruto is like that cool older brother you always wanted and always has some humor but changes his attitude when the situation demands it. He's great! And his talk about "The last Hope" works so well. I love that kind of stuff. Plus, his Wizard Rings are one of my favorite gimmick, each one full of surprises and you can easily give him new ones past the ones he only has in the series. Fan made ones I mean.
4) Tsukasa acting like Professor Snape is funny. I think it would be one of actual Tsukasa's favorite characters: Cold, dark character who's actually a good person. Reminds him of someone hmm, himself!
5) I wonder why Doctor Shinigami is interested in Natsumi hmm?
The A.R. World of Wizard went well great! I actually liked! It was cool.
Anyway… 2 weeks from now… We'll decide our fate on this stage on the A.R. World of Gaim. See you there!
