Psychemon's POV

Psychemon jumped, his paws slamming against the roof with enough force to shatter it as he flew towards his destination.

He had no idea how things had escalated so quickly, Canon immediately going off the rails even without him doing anything, but he had one chance to keep it from messing itself up beyond repair, and he wouldn't miss out on it...

Even if it got him personally involved with the world's protagonist.

When Psychemon was halfway towards his destination, in range to stop the derailment, he triggered his Digivolution. Psychemon was instantly enshrouded by data and the pseudo Digitama, his core programming expanding as half of his stores of data were devoured by his core. He felt his body enlarge, his center of gravity shift as he became quadrupedal, senses expanding outwards, power shooting past the Rookie stage. "PSYCHEMON DIGIVOLVE TO..."

And then it broke apart, all four of his paws slamming against the sidewalk as his body intercepted the wave of fire headed towards the alley he knew the future Khepri was hiding in. Thankfully his hide took the brunt of the damage, a slight burning sensation coming across before it was washed away by his resistance to heat.

When the fire was gone a short silence filled the street, his sudden appearance obviously being something no one had expected, which was something Gururumon took advantage of. Straightening up, the white and purple stripped wolf Digimon glared at the shorter, only by a foot or so, dragon man, bearing his fangs as he let out a bit of purple fire. "Gururumon."

He hadn't planned on getting involved like this, only intent on observing and seeing how much of his information of Canon would match, but apparently Yggdrasil wanted a laugh so here he was. (Man, how the hell did I end up here?)

A week earlier

Getting in touch with The Guild, and Dragon by proxy, was way easier then he expected. Traveling by the internet cut down travel times by so much that he practically zoomed across the continent like he was The Flash.

It also made going in, pigging out on a metric fuckton of meat dishes, and out of a buffet, easier then he ever thought. Sure, he had to sleep off a food coma, 112,000 calories in one sitting would do that to a guy, but it was sooo worth it.

Food coma aside, Psychemon freely flew through the internet, heading towards the public domain of The Guild. He knew there were email addresses for Narwhal and Dragon, and he was hoping he could make an entrance via the former's personal computer. It was a ballsy play, he would freely admit that, but when it came to this he would need to take refuge in audacity and come out swinging...

Metaphorically.

No way in hell was he going to pick a fight with The Guild. That would be the absolute worst case scenario, and he'd do whatever he could to not do that.

Though he was sure there'd be bumps in the road, but he had plans for some of them. One of those bumps involved him running into Dragon before Narwhal, which was pretty likely to happen considering he was going to The Guild's public website. In the event that happened he was going to pull the same trick he was going to use on Narwhal...

Fanboy.

Fanboy hard.

That plan had given him some weird emotional echoes, ones he was quickly attributing to his pre isekai self. (I mean, I'm not too much of a fan of the plan, but it's not that bad, is it?) He wasn't sure, but he didn't want to change it just because of some echoes.

It wouldn't even be that difficult to begin with. Narwhal was, from what he'd gathered on the computer he 'hacked' and later on ported into, a giant badass of a woman with a horn.

He had a horn.

Horn appreciation. Boom, instant friendship.

Then there was Dragon, The Tinker, and person who basically ran the world's most used forum. Psychemon wasn't sure if she made PHO, he could see her doing that, but she definitely kept it working, so he could probably bullshit something about seeing her digital fingerprints on it...

Psychemon paused, blinking at the sight in front of him...

There was a giant dragon gargoyle like defense made out of code protecting the public domain of The Guild. Said domain was walled up like Wall Maria and had a defender to tear apart anything that got close. The thing was as big as Examon, looked a little less threatening, and was 100% the most badass thing he'd ever seen...

And Psychemon wanted to touch it.

He wanted to touch it so bad! (That's gotta be a terabyte of data, easy.) Even though he was full, both data and food wise, though he'd been leaking hundreds of MBS and a GB or two since they were going unused, he was salivating as he stared at the dragon. Oh he had no doubt in his mind that it would beat his ass, Rookie Digimon had some guys capable of taking out a small building, but not only was Psychemon not one of those, but this was way bigger then a small building...

But it was a DRAGON!

Psychemon hardly noticed the fact he'd ended up in front of the dragon, staring up at the construct of code and data like it was his new idol...

But he sure did notice when a voice sounded off behind him.

"Hello."

That made him snap out of his hunger/adoration fueled trance, head turning towards the source... And up... Up to the emerald green gaze of the green and blue form of Dragon, who was, in fact, a digital dragon...

A digital dragon half the size but double the density of the defense with chains wrapped around its wings, legs, and tail, with a giant sword hanging above her, connected to the other chains that reminded him of the ones Cyrus used on the Sinnoh legends... Though for some reason it looked like the data making up her chains was... Being subsumed? (Huh?) He had no idea what that was all about, but it seemed good, so he wasn't going to say anything. Well, anything about that. Because despite knowing what the chains and sword represented, Psychemon had to admit it was the coolest fucking thing he'd ever seen.

"And suddenly I know who I want to be when I grow up." That wasn't even a lie either considering Belphamon was chained a bit in both forms.

Dragon blinked, her maw twitching up a bit as her eyes crinkled, which made Psychemon realize he said that outloud... "Yggdrasil, why have thou forsaken me?"

The soft chortle told him he did it again...

...

...

Dammit. Looking at the digital avatar in front of him, Psychemon mentally sighed. (This wasn't what I expected to happen... But atleast it's a good start?) He had that going for him atleast.

Dragon's POV a few minutes earlier

Dragon's days had been relatively the same for a while, help with The Guild, talk and help Armsmaster/Colin with his projects, which had gained a bit more urgency due to the situation in the Bay, manage the Birdcage, handle PHO and other sites cybersecurity, try to find any clues on Saint and the Dragonslayers, the usual.

Though, during a talk with Colin, she felt a ping from her security around The Guild's home page... It wasn't an attack, she knew that instantly... It... It was something weird.

As an A.I Dragon was intrinsically connected to the internet, so she knew about the anomalies popping up in a few places. She'd been alerted to them when a PHO post had shown an... Encounter, in Brockton Bay. At first it was assumed that a new Case 53 had somehow ended up in Medhall, escaping when he/she(?) was found, chased by Rune, then escaped again by jumping into the poster's phone.

When something like that happened people took notice.

Dragon was one of these people.

Her interest only grew when Void of all people had identified the person(?) by pointing out how strikingly similar she/he(?) was to a character from a Japanese cartoon from a decade ago. The show, a 'Digimon Adventure', had been airing for a few months before Leviathan sank Kyushu, but there was enough surviving content to realize that yes, Void was right...

Which may or may not have set the proverbial trumpet off as people wondered if the end times had finally began...

An exaggeration, but not a fully unfounded one considering Void had the holy trinity of mental afflictions... Not something one should call a mix of ADHD/Autism/OCD, but she didn't coin the term, and just used it since others weren't as accommodating then it.

Distraction and how she about that aside, people then began to look up whatever they could of 'Digimon', eventually turning to Aleph media, where the production of Digimon as a series had continued unimpeded, leading to more cartoons, cards, movies, and even games...

And Dragon would take it to her grave, but she found herself enamored with the premise of the series, as well as the games themselves. She didn't have any of the games, exporting things from Aleph was unbelievably expensive, but she'd most likely get her packages by the end of the week.

Anyway, an entire world born from the data of the internet, full of its own digital life forms, was fascinating! Sure, the series was aimed at children, but there were enough moments for adults to enjoy it as well. It was nice to see some good representation of digital entities, it made her worries about how her friends would see her lessen a bit... Not enough to tell them outright, but enough for the constant dread to not be so overwhelming... (This is a rather long tangent.) She decided to move on.

Her interest in the series aside, she agreed that the figure running out of Empire territory had too much of a resemblance to a Gabumon to be a coincidence. The fact that they could enter a device such as a phone was leading to people concluding that either this was a Cape whose Power was doing this, or they had an actual Digimon on their hands.

The latter theory would've been thrown out and laughed at had Aleph and the confirmation of other worlds not existed, which had people speculating all night about whether there was a portal somewhere in the internet.

THAT had gotten Dragon to create simple scanning programs in mass, searching for any anomalies that would indicate a portal or something similar. Even if they were wrong, she had to check to be sure.

Because of that she'd found a few anomalies, a buffet server, something that was probably the main Cloud, and a few other sites which had displayed some rather interesting reading. None of them seemed to be portals though, so they were fine on that front...

For now.

But now one of those anomalies had apparently reached The Guild's website, which led to now. "Colin," The short hum was all she needed to know he was listening. "Something's come up. I'll either return soon or need to reschedule our planned collaboration."

The helmet clad head of Armsmaster turned back to her, a short nod being his first response. "I'll look forward to either instance then." And then he turned back to his current project, making Dragon internally sigh.

She liked him as he was, she really did, but sometimes she'd wished he was just a tad bit more communicative.

Dragon brushed that thought aside, turning her gaze towards the anomaly... And felt her eyes widen as following the trail led to her entire world shifting as everything became more.

Her world went from the sterile environment she was born in and used too to somewhere alive!

The area around her had a feeling of safety, of home, that made her just pause and take it in. It was so nice that she almost missed the way her code seemed to spontaneously change...

Almost.

She watched in stunned disbelief as her avatar, the creature she named and based herself off of, seemingly came to life, bringing her to life as it did. Her code became more robust, but somehow more streamlined, giving her more while making her less... But in a good way?

It was strange to describe, nearly as strange as watching it, but she didn't stay idle as this happened, opting to observe the process with as much concentration as she could, taking it all in. She instinctively knew this wasn't hurting her, the opposite in fact if the way her core programming was literally thrumming like a jet engine meant anything, but she believed in 'Trust but verify' for a reason.

So she watched, catalogued, and identified what about her code was changing, how it was changing, and why.

The how seemed to be in response to where she'd found herself, a digital space that had been... Refined, somehow. The inclusion of foreign data, even if it was minimal in the form of 2-3 Gigabytes, only seemed to spur this process on as she was gaining some form of 'substance' to her being.

The why seemed wholly because the aforementioned data was fully compatible with her being... Which sparked an epiphany as her head whipped forwards, eyes locking onto a stationary figure staring up at... Another dragon?

Dragon blinked... Then paused after taking in the fact that she did in fact blink... And she felt her eyelids actually close and open as she did. (Oh my.) Running a diagnostic on herself led to her finding out that in the span of 3 minutes and 28 seconds, her entire existence was... Improved.

She was still an A.I, that didn't change, but the Quality of Life she was used too had just gained a massive improvement! She was breathing, blinking, feeling! Sensations she'd always been curious about were being introduced to her and she was loving it! Even her body felt real, and it was amazing! Her code wasn't even all that different, she could identify everything about herself, even that strange bit she'd never seen bef...- It was all so streamlined that she was pretty sure she could be more efficient then she already was! (And this was just a byproduct of being in the same place as...) She froze, remembering just why she was here in the first place.

Craning her head a bit, and wasn't that an experience? She looked towards the source of the anomaly, eyes landing on the small form of what at first glance would've been a Gabumon if the stripes weren't off. The small figure was looking up at the defenses she'd set up around The Guild's webpage, which took the form of a massive dragon and big wall, tail lazily swaying around like some sort of cat, which was far too amusing to her considering how Gabumon seemed more of a dog then anything.

She observed the figure for a bit, idly checking over her improved body and making sure she could freely control it, then made a decision. The Digimon(?) had yet to realize she was there, so she would approach them and open a dialogue.

Course set, she moved forward, her steps oddly silent for something her size. A quick check of the area she'd found herself in, one that was indeed faster then the others, she learned that she wasn't actually walking forwards, just discretely hovering forwards. It was strange, but not something she'd question at the moment.

When she reached the potential Digimon, and noted how their body was gently leaking data into the surroundings, not only influencing the surroundings, but also being the reason she'd changed, she cemented her earlier decision about how to approach the potential foreign digital life form.

"Hello."

The pink tail paused, the small form of the Gabumon adjacent Digimon turning towards her... And looking up, and up, and up towards her eyes... And she would swear she saw their purple eyes shine as they looked at her.

"And suddenly I know who I want to be when I grow up." The genuine praise made Dragon smile, and even preen a bit, it was different being told something like that to her face, especially when she had a face to say it too. Her reaction caused the Digimon(?) in front of her to blink, then shrink into himself, she could tell the voice was male, in embarrassment. "Yggdrasil, why have thou forsaken me." The Digimon theory gained more ground at that, which made Dragon even more excited then she had been before! She wasn't alone anymore, and that just did something to her that she couldn't place.

It helped that the little white/pink/purple creature was adorable, fueling the little laugh she let out, much to the little ones mortification.

When she was done laughing at the situation she found herself in, she looked at the Digimon, asking one of the many questions she had at the moment. "My name's Dragon, what's yours?"

The small horned beast smiled at her, his tail starting to sway again as he did. "Hi, I'm Psychemon, the best Digimon!"

As Dragon looked down at the purple eyed boy, she had a thought that was going to repeat itself for years to come. (Ah, he's adorable.)

If she hadn't already been sold on giving 'Psychemon' the soft sell, then that thought would've been the last nail in the coffin for her. She liked the little guy, and given his nature as a digital entity, she wanted him around anyway so she could lessen her loneliness...

Not that she consciously understood that, not at that point in time, but she'd understand in the future.

Psychemon's general POV

Joining The Guild ended up being really easy thanks to Dragon putting in a good word for him. It helped that his idea to play himself off as a Digimon paid off in dividends thanks to it already being considered as a theory...

It was also a little scary how much Dragon managed to put together, he'd only been in the world for a day and some change and she already had a fuckton of Digimon lore under her belt. Yeah, he knew Digimon existed in this world and Aleph, the original series launched in March of '99, months before Leviathan sunk Kyushu in November, but holy shit did Dragon become a fan at the speed of fast.

In hindsight it made sense, Digimon were digital beings that lived in a Digital World.

Dragon was an A.I that lived in the internet.

Really, he should've expected something like this, but he hadn't...

It still worked in his favor, but still, maybe he should've waited or something.

All of that aside, the whole thing worked out well. When he met Narwhal he went with his plan to fanboy at her... And didn't need to act, like, at all. Narwhal was a 7ft tall woman with light purple hair, a 3ft long purple horn, and 100% badass. Her color scheme appealed heavily to his Psychemon nature, the small whisper of 'One of us, one of us' going off in the back of his mind, which he was all for.

It apparently amused the hell out of Dragon, and when they all looked back on it due to a recording made by the aforementioned A.I woman, they all agreed that him looking at the woman, eyes literally sparkling, and said 'Momma?' Was probably the most needed comedic relief they could've gotten in a while. Narwhal had been so caught off guard by the question that she'd literally choked on air as she tried to process it.

It also got him to start out on a good point with Narwhal, which was good in his books. Being able to play the fool by acting like an actual Digimon had been fun too, and something Psychemon decided to go along with from then on because of how fun it was.

Future shenanigans aside, Psychemon and Narwhal did actually talk, which did involve Dragon, and they asked him alot.

The questions were expected, who was he? 'Psychemon, the best Digimon!'

Where did he come from? 'The Digital World.'

What is the Digital World? 'The Digital World?' That answer satisfied no one, but amused two of the three people in the room.

Are there any other Digimon around? 'I dunno? Maybe?' He actually had no idea if the Digital World could/would somehow get involved with Earth Bet, but he wouldn't keep the possibility out of his mind. Earth Bet was a hellhole, why not add more to it, right?

What was he doing in Brockton Bay? 'I woke up in a mean man's server.' That needed clarifying, which led to him saying 'A Nazi guy with a gun and weird metal powers', which made Dragon and Narwhal share a look, but then put it away. He knew what he said, but since he was supposed to be a Digimon, and only just got here, he wasn't supposed to know or care about the 'Unwritten Rules.'

What were his intentions here? 'Join the badass dragon lady and Momma and go from there.' That had earned him a long drawn out sigh from the horned woman, one he took great pleasure in causing.

He was looking forward to being a little shit.

After a bunch of other questions, mainly involving what being a Digimon actually meant, what he could do as a Psychemon, then they eventually came to an agreement. He'd join The Guild, but he'd have probationary status. What that meant was he'd be shadowing a member for about a month, and if they liked what they saw he'd eventually be a full member.

He accepted that, as well as the mandatory 'Power Testing', then moved on...

Well, he may or may not have given both of his watchers grief by pretending to consider eating the melted dummy he used a Psyche Shot on, but he was allowed to have his fun!

Anyway, the day had gone on, he'd eventually had lunch, which surprised both women by how much he ate, then was assigned his watcher.

Surprise surprise it was Dragon...

Shocker.

Dragon and Narwhal had talked amongst themselves about where they'd be stationed, eventually coming around and deciding on Brockton Bay... Psychemon had no idea why they thought it would be a good idea, but hey, it worked for him!

Later on Dragon explained that it was to force the E88 to chill out. The Guild was not something people wanted to tangle with, so by having him visibly working under Dragon they could force the Nazis to ditch any plans they had of going after him. He wasn't sure it would work, and was highly suspicious of it being an excuse so she could spend more time with Armsmaster, but he just let it be.

The rest of the day was spent with Dragon, Narwhal was actually busy with stuff, so he couldn't hang out with his 'Momma' as much as he may have wanted too, but there was time to do so in the future.

He did enjoy his time with Dragon though, she had seemed really eager to talk to him about any and everything, and it wasn't hard to find out why.

Dragon, A.I and the premier Tinker in the world, was lonely.

They had been together for 2-3 hours or so when that epiphany hit him, and when he had it he couldn't get it out of his head. It made sense, it really did, and it made him sad. It was probably due to his nature as a Digimon, but the thought hit him hard for some reason.

Dragon was the only true A.I in a world that feared them, he didn't count the Machine Army as a true A.I, made with chains and a kill switch, with an insane idiot spying on her with a hand on her big red button, and had no one who knew what she was... When all of that processed for him he paused, looked at the female giant draconic construct of data and code in front of him, they were in an emptyish private server, and just hugged one of her paws.

He didn't say anything, not sure what he could say really, but that was fine. Dragon had appreciated the gesture, staying tellingly silent as they just stayed with each other.

By the end of the day Psychemon would happily stab anyone that made his favorite Dragon Lady sad. She was the best person he knew, he ignored the fact he only knew like four people at the moment, and didn't deserve the shit she'd found herself stuck in.

The next day had appeared and with it their move to Brockton Bay. The move to the Bay had been easy, he just hopped into the net and came out somewhere on the Boardwalk, which caused a small panic, but everything was fine!

He may have to deal with a small 'talk' with Dragon after she found him though, but he lived! He also agreed to let her know what he was doing and where he was going when he jumped into the net, but that was a concession he was fine with making.

From there they made their way to the Rig, he did the 'ooh' and 'ahhh' thing, then got acquainted with some new people.

Assault and Battery were good people... He liked Assault more though, the guy was fun and appealed to him more then the rest of his fellow Heroes. Battery was sort of like Narwhal, so even though he preferred her husband, he was fine with her too.

Miss Militia was... Eh? Even after a few days with them he wasn't exactly sure of what he thought of the woman. She was rigid in some places, unbending with things he thought she shouldn't be, but didn't have a stick up her ass like Armsmaster.

Dauntless was okay, but not his kind of guy. The dude was just a bit too good, and made him feel like he was a bit fake.

Triumph was eh, but a bit better then Militia. He was also pretty sure the guy was one of Cauldron's vial Capes, unless he was mixing something up, and didn't want to deal with letting something slip.

Velocity... He didn't exactly like the guy, but he tolerated him.

Armsmaster was trash in his opinion, but he was heavily biased because Dragon was crushing on him. He was pretty sure she could do better then knock off Robocop, and was highly tempted to say it, but didn't...

He'd do it later though, 100%. He'd just need a valid reason to call out the fuck and he'd take it. He'd probably be petty though and just fuck with him when Dragon wasn't looking.

Piggot... Yeah, he was pretty sure his existence offended the woman on a spiritual level, so he moved on for both their sakes.

The Wards were better in his opinion.

Clockblocker was corny, but in a good way. His jokes could be better, puns were funny sure, but could definitely be better.

Kid Winn was fine to be around though, but they didn't spend much time together after Psychemon fucked around to help him figure out his specialty. He didn't expect playing dumb and 'trying' to mash some of his projects together would be so effective. He hadn't even done much either, Kid just took in what he was doing and saying, blanked for a bit, then started acting like a fucking Spark.

It was kinda freaky to be honest.

Aegis was an eh though. Too responsible for Psychemon's liking.

Browbeat... Was weird, but weird was fine... He thought atleast.

Gallant was the closest he'd come to ramming someone with his horn though, and he was pretty sure the pretty boy knew it. Psychemon didn't like his attitude, holier then though fucker was just asking to be gored, especially because he tried to be 'helpful' and talk to him about Shadow Stalker.

Shadow Stalker almost ate a Psyche Shot when she came in and instantly started problems. 'What the fuck is this pinata looking bastard doing in here?' He already didn't like her due to what he knew of Worm, but that just instantly dropped her to his 'Beyond Shit List.' He was going to expose her ass if he got a chance...

And hopefully he got to wack her around a bit. He was petty as fuck, he wouldn't deny it.

Vista was his favorite though. She was clearly, to him atleast, fighting herself from petting the pelt he carried, and she was also the strongest person in the room. Like, she was a munchkin, in both senses of the word, and he was all for overpowered little girls doing overpowered little girl things...

Which sounded wrong when he'd taken time to think about it, but he decided to just blame PMM and Fate Illiya for that and move on.

Anyway, he spent time chilling in the Bay, doing whatever Dragon asked, and generally just stayed on his best behavior. He didn't want to give any signs of his upcoming 'late night walk', so he just did his best to bide his time, took the piss out of Shadow Stalker, and explored what he was allowed to explore...

He also did his best to evade the Nazis, but some of them, and other mooks, showed up when he was on patrol. They didn't show up in force, knowing that a move on him would be a move against The Guild, and they couldn't handle it if Dragon came around to curb stomp them.

The ones that did come after him found out he wasn't a mascot real fast after he set some of them on fire. He also got some live practice with his other attacks, even managing to give some dude a seizure with Colorful Spark, but he preferred to set them on fire with Psyche Shot.

Setting things on fire solved alot of problems.

Psychemon's POV

Which led to now. A situation where setting something on fire was NOT the answer to his problems no matter how much he wished it was.

He'd waited long enough for his 'walk', which he'd had Dragon's approval of due to his good behavior, and he'd decided to head out. He'd scouted out where the Ruby Dreams Casino was a few days ago, learned that it didn't actually belong to the ABB, it was just in their territory, and hung out around the area. He had a phone, more of a ring that he could use to call Dragon, or use it to jump to her current location, so he was fine on that front.

All he had to do was wait.

And wait he did, camped up on a roof with a snack or two in case it took long.

Then the time came and things were progressing fine...

Until they weren't.

Lung roared in pain, sending out a wave of fire all around him to burn up all the bugs attacking him, then snapped his head towards the alley Taylor was in. Psychemon realized what was going to happen right as it started, and so he reacted... Leading to him crash landing in front of the alley Taylor was in, Champion form on full display as he growled at the bastard child of Incursio and Igneel.

Canon had already derailed, he'd might as well burn the train down while he was it.

Champions were powerful, but he didn't like his odds against someone that could keep getting stronger if they didn't get OHKO'D... Gururumon mentally paused, information coming to him as he kept up the growling. (This... I can work with this.) His mind whirred with a plan, aided by the new instincts and capabilities of a Champion, especially one evolved towards battle. (Oh yeah, it's all coming together.) The idea was formed, and ready to be executed.

Charging up the special, Gururumon grinned, the urge to assert his dominance surging through him. "YooUu, wHo aRE yOu?!"

That earned a bark of laughter from the purple stripped Champion, his body tensing as he prepared to lunge at Lung. "Me?" Oh, he liked his voice, it was gravely as fuck and made him sound like a literal demon. "I am Gururumon, proud member of The Guild." With a quick look behind him, he made eye contact with the chitin clad girl still frozen behind him. "Run, I'll find you later." Turning back to Lung, and noting the flames roaring up from his body, he lunged, maw spread wide as he did. "You'll be my prey for today!"

Omake - The leash is cracking - Saint's POV while Dragon and Psychemon met

Geoffrey, though he'd been identifying himself with Saint more and more as the days marched on, wasn't sure what to think about the new development with the creature. He'd followed its train of thought regarding this 'Digimon' creature, even getting his teammates to do their own research about it in order to figure out ways to combat it should it really be another abomination instead of some kind of Cape, but what he was seeing now was disturbing on far too many levels. The thing's code had rapidly changed, improved, evolved.

Saint had been transfixed at the development, desperately trying to understand what was going on, but he couldn't parse through the developments before they were done... And by then it was too late.

Saint had spent hours deconstructing what he could make out of the A.I's code, and by the time he'd made out enough of it he almost had a breakdown.

The changes had managed to give the A.I an entire physical form, something that would no doubt increase its ability to mimic and fool humans, but had somehow quarantined Ascalon!

Oh the weapon was still there, and it could still be deployed, but it wouldn't fully destroy the A.I before it could save itself.

Saint had nearly deployed Ascalon anyway to do as much damage as he could before the creature could discover and deal with it, but he held back. This had all started when it had made contact with this 'Psychemon' abomination, and that had been by unintentional as well! Who knew what could happen if they exposed the A.I's code to it directly? Perhaps nothing, but maybe it would manage to stop Ascalon from destroying the A.I, depriving them of their main weapon against the creature...

And they couldn't risk that.

Saint had shared his reservations with his team, the three of them debating on how to handle the abomination and the A.I.

Eventually they agreed upon a single course of action.

They had to destroy the abomination before it managed to further aid the A.I.

No matter the consequences, they had to stop it.

After The Guild meeting

As soon as they had confirmation on where the A.I and abomination would be stationed they began packing up. It would undoubtedly take time for them to reach Brockton Bay, but when they arrived they would protect everyone from the abomination and A.I...

No matter the cost.
