This is Chapter 12 of Tales of the Decade Second Season. Please enjoy it like a fan for Kamen Rider.
Chapter 12: World of Fear and Resolve
Still in the A.R World of Build, inside the Hikari Studio, the group has been silent for a while. Layla whines while Jigglypuff feels bad not doing anything. "Jiggly…"
Absol grunts, not believing Kiva-la was a spy. Then again, she was one too so… could she too still be their ally?
Sougo is sitting with his arms crossed while Dragonic is floating in the air, staring at the backdrop of the restaurant. Tsukasa stares at his back, looking so pissed as they're not doing anything but standing around like idiots while Natsumi is who knows where; wanting to be saved.
Gritting his teeth, he breaks the silence as he orders the dragon. "Dragonic, take me there now where Natsumi is!"
The dragon doesn't answer, checking the wall and dimensional connection it has to the other worlds.
"You can't go there, not yet!" Sougo tells him and immediately Tsukasa gives him a death glare and tells him off. "No one asked for your opinion!"
Sougo staggers with an irritated expression, almost murderous but he calms down before replying with a relaxed voice. "… You're missing 1 more Rider. You will not be able to achieve a new, truly completed Decade."
That means nothing to Tsukasa; caring more for the girl who's always supported him more than what new powers he could gain. If not for her; Decade would never have become a hero.
"Dragonic!'' Tsukasa yells at the dragon again, needing his help as even he doesn't know where to start to find the World of Negative.
"…" Dragonic still doesn't reply but he does turn around, eyeing Sougo. The small dragon flies up to him and responds to his last statement. "But true growth happens through overwhelming the odds and risking everything.''
Sougo doesn't even reply as the dragon smirks as he then flies up to Tsukasa and tells him with a hopeful voice. "Tsukasa, let's go to World of Negative and save Natsumi-chan and finally, defeat Dark Decade!"
Tsukasa stares at him before he curls a smirk, nodding.
''Absol!'' Layla barks excitedly while Jigglypuff cries joyfully. "Jiggly!"
Sougo, however, just sighs, not having a choice as he complains. ''Fine. Guess I can't change your mind."
"Absol!" Layla barks, saying that only Tsukasa can change his own mind on his own journey. Tsukasa smiles a bit, agreeing as he says. "You're right Layla. Now let's hurry and go!"
''First I gotta find the world.'' Dragonic mutters to everyone surprised. ''What? I've been trying since we got back and no luck. Just give me time."
Tsukasa, Layla and Jigglypuff sweat drop; realizing it makes sense he's been trying all this time. Sighing, Tsukasa has no choice but to wait as he tells himself with a determined face. "Just hold on, Natsumikan."
Unaware of the others, Sougo pulls out his Ridewatch and presses its button three times.
In the Dai-Shocker palace within the World of Negative, Natsumi grunts with her arms crossed inside a small energy cage. She frowns, tapping her short high heels shoes as she looks through the transparent barrier sealing her but she can see where she was. It's a laboratory but it's a huge mess. There's many inventions, science stuff and white boards showing equations and designs. One of them resembles weapons for Dai-Shocker soldiers, another is a black K-Touch… but among the many boards is the drawing of a strange sword weapon that has similar designs to Decade.
Natsumi narrows her eyes as she hears hiccups and sees the Fangire drinking something while listening to some kind of electronic pocket watch device. She frowns as she complains to him, trying to act strong but obviously scared. "L-let me out already!"
No response. This causes her to grunt as she further complains, pressing the palm of her hands on the surface of the barrier she's kept in. "I am really uncomfortable in small spaces!"
Once more, no response from the Fangire. She groans even more as she yells at him. "Hey! I'm talking to-''
The madman Fangire soon puts away the device, already decrypting the message as he turns around and apologizes with a hiccup. "My apology, Natsumi dear."
She gulps as the monster scientist floats swiftly right in front of her; the barrier in between them as he reaches and grabs the surface of it with the palm of his frightening claws.
"Let me ask you but you're still afraid of folklore monsters, yes? Like the Kappa or the Nuppeppo or the Kuchisake-onna or-'' He begins to ask her which Natsumi freaks out and pleads to him with her hand pressed in a prayer. "OKAY STOP! You got me with Kappa!"
She then blinks, puzzled as not many people know about her fear of folklore monsters. Just her family, Tsukasa, Layla and Dragonic.
"How do you know that?" She asks him, puzzled. Doctor Shinigami just chuckles, letting out more hiccups before he responds. ''Oh I know so many things about you."
He backs away as he proclaims as the small container she's in is currently scanning her body and DNA and gathering all that data into his supercomputer.
"And you have nothing to fear. I won't kill you. I just want to run a few tests and wait till Decade comes and try to save you." The Fangire scientist explains with a snicker before he gasps in pain. This alarms Natsumi as he's almost in pain or something.
He breathes heavily, gripping on his right claw as it shakes violently. He just snickers as he tells Natsumi. ''Now if you excuse me… I have to do… a thing.'' He floats away in a hurry.
Natsumi watches him leave before she sighs, sitting down on the bench in the cell. She frowns, really not liking this but all she can hope is that- No, Tsukasa will come for her. She knows he will.
"Tsukasa-kun…" She mutters, just hoping he doesn't come late. She looks through the portal and is startled to see Kiva-la hovering on the other side of the barrier. She frowns, surprised she was the enemy's spy but much like Layla; there has to be reason.
"Kiva-la, why?" She asks the robotic bat who coos and expresses happily but not cruel or uncaring. "It's not personal, Natsumi-chan~." She oddly doesn't giggle as she stares at the girl looking back at her and responds with a calmer tone unlike her regular voice. "You'll understand soon. That's all I can say."
Natsumi looks at her back, very confused by what she meant but guess she'll find out soon.
Selina purrs, eating a berry as Kaito is biting on a sea cucumber sandwich. They're in Natsumi's World- the new World of Decade as he's plotting out his next plan… or rather hiding. Even the Purrloin can see through him, acting cowardly.
''Nyan~" She taunts him with a small neko smirk that he's a scaredy cat. This got to Daiki, calling her out. "What? You also think I'm scared too?"
Selina just smirks, whistling as if to say he is.
"Tch…" Kaito scoffs at her nonsense before he tells her firmly. "You know my story already."
Selina lets out a meow-like sigh, fully aware of that story. After all, she was there from the start.
''COME BACK YOU THIEVING CAT!" Yelling out furiously, a young Daiki Kaito is chasing after the Purrloin who stole a few things from people around his small village town. It was a quiet yet peaceful small town where barely anything happens other than this wild cat stealing stuff. Daiki, being a young police officer in-training, had been trying to catch this thieving cat for a while and finally managed to corner her.
"Honestly, stop stealing what doesn't belong to you." He lectured the Purrloin who scoffed, crossing her tiny arms and looking away. Daiki sighed, wishing she wasn't so stubborn and stopped stealing things that don't belong to her.
''Still going after this cat huh, Daiki?" Daiki blinked, turning and approaching him with his older brother, Junichi, smiling. The younger sibling looked up to his brother, being a great cop even in a small town like this. He could become a great officer in the big city but Junichi never cared about it; only caring about protecting what's close to him.
"Nii-san." Daiki muttered with a bright face, not meaning to waste precious he could be doing but Junichi just chuckling, expressing that he was doing what any real office would do. This causes Daiki to smile.
"Come on, the family is waiting for us." Junichi told him with a smile, needing to do something before he returned home. Daiki nodded as they parted ways as he dragged the cat by a leash. He felt bad just caging her and this was better than nothing.
"Nyan~Nyan…" Purrloin purred, really hungry which irritated Daiki who questioned her. "You want food, seriously?!"
Purrloin made an innocent, cute kitty face, pleading to him for food. Grunting as he checked his watch, Daiki really wanted to get home but guessed he'll do this fast.
''… Fine." He agreed to her plea as the cat purred joyfully but he warned her. "But stop trying to steal other people's stuff. They're their treasures.''
Purrloin purred, lifting her right paw up but her left paw was behind her back with crossed paw fingers.
Daiki sighed as he took her to the police station where he had a can of tuna he was going to eat but might as well give it to her. He served the meal in a tray and placed it on the ground before her.
"Here you go." He said, watching when she'll eat. Purrloin hummed, not so much a fish cat but she was still hungry so she ate it up in a few, big bites. Daiki sweat drops as he asks her. "Happy?''
The Purrloin purred, licking her lips as she enjoyed that. Daiki smiled as he can now-
Just then explosions are heard, shaking the building they were in. This alarmed the two as Daiki rushed outside first and his eyes widened. Upon the darkened night sky and even the ground are hundreds if not thousands of strange black-white colored portals resembling a reflection appearing across his view and emerging them are different kinds of monsters. The purple cat ran outside beside him and dropped her jaw to see the mess as these monsters were attacking and making terror.
''W-what the hell?!" Daiki uttered, seeing this all as a bad War of the Worlds that the invaders won and conquered the planet but this felt a bit too much for his taste. "W-what is going on…" He then paused and remembered about his family. Not even thinking twice, he ran for it to the Purrloin's shock.
"I have to reach them!" He told himself mentally, growing even more worrying as he ran past the destruction and chaos happening around him. She groaned, stubborn but she ultimately chased after him on all fours.
His town is literally being set in flames, people fleeing only to get captured by this unknown enemy. As a duty of an officer, Daiki had to help his people but right now, all that mattered to him the most was- was!
As he reached his home, Daiki immediately stopped. The Purrloin bumped onto his leg and blinked on why he stopped. She looked ahead of them and her expression said it all.
"No…" Uttering as his face is filled with dread, Daiki had a terrified expression as he stared at the burning of his family household. It was consumed in hellish flames, everything… and worst his eyes were more fixed on towards the burning bodies inside.
Junichi arrived, breathing heavily and frowned angrily at this sight,. Daiki dropped on his knees, grabbing onto the side of his head before he lost it in echoing screams. "NO!"
"…" Kaito remains quiet, recalling that… bad memory. He ignores those thoughts as he proclaims. ''Let's go to the next world. Tsukasa-san will be there so I can get in his way a little."
Selina just stares at him and sighs, nodding. Daiki snaps his fingers, forming an Aurora Curtain and the two walk inside of it, teleporting them to the 10th Neo Heisei A.R. World.
It doesn't take him long for them to arrive in said world and what they've stepped onto is not what they expected.
"N-Nyan…" Selina begins purring, rather unease as even Daiki didn't see this coming. "T-this is not what I expected."
They're starting upon a desert world like the apocalypse already arrived. They can see upon the horizon are destroyed cities and dried up land.
"There's… nothing." Daiki utters in dismay, finding it all so familiar yet even more depressing. Is this… the World of Zi-O? That can't be. He looks around and no one is seen.
"And Tsukasa-san isn't even here. Or that Zi-O." He mutters, wondering what's taking them so long to come and fix whatever hit this world.
"… Zi…O." Daiki startles heavily while Selina panics. The two turn around and watch as a male figure approaches them, wearing a raggy, torn-up cloak. He's wearing a pair of goggles before he asks them coldly. "Are you an ally of Zi-O?"
Selina hums puzzled by how weird this guy is.
"I barely know the guy." Kaito responds uncaringly with a raised eyebrow. "So who are you?"
The man pulls out a Ridewatch and twirls the faceplate before pressing the button.
''GEIZ!" The Ridewatch announces firmly as the man then says, pulling up his goggles and shows that his eyelids are almost bloody with dry blood. ''Any ally of Zi-O will be destroyed." He proclaims as he slides on the Ridewatch on the right slot of a Ziku Driver he's already wearing. Daiki recognizes that belt in surprise; the same that Zi-O wears.
He then bangs on the top of the Driver, on the button, as it begins to ring a tick-down song. Then a gray-black-red energy holographic image of a stopwatch-like clock forms, dialing to 0 for the 4 digitals. As they tick down, he extends his arms forward over the belt; one hand on top and the other on the bottom as he clenches them. He then twirls his arms around in a certain manner until they overlap and both hands are gripping the opposite ends of the belt than what they were holding forward.
"Henshin." He declares coldly, twirling the Ziku Driver as it spins around counterclockwise and stopping, triggering its power.
"RIDER TIME!" The Ziku Driver announces as the holographic stopwatch manifests a Kanji-like shape resembling a yellow visor as circular 3 rings, overlapping together to resemble a sphere, forms around him and a bright red light glows within him.
"KAMEN RIDER~!" The driver chants excitedly, transforming him into his Rider form as the rings blow away just as the visor-like symbols separate themselves, flying in front of him and as the rider suit forms; those visor parts fly and shrink down, attaching themselves to his face helmet to become his yellow visor. ''GEIZ!"
Selina startles as she and a cautious Daiki stare upon a red, black-gray armored patched rider with some yellow lining and the yellow Kanji visor helmet.
Kaito stares cautiously as the transformed rider suddenly charges at him with a pierce punch that he barely dodges.
''Nyan-Nyan!'' The Purrloin meows in a panic, ordering him to transform with Daiki pulling out his Diendriver and Rider Card. "I know!"
He faces Geiz who comes at him again but Daiki fires multiple shots, stunning him.
"I got this alright." He tells the purple cat mon as he slides in and loads his Rider Card before taking once more aim at the rider. "As for you, I'm taking that watch. Henshin!" He fires the trigger, shooting out an energy shot that Geiz rolls but the bolt of energy redirects in a U-turn towards its wielder.
"KAMEN RIDE! DIEND!" The Diendriver announces as the beam becomes 3 waves that overlap around Kaito and transforms him into Diend. He twirls his gun before he fires multiple shots that Geiz slashes down with his personal ax weapon, the Zikan Zax.
Diend still fires multiple shots as he dashes around his target, still firing. Geiz repels the first hits before rolling and evading the other shots. Geiz then flips the one half of his weapon and raises the handle of the weapon to change the weapon into a small bow-like weapon as he fires piercing energy shots, cutting through Diend's attacks and hitting him directly. The shot blasts him backwards, sparks flying out as he crashes hard onto the ground.
"That… actually hurt." Grunting as he stands up, Diend mutters as he brushes off the dirt on his chest before he dashes right up to Geiz and stomp kicks him backwards. He then pulls out 3 Rider Cards from his belt and slides them in his gun, loading them.
"KAMEN RIDE! GILLS! DELTA! ZOLDA!" The Diendriver announces while Diend raises his gun at Geiz without looking and fires 3 shots. They shoot forward as Geiz switches his weapon back to Axe form, slashing down the first 2 attacks and blocking the 3rd as it becomes Gills. The holographic summoned rider shrieks, swinging its wrist blades at Geiz who gets hit and sparks fly out. Then Delta fires powerful shots from its gun, further sparks flying out from Geiz's back and launching him into the air. Then Zolda fires a destructive blast from its large cannon weapon with missiles, hitting Geiz and exploding on impact.
Diend snickers as Geiz crashes on the ground and he taunts him. ''How's that?''
Geiz, standing up with heavy breaths, doesn't respond as he pulls out a different Ridewatch, twirling the face plate before pressing on it.
''ACCEL!" The device announces as he slides it in the left slot of the Ziku Driver, tapping on the top again and spins it counter clockwise with the same hand movement.
"ARMOR TIME!" The Ziku Driver announces as dashing out of nowhere is Accel in bike form. It swirls and curves around Geiz, blocking attacks from the summoned riders before its whole body is consumed in steaming heat. It then explodes and its pieces attach themselves onto Geiz as armor. The visor shape of Geiz remains the same but the Kanji is now spelled out resembling "Accel" as he wields a unique weapon resembling Accel's Engine Blade. "ACCEL!"
Geiz immediately comes at him with a burst of speed right at the fake Gills and slashes him once before he dissolves into nothing. Delta fires precise shots that Geiz slashes and repels them while Zolda fires a powerful cannon shot that Geiz dodges by leaping over it. He then rockets forward through the shoulder jet back rockets and he slashes them both instantly, dissolving them.
Diend scoffs as Geiz comes at him but he dodges around his slashes and backs away, sliding and loading 3 more Rider Cards into his gun.
"KAMEN RIDE! LEANGLE! ZANKI! DRAKE!" The Diendriver announces as Diend fires 3 more shots, transforming into new riders. Leangle immediately leaps at Geiz with a downward swing of his staff but he dodges and then blocks a swing of Zanki's guitar weapon but not the multiple shots from Drake.
It staggers Geiz back as both Leangle and Zanki then slash him and Drake uses Clock Up to punch him soon after, slamming him backwards.
The red rider holds his ground as he pulls out another Ridewatch, twirling it before pressing its button. "BARON!" He then slides it to the left slot, swapping it with the Accel Ridewatch before tapping the top and spins it around.
"ARMOR TIME!" The Ziku Driver announces as a large Lockseed armor forms above him, resembling a banana. The Accel armor vanishes as the Lockseed armor unfolds and attaches itself onto Geiz as new armor resembling Baron's designs. The visor shape of Geiz remains the same but the Kanji is now spelled out resembling "Baron" as he wields a similar weapon to Baron's Bana Spear. "BARON!"
Empowered, Geiz charges again as he thrusts his spear through Zanki who blocks with his weapon only for it to be pierced and snapped in half. Leangle tries to attack Geiz's back as Drake fires a shot but Geiz manifests another spear and twirls around, thrusting that spear through Leangle as well as using Zanki's body as a shield to block Drake's shots. Geiz then spins and launches both stabbed riders at Drake who dodges them only to get stabbed twice by Geiz throwing both spears through him. All 3 Riders soon dissolved and vanished.
Diend actually grunts, pulling out 3 more rider cards and loads them in.
"KAMEN RIDE! NEW DEN-O! REY! KUUGA!'' The Diendriver announces as Diend fires 3 more shots, transforming into the summoned riders.
Not wasting any more time, Geiz pulls out a third Ridewatch, twirling it and presses its button. "CROSS-Z!" He proceeds to slide it onto the left slot, switching it with the Baron Ridewatch before he taps the top of the driver and spins it around.
"ARMOR TIME!" The Ziku Driver announces as Geiz's current armor vanishes and two halfbodies resembling Cross-Z manifests on his front and back. They slam themselves onto him, transforming into his new armor that resembles the dragon Build rider. The visor shape of Geiz remains the same but the Kanji is now spelled out resembling "Cross-Z" as he wields a similar weapon to Cross-Z's Beat Closer. "CROSS-Z!"
Geiz then pulls out the Cross-Z Ridewatch and inserts it in the center of the weapon that has a slot for Ridewatch. He presses the button on the Geiz's Ridewatch as he extends the sword back, taking aim.
''FINISH TIME!'' The weapon announces with the same voice as the Ziku Driver as Geiz swings it forward and fires a blue fiery energy wave that immediately becomes a dragon with yellow eyes and it roars, flying right at Diend and the other summoned riders. They try attacking it but the dragon phases through all of their attacks and hits them all, exploding in massive flames. ''CROSS-Z!''
Selina drops her jaw in shock as Diend is shot out of the flames, gasping heavily. This is actually a first to face someone with gimmicks similar to his and probably stronger. But the pure brutality from this Geiz is unreal. It's like he's some kind of monster.
"How is this guy this strong?'' He questions, not sure what could help him right now. Geiz comes at him, not even wasting time until a grenade is thrown right in front of him and explodes, revealing to be a smoke bomb. This confuses Diend and the Purrloin as a voice calls out. ''This way!"
Diend turns and sees a robed figure, waving at him to come. Debating about it for a moment… yea, he should retreat and figure things out.
Geiz quickly comes out from the smoke but Died is ready for him, sliding in a new card into his driver and loads it in.
"ATTACK RIDE! DIEND BLAST!" The Diendriver announces as Diend takes aim and fires a barrage of energy shots onto the ground, creating a larger smoke cloud between them. Geiz just dashes through the smoke and sees no one on the other side. He got away.
Grunting madly almost like a beast, Geiz lets out a shrieking shout, making a furious pose. "COME BACK AND FACE ME!"
Kaito and Selina managed to get away from the battle hungry rider thanks to the young woman with long black hair. She calls herself Tsukuyomi as she leads them inside a hidden hideout. It looked abandoned with scraps of food around… something Kaito has experienced too.
"Thanks for the save." He thanked her, not that he couldn't take on Geiz but something told him he was still holding back. He eyes the quiet girl, not saying a word as if she wasn't depressed. Selina frowns, pulling on Kaito's pants leg to say something. Rolling his eyes, he does so asking her. "Tsukuyomi, was it? What happened to this world?"
Looking back at him, she answers him saddened. "… It was him who did it all, why Geiz became the way he is."
"Him?" Kaito mutters puzzled. Tsukuyomi frowns, not surprised he doesn't know as she reveals to him. "He is called the Demon King, a being above all riders."
Kaito hums, never heard of this king indeed.
"So this being is the same Zi-O is trying to stop?" He then asks her only for Tsukuyomi to look away and just says. ''Zi-O… he was responsible for the rise of the Demon King."
"… I see." He says, getting the ''gist'' of it. It seems Zi-O failed his world from this Demon King, no doubt it's the Great Leader. Just like his world, he's brought misery and hopelessness to this world like he's already done on his own. At least it confirms that Dark Decade is behind all of this after all and this is as much Zi-O's failure, likely losing the fight.
"And Geiz?" He then asks her as she turns back to face him and explains with a frown. "He lost his friends and family, everything that gave him meaning. I'm all that remains but Geiz gave in to his despair and hatred. Now he is a mindless avenger who must kill the Demon King and any who considers to be an ally of his. Any and all will be destroyed at all cost to save us."
"… I can relate." Daiki begins to say in agreement, recalling the events that led him to the man he is without a world… or a family.
Months had passed that Daiki's world was invaded by the ones called Dai-Shocker and their Great Leader, the one called the Conqueror of Worlds. From what Junichi uncovered; this conqueror has been conquering other worlds and their world is his next sight. He formed a resistance to oppose this Great Leader and saved their world… but Junichi refused to let Daiki participate in any of their missions.
''Nii-san!" Daiki complained loudly as the Purrloin was eating her daily can of tuna. "Please let me help you guys with the plan!" He began to lose himself, hating every moment that they had to hide and crawl around just to get any amount of rations or food to survive the night but most importantly was what Dai-Shocker did to their world. "This is my world too! After what he did to our people, to our family-''
Placing his hands on his brother's shoulders, Junichi protested his pleas. "And that's why you're not coming, Daiki. You're too invested for revenge."
This upset Daiki greatly, wanting nothing more but to avenge the death of his family; not just do anything when all he had is lost and all he wanted is to take back what was stolen.
''B-But!" He tried to protest but Junichi shook his head, trying to smile towards him. ''You'll be fine here."
Daiki looked down, depressed but he didn't get a say. He watched as the others including his brother headed out for the mission.
So he sat there with the purple cat, sitting there for about half an hour since they left and he can't help but want to go out and help too. Purrloin could tell he was annoyed as she purred in a taunt. ''Nyan~''
Daiki gave her a narrow glare and told her off madly. ''Nobody asked for your opinion! I want to help restore our world too!"
Not thinking twice, he ran off. Purrloin sighed as she hopped inside his survival backpack. Daiki ran out of the hideout, following the route the group were going. He was careful to avoid Dai-Shocker minions, roaming around the reshaped town, altered by the evil organization to their liking.
Soon he arrived at the building that the group would have intercepted and surprise attacked an arriving group of Dai-Shocker that the so-called Great Leader would have traveled. He approached the building, going to help them to put an end to the Great Leader.
However, as he approached the building, it suddenly glowed and erupted in a torrent explosion. Daiki was pushed back as he and the Purrloin poking her head out of the back stared in shock to see the building consumed in flames.
Daiki had a face of dread, slowly forming a gritty teeth expression before he uttered out loud. "Everyone…'' He dropped on his knees and punched the ground, once more witnessing the death of those he couldn't save. ''NOT AGAIN!"
The Purrloin frowned, not sure how to comfort him. However, just then a burst of flames blows forward to their surprise. They then saw a figure in the same way as it moved towards him. Daiki pulled out his gun and tried to take fire only for a green energy bolt from the figure hit and melted his gun instantly to his dismay. What he saw emerged would leave an impression of what he would turn into: A black, golden Diend with thin green lining emerges from the flames, wielding a black, golden Diendriver with similar green lining too.
Daiki and the Purrloin watched with such dread by the masked figure as he spoke with a calculated, cold yet familiar voice. "Daiki, I told you to remain inside the base." He snickered a bit. "You were never one to listen to orders."
Daiki widened his eyes, recognizing that voice but… it can't be.
"N-Nii-san?" He uttered out in dismay with the Purrloin panicking and hiding back inside the bag. "W-what are-''
Laughing softly yet ominously, this Dark Diend began to respond amused yet cruel. "I am amazed you came here. Wish you died along with our family but I guess seeing you suffer is more than enough."
The Purrloin stuck out her head in shock while Daiki made a face like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. This was his brother, the one person he could always count on… and he betrayed everyone they loved and cared for; their own home and for what?! He slowly lost it as Daiki's expression slowly became a face of fury and hate.
"Y-you…" He started to utter before he came charging at him with a punch. "YOU!''
Dark Diend snickered, seemingly lifting his free arm but before he could do anything else; a voice spoke. "Who is this, Junichi?"
This shocked Dark Diend as Daiki immediately stopped. The two turned as an Aurora Curtain manifested and emerging out were dozens of Dai-Shocker Foot soldiers and walking out slowly was the Great Leader, looking darkly towards the two.
Dark Diend staggered as he de-transformed back to Junichi and bowed down to him.
''Great Leader." He began to speak humbly as he answered his lord's question though hesitant. ''He is… My little brother, Daiki."
Dark Tsukasa hummed as he looked at the young man and scoffed, proclaiming uncaring. ''No need to kill him. He is your only family on this dead planet.'' He slowly made an evil smirk. ''At least if he becomes useful for Dai-Shocker."
This got to Daiki's nerves, almost wanting to punch him but his body refused to move. It was his mere presence, his aura and power; very dark and evil like he was the very devil.
"This world is dead to me now. Take him with us." The Great Leader proclaimed coldly, having had his fun in this world but it has become a boredom. Junichi nodded firmly as he told his little brother. ''You should be honored, Daiki. Now come unless you wish to be dragged by force.''
Daiki glared enraged, preferring to die but then he would be no more like everyone else who died here. He… He didn't want that.
Submitting to his cowardliness and fear, Daiki came along with the Purrloin who was hiding in his bag. It was the last time Daiki was able to look at his destroyed, abandoned world as he was taken to the enemy's world; the World of Negative. He learned, after he was painfully, torturing and aguishly experimented on to give him the skills and abilities to be a tool for Dai-Shocker that his brother had joined them before the invasion of his world. Betrayed that he would sell his own kind like that, Daiki managed to escape that damn world with his new superhuman ability of summoning Aurora Curtains. With it, he escaped and ran. He had no home, nothing to return to. Not even revenge.
He had nothing but his own skin to care for; only himself. Discarding his past principles, Daiki began to steal so he could survive and then began stealing just to fill his empty heart. Treasures of many worlds that will be lost in time or at the end of that world's time; he would obtain them so they live on with him. And that's when he learned of the Diendriver and stole it on the time that Natsumi's grandfather was murdered by Narutaki… and when he first met him. He offered him a simple deal and Kaito openly accepted, working together with the Absol to take Decade's powers. He did this for another reason; to make sure another Decade would never be born… but that changed when he met him, Tsukasa, and something different… changed: A rivalry that gave him a new purpose. Maybe… maybe that was what he needed; someone to call… a friend.
Kaito breathes, ignoring what he witnessed in his past but admitting his want for revenge would have turned him into Geiz. They would be chained up by hate, something he doesn't want. He then tells the young woman. "I understand what it feels like everything has been robbed from you." He eyes Selina and thinks of his brother before responding. "But I know most treasures, corrupted by the past or dark intentions, should be destroyed."
This brings dread to Tsukuyomi, not wanting to hear that but he isn't wrong either.
"… He was my friend." She expresses, hoping that there's a way to-
However, her words are suddenly cut off as an explosion blasts the wall next to them, sending them flying backwards. Daiki grunts, getting up as Selina purrs in panic. "NYAN!"
He turns around and sees Geiz in human form approaching out of the hole he blew up.
"Yea, some friend." Daiki mutters sarcastically with Selina gulping.
Geiz had a crazy glare, looking at them before turning towards the only person he cared for and now she's sided with the enemy.
"YOU DARE BETRAY ME TOO, TSUKUYOMI!" Yelling out with no more sense of reason, Geiz accuses her as he walks towards her but Kaito stands in his way.
"She didn't betray you, you did that yourself." He tells him off, pointing his finger at him. "And I intend to set you free from your obsession."
He gives Selina a gaze to not join the fight. The purple cat scoffs as she leaps away. Smirking, Daiki turns around with a firm gaze as he slides and loads his Diend Rider Card into his Diendriver.
"Henshin!" He shouts, taking aim with his gun over his head and fires it, wrapping its energy around him.
"KAMEN RIDE! DIEND!" The Diendriver announces as Daiki transforms into Diend, twirling his gun before aiming it at Geiz and fires at him. Geiz dodges around the attacks as he leaps outside.
"You will die here.'' He proclaims as this time he pulls out a different Ridewatch that resembles a dark blue colored, rectangle hourglass that has the face of Geiz on the front as well as an orange-like forehead before he presses the button of it. "GEIZ REVIVE!'' He thrusts the Ridewatch onto the left side of his Ziku Driver as he also inserts his Geiz Ridewatch on the right slot.
He taps the top of his driver as a new holograph forms from behind him that the colors are, in order from top to bottom: Yellow, orange, purple and blue. A spinning white glowing hourglass forms and spins in a counter clockwise before he twirls the driver as the hourglass spins in reverse and locks, standing up-side up.
"RIDER TIME!" The Ziku Driver announces as new chain-like dark golden rings in a circular sphere forms around him as well as Geiz's visor manifests behind him.
"RE-VI-VE FURY! FURY!" The driver chants as the rings shatter away, revealing an orange armored, black suited version of Geiz as the visor pieces attach themselves to his face helmet, forming his visors. He also wields a gray-orange, blue lining chainsaw-like weapon on his right hand.
Diend scoffs upset, not expecting him to also have a Super form too. This still isn't going to stop him as he fires multiple shots as Geiz walks through them, sparks flying out of him but not even faze him. Geiz taps on the top switch of his weapon as it announces. ''POWERED SAW! SAW DIVIDER!" The saw blade begins spinning rapidly as he swings it at Diend who quickly evades. He slides and loads a card into his gun as Geiz swings in an upward slash.
''ATTACK RIDE! BARRIER!'' The Diendriver announces as a cyan colored barrier forms around Diend and blocks the saw attack… except it begins to shred through the barrier to Diend's shock. He quickly slides in another card and takes aim as Geiz tears through his barrier completely.
''ATTACK RIDE! DIEND BLAST!'' The Diendriver announces as Diend fires multiple powerful shots that pushes and blasts Geiz away from him. He then pulls out another Rider Card and inserts it into his gun too.
"ATTACK RIDE! ILLUSION!'' The Diendriver announces as Diend fires multiple beams around Geiz and they become copies of Diend. They all snicker, rubbing the bottom end of their weapons before they dash at him, either kick, punching or up-close blasting Geiz.
Geiz begins to growl as he times it and swings his saw blade weapon in a 360°-degree swing and fires an orange energy beam that slashes all the Diend copies and destroys them. He then pulls the Geiz Revive Ridewatch, flipping it upside-down and slides it back in the Ziku Driver as he spins it counter clockwise.
"REVIVE-REVIVE-REVIVE! REVIVE-REVIVE-REVIVE!'' The driver suddenly chants excitedly as silver chain-like rings form around him in a sphere and shatters, transforming him into a blue armored version of his Revive form with wide, winged-like shoulder pads. He now wields a gray-blue weapon with blue sharp ended claw-like blades. "REVIVE TYPHOON! TYPHOON!''
Geiz suddenly dashes right up to the real Diend, much faster than he could react before he slashes Diend with his claw-like weapons. Sparks fly out as the impact pushes Diend backwards, nearly causing him to fall onto the ground but he holds his stance. Grunting, Diend slides a card into his gun and loads it in.
''ATTACK RIDE! INVISIBLE!" The Diendriver announces as he becomes invisible. Geiz doesn't bother looking around as he taps on his claw weapon's button as his body radiates in blue energy.
''SPEED CLAW!" The weapon announces as Geiz dashes forward with unbelievable speed, a literal blur that covers the whole area within seconds all while thrusting his weapon forward to hit Diend. The invisible Diend tries to evade him with his own speed but Geiz is too fast, finally hitting him so hard that Diend becomes visible as multiple sparks fly out of him. He groans, heavily staggered that Geiz continues his brutal onslaught, slashing him over and over and over until Geiz finally slashes him harder that he's sent flying and crashing onto the ground.
Selina watches with a horrific expression to see Diend this beaten up, struggling to pull himself up.
"Damn it…" Diend curses out, not able to even lift himself up. Geiz begins approaching menacingly, going to put an end to him until the Purrloin pounces at him with a Sucker Punch. "NYAN!" She meows angrily, punching Geiz only to hit nothing as Geiz evaded instantly and then he slaps her onto the ground.
Diend sees this and lectures her, angrily. "Selina, idiot! I told you not to get involved!"
Selina hisses, standing up as she starts yelling back at him, pointing her paw at him. "NYAN NYAN-NYAN NYAN!" She calls him out on his fear and that he's better than this to let some nobody beat him like this.
Diend doesn't say a word, not expecting the same thieving cat to lecture him too. Geiz still comes at them but Selina intercepts, using Double Team to confuse him as they all taunt him. Geiz becomes mad as he dashes through each fake Purrloin before smacking the original back to the ground. Selina, however, stands up again hissing as she uses Shadow Claw to slash him but Geiz easily repels and pushes her onto the ground.
Selina hisses, still coming at him only to get smack over and over onto the ground. Diend watches this and scoffs, somber at his own foolishness. ''… Idiot.'' He gets up, regaining his strength before he dashes in between Geiz about to hit Selina and he blasts him by the chest.
''Get away from my partner!" He proclaims firmly, blasting him again but Geiz slashes the attacks with ease. He then taps the Ziku Driver as it announces. "EXTREME!"
Diend tries to fire again but then Tsukuyomi runs in front and pleads to her friend. ''Please stop, Geiz!" Geiz pauses as she tries to reach out to him. "You said you would be the guardian that will save this world! Please return to who you were!"
"… I won't be betrayed by anyone else!" Seeing nothing but his goals being blocked, Geiz denies her words as he leaps upward. She panics as Diend moves her aside and comes at Geiz for more shots. However, he tanks them as he performs a Rider Kick as holographic hourglass forms behind him and flies past him and hits Diend, stunning him. He tries to overpower this pain but couldn't as Geiz descends and comes down at him with a Rider Kick. "TIME BURST!"
Selina panics and she's too weak to stop this. Diend watches with a small snicker, wondering if this will kill him. However, he panics as Tsukuyomi gets in front of him and protects Diend as the kick connects and explodes.
''NO!'' Diend yells out in horror as the impact of the explosion frees him. He watches as Tsukuyomi slowly walks out from the smoke of the explosion but her body is glowing as sparks of light. Diend and Selina are silent as the young woman tries to smile weakly.
''P-Please… don't let…'' She begins to beg, limping towards Diend as she tries extending her arms towards him. ''Our deaths… be in… vain…''
Diend tries to reach out but her body finally gives up and she becomes sparks of light, fading away. Selina is shocked while Diend is silent, squeezing the hand he tried to grab onto her and clenches it angrily. He lifts his head towards Geiz who walks forward, not even showing remorse for her death. Just the way he moves is exactly like his brother moved that day… and it pisses him off.
"You would kill your own friend..." Diend utters as he pulls himself up, having such emotions coursing through him. "I never felt so determined to care for someone else like this…" As he recalls how he threw himself to save Tsukasa from Narutaki's certain killing move… that would have killed him.
Becoming madder, Diend then proclaims madly. "Now I can't let her only memories of her friend succumb into darkness and nightmares." He raises his gun at him, shouting enraged. "I won't forgive you!" Suddenly his body erupts in cyan aura energy, burning hotly across Diend's body.

"NYAN-NYAN!" Selina meows loudly, feeling how much power he's outputting out of nowhere. Diend looks at his hand, squeezing his hand as he can feel this energy flowing out of him. He nods, going to use all this power to win this fight even if he risks it all.
"To think I'll have to try this dangerous play." He comments as he pulls out 8 Rider Cards and slides all of them into his gun, loading them up.
"KAMEN RIDE! KAMEN RIDE! KAMEN RIDE!" The Diendriver announces multiple times as Diend takes aim with his gun over his head and tells off the insane rider. "I hope you're ready to face all of my treasures, Geiz." He fires the triggers as 8 shots are fired and the orbs all descend in a horizontal row.
"G3! KNIGHT! KAIXA! GARREN! IBUKI! GATACK! ZERONOS! IXA!" The Diendriver announces as each orb becomes the summoned rider forms, becoming the Secondary riders. Diend then snaps his fingers from his free hand and then points at Geiz with that same hand. "Get him."
Immediately they all charge with Gatack first going Clock Up and slashing Geiz who blocks the slash with ease. Then he's shot by G3-X, Garren, Ibuki and Ixa's weapon shots followed by Gatack's shoulder cannons. Sparks fly out of Geiz, stunning for Knight, Kaixa and Zeronos to slash him with their weapons and more sparks fly out.
Diend sees this chance as he thrusts in a Rider Card and loads it into his gun.
''ATTACK RIDE! CROSSATTACK!'' The Diendriver announces as all the summoned riders unleash their signature attacks and hits Geiz over and over, sending him flying into the air. However, he adjusts himself and twirls the Ziku Driver.
"FINISH TIME! REVIVE!" The Ziku Driver announces as Geiz does a Rider Kick pose. Enraged, Diend pulls his final Rider Card and loads it into his gun.
"FINAL ATTACK RIDE!" The Diendriver announces as Diend leaps upward as all 4 summoned riders become energy, surrounding around Diend as he takes his own Rider Kick.
"EXTREME TIME BURST!" The Ziku Driver declares as Geiz's body radiates in orange, red and blue energy while flying at Diend with his kick but the Diendriver also announces as Diend radiates in a blue cyan energy. ''DIEND!"
The 2 Riders collide and clash kicks in a burst of energy, overpowering the other's kick but then Geiz is slash by Selina's Sucker Punch, leaping past him. This distracts Geiz as Diend overpowers and kicks through him. He kicks past him and lands on the ground with Selina landing on top of his head, panting before Geiz's body glows and explodes.

Diend breathes heavily, reverting back to normal while Purrloin purrs with a smirk that he did a good job. Kaito turns around as Geiz crashes on the ground. He walks towards him, looking down to see Geiz reverted back and bleeding.
"Are you done being crazy?" Daiki questions him, pretty beaten up but still smug. However, he immediately frowns as he sees Geiz crying out tears of blood with a dreadful expression. ''So you notice?''
Geiz nods, still sobbing as he can't believe he did that to Tsukuyomi and realizes his mistake.
"I just… I just wanted to protect all that remain in my life and instead…'' He begins to say, gritting his teeth as he slams his hands on the sandy ground. ''I couldn't do a damn thing to stop him."
"… I get it.'' Daiki expresses, understanding his frustration and hopelessness. Geiz eyes him, having been wrong about him too. He pulls off his Ziku Driver with both his prize Ridewatches still attached.
"P-Promise me…" He begins to plead to Daiki, forcing him to hold up his driver towards him. "That no one else dies the way I will." He cries again, begging him as his body starts to glow like Tsukuyomi did. "Promise me… please."
Daiki looks down at him and kneels down, reaching and accepting his driver and RideWatches.
"I promise through your treasure." He vows, not going to let this happen again. Geiz slowly cracks a joyful smirk before his body gives in and he becomes sparks of light, fading away.
Selina purrs with sadness in her tone as Daiki looks at what remains of Geiz, frowning. He turns around and walks to the destroyed hideout. He picks up any materials and forms 2 crosses before stabbing them onto the ground.
''Nyan-Nyan.'' Selina purrs as this feels like a waste of time. Daiki agrees but also protests. ''I had to, I owe them some respect.''
The Purrloin nods, getting it too, as the two look down at the graves in a moment of silence. This goes on for a while before the two walk away.
"Nyan?" Selina purrs, asking Daiki what they'll do now. He's been thinking about it too, having experienced something he'll prefer to forget but it's like the old saying: One cannot escape from their past.
"… I lost all of my treasures a long time ago…" Kaito begins to say, thinking of his family and friends all gone but then thinks of Tsukasa, Natsumi and the others. "It's only been recently that I gained new ones to fill my heart."
He becomes serious, squeezing the handle of the Diendriver as he can't let the same thing happen again.
"I can't lose Tsukasa-san or Natsumi-chan to Dark Decade." Daiki proclaims determinedly, sounding like his old self but now with a desire to protect them. "I won't… I refuse to lose any more of my treasures!"
Selina eyes him and smirks, happy to hear that. That's what she liked about him when he was naïve; he was kind.
Just then the Ziku Driver glows. Daiki notices this as it's not the only thing. All the other Drivers from the defeated Secondary riders all glow as they manifest and float around him. Then the Diendriver glows as all the drivers begin to shrink down into orbs of energy, shooting themselves into the gun.
"Nyan!" Selina meows in gasp. Daiki watches as his driver changes, becoming more cyan blue and slightly upgraded.
"This is…" He mutters as his evolved driver pops out multiple cards and these are based on the 10 Neo Heisei riders. Staring amazed, Daiki smirks, getting the gist. He turns to the Purrloin and tells her, more confident about this. ''Selina, I'm done being a coward. We're going back there and putting an end to my brother and Dark Decade.''
"Nyan!" Selina purrs, slamming one paw onto the other as if she's been itching for payback. She jumps on Daiki's shoulder as he then says with a sly smirk, twirling his new Diendriver. "That and I get to rub my new power to Tsukasa-san too. Should be fun.''
Selina purrs in agreement as an Aurora Curtain manifests and they enter inside, leaving this world behind… until Daiki stops in his tracks and hums. ''Huh… Do we know where Tsukasa is?''
Selina blinks awkwardly and just shrugs her shoulders with a clueless expression. Kaito sighs, thinking for a moment. If he's not here, then what other world- No, Tsukasa is not stupid to go there now. It's a suicide mission to fight Dark Decade.
''Decade is in the World of Negative, saving Natsumi.'' Kaito's face slowly morphs into a stun, shocking expression by the voice that just spoke. He and Selina quickly turn around as someone is there. The only thing of notice was what he was wearing, a light brown fisherman's hat and rain coat and it shocked Daiki. "You..."
As Kaito is confronted by someone of the past, someone else is walking over the empty tombstones of Geiz and Tsukuyomi, looking down at them.
"Rejoice, memories of my old friends." The voice of a young man proclaims with such passion. "Everything is going according to our king." He soon walks away from the graves, twirling around as he's holding a large book on his right arm. ''Soon, his intentions will be realized."
Walking back and forth impatiently, Tsukasa has been waiting for 2 hours for Dragonic to locate the World of Negative. He could have done that himself but the dragon is a better expert than him.
Grunting, he asks him for the 18th time. ''Any luck?"
Dragonic turns around towards him and frowns, responding. "Well I found it, I just can't access it."
Tsukasa raises an eyebrow as he theorizes. "So it's being blocked by something? Likely Dai-Shocker to keep uninvited travelers into their world?"
"Yes." Dragonic clarifies his suspicions with Sougo nodding silently.
"What can we do now?" Tsukasa questions the dragon who hums, not entirely sure. He could bash through the defense but it might not work. Another is he could ask help from those with a better grasp of time and space. Or-
"I know the backdoor to the World of Negative." The group becomes alarmed as Tsukasa turns around and stares at his sister of the other world, now wearing a traveling themed outfit. "Sayo."
Sayo frowns, having witnessed what Doctor Shinigami did. That bat was almost batty but kidnapping her other brother's… "friend" is crossing the line. She thought she wouldn't be needed but in case they had no way in her world; she does.
She reaches and hands a piece of paper to Dragonic who accepts it. He reads it and his eyes widen, studying the writing and nods excitedly.
''Those are the coordinates to my… My former world." She informs Tsukasa who is surprised she would give them that.
"Sayo." He mutters, not sure how to feel. Sayo isn't sure what to feel either but she does know that this is the right thing to do.
''I intend to see many worlds and take the pictures they show me." She begins to tell him, going to take his advice and see the world for herself. She knows it will bring joy rather than being poisoned by the same obsession of power like her brother. However, there is a thing she needs to ask of him; one more favor.
''… If you have the chance, please… Spare my brother." Sayo pleads to Tsukasa as she frowns, saddened. ''You're right; I was jealous of him and hated him. But he's still my brother. He's still someone I care for. So please-"
Tsukasa understands the gist and responses honestly. "I'll try."
She smiles a bit, not asking for more as she responds. ''I appreciate it…'' She reaches and hugs him. "Nii-san."
Tsukasa startles with soft red cheeks but smiles, hugging her back. Layla and Jigglypuff smile as does Dragonic, knowing that Tsukasa needed that.
With this sweet moment gone, Sayo bids her goodbye as she walks away, creating an Aurora Curtain and vanishes inside.
Breathing softly with a confident smile, Tsukasa turns to the other and proclaims. "Time to go.''
Dragonic smirks as the Hikari Studio begins to fade away, teleporting to the world that Natsumi is waiting for them.
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) This is now full on Fanfic territory, using elements from the Decade series from the TV Series, Movies and even Novels (which I already used so yea).
2) This world follows basically the dark future of Zi-O without spoiling it.
3) Made Geiz go through madness and despair through his quest to kill the Demon King. Honestly, not at all different from actual Geiz before meeting Sougo. Also gave him Armor forms from the Secondary Riders BECAUSE.
4) And yes, finally covering Daiki's past and yes, a somewhat tone down version of his TV Series version but it covers plenty and makes his journey much sadder and darker.
5) And also Dark Diend. Now Dark Decade is canon… for the video games, Dark Diend is more fan-made. It's fans being "If there's a Dark Decade, there should be a Dark Diend too" and I agree! There's a few fan versions for Dark Diend but the best one is obviously the black-golden one. And since I didn't want this version of Junichi to become Ace (yea, the TV Series had it since Daiki's first appearance was in the A.R World of Blade and it seems he has a connection with the World of Blade… but nothing to exactly explain why or meh?) so I made him Dark Diend just because why not?! Plus, it makes more sense later.
6) Right... Diend's Rider Kick... eh... I'll talk about this in a future chapter but yea; he's never done one ever but might as well give him one?
7) Oh yes, that's the Neo Diendriver. In case you don't know it; it's an upgrade to the original Diendriver that was never explained how it came to be… SO here's my version of how Daiki got it. Soon you guys will see it in action later.
8) Other Sayo helping Tsukasa enter the World of Negative. That's nice. Shows that Tsukasa changed her and she's now aiming to find her own journey.
9) And Doctor Shinigami knows much about Natsumi hmm...

The um… World of Zi-O is interesting for those who know it by watching Zi-O. Why didn't I make it unique like other A.R. Worlds? There is a reason why but I cannot discuss it. All in due time. It is somewhat touchy that I got to explore a different take to Daiki's past, similar to the TV Series but altered by having Dai-Shocker involved with his world's destruction and conquest.
Now… all the worlds are done. 1 thing left to do.
As I warned you guys since the end of the AR World of Gaim, Tales Of will be taking a month off to prepare for the finale. Still pretty behind so I need this extra time. Also there will be another pause before the final chapters so keep that in mind... BUT screw it! We are near the end. Let's just end Tales of the Decade before 2023 ends. SO...
